open: to all!
Cassius pinches the bridge of his nose as he stares down at the article that's been left on his desk. By whom exactly? Well, they've failed to mention that. This is one of the downsides of working in the same building as his former job as an editor; he gets called upon for plenty of favors.
The vitriol that sits in front of him is the perfect example of why he's moved onto his current vocation. The assertions made are so mind numbingly dull and Cassius considers throwing it right out the window. He also remembers that his former job didn’t have enough blood for him. No bite.
Still, like Atlas he heaves a heavy sigh at the burden and decides to shoulder it anyway. He pats around his desk for his red pen. It's a slow day so far, Camille is out collecting a witness statement, so he might as well spending it editing -
-Oh goddammit, why was it impossible to find a pen in this office exactly when he needs one? What is Camille doing with the millions he'd bought? Eating them?
Cassius barely glances up at whomever enters the office of Vasile & Vasile, too busy with his search. He knows there's not one in any of his desk drawers. He knows exactly where everything is, everything has its place in his office and everything is present - except for, apparently, a red pen.
"Is this yours?" He says to the person in the doorway, waving down at the unmarked article in question. "Because I have to say the levels of incompetence expressed here are... staggering."
There’s, of course, always the chance that they're here for the actual business. This is the a private investigation firm, despite the stack of papers that's been so graciously dumped on his desk, and Camille and Cassius do have their fair share of clients and their roster is ever growing. But Cassius will let them divulge that information for themselves.

Camille was at the airport an hour before Cassius was even scheduled to land. Sitting patiently in one of the airport benches near the luggage claim. The international arrivals were locked in her radar. It felt like half of her person had been MIA for more than a month. No matter how often they corresponded while he was overseas. Nothing amounted to having her twin brother by her side. He after all was Camille’s voice in many aspects.
She had made some mistakes while he was out. Unable to poach the empathy her brother felt around the others, and instead following blind leads with the suspect’s face value. It was difficult, but she was able to keep the business afloat. The media outlet she had left to her siblings and ran from it as fast as she could.
Her father had stopped trying to correspond with her, and mostly just barked orders for her to follow like a little lamb. Everything was as it had been in the Vasile family before Cassius’s departure - they all treated her like she was dead to them. Gorgeous enough to hold the name, but that was only if she kept her mouth shut.
The thoughts are torn from her as she spots her twin and stands from her seat. Heels click against the ground as she ran like her life depended on it towards Cassius. Arms spread apart as she bounced from the ground hopefully to be caught in her brother’s arm. Her fingers rapidly starts to fire off the syllables in the air.
‘You’re home finally!’

Floyd Patterson
Tumblr media
Floyd Patterson (January 4, 1935 – May 11, 2006) was an American professional boxer who competed from 1952 to 1972, and twice reigned as the world heavyweight champion between 1956 and 1962. At the age of 21, he became the youngest boxer in history to win the title, and was also the first heavyweight to regain the title after losing it. As an amateur, he won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
In 1956 and 1960, Patterson was voted Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine and the Boxing Writers Association of America. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1991.
Early life
Born January 4, 1935, into a poor family in Waco, North Carolina, Patterson was the youngest of eleven children.Savanah Joe Patterson was his first cousin from out of Arkansas. He went and visited during the early summer years. He experienced an insular and troubled childhood. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York, where Floyd was a truant and a petty thief. At age 10, he was sent to the Wiltwyck School for Boys, a reform School in upstate New York, which he credited with turning his life around. He stayed there for almost two years. He attended high school in New Paltz, New York where he succeeded in all sports.
Patterson took up boxing at age fourteen, and was training with the Bedford-Stuyvesant Boxing Association Gym. Three years later, he won the gold medal in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics as a middleweight. In 1952, he won the National Amateur Middleweight Championship and New York Golden Gloves Middleweight Championship. At that time he was spotted by Cus D'Amato, and trained at the Gramercy Gym.
Olympic results
Round of 16: Defeated Omar Tebakka (France) on points, 3–0
Quarterfinal: Defeated Leonardus Jansen (Netherlands) by a first-round stoppage
Semifinal: Defeated Stig Sjölin (Sweden) by disqualification in the third round
Defeated Vasile Tiță (Romania) by a first-round knockout
Patterson's amateur record was 40 wins (37 by knockout) and 4 defeats.
Patterson carried his hands higher than most boxers, in front of his face. Sportswriters called Patterson's style a "peek-a-boo" stance.
Early pro career
Patterson turned pro and steadily rose through the ranks, his only early defeat being an eight-round decision to former Light Heavyweight Champion Joey Maxim on June 7, 1954, at the Eastern Parkway Arena in Brooklyn, New York.
Championship
Although Patterson fought around the light heavyweight limit for much of his early career, he and manager Cus D'Amato always had plans to fight for the Heavyweight Championship. In fact, D'Amato made these plans clear as early as 1954, when he told the press that Patterson was aiming for the heavyweight title. However, after Rocky Marciano announced his retirement as World Heavyweight Champion on April 27, 1956, Patterson was ranked by The Ring magazine as the top light heavyweight contender. After Marciano's announcement, Jim Norris of the International Boxing Club stated that Patterson was one of the six fighters who would take part in an elimination tournament to crown Marciano's successor. The Ring then moved Patterson into the heavyweight rankings, at number five.
Patterson vs. Moore
After beating Tommy "Hurricane" Jackson in an elimination fight, Patterson faced Light Heavyweight Champion Archie Moore on November 30, 1956, for the World Heavyweight Championship. He beat Moore by a knockout in five rounds and became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history, at the age of 21 years, 10 months, 3 weeks and 5 days. He was the first Olympic gold medalist to win a professional heavyweight title.
Patterson vs. Johansson I, II & III
After a series of defenses against fringe contenders (Hurricane Jackson, Pete Rademacher, Roy Harris, and Brian London), Patterson met Ingemar Johansson of Sweden, the number one contender, in the first of three fights. Johansson triumphed over Patterson on June 26, 1959, with the referee Ruby Goldstein stopping the fight in the third round after the Swede had knocked Patterson down seven times. Johansson became Sweden's first World Heavyweight Champion, thus becoming a national hero as the first European to defeat an American for the title since 1933.
Patterson knocked out Johansson in the fifth round of their rematch on June 20, 1960, to become the first man in history to regain the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship. Johansson hit the canvas hard, seemingly out before he landed flat on his back. With glazed eyes, blood trickling from his mouth and his left foot quivering, he was counted out. Johansson lay unconscious for five minutes before he was helped onto a stool.
A third fight between them was held on March 13, 1961 and while Johansson put Patterson on the floor, Patterson retained his title by knockout in the sixth round to win the rubber match in which Patterson was decked twice and Johansson, once in the first round. Johansson had landed both right hands over Floyd's left jab. After getting up from the second knockdown, Floyd abandoned his jab and connected with a left hook that knocked down Johansson. After that, Patterson came on with a strong body attack that wore down Johansson. In the 6th round, Johansson caught Patterson with a solid right. But the power in Ingemar's punches was gone. Patterson won the fight in the 6th round by knockout.
Patterson vs. Liston I & II
After the third Johansson fight, Patterson defended the title in Toronto on December 4 against Tom McNeeley and retained the title with a fourth-round knockout. However he did not fight number-one contender Sonny Liston. This was due in part to Cus D'Amato, who did not want Patterson in the ring with a boxer with mob connections. As a result, D'Amato turned down any challenges involving the IBC. Eventually, due to a monetary dispute with Jimmy Jacobs, Patterson removed D'Amato from handling his business affairs and agreed to fight Liston.
Leading up to the fight, Liston was the major betting-line favorite, though Sports Illustrated predicted that Patterson would win in 15 rounds. Jim Braddock, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Rocky Marciano and Ingemar Johansson picked Patterson to win. The fight also carried a number of social implications. Liston's connections with the mob were well known and the NAACP was concerned about having to deal with Liston's visibility as World Champion and had encouraged Patterson not to fight Liston, fearing that a Liston victory would tarnish the civil rights movement. Patterson said John F. Kennedy also did not want him to fight Liston.
Patterson lost his title to Liston in Chicago on September 25, 1962, by a first-round knockout in front of 18,894 fans. The two fighters were a marked contrast. In the ring, Liston's size and power proved too much for Patterson's guile and agility. However, Patterson did not use his speed to his benefit. According to Sports Illustrated writer Gilbert Rogin, Patterson did not punch enough and frequently tried to clinch with Liston. Liston battered Patterson with body shots and then shortened up and connected with two double hooks high on the head. The result at the time was the third-fastest knockout in boxing history. After being knocked out, Patterson left Comiskey Park in Chicago wearing dark glasses and a fake beard for the drive back to New York. After the fight, questions were raised on whether the fight was fixed to set up a more lucrative rematch. Overnight, Patterson seemed to lose his public support as a result of his swift knockout.
The rematch was set for April 1963; however, Liston injured his knee swinging a golf club and the fight was delayed three months to July 22. In Las Vegas that night, Patterson attempted to become the first boxer to win the heavyweight title three times, but Liston once again knocked him out in the first round. Patterson lasted four seconds longer than in the first bout.
Post-title career
Following these defeats, Patterson went through a depression. However, he eventually recovered and began winning fights again, including top victories over Eddie Machen and George Chuvalo; the Chuvalo match won The Ring's "Fight of the Year" award.
Patterson was now the number-one challenger for the title held by Muhammad Ali. On November 22, 1965, in yet another attempt to be the first to win the world heavyweight title three times, Patterson lost by technical knockout at the end of the 12th round, going into the fight with an injured sacro-iliac joint in a bout in which Ali was clearly dominant. Ali called Patterson an "Uncle Tom" for refusing to call him Muhammad Ali (Patterson continued to call him Cassius Clay) and for his outspokenness against black Muslims. Instead of scoring a quick knockout, Ali mocked, humiliated and punished Patterson throughout the fight but was unable to knock him out before the referee finally stopped the fight in the 12th round.
Patterson remained a legitimate contender. In 1966 he traveled to England and knocked out British boxer Henry Cooper in just four rounds at Wembley Stadium.
In September 1969 he divorced his first wife, Sandra Hicks Patterson, who wanted him to quit boxing, while he still had hopes for another title shot.
When Ali was stripped of his title for refusing induction into the military, the World Boxing Association staged an eight-man tournament to determine his successor. Patterson fought Jerry Quarry to a draw in 1967. In a rematch four months later, Patterson lost a controversial 12-round decision to Quarry. Subsequently, in a third and final attempt at winning the title a third time, Patterson lost a controversial 15-round referee's decision to Jimmy Ellis in Sweden, despite breaking Ellis's nose and scoring a disputed knockdown.
Patterson continued on, defeating Oscar Bonavena in a close fight over ten rounds in early 1972.
At age 37, Patterson was stopped after seven rounds with a cut eye while still competitive in a rematch with Muhammad Ali for the NABF heavyweight title on September 20, 1972. The defeat proved to be Patterson's last fight, although there was never an announcement of retirement.
Retired life
In retirement, he and Ingemar Johansson became good friends who flew across the Atlantic to visit each other every year and he served two terms as chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission. He was also inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1991.
Patterson lived in New Paltz, New York for many years. In 1982 and 1983 he ran the Stockholm Marathon together with Ingemar Johansson.
His adopted son, Tracy Harris Patterson, was a world champion boxer in the 1990s and was trained by Floyd during part of his career. They are the first father and son to win world titles in boxing. Floyd also trained Canadian heavyweight Donovan "Razor" Ruddock in 1992 for his fights with Greg Page, Phil Jackson, and Lennox Lewis.
The New Paltz High School football field was named "Floyd Patterson Field" in 1985.
Death
Patterson suffered from Alzheimer's disease and prostate cancer in his final years. He died at home in New Paltz, where he lived for many years with his second wife, Janet Sequist, on May 11, 2006 at the age of 71. His body was buried at New Paltz Rural Cemetery in New Paltz, Ulster County, New York.
Quotes
"It's easy to do anything in victory. It's in defeat that a man reveals himself."
"They said I was the fighter who got knocked down the most, but I also got up the most." (This quote was used in the tenth episode of the 2009 TV series V.)
"When you have millions of dollars, you have millions of friends."
On boxing: "It's like being in love with a woman. She can be unfaithful, she can be mean, she can be cruel, but it doesn't matter. If you love her, you want her, even though she can do you all kinds of harm. It's the same with me and boxing. It can do me all kinds of harm but I love it."

open: to all The Vasile Masquerade
Here is a truth that Cassius has been acutely aware of since always and forever: if someone in his vicinity felt pain, he felt it too. In fact, if someone in his vicinity felt anything, he felt it too. It's his little problem with being too empathetic, like a curse more than anything else (that’s not what his psychologist says - but that’s neither here nor there.) When he was younger it used to overwhelm him, result in fainting spells. Now it just gives him migraine, makes him hate people and crowd and parties.
Speaking of parties -
The event is cute... and Cassius really means that in the worst way possible. Again, he really isn’t one for parties, too many people for his liking, but this one in particular is the family's and so he is here because one day this would all be his. Ugh. It is just so... tawdry with its decorations and its theme and Dexter somewhere amongst the crowd on a date with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
Fucking blow his brains out.
Cassius is in the midst of turning a leaf from one of the centerpieces in between his fingers, (crushing it so that he catches the fresh scent of fall - few things smell more alive) and deciding to the abandon the standing table he's claimed, when a shadow moves across the tablecloth. Cassius head snaps up and he turns to see the source.
"Excuse you. That seat's taken." Cassius speaks up.

OVERVIEW
Oldest of the Vasile children. Part of the Vasile media empire. Has a PHD. Yada, yada, yada -
Cassius finds humanity draining. He’s what some might call a ‘pure empath’ and he’s not in the least bit thrilled about it. He lives for the three following things: a good case (which is, really, just a good puzzle,) his twin ( possibly the only one that silences the frenetic chaos of his mind,) and the latest object of his interest ( one Dexter O’Shea.)  Oh, and here’s one thing we might as well call out too: Cassius is a serial killer posing as an investigative journalist. Considering how much blood flows through the streets of Chicago thanks to the gangs though, that’s not too hard to cover up.
BACKSTORY
Cassius feels more like the prodigal son than a prodigy, but that's what he's called growing up - a prodigy. He's got a mind for science they say. Biology, physics, chemistry and sociology come easily to him.
He’s a good kid growing up. He’s the envy of the other parents for being ‘so quiet and well-behaved.’ A reputation he carries even now.
He’s prone to fainting spells all throughout his childhood. This causes him to stay indoors with his books.
Earning his degrees are a blur. He skates through each academic challenge with boredom.
As the oldest, it is expected he'd take some sort of interest in his parent's media ventures. He does. Sort of. Cassius starts off writing for and then eventually editing one of Vasile Media's peer reviewed publications.
He gets bored.
He moves on to investigative journalism and this manages to hold his attention for a while longer.
One doesn't need an abusive household or  tragic backstory to be sad. Some are born sadder than others.
Cassius is sad, this is a truth. More than that, his time as a investigative journalist reveals a part of him he hasn’t really understood until that point.
Cassius feels the pain of the living deeply. The dead are no different. He’s what they call a pure empath and the feelings of others flow through him, whether he likes it or not. As a private investigator, one who’s witnessed just a few too many deaths up close in this crimson town, he knows how death feels when it slips inside his skin or lurks near him. He’s been born and reborn, he’s died and died again - hundreds of times. The visions he has while investigating crimes scenes cycle through him. Sometimes he dreams through their eyes - gets so close to cases that he remembers lives that aren’t his, mourns loves he’s never felt. Where death ends and he begins he often can’t discern.
He hates it.
Depression runs deep in this one. It flows like a river. He tries to get rid of his own body  more than once.
One winter night he slits his wrists and the blood flows and flows and flows, till it runs rivers down his body, fills the bathtub he’s in like chalice. It should kill him and yet it doesn’t. He’s saved, by his sister. Anyone else and he would have resented them for it forever, maybe even killed them over it. She is different.
She forces him to live and so he makes peace with the idea of life.
They become team of investigative journalists for one of Vasile Media’s publications, but what starts off as a little stint leads to them starting a private investigation firm together.
They don’t do half bad. They get enough cases to call themselves a business, and earn enough enemies to know that they’re doing something right.
One of his cases leads him to Dexter O’Shea. He meets the other in jail and it’s intrigue at first sight. The Hannibal Lector to his own Clarice Starling if you will.
Except in this verse, Clarice Starling is definitely buying what Hannibal Lector is selling. What start off as consulting visits turn a bit more conjugal.
When Dexter is released, Cassius begins tagging along on his night time adventures.
( And finally, finally, amidst the bloodiness of it all, Cassius finally feels like he’s doing something worth living for.  )
Cassius does his best to keep playing the part of the oldest son for the watching eyes of the world. He does his best to turn away the questioning glances of his sister.
When Camille’s questioning glances became too insistent, he begins slipping things into her drink to help her forget.
The questioning glances stop.
Their investigations together continue.
One of those enemies crawls out of the woodwork. Cassius’ sister Camille, is subject to an attack - in which she lost her tongue. 'Speak No Evil" is the message left behind. The attacker is never caught, and their identity and affiliation remains a mystery to the family. Whomever it is, Cassius just knows there will be hell to pay when he finds them.
PRESENT DAY
Still runs a private investigation firm with his sister.
Still kills with Dexter.
Still is sad.
Pretends to be the perfect son.
OTHER
Basically the personification of that Scar gif “I’m surrounded by idiots”
Quiet. Which, trust me, is better than him speaking. When he speaks its all venom.
Keep his interest and you’ve earned his respect.
He believes in manners.
Loves a good cashmere sweater.
A ‘pure empath.’ As such, can’t speak while around his sister, a woman who’s been rendered mute by a recent attack.
Still hunting down the killer that took his sister’s tongue from her.
Did I just make Will Graham with Harley Quinn’s educational history? I mean look, I won’t tell if you won’t.
WANTED
god, why would you want anything to do with this man? but alright, give me exes ( going to be picky about these cause Cassius is picky AF ), give me people he’s investigating, give me people who hire him and his sister, give me enemies. give me people who suspect him. give me someone dating any of his sisters so he can STAB them.

💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it? ( all muses )
Amelia never says ‘I love you’, so you very much have to look out for the signs with. Trust is much more hard earned with this one and if you can win her trust, you have her heart. You know Amelia is in love when she is quiet. It’s a very specific kind of quiet - not the kind of where she’s lost in her head or spiraling, but a kind of still quiet. One where she is relaxed and at ease and her face shifts from it’s one, resting neutral bitch-face, to a world of emotions. She has a tendency to chastise, to ask questions ALL the time so Amelia says ‘I love you’ when she stitches you up, no questions asked.  She says ‘I love you’ when she breaks her moral code for you. She says ‘I love you’ when she allows herself to be openly emotional.
Tumblr media
Like Amelia, Jasper doesn’t say ‘I love you’ unless he’s in private. Jasper protects when he’s in love. Guiding hands on the small of backs. Eyes scanning new rooms for potential danger. Hand around their waist. Tiny, comforting moves that speak volumes about a man who falls in lust plenty, but falls in love rarely.
Tumblr media
Cassius avoids the term ‘I love you’ like the plague. To this day he’s probably only said it once. His expressions of love are ones of service and self-sacrifice. There’s only a few he cares about more than himself, but you can tell he loves you because he’ll put your wants at the same level as his own. If you ask something of him, he’ll do everything he can to make sure it happens. He says ‘I love you’ when he kills for you.

February 14, 2020 Vasile Manor 8:07PM
Camille stepped in autopilot for her life. Everything around her had crashed at the New Years party, and nothing had resurrected. Cassius had been the only family to give a damn before the grand gesture of the Vasiles. One she didn’t even set eyes on herself. Dimitri had shielded her from it, Cassius had taken extra measures to make sure she didn’t remember the murderous appetite of her family.
The veil was lifted from her eyes with one thing after the other. Flames had consumed Vasile & Vasile the firm she opened to help people because of her last name. It was tainted and smothered in hatred & greed. Ever since her own accident at the hands of Zelda, she felt like an outcast and now she felt like a ghost. The only person that had been in her life with nothing to gain from it was Juno. He would no doubt get her last bit of mail with the key to the storage unit. The remnants of the journals with the fleeting memories, and the shards of her phone under lock & key. Not before she shot a final text to her twin, ‘Happy Birthday’ as if this wasn’t going to turn into a ‘Happy Death Day’ .
Bright blue eyes stared at the gaunt reflection in the mirror in front of her. A simple text that she would take a bath wouldn’t arouse any suspicions. Shadows had pulled the strings around her. The letters were taped meticulously against the wall with the names written in perfect cursive.
Dimitri had been murdered, and from the looks of faces within the meeting. It only solidified the plan. None of them had a caring bone in their body. None of them would be her minute solace from death. The whispers of sleep and promises of hollow nothingness offered her more peace than the living had for weeks now. Was this what Cassius had felt when he wanted to end his life? The parallel between being the person that came crashing through the door, and being the bloodied body haunted her broken psyche.
Camille clicked the lock on the door, and found her path to the damned lit with the unspoken promise of paradise. No Pain. No Sadness. Just Sleep.  The knobs had been turned on the minute she started her letter craft. Steam rolled from the bathwater, but she could still feel the chills that sank into her spine. Cassius’s switchblade would play the finale of her life. It sunk into her forearms and created folds of flesh on both arms. She sank her head into the water to muffle the grunts. Lips parted to allow the crimson bath water enter her lungs and smother her. The limp bloodied forearm slunk across the tub, switchblade fell from the lifeless hand.
The water would seep into the floorboards and flood the bathroom. Until someone took notice to stop it, and when they did the grim discovery would be made.
Camille Vasile is dead.

Hello friends!
I made this announcement on Discord, but I’m making an announcement here too because - as they say -  “If it ain’t on the dash, it ain’t fucking canon.”
So, here’s a little update on what my characters have been up to:
Amelia O’Shea: Amelia’s been in Ireland with Matty for a few weeks. Though she’s been giving orders to the O’Shea’s remotely, she’s left Liam in charge to be her boots on the ground in Chicago. Amelia’s been reconnecting with and learning from some of those older O’Shea generations in Ireland. Amelia’s back in her role as leader of the O’Sheas.
Cassius Vasile: Similarly, Cassius has been in Russia, learning more about those Vasile roots. Quite honestly, he’s HATED his time in Russian and so he’s in a sour mood now that he’s back ( more so than usual - which is saying something.) Cassius is back in his role as a private investigator at his family’s firm.
Jasper Faust: As a US marshal, Jasper has been knee deep in his "day job.” In order to keep the Faust’s hold Witsec, Jasper has been off the grid working in the Witsec sector. He was training new members and that usually lasts six weeks. Jasper is back in his role as Consigliere of the Fausts.
All three just got back three days ago.
As mentioned on Discord, the above is canon. I’m saying everything on wire isn’t unless you and I have talked.
Hype to be back, hype to be writing.

Camille Vasile is half of the eldest of the Vasile children along with her twin brother, Cassius. She was always his walking opposite, because she hid her empathetic nature with her twin from everyone else. No, she felt the depression at times stab her heart. Except she tried to detour his suicidal nature, until the day came when she had to save him.
She was close to her other siblings, but with Cassius there was no denying the twin aspect of things. He never let her forget that he was born first between the both of them. Camille found one vice during her elementary years that carried her to her early twenties, even landing her in the Olympics. Archery was always her thing, and she isn’t half bad with darts either. The level of concentration she finds easier than some people.
Camille worries about her family on a day to day basis. She started a private investigation firm with her twin, soon after she learned that the police department was corrupt. She never gave her real reasoning of leaving as a police detective. However, she felt better when she solved the crimes with her only best friend.
See, Camille had this thing about significant others vanishing without a trace. A very vague farewell in an email or text, and she got used to people leaving her. It’s then they get what she thinks is the case of their lifetime. A serial killer. There’s a few problems this leads to:
1. The Serial killer is closer than she realizes, Cassius starts to drug her and she starts to forget her clues of the killer.
2. They were on the case of multiple serial killers, but she doesn’t remember connecting those dots.
Enter the finale that Vasile Media didn’t cover. Camille got too close with her persistent following with her twin, and that cost her a tongue. She’s mute now, the message clear as day in blood ‘Speak No Evil’ . Camille has gone underground for the most part studying over the case file albeit a bit obsessively to find the person who took her voice and bring them to justice.
Meanwhile, her brother has fallen silent as well in solidarity around her. It’s unlikely she will open her mouth or even eat/drink around a person because she’s self conscious about her mouth.
