Headcanon:  Anger

He’s got a lot of it, mostly directed at himself and his own shortcomings, and he is NOT good at controlling it.  He’s destructive toward himself, people, and property.  If someone gets on his bad side, he’s not afraid to let them know.  He’s a big guy, and he does pack a punch, he’s really not someone you want to get in a fistfight with.  While he’s got no qualms taking his rage out on people who deserve it, he’ll never take it out on Pokemon, he’d rather hurt himself.  He tends to shout, throw things, and break stuff, as much of the damage of his quarters in the Shady House can attest to.

An addition to this, when he is both drunk and pissed off (they usually go hand in hand), the only ones who can get near him are Duke, his Golisopod, or Pohole, his Scolipede (yeah my boy has a shiny Scolipede.  More on that later.)  Their tough shells ensure that even the odd stray bottle flung at high velocity won’t do any damage, and they’re big enough to push him around.

Goh picked up Guzma and powerbombed him, then dragged him to the corner and hit a splash from the corner on him! He picked up Guzma and dropped him with a Samoan drop, ran off the ropes, and hit a senton and covered him. 1... 2, Guzma kicked out again.

Goh signaled the end and picked Guzma up, who tried to hit Goh again, but to no avail. Goh hit a chokeslam, and then hit his Brain Scrambler (a hard punch to the head that carries a heavy concussion risk) on ya boy. He finally then hit his Paralyzer (a backbreaker directly to the spine that carries a risk of... well, permanent paralysis) move and covered Guzma.
