We're covering self-defense in my criminal law class and I will soon have a legal analysis of Magnus v. Nathan coming up

#my prediction: magnus could raise a case but it would not survive trial #if i were magnus' lawyer i'd try to get him to settle out of court because there's no way he'd survive in front of a jury #if i were nathan's lawyer i'd be like 'lol ur good' #but it depends if the court considers magnus' blindness as serious bodily injury #if so nathan would have a sliiiightly harder time meeting one of the required elements for deadly force defense #this is actually an interesting to me bc the case contains both of the limitations of self defense we covered #but from each side (magnus being the aggressor and nathan continuing to attack) #but yeah it's nathan's case to win

I just watched John Oliver's video on abortion rights and it was nice to see that my favorite game of "let's see how long it takes for 'pro-life' people to admit they hate women" is still relevant.

It only took a couple of comments for anti-choicers to devolve into "women need to keep their legs shut." Absolutely no blame directed towards men who impregnate women because as we all know pregnancy only requires one person. Also, it was awesome seeing people defend the fact that anti-choicers don't support social welfare policies because "why should we have to pay for the consequences of you opening your legs?"

Man can run at possibly mach speeds though that may just be an exaggeration and can keep running indefinitely, can survive ramming headfirst into a wall at said speed and possibly not even do lasting damage to himself, can run up walls, is able to pummel someone up into the sky, can survive hitting the top of the tower at terminal velocity, and do whatever the frick that superjump is

And sure, we can say the tower did it, but we still see him running frickoff fast in the intro cutscene before he even gets to the tower, and continues with the ascending pizza pummel even long after leaving proximity of the tower, so something ain’t adding up

So like, yeah, to reiterate, cartoon/game physic copout explanation, the tower greatly exaggerates already present skills, or peppino truly is built different my vote is one of the latter two

not to sound dramatic or anything but magic is real and I know its real because I swore a contract w the spiders in my room about a year ago to never purposefully harm them or let them come to harm so long as they ate all the other bugs in my room and now anytime someone purposefully kills a spider near me I am momentarily possessed and have to literally restrain myself from tackling the person who did it
