TTPD The Anthology Summary Part 1 *IMO*

I think the cutest thing about Hisako’s artwork (besides post-canon Sessrin family goodness!) is how accurately it depicts how the family dynamic would work 😭😭😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Look at the seriousness in which Sess watches Rin doing something as simple as peeling oranges😅 she is literally doing the most Normal and Domestic thing possible but as far as Sess is concerned it is of the OUTMOST IMPORTANCE™️ and thus requires every fiber of his attention and involvement - if this is an important human tradition to Rin, he’s going to be So Intense about it

Meanwhile look at how Rin is blushing!!! Yes she entirely aware that Sess is being 100% more enraptured than he probably should be that finds it adorable! Classic Sess behavior as far as she’s concerned. And her smile shows that she is simply THRILLED to finally be doing family activities with everyone she loves 😭😭 can you imagine??? I know Omega is frustrated here and people may bash her for being 'whiny' but I honestly appreciate the writers letting us see her in a more child-like frustration.

I honestly love that Ventress has seen both the light and dark side of the force and now has come into her own. She's almost looked relieved that she was able to call the creatures to her, kind of like an "I'm still worthy moment."

Okay my theory about the kraken, Ventress called it's food source, so it followed, but then it got curious about their boat. It wasn't trying to attack them, it was bumping their boat because it was trying to figure out what they were. Then Ventress cut off a tentacle (yes to rescue Omega, but I think the creature was just exploring) That spooked it, then the Marauder swings in and starts shooting at it. When the Marauder flies off, a tentacle kind of flicks in a 'yeah get out of here' kind of way. It doesn't immediately eat Ventress when it has her (does it even eat humans?), it brings her close to it's face to investigate and she takes her time channeling the Force. The animators specifically focus on the creature's eyes and the changes in it (pupils dilating). To me, it seemed like Ventress was communicating with it like "I'm sorry we startled you, we mean you no harm." Then the creature sets Ventress down so gently (it doesn't drop her) and goes on it's merry way.

Crosshair is the one on the ramp to get Omega!!!

Ahh! he reaches out to help Ventress too. He offered her his hand and she took it!! 🥰

I'm surprised we didn't get a comment from Ventress about Batcher.

Wrecker being the big brother we all need and taking Omega off to eat after a long day just makes my heart so warm.

The way Hunter and Crosshair are both standing with a hip popped is killing me. (again, sorry for bad quality) 😂

Ventress is so smart and she sees how much the Batch cares about Omega, hence why she lied. AND Hunter and Crosshair know Ventress is right that if they acknowledge Omega is Force-sensitive, that means she goes away and they're not ready for that.

Her warning is so foreboding... (A Harbringer?) Next week is a double feature and I think that's when we'll get the Empire over Pabu.

Crosshair is so attentive to Ventress, I'm already shipping them (don't get me wrong, I'd fight Ventress for Crosshair, but they seem like they'd be a good match in-universe)

AHHH!!! This episode was so good. We got to see our boys fighting again as a unit. We got to see Ventress (which, during clone wars she was always just a 'mech' character for me. Didn't love her, didn't hate her, but this episode solidified her on my favs list. Her line of "We were pawned in the same war and we all lost." Just DAMN she hit the nail on the head and I don't even know she knows she did. If you made it through this entire post, scrolling back I didn't realize how insanely long it is, thank you!! 💕

📢 Fic Rec Friday (for Thrawn Fans)

I just finished reading the Belonging series, and *ahem* please let me (woefully) attempt to capture just how much this story has affected me. I am DESTROYED ☠️ Completely flayed raw 😫 Absolutely STARSTRUCK ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 It’s so amazing that I literally cannot contain my urge to shout about how spectacular it is into the void.

“Belonging” is a Thrawn x Eli Vanto found family saga (with kids!!!!!) that spans everything from domestic fluff to military drama to kidnapping and rescue. The plot of each individual story is always excellent, but the ✨CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT✨ is actually out of this world. It’s so insanely good and natural and heart-wrenchingly poignant that I found myself relating to multiple characters in every single fic. Were tears shed? Yes. Unlimited tears.

UGH 😩 part 8 Granular literally felt like a stab into my chest with a knife that kept twisting and twisting after. But worry not, I could never recommend something that didn’t make me smile, and the rest of the series is the textbook definition of pure happiness 🥰 Like part 14, If You Asked Her??? Are you kidding me??? So beautiful! And of course, part 1 Home! Sweet and cute with a twinge of angst. How can you go wrong with tags like ‘enemies to father daughter’ and captions like ‘Thunhe adopts a dad (Thrawn)’?

The answer is: you can’t go wrong 👏🏼

Belonging is as much a coming of age story as it is a romance, and the vibes (excluding the aforementioned part 8) are impeccably warm and fuzzy, like a hug from your favorite person. Everyone, please do not walk or even run to go read this, sprint.

For those who want to skip my personal ramblings: my absolute top top top favorites [one] [two] [three] [four]

I didn't even mean to search for Cherik fics at the time as I don't even ship them. The ship was huge so I had always knew of them and enjoyed watching people going crazy over them for more than a decade but I didn't get deep into the fandom or anything. Until that very fateful night. I was knee deep in Grindeldore feels for unknown reasons (still am, btw) and got a huge urge to read Dumbledore using legilimency to soothe his crying daughter. Being not the top ship as Grindeldore was, there simply wasn't any fic that fit the criteria. And what did I do? Searched the Cherik tag, obviously. It was just a logical shortcut: what telepath with kids wouldn't do that? Stayed up until 2am to finish the entire thing and the rest was history. The idea of Cherik with wee!Jean had taken root like the most normal thing on Earth.

Pre-DOFP so Erik is characterized as only borderline-abusive instead of, you know, full blown, Charles-need-to-file-a-restraining-order-against-his-ex-who-is-incapable-of-being-anything-but-angry kind of abusiveness.

Whatever you incarnates into in the next life, in one way or another, you would find a way to be back together again and again. This prompt reflects that idea really well. Of billions others on Earth, once again, Charles is chosen. He is forgiven. He gets a chance at redemption, to be a father again. It is just indescribably beautiful to me.

This fic purifies my heart and ascends me. It's like I'm wrapped around by warm comfort and soothing lullabies. You know how in First Class Charles tells Erik "There is good, too. I felt it." That is the Erik in this fic, the characterization that is grossly overlooked, I dare say. And the author predicts who he could be in Apocalypse in 2011 as well. 👏🏼
