Don't know the context of it, but imagine Luke and Leia being raised in the Temple and both wanting to be Obi-Wan's padawan and Obi-Wan being incapable of choosing between them, so the three of them go to the Council with the most pleading look on their faces and promise to be nice so can they please both be Uncle Obi-Wan's padawans 🥺

The Council isn't too thrilled about it but they're twins, so they could probably bend the rules a lit—

The two excited screams that follow almost make Master Yoda fall from his chair.

"UNCLE OBI did you hear?" Luke asks, tugging on Obi-Wan's robe as if he hasn't been there the whole time. "You're our master now! BOTH of us!"

Leia doesn't even notice that her brother is talking, moving her little arms excitingly. "I can't wait to tell Ezra, he said that it was stupid and the council would never accept but what does he know, the laserbrain isn't even—"

"Uncle Obi do we have to call you Master now? Master Uncle? I know you prefer that we call you Obi-Wan but I think Master Obi is so much cooler—"

"Remember that you asked for this, Obi-Wan," Mace Windu says and Obi-Wan is almost certain he's smiling a bit too much not to be teasing, but Luke is already climbing in his arms to make sure Obi-Wan is listening to him and Leia is halfway out of the room already talking about her padawan braid, so he doesn't really have time to think about it.

He has a feeling he won't have time for anything else except his padawans for quite some time now.

I remain convinced that the original ending/epilogue of s3 was Javi (& Gabe if he's alive) accompanying Clementine to the ranch to reunite her with AJ, and having to fight their way through the fires together, but the initial reception of s3 was so terribly that they instead cut up the ending into what we got, with Javi being basically forced to stay in Richmond and cut off from Clem's story. Which is why we still got a crazy ranch scene in s4 because they really wanted to display that part but without Javier. And that's probs why the "we did it patrick! we saved the city!" ass endings aren't very good 💔

#playing the final season of ttwd #and i looked up about james philosophy. #idk if it was just me. but did they Not pay attention to what he was saying #or just want to get it quickly over with to get him to help #like after that ep of tlou with tess. i fucking understand #he says so himself theyre not 'dead' but theyre not living either #like. his whole point is yeah. theyre scary. they can hurt you. but they do it to survive. #theyre a whole species that is just trying to survive #yes. they can hurt you. the living can hurt you worse though #like for me at least you Know that the walkers thing is about eating. #but considering lily is kidnapping enslaving and murdering people to have her way. #if you murder the walkers its for protection exclusively. esp since none ever really did when they werent coming after them #but the point is. people didnt seem to get that??? #he wasnt trying to push the idea that theyre people ro #he even says yeah rhey used to be people. but theyre not really now #plus the whole opening sequence of aj and clem #walking away from a walker slowly being covered in flowers and vines #also when the walker pushed clem and the other proceeded to push them back and basically just glare at them #like. they arent people. they do ain to kill #but at least you know they arent doing it exclusively to hurt either??? #even though it usually does

people will say clem should have died at the end of s4 like we didnt get the entire barn sequence. like clem didnt literally become lee in the end seeing his fate through her own eyes. like they didnt fake us out sooooo hard. like they didnt play take us back to hammer it home. the game ended on the pan out of the ericson gates and everything after that is the epilogue where things are Fine Actually and clem gets her happy ending. we got BOTH!!

like what you wanted her fate to be the same as lees? did you miss the themes throughout s4 of breaking the cycle?? did you miss aj feeling so helpless to a fate clem sees as inevitable? where all he wants is agency? where hes looking for another way?? he tells clem she wont always be able to tell him no and he was RIGHT!! he says NO to her death!! he makes his choice and SAVES HER!! she told him they couldnt be together in death and so he said then youll have to keep living!!!

and she does!!! she loses her leg but she gains a Home. a REAL ONE!! full of people who love her. where they get to choose their own paths and make their own future Together. and she finally gets some fucking Rest. a part of herself dies in that barn but a new part gets to emerge!! she gets to live a happy life surrounded by a loving community that she helps build!!! and you think she shouldve died 😐

Hello whatever is left of the TWDG fandom in 2023, I missed y'all! Figured I'd post some new drawings I made for this old Duck survives AU of mine here as well because I'm back in my TWDG era. Been posting these on Reddit but I figured what the hell, might as well revive my years old Tumblr where this AU started after all.

Anyway, I just think it'd be neat to see him survive and how he'd turn out as an adult and seeing him and Clem co-parent AJ (but not in a mom and dad kinda way, more like mom and dumb-but-cool Florida man uncle way).

been playing through TWDG after like 10 years and I decided to draw a really self-serving idea of "what if every child throughout the series made it to Ericsons with Clem"

Duck is not a smart man but he's exceptionally loyal. His lack of wit is countered by his raw strength, despite losing a hand all the way back at the motor inn. At Ericson's he'd probably hang around with the likes of Mitch and Willy. Totally has his dad's hat somewhere.

Becca is the local pain in the ass. Constantly breaching the safe zone and acting primarily in her own interests, few people actually like her but can't deny her capability; she's good to have around in a fight. She's come to respect Clementine's resourcefulness but would never admit it.

Sarah stays firmly within the walls of the school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't pull her own weight. Following in her father's footsteps she's the closest the school has to a doctor now. She'll hang close to Clementine but also gets along with Ruby and Aasim.

Gabe Garcia is the local sadboy. He's not as moody as he was in Richmond, but he's still a little mopey and insists on stepping up. Despite her protests he's very protective of his sister, and still harbors a soft spot for Clementine - so naturally doesn't get along with Louis/Violet.

Mariana Garcia is young but capable, and weirdly well adjusted and mature for her age - she's younger than Gabe but feels like the older sister. After the New Frontier shot her eye out she hasn't been as active in a fight but she'll still insist on pulling her weight while knowing her limits. Gets on with everyone.

James Fairbanks is the oldest known surviving member of his family (unless Sam is still out there) and is brutally protective of his younger brother, Alex. Has a mutual respect with Clem and is very good at setting traps outside the school.

Alex Fairbanks would probably like to fight walkers more but James prefers he'd stick to supply runs and stay on watch. He feels stuck at the kids' table and wants to do more to help, but is at a loss on how to do so.

Okay hear me out.

What if nick was the one that met clem at the start of the apocalypse instead of Lee.

I think the idea is interesting. Seeing as nick would most likely have no clue what to do with this kid he just found.

It would also make nick less reckless as well I feel like, seeing as clementines like an anchor, just like she was for Lee in season 1.

I feel like she'd also have a very positive impact on nick's mental state as well, she'd also prolly give him a reason to keep going as well.

He'd absolutely try keep her innocence in tact best he possibly can. But still obviously teach her how to survive.

Also, piggyback rides all day especially if they have to walk. Which clem enjoys seeing as nick's 'super tall' her words not mine.
