I have a question: what's up with the Terminally Online's weird hatred of Lin Manuel Miranda? I mean, I can understand not being into his style of music or whatever, but I see a bunch of Online Progressive people get really aggressive about his work on Hamilton especially. Even if you don't enjoy his work, why make up strange rumors about him and his family in Puerto Rico to make him look evil? It's absolutely baffling to me. He seems like a very kind and humble man.
I have no idea, because I don't follow the Terminally Online and try my best to ignore what they're saying. However, from the various icebergs of Discourse that have floated by on the edges, I think it’s because "the founding fathers were slaveholders and writing a musical about them with people of color is Dangerously Legitimizing them!!" Or something like that??? As if the founding fathers hadn't been slaveholders for 250 years and there are far more dangerous powerful, and systematic efforts going on to rewrite American history than by recasting it with artists of color (yet again, also why conservatives hated it, womp womp)?
There was definitely some absolutely terrible Hamilton discourse back in the Dark Days, and tumblr was tumblr about it, and Hamilton was a niche thing that then became insanely, crazily, mainstream universal, so it was therefore Cringe and had to be rejected. So yeah, the Terminally Online had to then tear into the whole idea, make up Personal Reasons Why LMM Is Morally Bad, etc etc. As I said. Complete shitshow, totally unrelated to anything about a well-meaning if possibly rather naive musical that nonetheless transformed the art form and became so popular that it had to be destroyed by the Holier Than Thou. I think.

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ @fyrewalks asked: kissing at a crowded party. // jim
Taking his hand in hers, she brokers no discussion, guiding him deeper and deeper into the dance floor, slipping between couples and friend groups with quick, bubbly and bright apologies until finding a more secluded space to stop. Fingers slip from his so she can take an experimental spin, blue skirts spinning around her hips, stopping after two turns when she faces him again, eyes crinkling in the corners when she sees he is in the same position she left him in.
Hand finds his again, slender frame pressing up against his as she guides him in a small circle. The speed of her spins is gone, instead bodies sway together to a low-tempo beat, the song blasting from the speakers forgotten as she encourages him to let go and enjoy himself; no one deserves a break more than him, but he had spent most of the night on the sidelines. There are days for talking, and they talk a whole lot — the nights, she believes, are much better spent dancing.
❛ No one is looking. You can not be the captain for a second, ❜ as if to prove her wrong, the group behind them moves, two drunken ensigns tripping over each other and hitting her on the back, pressing them closer together.
Christine clings to his shoulder, trying to keep her balance, surprised laughter muffled in his neck. ❛ Okay, I spoke too soon, but look, ❜ blue eyes peak out, following the group which is back to their awkward shuffling, before returning to him, the humor there melting into something else. He was a distractingly handsome man most of the time, but half-lit, the lines of his cheekbones and jaw stole her train of thought.
❛ Ummm, ❜ she thought have taken a step back, she had only dragged him here to steal a smile from him, thinking he had been far too serious all night long, but instead the hand on his shoulder tightens on the fabric of his shirt, lips parted, still looking for the joke that had been on the tip of her tongue. Instead, her chin lifts and she presses her lips against his, quick, a quick peck that could barely be called a kiss but lights her up all the same, a moment later coming in for more.
assortment of kisses

Okay so i cant remember if it was actually answered in the fic but are tradesmen immortal? Also do you have to have tradespeople parents to become one or do they just spontaneously happen like muggle borns?
Hell of a way to find out your kid it magic when they accidentally make your bones chocolate.
They are immortal but can be killed.
It's purposefully left ambiguous how tradespeople are made, only clarified that Dave isn't one. A properly poignant explanation hasn't occurred to me yet, basically.

megstiel agenda in my reblog tags? more likely than you’d think!!! thank u for your service and stream my silly goofy shitty megstiel 30h!3 amv for maximum megstiel enjoyment
Yeah!!! The song I mentioned in those tags is this one, it's about breakup sex I guess but the vibes. The "vulgar like an angel" thing. The comparing herself to leftovers. The saying that this is the end but still hoping for more. The "god knows how much I sin". The salt. And the sexy sexy instrumental that takes up half the song. Megstiel sex. To me.

@wornskirt “ all I kept thinking about, over and over, was ‘ you can’t live forever; you can’t live forever. ”
sybill knew better than that. math textbook is splayed out in front of her, a glitter pen in her hand that she tapped against her cheek. there is a subtle curl to the corner of her lips, something that is not quite a smile. “ are you sure ? ” she asked after a moment of contemplation. the question at face value could seen insincere as if she were teasing kailee, but her features said otherwise. “ if there was a way do you think you would take it ? ” she chewed at the end of the pen, big eyes looking up for the girl’s answer. “ think of all that you could do with eternity. ”
