H - Humiliation (does degradation and insults get them hot? do they get off on humiliating someone else? what kind of humiliation is good for them?) 

Reed can get really into humiliation as long as it's not excessive and his praise kink's incorporated too. I don't call him a bootlicker for no reason- that's about the most extreme thing he'd be down for though, and only with specific partners. He's mainly into verbal humiliation & degradation, but not really a fan of names and actual insults.

Mercy can get into humiliating her partners if they're really into it, but she doesn't like being humiliated herself. She typically incorporates a lot of praise with it, and it tends to come off a lot like how you'd talk to a dog that's torn something up or made a mess.

I - Impact play (here’s where talking about things like spanking, paddles, canes, floggers and the like.) 

Neither of my OCs are really into impact play tbqh. Reed doesn't enjoy it at all, and Mercy only plays into it for her partner's sake- she can appreciate the marks it leaves but it doesn't do much for her.

N - Not yet (orgasm delay? orgasm denial? do they tell their partner not to touch themselves for a certain amount of time or under certain circumstances? do they delay or deny other things like bathroom usage or food? do they need to beg first? do they like being denied / delayed?) 

Fun fact, I didn't think this was a thing for Reed until I was working on a spicy prompt and it just wrote itself in. Apparently when he's in a submissive role, he just assumes that he needs permission to touch himself and will beg if he's desperate enough. He's only into this in a sexual context though, denying things like food and bathroom usage is a hard no. This 100% plays into the humiliation thing mentioned above, if he gets bullied a bit and denied he's either going to get really bratty or he's just be a hot mess.

Mercy's pretty much on the same level as Reed for this one too - denying food or bathroom usage is a hard no for her, but she loves teasing and denying her partners enough to get them to beg.

U - Underwear (what kind of underwear do they put on in the morning, if any at all… do they own any sexy underwear or lingerie?) 

god. I'm so sorry but there's a very real chance Reed's just not wearing anything, it's a bad habit he gets into while in the BOS. He doesn't actually own any lingerie but wouldn't have any issue wearing some for specific partners.

Mercy's wearing whatever the fuck she can get her hands on, but in general if she's wearing prewar-styled clothes or anything that isn't armor then she's probably wearing some sort of lingerie or at least something lacy and pretty under it. She's a big fan of lingerie and probably owns more than she should.

Y - Yes, Master (what kinds of names are used during sex? do they like being called master / mistress, daddy, etc…? what names do they call their partner?) 

Mercy's not very picky on names but she's fine with things like ma'am, sir, etc. She typically uses affectionate pet names for partners unless they have something specific they like being called.

Reed's also not very picky about names and doesn't really have a preference as long as it's not really feminine. Like Mercy, he also normally uses affectionate pet names for partners unless they have a specific name they like.

DISCLAIMER: So this character mentioned, Sir William Davenport, is NOT the love interest. However, I have yet to write any scenes with the actual love interest, Erevan (he appears a bit later and I'm only on chapter 3), so I went and looked for a snippet that would foreshadow at least part of their future dynamic.

I bowed once again, and my eyes caught the book tucked in his arm. The Saga of Lief the Uniter, a tale of an old Ikrevari king and his treacherous brother. “I’ve read that book!” I blurted before I could stop myself. Sir William’s smile grew wider. “Have you? It’s one of my favorite tales. We must discuss it sometime; I’d be delighted to hear your thoughts on it.” It wasn’t one of my favorites, but I was thrilled that someone wanted to hear my thoughts, on a book no less! “I would love to.”

" the notion seems to earnestly puzzle him a little ; brows knit , nose scrunched up ever so slightly . a man with less of an ego may well be able to think of a few things that would have his ears run hot and pink , but embarassment in general is an almost unfamiliar notion to Maron , and compliments are to be ( more or less ) graciously accepted .
