Shikamaru didn't even go with them. It was sai,kiba,akamaru and Lee. So how can Shikamaru force her if he didn't go with her to make sure she went through with it. Kakashi had to go and save her, if he didn't she would have died(I'm sure a lot of people were waiting for that). Don't drag Kakashi down because you want to make Sakura seem more tolerable.

Ahh yes the true feelings that he had for Sakura that made him tie Sasuke up and transform into him,almost receive a kiss from her,deceive Sakura into believing he was Sasuke and getting her to open up to him when at the time she clearly didn't see him as a friend or a comrade and also made him come up with the idea that to make Sasuke look bad in front of her. Feelings that never inspired anything positive should not be considered true or even real.

Sai was emotionally stunted until the end,he himself even admitted that he was wrong in his assumptions about Naruto trying to save Sasuke mainly for Sakura.

Kishimoto can do what he wants with his work(as long as he wasn't being forced). Even if in Boruto he decides to make Naruto and Sakura a couple, he can do so cause it is his work.

This is a twelve year old Naruto concerned with winning the chunnin exams and becoming Hokage for show. He doesn't know what it really means to be Hokage and obviously doesn't understand the responsibilities he would have to shoulder. Which is why he daydreams that Hiruzen would let him be Hokage at such a young age.

You think Naruto went through the 4th great ninja war,losing Neji and other comrades,saving everyone time and time again because he wanted to be Hokage was because he wanted fanfare and celebration? The IT would have been a better choice as nobody would be dead.

Naruto cared more about protecting his village than the ceremony. Naruto was more passionate about his duties than the fanfare and praise.
