OKAY okay so my dad gets me the laptop, after he has already bought it he tells me that if i don’t get all my school work done it is going to be taken away from me forever, because i was struggling with my last quarter of school due to covid making us suddenly change to online schooling without any of my teachers having a solid grasp on it either, I STILL GOT ALL A’S IN MY CLASSES BTW my parents just freaked the fuck out about me being behind and threatened to sell a bunch of my stuff if i didn’t get caught up

I didn’t even tell my dad which laptop i wanted, he just bought one he assumed i would like. And I do like it, I was looking at this laptop, but it was really expensive, so I would never ask him to buy it because of how expensive it was. I was looking at cheaper alternatives. But he bought this one without asking me.

The whole reason this is the thing I need to be able to do is because of how expensive it was. Which was completely his decision on his own without any of my say.

I never even really asked for a new laptop tecnically, I just complained about how bad mine was and he was like “i’ll get you a new one” so again, something that was HIS DECISION

i’m not allowed to even keep my old laptop, which means that if i miss even ONE SINGLE FUCKING ASSIGNMENT this new laptop will be taken and i’m not getting a new one????

like there is SO MUCH i can unpack about all that, like how the school quarter hasn’t even started yet and he’s already threatening to take things because he has that little faith in me being able to get my schoolwork done. The fact that a lot of my issues come from my ADHD which is something my parents refuse to get me help and resources for.

AND AND there are things i have bought with MY OWN MONEY. NOT money my parents gave me for christmas or my birthday!! money I made myself that i used to buy things that can only be used on a computer for which adds to how much this stings

Clouds Watching pt. 1

“Miss Kay, you were a guest at Gingko Lodge at Lady Serena’s invitation, correct?”

“Yes,” she shifted in her seat slightly. “I had recently... come into personal troubles and Serena suggested I accompany her to her Granduncle’s Birthday celebration for a change of scenery. We were to stay for 2 weeks to see and mingle with her family, then head down to Bereshire together.”

“I see. Have you ever been to Gingko Lodge before?” the man asked. It was hard to look at his face as he examined her, because looking up at him would mean looking up at the people in the courtroom, their gazes piercing.

“No. Well, yes tecnically. Serena and I stayed the night before when we were passing by and our car broke down. But I don’t know if I can count that as a real visit. I hadn’t met Lord Tenison at the time, as he had already gone to bed and Serena wanted to leave before he woke up the next morning.”

“I suppose it’s because Lady Serena and Lord Tenison were not on the best of terms?”

“No,” Christine shifted in her seat again, and glanced down at her hands, “they did not.”
