Character Info: Taichi Satō

Taichi Satō is a action hero and leader of the Recruitment division. Having been rescued by the Kaneko Clan at a young age, he grew up to be a gunman for them and then worked his way to becoming a division leader. Known for his tendency for upfront fights rather than most other characters being more stealth-oriented, he's willing to get his hands dirty. He's also very good with kids, and acts as the comic relief of the main cast.

Some additional facts

Taichi is a big protector of kids, and will fuck anyone up who harms them, to the point of him becoming terrifying. Child abuse is a good way of setting him on a war path.

Apparently the brother of Ken, due to their father Osamu Ito selling him off as a baby which led to the Kaneko Clan rescuing him. Small world.

Initially, he tries to imitate his idol Naoki by trying really hard to be a goofball with pranks (despite Naoki just being hyperactive).

Has horrible gas problems, burping and farting often.

His goofy behavior is appreciated at first, but people grow to find him annoying as time goes on, to the point Naoki has enough of his shit and cuts ties with him. Due to this, Taichi tries to reinvent himself as more of a cool fighter, as shown on the right.

Probably very book dumb.

Due to his status as a action hero, his clan assignments are for when stealth is impossible and fighting is absolutely necessary.

Has a motorcycle, and has been begging Naoya for mounted weapons on it to no avail.

The M110 Semi Automatic Sniper System (M110 SASS) is an American semi-automatic rifle that is chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO round. It is manufactured by Knight's Armament Company, developed from the Knight's Armament Company SR-25, and adopted by the U.S. military following the 2005 US Army Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle (XM110 SASR) competition. The M110 is to be replaced by the lighter and more compact M110A1 CSASS, which is developed from the G28, a variant of the Heckler & Koch HK417.

The NM149 is a 7.62x51mm Norwegian made snipers rifle based on the Mauser M98 action and modyfied to take detachable 5 round magazines, flash suppressor and bipod mount. It weighed 5,6kg and had a length of 115cm. It was introduced into the Norwegian army in 1985 to replace the aging and outdated M/59F1 snipers rifle. The NM149 was produced by Våpensmia A/S and outfitted with a Schmidt und Bender 6x42 optic. It has now been replaced by The Heckler & Koch HK417, but still sees some minor use in the Home Guard.

For my latest project, I chose to model Heckler & Koch’s HK417 in Fusion 360 to improve my prop design sensibility. As a designer, breaking down the HK417 into components really opened my eyes to how impressive the craftsmanship and engineering went into the HK417. Also, to make the build out more enjoyable, I did customize some of the components such as the handguard and the buttstock. Lastly, to wrap up the project I came across Gallow Technologies modular wall mount weapon racks which I used as reference to model my wall mount and hangers. This project was such a great design exercise and really sharpened my weapon prop design skill set. Workflow Breakdown: - CAD modeling in Fusion 360 - Materials and Render in Blender - Post processing in Adobe Lightroom - Finish overlays in Adobe Photoshop Disclaimer: While this HK417 was modeled in Fusion 360, an engineering focused CAD software, the model is non-functional and is an artistic interpretation. An Introduction To HK Firearms

Heckler & Koch GmbH (HK) is a legendary German defense manufacturing giant that was founded over 70 years ago. With the company motto being “No Compromises”, HK specializes in developing and producing some of the most high-quality and sophisticated handguns, submachine guns, rifles, and grenade launchers in the world.

In the 1970’s, HK began to further specialize its product offerings by focusing development on defense and law enforcement weapons alongside hunting and sports firearms.

The 90’s saw HK producing revolutionary assault rifle prototypes that featured caseless weapon systems and lightweight carbon fiber-reinforced polymer materials.

Starting in the 21st century, HK was contracted by the U.S. Army to produce extremely advanced kinetic energy subsystem weapons such as “objective individual combat” assault rifles that fired 20mm HE airbursting rounds. During this time the HK416 assault rifle was developed as a Colt M4 variant to serve the elite Delta Force in the field.

Today, HK exports its firearms to many defense, law enforcement, and civilian markets around the world. Heckler & Koch HK45 Compact Tactical .45ACP Pistol

The HK45 is an evolution of the popular USP family of pistols and was designed to meet requirements for the U.S. Military Joint Combat Pistol program in an effort to replace the 9mm M9 pistol used by the U.S. military.

The HK45 was the first firearm manufactured at American plants and its variants are used by major U.S. special operations groups. It is one of the most technologically advanced handguns on the market.

The HK45 Compact Tactical (CT) shown here is the civilian version of the HK45. However, the HK45 CT is used by military and law enforcement as well because it uses all HK45 magazines and is essentially a lighter version of the HK45 (there is a law enforcement modification with double action trigger mechanism).

The CT comes with a threaded barrel, 10-round mag with replaceable back straps to custom fit the user’s hand. All HK handguns feature a proprietary recoil reduction system that improves performance control by up to 30%. The “O-ring” barrel improves accuracy and reduces slide lockup.

Other cutting-edge technologies include a cold hammer forged polygonal bore profile that seals propellant gas behind the bullet which increases velocity, and a reinforced polyamide frame that provides strength and gives the handgun a futuristic look.

Heckler & Koch P30SK (SubKompact) 9mm, V3-Double Action/Single Action Semi-Auto

The SK version of the highly respected P30 series features all of the characteristics of the larger models except in a compact and concealable design. Like most HK handguns, the P30SK consists of modifiable back straps (3 types) and lateral grips (6 types) to suit the user’s grip comfort needs.

It is also available in several trigger firing modes such as the sought after double action, or “law enforcement modification”, and a “light strike” mode that requires a little over 5 lbs-force to pull. There are also ambidextrous manual safety levers and a double action/single action setup with a decocking button.

The P30SK, despite being one of the smallest HK models, feels perfect in the user’s hand due to being well-balanced and easy to control/point. The P30SK is a 9mmx19 caliber pistol with an overall length of 6.42 inches and weight of 23.99 oz.

The VP handgun line was introduced in 2014 with the acclaimed VP9 (9mm). The VP40 is the Smith & Wesson .40 caliber rimless cartridge variant of the series. The VP series is HK’s most recent handgun family and was in development for over four years.

The P30 series of pistols inspired HK engineers to evolve the design of its handguns and resulted in the unique and innovative “striker firing system” that is integrated into all VP pistols. The “light pull” trigger that is characteristic of the series represents the best trigger quality on the market in comparison to any striker-fired handgun.

HK pioneered the first striker-fired pistols with the VP70 and P7 series. The superiority of the trigger system found in these groundbreaking pistols is showcased in the VP40 model and surpasses most pistols on the market. For example, the VP trigger has a consistent “pre-travel” pull with positive wall/crisp break. In other words, the pre-travel pull is barely noticeable until the trigger reaches the engagement point unlike other striker-fired guns in which the trigger feels heavier the farther you pull it.

Like all HK handguns, the VP series features an ergonomic, ambidextrous handgrip with interchangeable back straps and up to six grip panels. Finger grooves instinctively guide the user’s fingers into the ideal holding position.

The VP40 is truly a state-of-the-art handgun. Original features of the VP series include patented charging supports which provide superior gripping leverage for slide racking and also accelerate reloading. The VP40 has an extended Picatinny rail molded into its polymer frame for light mounts and accessories.

The handgun is crafted with superior materials like corrosion-free, cold hammer forged steel and passes extreme endurance tests (100,000+ rounds fired) without showing any wear and tear.

The VP40 comes with either 13-round or 10-round magazines of .40S&W and weighs just 28.93 oz.
