Homeless practically gets adopted by a pack of mutants because by nature, mutants are pack creatures and even if this mutant (sheriff) is a little small (a baby?) and smells a little off- even to the mutants- he shouldn’t be out alone, doesn’t he know that there are humans about? Humans that’ll hurt him if he’s caught and obviously, he’s just a baby and can’t protect himself!!

Erm,, not particularly, the main focus of the story is the cybernetic mutants and tracking Wart down to..deal with him (ethically or not is yet to be decided)

I mean, obviously there’s Sheriff & Shooters bromance (bros before hoes and all that jazz) and maybe some light flirting and dirty talk but generally, shipping and relationships aren’t really the main focus; both due to my inability to write romance [aro/ace and all that] and because there’s not really a need to have it.

TLDR; there’s not any major shipping/romance because the story doesn’t need to have it

Anyways!! Map!! I did one awhile ago and, despite how goofy it looks (you can only do so much with the free version of inkarnate) it gets the point across

(It doesn’t include the floating Islands, I couldn’t figure out a way to show them)

So, there’s the four corners I guess you could call them, and they’re pretty much just different climates. Technically, they’re part of the land kingdom and are under Sapphires rule, but excluding Fanterra, they each have their own respective rulers. (Sapphire, as much as she tries cannot be in several places at once.)

I think the map is pretty self explanatory as to what each of the climates are like in the areas so I won’t go into too much detail about them.

Then in the centre is the Lake of Kings- or more commonly known as the Sea Kingdom. There’s not much to say about it other than there’s two rivers that lead out to sea and there’s two major kingdoms- these being the lake (the “main” kingdom) and the sea, the rivers aren’t big enough to actually house anyone and are more like the highways of the water.

And they’re not shown but the floating islands are obviously above that, with the “main hub” sitting over the lake and the castle just above that. There’s branching islands off of the main hub that are a number of things, housing, farms, buildings like libraries and schools. Basically the extra things surround the main hub (which gives it its name, it’s in the centre of the islands and is therefore seen as the main hub)

And that’s pretty much it and like I said, it’s pretty goofy looking but it gets the point across as to what everything is, what it’s called and where it’s placed. The layout may change one day I’m not too sure. The current is a little iffy with me but that’s future problems for a future Bagel.

Which of the characters are you most excited to give a painful death in your MBEtN AU? /lh

Anyways. They’re all pretty violent deaths, and I’m excited to write all of them really BUT if I had to pick one or two I’d say the second one I’m really excited for (obviously I’m not saying who’s death it is, that’d spoil the fun part) but the death itself is pretty brutal. Not because it’s particularly slow and painful but because it’s so quick you can’t even process what happens. One moment a persons standing in a glass box and the next, they’re squashed flat as a pancake under a solid box of metal.

I also am excited for the very first one (which I’m so so close to getting up to in my writing!!) because who doesn’t want to write about someone getting disintegrated by an entire pool full of acid. Fun stuff, really.

Anyways. They’re all really exciting to write and I can’t wait to get up to them but the first two are a couple of my favourites (special mention to the fourth death which, while not physically painful, is quite emotionally painful.)

Does The Isles have any unique foods/delicacies?

Short answer, not really. Food in the Isles is more or less food here with some exceptions.

In places like the Bone Desert (did I ever share the map I made??) you’ll find some unique foods, such as their rock fruit- called that because the shell’s appearance is similar to a rocks. It’s hard to break into without assistance but the work is worth the reward. The actual fruit itself is quite sweet and is typically a very reddish/pink colour.

It’s quite a common fruit too, grown mainly at the small settlement near the bridge that connects the bone desert and the Jungle of Whispers. It’s grown here round as the fruit plant has adapted to the harsh heats and the fact the Bone Desert doesn’t experience the cold Tempestra brings as harshly and for the most part, stays hot year round.

Because of its sweetness, Rock Fruit is often fermented and turned into wine, usually only to be sold to the upperclassman of the world.

This next one is a little…odd…trust me, everyone in the Isles thinks the same. Fried coral. Obviously, it’s native to the Sea Kingdom and is eaten as a snack item rather than a meal.

Basically, a certain type of coral is grown (what I’ll call said coral, I don’t know) and harvested and then “fried” (read: dried out over a fire) and then eventually placed into bags and sold, typically at fairs because of the fact it’s more a snack item.

Uhh,, can’t think of any more at the moment (I kinda just made these two up right now. But that’s a good thing!! These questions make me do world building, which I’ve been meaning to do more of‼️‼️)
