your tears had been trailing down your cheeks for the past fifteen minutes, the feeling of being heartbroken clouding your mind and body. your significant other of three years had just broken up with you because they found someone else and fell out of love with you. needless to say, as you sat on a bench waiting for your bus, you felt like shit.

wiping your tears, you stood up once you saw the bus and got your card out to be able to sit down and get comfortable. that is, until you saw the person you despised the most sitting at the window seat, lee yungyu. rolling your head and grunting, you shook it off and went on the bus anyway, trying your hardest to ignore the blatant (concerned) staring of yungyu.

yungyu noticed that there was an empty seat next to you, so he cleared his throat and shuffled to it, plopping himself down. sensing that something was wrong, he pulled out his headphones and placed one in your ear and right when you were about to smack him for getting too close, he pressed play on your current favourite song. your hand fell to your lap and you stayed still, letting the music lull you to sleep.

"you don't deserve to be treated the way you were." was the last thing you heard from yungyu before you closed your eyes and let sleep take over you.

you had been minding your own business the day you accidentally bumped into him in the school hallway. nothing fell, thankfully, but you quickly bowed and apologized before continuing on your way... not knowing you had run into the lee yungyu. an hour later you fell asleep in class and when you woke up, a milk drink with a note had been left on your desk. it read :

❛ can I get your name when you wake up? ❜ — the person you ran into earlier.

you furrowed your eyebrows and whipped your head around to see if you could find the culprit who left the drink only to see the cute, soft features of yungyu smiling at the classroom doorframe. and that's the story you tell everybody and their dog about the day you and yungyu met, now that you're in your last year of school.

winter had arrived and you were sitting peacefully on a bench at a park nearby your apartment. watching the snowflakes gracefully fall down from the sky brought a sense of calm and serenity to you. truth be told, you were waiting for someone. he was late, which was rare for him, but due to the pretty view of the freshly snow covered ground and pretty snowflakes... you weren't mad.

"I'm so sorry I'm late." the voice of seongmin made you smile and turn your head before you shook it. with a face like his, there was nothing that could ever make you upset with him. his cuteness and your bold personality is often considered a mystery due to how inseparable you two are.

"don't worry my love," you replied, extending your arm for him to grab so he could sit down with you. as he sat down you rested your head on his shoulder and held his hand. you smiled as he placed them in his coat pocket. "let's stay like this for just a little bit longer..."

the fairy lights in the room dimly lit you and jooyeon as he lay with his head on your chest. he had been plucking away at his guitar in an attempt to figure out a beat for his new demo track he needed to get done for an assignment. eventually though, he lost motivation and would rather spend his time basking in your warmth and the comfort you gave him instead of his assignment. you leaned back as a means to get more comfortable which meant jooyeon had been woken up from his daydream. he whined and in an instant resumed the position he was in before as he closed his eyes once again. as you played with his hair and hummed a few rhythms he had created earlier jooyeon slowly began to be lulled to sleep, eventually doing so. you chuckled before placing a chaste kiss on his forehead and whispered, "you're my everything."

you had been walking to their dorm like you normally would, hands in your pockets with your music playing through your headphones. nothing seemed out of the ordinary until you opened the door to find the lights off and nobody home. that was weird, considering you had just finished texting dawit that you were coming over. closing the door behind you, you cautiously turned on your phone flashlight and looked around. suddenly you felt arms around your waist and the lights around you turned on instantly and all seven boys yelled a 'happy birthday'! smiling, you turned around and saw dawit looking at you with pure adoration in his eyes. "thank you, dawit." he smiled, "you're welcome, lovebug."

to see keeho's back turn on you wasn't the only hard part about this situation. the events leading up to the outburst were inevitable, considering both you and him did nothing to solve them. though he could place all the blame on you, you could do the same, so it evened out. with that, he instead uttered the words 'we're done' and turned his back only to fight the urge to run back into your arms and say everything was a mistake. but how could he after he saw something no one should ever have to see? it made him feel like he was never enough for you, and it made you feel like an asshole for ever thinking what you did was a good choice. in the end, you had instigated it, and he ended it.
