Forbidden Odd Melody - By 마셰리 (ma cherie) (6/10)
Our love is forbidden because we have different animal ears! The plot here isn't very deep, and it features a couple of tropes that I hate. It takes place in a more wild environment. It's a decent break from the office and/or ballroom.
Sohwa is a white fox woman who was abandoned because she is albino. She is not well liked, but her "son" thinks she's the best!
She's very pretty but she doesn't see that because she was born different.
Her son is named Dohwi, and he's the love interest. I KNOW THEY AREN'T RELATED BUT I DON'T LIKE THIS TROPE. She clearly doesn't see him as a man in the beginning too.
Dohwi is the only tiger in the world, born through reincarnation. He's also a natural born loner, and he wants to have a family with Sohwa.
Usually different species can't procreate. He is literally going to fetch a magic talisman to make it possible.
Dohwi is scary. Sohwa admits it several times. She runs away from him. She turns into a fox to avoid his romantic advances. He clearly is yandere, but he's very inconsiderate and he ignores her feelings.
He also literally puts her in a cage.
Zero guilt.
Evil yanderes aren't bad. They can be fun, but I don't think the plot will be anything special. It's not good enough to make me ignore the "son" thing. Also both lead characters don't develop. Dohwi is crazy in love from chapter one, which makes the story feel shallow.
Cages. Red backgrounds. Evil smirks. Cages. Decent art. 7/10 grocery store factory produced yandere.
