I bought a load of polishes from someone who was having a destash. This polish was one of them. I didn't take much interest in it as it's a pale pastle lilac. I decide to try it a few days ago and I love it! It's from the NailKale range and is called Duke Street. I tend to change my polish every other day as I can't stand the chipping that just get from most polishes. And I have to admit I do enjoy picking at my polish!!! However, I love this polish. It's lasted 4 days with minimal wear and tear and it's also good for your nails! There was no need for a base coat, I applied 2 think coats of the polish and topped with Seche Vite. Each layer of polish dried within minutes. I love this polish and although I wouldn't spend £15 on a high street polish...I could be tempted by this.

I decided to do something new! I got nail mail from LA Cosmetics (via etsy) and Born Pretty Store yesterday. I added to my small collection of LA Cosmetics Jelly polishes so decided to blend the colours over a base of white. I just applied 2 layers of colour and allowed to dry. Then stamped over with black Temix stamping polish and stamping plate BPL027 from Born Pretty Store. Then applied Duri Rejuvacote as a top coat (which smudged a little 😢). I then applied the gorgeous Nail Noms cuticle balm. I love this look but it’s a bit of a fail due to smudging and the fact that my cleanup brush is ruined. So my nails have been reshaped but I hate that they are so short. They've not grown much over the past 4 weeks and the cuticles are a mess. Then I realised....I've not been using my Duri Rejuvacote! So I'll be using it as a base and top coat for all my manicures. Oh and it doesn't smudge my stamping #win ! Still in love with @lacosmetics1 basic polish. Stamped perfectly! Base coat is @colorclubnaillacquer Harp On it. Stamping image is from the Super Placa B plate. Getting crafty. I took a couple of the sauce cups from the restaurant at my local Ikea. I cut it down to get a tight fit for my Creative Stamper head to fit snuggly. Et voula! This is so much easier to handle than the CS holder!!! And it picked up the image a lot better. May have to think about decorating though lol

Trying out a new technique. Purple Jelly polish is from LA Cosmetics who sells via etsy. White Knight stamping polish by MoYou and using Born Pretty plate BP L006. This as so easy to do..... I did 2 coats of Violetta Jelly polish, once dry I stamped the vertical dog tooth pattern over the top. I then added one coat of Violetta Jelly polish. Once dry I stamped the diagonal dog tooth pattern over the top. Then a final coat of Violetta Jelly polish. No top coat has been added as I wanted to show how shiny this polish is. I will add a coat of WAH London Classy Glassy Topcoat.

Hi, My names Carlie and up until a year ago I had stubby nails (and a bad habbit of biting them). That all changed when I started painting them. After a few weeks I bought some nail vinyls and that was the beginning of my love of nail art. I’ve recently joined a nail art page on Facebook but it’s a world of mysteries to me. Fancy joining me on my journey of discovery? I’ll be reviewing nail polishes from the high street and indi brands. I’ll also blog about a variety of nail art accessories and stamping products. And most importantly I’ll be posting photo’s of nail fails, successes and nail mail. So feel free to ask any questions (not forgetting that I’m still fairly new to nail art), share any hints and tips and just give me your opinion on my nail art.
