Loralei’s relationships with the mercs (oops it’s long)
Medic: He's her father so of course she loves him, but she thought he was dead!!!! It'll take some getting used to having a father again. Sometimes when he compliments her she gets a little too emotional. It's great having him back but also very abnormal. At least she can learn more from him now. She looks up to him, and wants nothing more than to make him proud, but she knows that he didn't want her to live the same life he did, even as a child he never mentioned his work as a doctor. He kept home and work separate, for some that would be ideal, but not for her. She heard him saying to her mother once that he thought it was too gruesome, too stressful, and she should do something SHE loved. Not something he did. But all she ever loved was her parents, so what else was there?
Heavy: When she first met Heavy she wanted to rip his chest open and see how big his organs were, but she decided against it. They eventually became great friends, and they have a book club too, Demo, Spy and Engie joined. Heavy is like an uncle to her since he's good friends with Medic.
Engie: He welcomed her with his southern charm and immediately she knew that he was anything but normal. This man was intelligent, sarcastic, and deadly with a wrench. They also became great friends, and he has begun teaching her how to build her own weapons with the help of Medic as well.
Demo: They met while he was sober, but they had more fun when he was drunk. Along with Soldier they would have tons of fun destroying things and playing cards. She replaced his eye once, BIG MISTAKE!! Then she took his remaining eye, ALSO BIG MISTAKE!!!! But other than that they are great pals!!!!
Soldier: Oh brother this guy is LOUD!!!! She loves that, sometimes they argue about who should keep the heads, but eventually she just let him take them. When they are left alone in a room together, something either catches on fire or someone loses a limb. Either way they are good buddies!!!!
Pyro: Their strange way of communicating took some getting used to, but eventually she found them intriguing. When she cuts them open for medical care, she always finds their organs to be the healthiest. Which isn't really that big of deal but she has never seen them drink or eat ANYTHING!!!! Sometimes she will read her book to them, and sometimes they teach her how to draw ponies!!!! A wonderful pal is what they are!!!!
Sniper: He's antisocial and a loner, they don't really talk much but when they do, she's yelling at him to drink more water because his jars should NOT be that yellow. Sometimes on rainy days, she will find him on a covered balcony watching the storm. She joins and they sit in silence. A strange man, but a good one.
Scout: While they may be close in their ages, they are completely different. He's a loud mouth and a jerk. But he does draw really well, and he can be pleasant company when he isn't filled with energy drinks. He tends to defend her in arguments, which is always helpful. So while he may be rude sometimes, he always surprises her by showing a different side of him. One of trust and faith in his team, which is something they all need sometimes. He's a friend, and one of the most trustworthy.
Spy: If there's one thing Loralei doesn't like it's liars. Spy sneaks around too much for her comfort, and his poker face is deadly. She finds him discomforting. But he is a wonderful book club member, always bringing new perspectives on characters or the story. After awhile, she realized that him being sneaky and nosy was from his sense of curiosity. He likes to know everything he can about everything, and that is somewhat admirable. They are friends, but at a distance.

Crosshair x Reader
“What did you just say?” I asked turning to look at the young girl.
“The inhibitor chips, they’re implanted into all the clones.” She quipped.
“Is th- that why Crosshair turned on us?”
“And you knew about them?” My voice was eerily calm and quiet.
“Y-yes. But I didn’t kn-“
“You knew and you didn’t think to tell anyone!?” I started out with the same calm tone that grew more and more until I was screaming at the poor girl.
She shook her head.
I had hot tears running down my face. “We could have saved him if we knew about the chip. But thought it was a good idea to keep that convenient piece of information for yourself! You’re probably just here to spy on us, aren’t you? That’s why they didn’t come looking for you. And I saw you shoot that blaster either you’ve done that before or your special. Either way they knew you could do that and it’s all probably part of their plan.” I was seething at this point.
Omega was terrified. Terrified of me. And part of me saw that and wanted to stop screaming at her, but the hurt, broken and emotional side of me couldn’t stop.
At least not until Hunter was stepping between the two of us.
“Yn calm down.” He said trying to get me to cool off some.
“No Hunter, she’s a damn spy and you know it!”
“No she’s not. You and I both know that.” He was still speaking calmly to me and put his hand gently on my shoulder. That was all it took.
I was collapsing to my knees, Hunter grabbed my arms to help slow the fall as he crouched down in front of me. He nodded to Echo and Tech who took Omega out of the room for the time being.
“He’s gone, Hunter.” I cried as he held me.
“Ssshhh. It’ll be alright.” He whispered, rubbing my back.
“How could you say that? He’s gone, how could I possibly be okay?” I asked pulling away to look at him.
“What’s my number one rule for missions?” He asked.
“Never leave a brother behind.” I answered, hiccuping a few times as I tried to stop crying.
“Exactly. We’re going to get him back. I promise. We just need some time to regroup and figure out how to do it. But we will get him back, and we will help him.” He said.
I could only nod. He nodded back to me and hugged me one last time before standing up and offering me a hand up.
I was exhausted at this point so I decided to go back to the bunks. It was maybe five minutes later when Wrecker came by.
“Hey short stuff?” He asked gently.
I pulled the curtain back and looked down at him from Crosshair’s top bunk.
“I have something for you...” he said and pulled out something from behind his back.
It was Lula. He held the tooka doll out for me to take. I slowly reached out and took it.
“It always helps me and Crosshair when we’re feeling down. Maybe she can help you too.” He said.
“Thank you Wrecker. I really appreciate it.” I said offering the best smile I could at the moment.
He nodded before walking off once again.
I closed the curtain and rolled over clutching the plush toy to my chest. I still smelt like Crosshair. It was comforting and heart wrenching at the same. I closed my eyes and tried to find sleep as the tears continued to slip down onto Lula.
The next morning I apologized to Omega. I felt horrible for what I had done and said. I knew she was t a spy, and I felt horrible for taking my emotions out on her. She forgave me and said she understood that I was just hurting. I was grateful for that, I wouldn’t be able to continue knowing she was scared of me.
We all sat down later that day and discussed our new mission: Save Crosshair.
