“Star-crossed Lovers” Synastry

Out of all of the type of connections I could go on for days talking about, there’s definitely one that stands out not like a sore thumb, but a black hole that sits somewhere in my subconscious. And of course, it is nodal synastry.

Someone’s nodes making contacts with our Sun, Moon, ASC/DS, and/or Venus are the chaotic connections that lead our internal worlds into a deep journey forward or backwards. None of them promises longevity, but they do leave an imprint in our deepest hidden parts.

The one I’ll be discussing today in great detail is Ketu-Moon synastry.

To understand the way each person plunges into their own personal karmic/fated experience, we must understand first the side of the moon that is the most complex in its nature, Ketu.

This shadow aspect is depicted as headless, meaning, those with heavy influence of this node have to “lose” their heads before experiencing full awareness. It is also important to mention that Ketu in Vedic is the co-ruler of Scorpio, aside from Mars which is the traditional ruler.

Ketu is mentioned to be a flag 🚩 or a mark that’s left. A point of where it all begins, and no one knows where it continues (Rahu). It marks the beginning of an ending. A movie of two lovers that is constantly on roll, as if showing a contrast of both worlds regardless of how far apart they position themselves from each other.

Ketu individuals carry a heavy presence that is somewhat magnetic, peculiar, exotic, difficult to pinpoint, or ignore. As if they have seen too much and are tormented by it. A touch of melancholy that seems to permeate their eyes.

In synastry, the Moon person is transported into an experience that could remind them of a not so distant past, or something that is felt in your bones but you have no way of explaining it. They feel the presence of Ketu as a void that holds answers of something deep and meaningful. They feel within reach, yet at the same time eons apart. It is common for both to feel very comfortable and familiar to each other upon their first encounter. And it’s precisely this comfortable steps that lead them further into the connection than initially considered.

The Ketu person sees the Moon as if while walking in a dark street for quite some time, suddenly, a single lamppost turns on. Their curiosity draws them in like a moth to the flame. They can't help but follow the source of light. They feel warm, comfortable, and nurtured. The Moon awakens in them a feeling of safety and peace that they hadn’t quite understood on their own. Ketu sees the Moon person as a way of understanding the aspects of themselves that are brough into the light. All of these feelings and physical reactions to being around the Moon could lead them to experiencing anxiety in a way or viceversa. They are not sure how to keep the things that they’ve thrown under the carpet hidden when together. Old wounds resurface on both sides easily, but for different reasons.

Ketu sees parts of itself in the light of the Moon, while the other, sees the vast shadows it casts.

The one thing that is promised in nodal connections is a lesson of who you are, and facing the darker aspects that someone else mirrors back to you. Ketu pulls the Moon towards underneath the vast darkness, the places where her light cannot reach. It makes the Moon revisit emotional situations from the past that must be resolved or purified since that’s one of the “burning” effects this connection can often leave. A mark is also very much like a burn that has healed, yet the scar remains. It represents a flag of that time you got a tad too close to the flame.

Ketu on the other hand, learns to accept their shadow self thanks to the moonlight. Through the remembrance of who they really are they can resolve past life wounds, specially the emotional and mental ones. Ketu regains parts of itself that were forgotten. Ketu understands that even in a full moon eclipse, there’s always a faint light that surrounds the darkness, a promise of what lays on the other side. They feel indebted to the Moon for gaining a deeper insight of themselves at the cost of overshadowing or swallowing their light at some point.

This can be a very meaningful spiritual experience because its merging past, present, and future all at once in a chaotic journey of self discovery.

Synastry Observations: Frenemy/"enemy" edition part 1

DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional astrologer, this purely my observation based on repetitive patterns I notice within the signs, placements, houses etc. Take what I say with a grain of salt and understand not every astrology observation will resonate.

↳Heavy 8th House Synastry and/or negatively aspected 2H synastry↴

This one is a doosey. Personally, I never had 8H synastry with anyone that I have ever considered a friend, but I have seen this play out with other friendships. This synastry can suggest an imbalance of give and take, as well as a friendship that can be "obsessive". Feelings of jealousy, envy, and even resentment build over time. I've seen this also manifest as jealousy over the person's other friends, family, and sometimes even romantic partners. Very karmic & a difficult bond to break, but it could also be very emotionally harmful. It also highly depends on the emotional state of the people involved, especially the emotional state of the house person as they seem to be the most "reactive" in this situation.

↳Sun/Moon/Mercury/Venus in 12H↴

These placements can definitely indicate secrecy created in a friendship dynamic. Either the friendship itself is kept secret, or one/both parties feel suspicious of the other, no matter how much time has passed or trust has been earned. Another heavily karmic synastry aspect to have. Usually the planet person is more aware of the pain each other causes, but the house person also feels the intensity. A lot can be ruined due to misunderstandings with this placement, but in the same regard -- this placement does also indicate two people who are magnetically connected, but eventually have their perception of each other morphed over time into something more negative. Truth be told, both parties see each other in a more "tainted" and deluded way as time goes on because both parties are secretive about their suspicions. Suspicion left undiscussed only has room to grow. Not always the case, but when this manifests in an "ex-friendship" or in a synastry chart of frenemies, its easier to see the ways either one or both have deceived each other in a connection. I've also noticed specifically with Moon/Mercury (sometimes venus) in 12H synastry shows how one person "prys" in the other's life. For example, having Mercury in 12H synastry could mean that one person oversteps and over-inquires about the other. Maybe this person listens to, inspires, encourages, or spreads misinformation about the other. Or, this person generally feels "superior" in the themes of mercury like communication, travel, intelligence, logic, etc. It also gives "pick me" vibes, or like those female friends you have that enjoy laughing at you or embarrassing you around others for validation. Icky.

↳Chiron conjunct personal planets and/or the nodes↴

These aspects are the definition of fated to me. When this is present in the chart of two frenemies, I know these two really hurt each other in various ways. When its chiron conjunct sun/moon for instance, I see a lot of damage to the ego, and self-confidence when dealing with each other. One person feels massively insecure in the presence of the other, and in enemy cases, its almost as if one person (usually chiron person) clings onto sun person even if chiron person harbors hate, bitterness, or resentment towards the sun person. Chiron conjunct personal planets can bring a lot of instability on so many levels -- on a soul level, physical / material level, emotional level, 3D, 5D etc etc. These connections are usually very painful because at one point in time, these two individuals could have been very close or trusted each other, and things took a left turn when both began to trigger each other. I've also seen this in complicated friendships where the two are not exactly true friends, or honest/genuine friends to each other, but there's a weird sense of loyalty toward one another. Maybe you two are in secret competition, and you feel the other person does not like you. Typically you would end communication with someone like this, but with this person, you find excuses for them and reasons to remain in their energy. kinda odd tbh. Chiron conjunct the nodes says all the same but speaks more so to the soul missions of the individuals. This could mean you both agreed to be here to have problems and to learn lessons together lol. But with chiron conjunct NN/SN, the connection will feel very electric but will most likely fizzle out over time.

↳Busy 3H synastry / lilth 3H / Chiron 3H / Pluto 3H / Neptune 3H↴

Ugh, the gossip. The lies. The bullying. the fakeness. This synastry is like toxic sibling rivalry except they're supposed to your friend. When you have this synastry with a frenemy, you will experience a lot of bs from them and vice versa. These placements also suggest heavy gossip about each other and usually what's being talked about involves the rough stuff. I am talking, the stuff you told this person with confidence that they'd never tell a soul. These people can hit below the belt when they're scorned. I've seen these enemies being very direct towards each other as well, so not only is there open gossip involved, this person will also own up to it! They're the type to be like "yeah b!tcH! I said that. Do you want me to repeat myself??" very confrontational, which could also lead to yelling matches or serious mutual moments of rage. Lilith in 3H is roughest when it comes to exposing the other person's darkness when scorned. When you have this aspect with someone, you should probably be cautious of what you tell them because you might think they forgot, but really, they just stored it in the back of their mind to use for later. Pluto 3H will force one or both people to evolve in terms of how they communicate -- harsh lessons about communication, connection, community, and even relationships with others come from this aspect. Chiron in 3H (and even Neptune 3H) will really put you through the ringer. You will have to go through hardships that can constantly trigger your communication and intelligence wound with this person. One last thing I have noticed is that these people were (or still are to a weird degree) typically close to the point where their families are very intertwined with one another. This can manifest as one or both of them getting each other's families (specifically cousins and siblings) involved with their drama, or "picking sides".

🦇 Lilith in Capricorn wants position & status and can be shamed for demanding the same respect and position as men. Example: Hillary Clinton & Kamala Harris both have this placement. Women are often expected to seek status by being a wife so women with this placement can awake a ”Wtf she think she doing?” reaction in men.

🦇 While Lilith most times shows a strong interest, fascination or even obsession with the sign or house its in or with the themes of the planet it aspects it can also show complete rejection of it & not wanting anything to do with it.

🦇 I dont know why but I never felt the need to be bitchy towards men who have their Lilith on my Moon. I get a ”you are not like other men” feeling with this aspect. They dont trigger my fight or flight response. Something very unique with this synastry aspect.

🦇 A lot of Moon conjunct Lilith people physically resemble the Moon in some way physically. Ive seen a lot of them have Moon shaped eyes or a round face & very rounded features, sometimes super shiny hair.

🦇 Lilith in the 11th house might be fixated with the ”in crowd”. Might hate them but at the same time watch them. Its giving Janis Ian from Mean Girls. They often have a past friendship with someone from the in crowd.

🦇 Lilith can show what you hate in society and feel a strong need to rebel against. Lilith 2nd house might rebel against stuff being done to their body(like vaccines),having to pay taxes, might shoplift and refuse to pay for things that are not their fault they need. Like tampoons for example.

🦇 Ive also noticed with Lilith 7th house people want to find something wrong with your partner or even convince themselves they dont love you. People might say stuff like ”He is only with you bc you have money” or something. Its like people are bothered by seeing you be loved.

🦇 Madonna is a good example of a 7th house Lilith. She is often shamed for liking younger men while its considered normal for men to be with younger women.

🦇 Lilith in Libra and the constant triangle drama??? Triangledrama EVERYWHERE. Why does every guy you meet seem to have a crazy ex or a female friend trying to get him? Or a coworker who wants him? Or a mother who competes with you?

🦇 If you have Sun conjunct Lilith you might represent what your dad dislikes about himself. You represent a part of him that he wants to keep buried deep inside himself and being close to you might remind him too much of this. This can make him your first bully.

🦇 Lilith in the 8th house needs to understand that some things cant be controlled/hold onto. They often experienced situations in their youth where they were powerless.

🦇 Lilith in Virgo can be gossips because of their strong need to criticize. They need to say whats wrong with stuff. This can results in some verbal attacks and some very strong opinions on people.

🦇 LILITH CONJUNCT VENUS IN SYNASTRY: can mean Lilith shouldnt be attracted to Venus. Venus might not even be their type but Lilith will find them beautiful anyways. This can be very confusing for the Lilith person because Venus represent everything they shouldnt like or arent allowed to like. Lilith might be from a rich family and Venus is from a poor family for example. Can also be an age difference especially where the woman is older and the guy younger so its considered taboo. This one will be painful if Venus is in love with Lilith because Lilith often see Venus as someone socially unacceptable in some way. AQUARIUS AND SCORPIO

Very few astrologers say it, but having a lot of Aquarius energy can be just as intense as having a lot of Scorpio placements. Aquarius, although it is a humanitarian and socializing sign, is also a sign of sudden cuts and changes, of rarity that even reaches madness and nervous illnesses. For example, a poorly aspected Uranus in the birth chart can indicate a lot of nervous tension. For example, I think that the movie about the butterfly effect is a movie that expresses that type of Aquarian intensity very well (in fact the leading actor, Ashton Kutcher, is an Aquarius). Likewise, I know an Aquarius friend who says she has seen ghosts since she was a child, and I have another Aquarius friend who has had to deal with very intense nervous emotions.

Likewise, in Vedic astrology, the month of Aquarius is an ideal month to carry out detoxifications. In fact it is said that the symbol of Aquarius in India is not a man with a jar of water, but a man with a jar of poison, which he is expelling to purify himself. In that sense it can be very similar to the Scorpio/Plutonian.

Let's look at some similarities and differences between Scorpion and Aquarian intensity. Both Aquarius and Scorpio have certain similarities: both are fixed signs, and both have two rulers. The ancients (Mars and Saturn) are both malefic and their modern rulers (Pluto and Uranus) are both transpersonal. Likewise, both signs are curious, revolutionary, vigilante, they are interested in investigating mysteries, they like strange things, unique music, suspense stories, conspiracies, etc.

What is the difference? Speaking at the archetype level, Scorpio likes to discover what people are hiding (secrets, fears, taboos). In that sense, Scorpio likes to discover liars, he likes red-handed things, and he likes to blame. While Aquarius likes to discover the hidden itself, but not because someone hid it, but because it has not yet been discovered or classified by anyone, then Aquarius likes the Eureka.

scorpio and aquarius are both signs that are attractive in mysterious ways. both fixed and both known for their depth, their approaches and affects are much different. this may also apply to PLUTO, SATURN, URANUS and MARTIAN NATIVES & SCORPIO or AQUARIUS VENUS/MOON/MARS or any significant aspects regarding these planets under the sign.

⋆ the pitfall of scorpios seduction is that while their mystery can be attractive, they bleed onto their potentials in a true act of authenticity but reserve a lot to themselves still. scorpion natives strive to create mystery to protect themselves from future trauma, but are ultimately unabashed in their feelings.

⋆ the authority of saturn and the authority of pluto are intimidating in the way that they are final, uncontrollable and just in nature. the authority of mars and uranus are intimidating in the way they are chaotic and often unreadable.

⋆ these natives can be seen as possible more comfortable with themselves than their scorpion counterpart, but they are both comfortable with their truths enough to display it but reserve a lot for themselves. 'i want you, but i do not need you' kind of energy that is often irresistible, if cultivated properly.

⋆ there is an outward care for the tangible and intangible, the material and the spiritual. aquarius educates on the metaphysical, the value of the mysterious, the value of the soul. it's their perceived authority that catches the eyes of their prospects.

⋆ the pitfalls of aquarius' seduction will always be that they are concerned with their best interest first. they are well aware of their gifts. this and saturn makes them more likely to see through oncoming foolery and put themselves first if need be (rightfully so). this may also pull potentials out of the dreaminess that accompanies the attention of the aquarius native.

🩷 Venus 7h overlay/ conjunct dsc: This overlay is beautiful. Venus feels at home here. The 7h person can feel like they have found their partner whether they are actually right or not is up to fate. 1.If you have sun conjunct ascendant//sun in 10th house, people might really see who you really are or your real personality maybe visible to people you choose to interact with.

2. People who's sun and mercury match, they more than most of the time, say what they really mean

3. People who have Sag sun/stellium usually have a strong liking for some kind of mainstream media, like kpop? football? bollywood?

4. The sign of your fifth house can influence how you like spending your leisure time. Example:

Capricorn 5th house might like cleaning as a form of relaxing or spending their free time

Leo 5th house might want entertainment or hanging out with a group of friends, social circles

Gemini 5th house might like scrolling the internet or talking about their favourite shows and dramas

Pisces 5th house might like day dreaming or doodling or creative working

Libra 5th house might put make up on just because, or doing a whole self care routine

Taurus 5th house might just lay in bed and sleep? lol maybe cook something or play some instrument if they please.

13. Sag mercury women usually are very vocal. May advocate for things like unequal rights, feminism, maybe the first one to speak. tbh sag mercuries overall are the types to take part in global challenges and really take time out to think about it seriously.

14. Sun in 8th house is a mysterious placement. Sun in 8th house won't reveal themselves to you. To be fairly honest, growing up their personality goes through a lot of transformation before they finally get to even know themselves and who they are. They could also be very introspective if not self aware

15. while Moon in 8th house natives are usually said that they won't reveal their true emotions, I'd say that's subjective since they are actually "aware" of their feelings on a deep level. This depends on the sign and degree of the moon imo. However, they may instead absolutely illusion you into thinking "you know everything about them" lol. Also, they could eventually get very emotionally intelligent in their lives with time. They may also never fully reveal their past to someone.

16. Moon in 8th house can have two moods. I know this will happen. See this happened. OR I know EXACTLY why this did not happen lol. Very intuitive.

17. Moon in Gemini degrees can indicate being able to verbalize and intellectualize emotions better than most people. While Moon in Aquarius or Capricorn may suggest otherwise.

18. Idk how but most Aquarius people I have seen have either of these two things. Being extremely different than most people (in a good or bad way) in some way or the other, a different thinking than most. OR, being really really good with Internet related stuff, like maybe freelance? Digital Media? Social Media?

19. Venus/Sun/Moon in virgos will get you the small thing you mentioned in a random seemingly unimportant conversation for your birthday gift.

20. A placement that makes me think of "attractive personality" is Venus in harmonious aspects with mercury.

21. Mars in 5th house/1st house are said to be automatically physically active or athletic. While this maybe true, mars or any other planet at a weak degree or Mars in Earth signs may not manifest that way, even though it may seem otherwise.

22. I think mercury in 11th house is an OG placement for over thinkers or the people who are thinking how would it feel to get married while riding the car/train and looking outside, or being constantly in their head the second they woke up.

23. " I am so stupid in love"- Pisces, Cancer placements.

24. Neptune in 3rd/11th house placements could have a social media or chronically online addiction.

25. Sun at 1 degree in SR can indicate getting a sense of identity and purpose and moreover finding yourself again

26. Uranus in 12th house in SR can indicate a change/transformation in old belief systems and thoughts
