30 Days of Autism Acceptance: Day 7
April 7: Talk about autism in the media. Do you think that autism is typically portayed well? Badly? Is there anything you'd like to see more of when it comes to autistic representation? Who are your favorite autistic characters? Do you have any headcanons?
I think that autism is typically portrayed badly though it has also been portrayed well. I'd like to see more autistic people of color characters, female autistic characters, and trans and nonbinary autistic characters as well as autistic characters being portrayed as just as real as neurotypical characters and not only to affect the other characters.
My favorite autistic characters are Billy Cranston AKA Blue Ranger from Power Rangers 2017, Carl Gould from Arthur, and Julie from Sesame Street.
My headcanons are Spongebob Squarepants (Spongebob Squarepants), Patrick Star (Spongebob Squarepants), Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Ochaco Uraraka (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Tsuyu Asui (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Tenya Iida (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Koji Koda (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Shota Aizawa (My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia), Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama (Mob Psycho 100), Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter), Hermione Granger (Harry Potter), Arthur Weasley (Harry Potter), Rigby (Regular Show), Papyrus (Undertale), Sans (Undertale), Star Butterfly (Star vs. Forces of Evil), Bubbles (The Powerpuff Girls 1998), Jenny Wakeman/X-9J (My Life as a Teenage Robot), Jotaro Kujo (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures), Noriaki Kakyoin (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures), Dr. Toadley (Mario series), Luigi (Mario series), Tallstar (Warriors series), Snow White (Snow White), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Anna (Frozen), Elsa (Frozen), Morty Sanchez (Rick and Morty), Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty), Tina Belcher (Bob’s Burgers), Jack Skellington (Nightmare Before Christmas), Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Coraline Jones (Coraline), Wyborne “Wybie” Lovat (Coraline), Crona (Soul Eater), Fluttershy (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Maud Pie (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Starlight Glimmer (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Rook Blonko (Ben 10: Omniverse), Rey (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Sportacus (Lazytown), Robbie Rotten (Lazytown), Entrapta (She-ra), Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), Mako Mori (Pacific Rim), Fonzie (Sesame Street), Steven Universe (Steven Universe franchise), Connie Maheswaran (Steven Universe franchise), Garnet (Steven Universe franchise), Amethyst (Steven Universe franchise), Pearl (Steven Universe franchise), Peridot (Steven Universe franchise), Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond (Steven Universe franchise), The 13th Doctor (Doctor Who), Daria (Daria), Wallace (Wallace & Gromit), Eleven/El (Stranger Things), Mumble (Happy Feet), Velma Dinkley (Scooby-Doo), Fred Jones (Scooby-Doo), L (Death Note), Remy (Ratatouille), Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls), Dipper Pines (Gravity Falls), Miles “Tails” Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog), Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog), Starfire (Teen Titans), Raven (Teen Titans), Marvin the Martin (Looney Tunes and Baby Looney Tunes), and Milo Thatch (Atlantis: The Lost Empire).

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 16
April 16: Do you experience hyper empathy or low empathy? Talk about it. What is it like?
I experience hyper empathy. It means that I feel whatever emotion(s) that a person or character is feeling as my own. If they are happy, excited, or upset, then I am happy, excited, or upset. If they are sad, angry, or scared, then I am sad, angry, or scared. For me, I feel the emotion(s) strongly and can take me a while to calm down, especially with negative emotions.

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 1
April 1: Introduce yourself. Talk about who you are as a person.
I am Chiajasmine AKA Jasmine. I am currently 20 years old and an autistic person (not person with autism) who supports autism rights, animals not being abused/neglected, and vulnerable members of society being protected and having rights. I believe that autistic people should be treated like people. I am an INFJ, an introvert, and a Taurus. I tend to keep to myself mostly.
I describe myself as quiet, soft-spoken, shy, blunt at times, friendly, kind, creative, curious, empathetic, sensitive, and caring.
I also think and daydream about anything that is on my mind at the moment. I am a neuronarrator.
I like singing, listening to music, animated shows, animation (especially cartoons and anime), art, fanfiction, reading and writing stories, swings, and taking pictures on my phone.
I believe that there should be genuinely good representation for marginalized people so they would be represented and not feel alone.
I'm open to asks and messages. ^^

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 8
April 8: What are some misconceptions/stereotypes about autism that you hate?
The misconceptions/stereotypes about autism that I hate are autism being an awful and horrible disease that needs to be cured, that autism is more prevalent in boys, autism being equated to cancer, autism being caused by vaccines, autism being presented as a debt that autistic people have to repay, autistic people being less human and their feelings, emotions, and experiences being less real and valid than neurotypical people, autistic people being called robots, all autistic people being savants or having a special talent, all autistic people being males/AMAB, all autistic people being white/Caucasian, all autistic females/AFAB people being good at camouflaging/masking, and autistic people being inherently incapable of being friends, making friends, falling in love, being loved, having steady partners, loving others, and living good, fulfilling lives.

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 30
April 30: What would you like your final message of Autism Acceptance Month to be?
Autism acceptance should be all year-round and not just in the month of April. All autistic people are valid whether they were diagnosed early in life, later in life, undiagnosed, or self-diagnosed and whether they are intellectually disabled, physically disabled, both, or neither. Not all autistic people have the same special interests and special interests should be respected.
Autistic people are people and human beings so they should be treated as such. Allistic people wanting to hire, date, marry, be friends with, or be in a relationship with autistic people should not do so out of pity. Autistic people who have no empathy, low empathy, or fluctuating empathy are just as valid as autistic people who have high empathy or an average level of empathy. Autistic people who can't work or go to school are just as valid as autistic people who can work or go to school.
Also, autistic people are not to be pitied for being autistic or be seen as a tragedy for being autistic.

April 17: Have you experienced ableism before? If so, how did it feel and how did you handle it?
Yes, I've experienced ableism before. It made me feel bad, hurt, and insecure about myself. I felt that I did not handle it well since I didn't have the skills to do so since it happened in middle school.

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 22
April 22: What are some social rules that do not make sense to you/that you don't understand?
One social rule that I don't understand is not explaining jokes to people who don't understand them because "it would ruin the joke". I also don't understand is the concepts of "age appropriateness" and "gender appropriateness" because everyone has their own likes, interests, and preferences.

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2020: Day 20
April 20: Discuss stimming. In what ways do you stim? What does stimming mean to you? What do individual stims that you do mean? Do you have any stim toys? What would you like people to know about stimming?
Stimming is a repetitive body movement that self-stimulates one or more senses in a regulated manner. It can also serve as a way to communicate or to calm down. Stimming is a natural behavior that can improve emotional regulation and prevent meltdowns in stressful situations. I stim by listening to music, singing, humming, whistling, making vocal sounds, bouncing, rocking, move my feet up and down, stroking my hair, and rubbing my skin with hands, fingers, fingertips, clothes, or other objects. I have auditory stims, tactile stims, and vestibular stims. My stims vary in meaning, from contentment to nervousness to stress. I have a fidget spinner I got from college. Stimming should be accepted and stimming that causes harm to the autistic person, others, and/or property should be replaced with stimming that is not harmful instead of suppressing stimming entirely.
