Business Proposal But it's Pompouspep

*Drunk fanfic author ramble ahead*

Sorry my TF2 beans, this one's for the phandom!

I just find it crazy that no one has written this AU yet considering how well it fits their dynamic, especially Vlad's characterization vs Kang Tae Moo. Will I ever write this as a full fic? Probably not considering I want to finish my TF2 story and that might take many months, so I write this instead :)

If you haven't watched Business Proposal: The daughter of a very wealthy CEO keeps getting set up on blind dates with young CEOs with the intent for her to marry one of them. But the young heiress despises this and keeps paying her considerably poorer best friend to go on the dates in disguise and be such an awful date the men are turned off of her. But when she goes out with one particular CEO (Kang Tae Moo), nothing she does phases him, and he decides she is the one he wants to marry. Chaos and panic ensure, especially once he finds out the woman he wants isn't who she says she is.

See what I mean?

Now, in the Danny Phantom AU, Danny and Vlad both have their powers, but have never met. Vlad, Maddy, and Jack are still old college friends, but they actually did keep in touch, but aren't besties. Hence why Danny and Vlad haven't met. Both Vlad and Danny use their powers the same way they do in the show, but Vlad keeps to Wisconsin and thus Danny hasn't fought him as Plasmius either. The trio is around 23 or 24, and either about to graduate college or have recently graduated.

Sam's parents are repeatedly trying to force her into an arranged marriage with rich men, but she's a girlboss and takes care of being so rude and argumentative that all the men are turned off of her. Until she is contacted by multi-billionaire Vlad Masters for a blind date. But here's the thing (I'm getting excited), somehow the person Vlad thinks he's going on date with is Sam Manson, not Samantha. In other words, he assumes she is 'Sam Manson's' assistant, and he will be going on a date with a man. And Sam sees an opportunity.

So she bullies Danny into going on the date and ruining it for her, mostly because he's constantly teasing her about how her wealthy upbringing must be "soooo hard". Naturally, Danny doesn't look like a rich kid, so he goes in his ghost form, but walks and acts normally so it just looks like he has bleached hair and green eyes.

And Danny really does try to ruin the date (despite this older guy being kind of hot), but nothing he does throws Vlad, partially because he's constantly distracted with calls from work. In desperation, he comes onto Vlad HARD and suggests they get a hotel room, only to be totally floored when Vlad isn't turned off by him acting like a slut and instead agrees.

Luckily, Danny is saved by a sudden ghost attack, and the two get separated. Or Danny thinks they do. Of course, Danny has to fight this ghost, so he transforms into his suit, but never turns back into his human self. And this is what Vlad sees. And being a man of science, Vlad knows that only halfas are able to use their transformation rings.

Thus, Vlad is goes from being interested to OBSESSED with Danny (or Sam, he thinks). He's literally perfect: he's gorgeous, rich, from an influential family, didn't seem to be after Vlad's money from the way he was talking, and most importantly-the only other half ghost in existence!

Of course, he has to go 'investigate' this interesting little halfa who insists on being called 'Phantom', as Plasmius, and they trade some banter but don't outright antagonize each other. Vlad likes what he sees even more.

After dealing with the ghost attack, Danny can't find Mr. Masters anywhere, so he goes home thinking he's done a good job, only for Sam to bust into his room the next day with Tucker (they all live together), demanding to know why Vlad Masters wants to marry Sam Manson and WHAT DID YOU DO?

Under pressure to get rid of Vlad before he speaks to Sam's parents, Danny meets up with Vlad again and tells him they're not getting married, but the asshole takes it as a challenge. (Toxic, but it's Vlad, c'mon). He probably says something like: "Nobody says no to Vlad Masters". And Danny's like: "Is that a threat?" And Vlad says: "Of course not my dear. People don't say no to me because they want to say yes. Give me a week and I'll show you why." And Danny probably insults him, calls him 'Fruitloop' and leaves, thinking he's finally rid of him.

Spoiler: He's not. And Vlad shows up where Sam works, expecting to find him, only to find a completely different person. Of course, he's pissed, and threatens to expose Sam's lies to her parents and to ruin them financially if she doesn't bring the impostor to him, which she does. She does give Danny a heads up so they can come up with a lie about who he is and a fake name.

But to Danny's surprise, Vlad doesn't threaten to ruin HIM, instead he basically declares that he doesn't have any use for more money and connections, and he still intends to pursue Danny despite him not being rich. Which gets a hell no from Danny. I haven't decided if by that point Danny has recognized Vlad in some of his parent's pictures or his dad has shown him some newspaper or magazine declaring that 'their old buddy Vlad' is in town or something, or if Danny is just turned off by his general fruitloopness, but either way, Danny says no.

Does Vlad give up? Nope. Thus, poor Danny has to endure weeks of stress because he can't let Vlad find out where he lives, goes to school, or works, or he's bound to see him in human form. The man keeps calling him, and all he has to do is vaguely threaten Sam's family and Danny will go out with him again. And oh god, why is Vlad actually kind of hot and a seems like a decent guy who is genuinely into him? And why is he suddenly an investor at the Science/Space/Astronomy place Danny works at? (This is actually a coincidence). And now he's visiting his parents when Danny's there? HE'S DEFINITELY GOING TO RECOGNIZE DANNY'S FACE! ...Right? Plus, where the hell did the hot blue ghost with the stupid hair come from and why does he keep hitting on Danny?

I don't have the latter half of the story planned out, but the way I think it goes is Vlad is planning a romantic way to tell Danny he's also Plasmius and he knows Danny's also a halfa, and they're meant to spend eternity together. Then, he accidentally sees Danny turn from Phantom to Fenton, and it all makes sense. And he is MAD. Not because of who Danny really is, but because he was deceived.

Thus, plans for revenge, jealousy, chaos, lust, and all the good stuff occurs. I haven't actually finished watching Business Proposal anyways so idk how to end this.

The BLU spy notices that RED sniper is not around so he disguises himself as Sniper.

When Scout notices, he broke.

All that grief, guilt, sadness and anger unleashed.

He lashed out at the spy and hits him with his bat...

RED spy witnessed the scene and walks over to scout.

"Scout, stop it! He's dead! You killed him already!"

"We are supposed to kill him, we're mercenaries. He'll respawn back and fight us again."

Scout just has a blank expression on his face, his eyes dull.

Sniper is gone. And Scout accepts that.

Hi there, and thank you so much!

That's such a great and difficult question! I can't really explain what draws me to a pairing, such as Sniper/Scout, which I assume is what you have read :D, but my fanfics are always based around a couple as I am a sappy romantic.

Most of my TF2 fanfiction ideas have come to me either in the shower or on walks, when I can actually shut my mind off and just play out dialogue scenes in my head. All of my ideas for Speeding Bullet fanfics have to fit my idea of the dynamic between the couple (and that's a whole other post right there). I've noticed other writers portray their relationship as more casual, incredibly random, very sappy, or actually unhealthy and abusive. I am forever fighting not to make my Speeding Bullet stuff too sappy and to not make Scout into a 'weak' character just because I see him as a bottom ;)

'Marry You' was actually slightly inspired by a Bridgerton fanfiction where the main couple elopes to avoid the female lead being forced into an unwanted marriage. Of course, the flavour was very different because it is a period romance, but I found the main concept of a rushed marriage between two characters who want each other but won't spit it out really hot :p

'Not Your Typical Fairytale' came to me on a hike in the fall, before I had even finished 'Marry You'. The moment it all came together was beautiful :) I had read a really cute YA novel 'Goose Chase' about a young girl who escaped a tower she had been put in by two princes who both wanted to marry her, and then went on an adventure through her fantasy world while being pursued by them. I saw the potential, and then got to thinking how I could make a Sniper/Scout story with Scout being the one in the tower and escaping/running from Sniper and the other mercs. I had to find a good reason for Sniper to want him, he's not the kind of man to just get obsessed with a random guy for no reason and then chase him across the kingdom. I can't say more because spoilers.

'Run Rabbit Run' was literally just 'Sniper chasing Scout go BRRRRRR'

I will say that smut does play a part in my writing; these are usually the scenes I think about first, and the ones I enjoy writing most. Loving moments and jealous/light possessiveness come in a close second and third though. At the end of the day, I write what I want to see and what I feel is missing in this beautiful fandom, and pray that my fans like it <3

If you were asking what my motivation/inspiration is to actually sit down and write, it is kind of an escape, ngl. I have also found this community to be the only place I can really talk about TF2 and how frighteningly obsessed I am with two fictional men whom I would not like to meet in real life, haha. I definitely get some validation from people enjoying my work, and I am absolutely a much better fictional writer for all my practice as well. (I also just find Speeding Bullet hot and like reading/writing about it ;))

Do sniper and scout have a kid and name it Kiki? This has been bugging me ever since I finished reading the Run Rabbit Run fanfic you wrote (which is one of my favorites btw!!)

Thanks for asking, and I'm so glad you enjoyed 'Run Rabbit Run', especially since it was my first SniperScout fic! As for their kids, I've always imagined them having a boy and a girl, the girl is the older sibling and the boy is the younger. I never really came up with a good name for their son (Noah, maybe?), but their daughter is always either Kiki or Abigail (Abi for short, or whatever nicknames Scout comes up with). Their daughter takes after Scout in temperament-she's loud, bold, speaks her mind, and likes baseball just as much as he does. But she's a total Daddy's girl and has Sniper wrapped around her finger. (I also envision her with darker hair like him.) Their son is more reserved like Sniper, and is even a little timid when he's younger, but he's very smart and tries to keep his big sister from running head long into things without thinking it through. He's basically Scout's shadow when he's little and likes to hide behind his legs when meeting new people, especially the overwhelming and overprotective mercenaries. Scout likes feeling needed, and since his daughter insists on being independent, he's a bit closer with his son, similar to the relationship he had with his mom.

I guess it depends on which fic you count as canon, although if you haven't noticed, I do have an Easter Egg Kiki appearance in all of my fics ;)
