I really needed some distraction because of the now officially cancelled Lover show in Berlin because I’m scared to fall back into that deep hole I was in last year and of which knowing I will see Taylor live in 2020 has pulled me out. Since that is gone now, I’m gonna concentrate on doing some edits to keep my mind from going there again. Here’s my 2nd to last #18FacetsOfLover edit. I originally planned to use it as a countdown to my Lover show in Berlin, but since it wasn’t happening I took some more time to do the edits. It’s Nice To Have A Friend is such an underestimated song. I love the song’s story and the minimalist arrangement of the music. Time for a new #18FacetsOfLover 🇬🇧 London Boy🇬🇧 I really really love this song because it always gives me a flashback to my trip to London some years ago. I went there with a friend and we’ve had the best time. We visited the Tower, the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Oxford & Carnaby Street, Harrods, the Musical Rock of Ages, the Harry Potter Tour and Wembley Stadium etc. I still can’t believe that we’ve managed to see everything in 7 days 😄 Fun Fact: when Taylor mentions: “West End” and “stories from uni”, it makes me smile because my university campus in Frankfurt was called “Westend” 😆 https://www.instagram.com/p/CAK6pVaHYic/?igshid=13j2d0i2w4mz

Ready for a new #18FacetsOfLover ? Only 5 more to go 🙉 So, I’m trying a sugar / meat detox this week to clear my stomach. I’ve had many problems with my stomach the past weeks (let’s say, since the lockdown and all of the measurements have started). Especially the cancellation of Lover Fest Berlin (which would’ve been tomorrow in 4 weeks) has gotten to me even more than I wanted to 😔 I’m one of those people whose stress level transfers to her stomach. Thus, I think (and hope) that this detox-week will help my stomach and my mind to feel better. Here’s a new #18FacetsOfLover … I wasn’t sure if I should do an edit for SYGB because of the background. But then I thought, I had to because it has such an important meaning to me. Instead of using a photo of Taylor, I decided to write down feelings I connect to the song. On the one hand SYGB is about pain and fear, feeling powerless, helpless and devasted. But on the other it also shows a glimpse of optimism, hope, faith, cohesion, love and strength, attributes everyone needs once in a while, especially at the moment. Although I can’t listen to SYGB often because it makes me cry, afterwards I feel a bit of comfort because I tell myself that it will be better soon. Here’s my 5th day of #18FacetsOfLover 💜 I connect this song to friendship because it’s so hard to find this 100% friendship. Sometimes I feel like for some people, when it comes to supporting each other and being there no matter what, the friendship doesn’t exist anymore. Especially “they see right through me” got to me because I’ve always felt like the second choice and the one whose feelings don’t matter as much as others’ do. When this happens, I always ask myself if I’ve done something wrong or why they start treating me like this. But when you ask them you never get an answer and this really hurts.
