ok admittedly we actually call my russian grandfather the croatian of “papa” instead of anything russian but the point still stands

#t #reason being when i was born my grandfather (tall+wears+glasses+has a beard) came to stay and help out my mom #and my brother was in a daycare run by croatian family friends where the father was also tall+wore glasses+had a beard #and since he was not yet two that was enough for these two men to merge in my brother’s mind and he started calling our grandfather tata #and since he was the eldest grandchild it just stuck
