Transferring Funds to Buy the Property in Costa Rica
Transferring funds to Costa Rica in order to buy the property can sometimes be harsh. We work with the best escrow companies to make it as easy and smooth as possible with all the necessary requirements. In general, the process is very simple but if not done right with the required documentation it may be tougher, that is why we will guide you through this process as well to make it as easy and fast as possible. When finding your desired property, the seller will request a down payment, usually 5-10%. Then we will have a time window (usually 30-60 days) to transfer the rest of the money to Costa Rica using our escrow company. During that time we will guide you and assist you with the documentation so that we are ready on time for the closure of your new property.

Real Estate In Costa Rica
In the last years, an increasing number of American, Canadian and European investors have turned their eyes toward Costa Rica growing Real Estate Market. Forced by their restrictively expensive domestic property markets plus the volatility and insecurity of existing equity markets, investors have found in our country an outstanding alternative for investment.
Tumblr media
Costa Rica has been by tradition a democratic and peaceful Central America country. Costa Rica is famous for its neutrality over past and present conflicts in the area, recognized by the world community when the President Oscar Arias received the Nobel Peace Price in 1987 and mentioned in the CIA World Fact Book as "a Central America success story".
Costa Ricans, also known as "ticos" happily boasts that Costa Rica is so peaceful that it does not need an army, and has more teachers than police officers!
Since it is a stable country with extreme natural beauty, more and more people are looking into Costa Rica for a new home or a second home abroad on the growing Costa Rican property market.
Even though Costa Rica current boom on real estate has caused for an inflation of prices, land and house prices in the country are very affordable with prices not even close to those in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom. Up and above the country strong resale market, currently luxury beachfront developments can start as low as US$80,000 or prices starting just from US$250,000 for detached homes on sizeable plots.
Currently, over 50,000 United States' citizens live in Costa Rica. Besides, Unites States brokers can easily arrange finance for property purchase in Costa Rica, since the United States government considers this country to be a politically and economically stable country.
Foreigners may find in Costa Rica a way of life very similar to the Western or American standards, which strive on a good quality lifestyle. The people moving into our country enjoy the benefit of good infrastructure, excellent communications and good standard of services. Other advantages for those interested on relocating in Costa Rica are the relatively low cost of living, the excellent health care services up to par with American standards, a high education and literacy standards, very good command of English language by most Costa Ricans and a strong and stable economy based on agriculture, science and technology, and tourism.
An added benefit for investors in real estate in Costa Rica or for those looking to move to the country is the favorable low tax regime the country has adopted, and the fact that property ownership rights in Costa Rica for non-residents or foreigners are unrivalled to those in the rest of the countries of Central and Latin America region.
The boom that Costa Rica is experiencing on the real estate market has not upset the overall picture of the country, as its economy is not reliant exclusively on real state, meaning that it will remain stable and property prices are not artificially talked up.

INVU PLAN MADURO
The Benefits of INVU's Mature Plans in Costa Rica The country’s open business climate, well-educated labor force, diversified upper-middle-income economy, and dynamic investment promotion board attract foreign investments. State-owned enterprises, however, have significant market dominance in petroleum-derived fuels, lottery, railroads, electricity and water distribution, and ports. Regulatory bodies do not impose visa, residency, or work permit requirements that would inhibit mobility of foreign portfolio investors and employees. Additionally, government entities encourage companies to comply with corporate responsibility standards beyond legal requirements. 1. Access to Equity Homeowners have a variety of options to unlock the equity in their Costa Rica property, including home equity loans. Homeowners can find a strategy that suits their needs and goals. These options are often flexible and have competitive interest rates. Costa Rican law and policy recognize and protect property rights, including the right of ownership. Financial system inclusion is high, with the central bank reporting that more than 80 percent of adults have a bank account. In the public sector, workers may join solidarity associations or permanent committees for access to savings plans, low-interest loans and health clinics. Such organizations coexist with labor unions and enjoy constitutional recognition equivalent to that of unions. Costa Rica's established government institutional framework and diversified upper-middle-income economy are attractive to foreign investors. The country's investment promotion agency CINDE prioritizes attracting foreign direct investments in key sectors, such as services, advanced manufacturing and tourism. The government does not impose requirements that foreign companies transfer technology or proprietary business information and purchase a certain percentage of inputs from local sources. 2. Flexible Payment Options Homeowners can access their property’s equity through a variety of options. It is important to weigh the benefits and risks of each option to determine which one best suits a homeowner’s financial situation and retirement funding goals. It may also be beneficial to seek professional advice before making a decision. Unlike most countries in Latin America, Costa Rica does not limit foreign ownership of real estate, although a public procedure must be followed to register a land purchase. Foreign investors are able to borrow in the local market and can even buy from abroad, although a withholding tax applies. Costa Rica's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) hold monopolies in petroleum and ethanol distribution, lottery operation, railroad transport and water distribution (CNP/FANAL), and power generation (ICE, CNFL, JASEC, and ESPH). They also have significant market dominance in insurance (INS) and telecommunications (ICE, RACSA, and INS), as well as banking (BNCR, BCR, Banco Popular, BANHVI, and INVU). Non-residents may remit funds to Costa Rica without restriction, although different withholding taxes apply for royalties, dividends, professional services, transportation and communication, and reinsurance. 3. No Down Payment Senior homeowners who are interested in home equity loans in Costa Rica have multiple options to choose from. This allows them to find a strategy that best suits their needs and financial goals. They can use the funds to pay off medical bills, finance home renovations or purchase new property. Costa Rica has become a popular market for foreign real estate investors, from large multinational corporations to lone remote workers looking to reduce their overhead costs in a place with close cultural similarities to their own nations. However, recent studies have seen a shift in the demographics of these investors, with younger families investing in real estate in the country. When purchasing land in Costa Rica, make sure to hire a reputable attorney and run a title check on the property. Also, request a certificate of zoning or “uso de suelo” from the engineering department to confirm that your investment is safe and that you have the right to build on the land in accordance with local law. 4. No Interest Charges Costa Rica does not impose any investment screening mechanisms on inbound foreign portfolio investments beyond those applied under anti-money laundering procedures. invu plan de maduración may borrow freely within the domestic market, although the country levies a 15% withholding tax on interest paid to non-tax residents. Local and international investors have flocked to the central American nation, attracted by its well-educated labor force, diversified upper middle-income economy, enviable living conditions, dynamic investment promotion board and attractive free trade zone incentives. The country also boasts a well-established government institutional framework, stable fiscal policy and low levels of corruption. However, the Costa Rican judicial system is backlogged and civil suits often take years to reach a final resolution. In addition, the government is working to accelerate judicial processes through procedural reforms that emphasize oral argument over traditional written submissions. With INVU Mature Plans they build your future with properties. INVU’s Mature Plans are safe options for investing and saving. These plans offer attractive benefits, allowing you to grow your money in no time. They are a long-term investment modality that gives you the opportunity to generate safe and stable profits. An excellent alternative for those looking to invest and save safely in Costa Rica. Ricardo Audino Diaz has more than 30 years of experience with INVU Plans. He has a solid academic background and extensive experience in the financial and real estate fields. He also leads a team made up of highly trained professionals. They are also monitoring the condition of the Upper Macal Watershed through public participation and research, as well as human activity in the reserve, which is the gateway to the Chiquibul National Park and has experienced increased human presence due to the upgrade of the Caracol Road in the area.
Thanks to the endorsement from the Forest Department, which allows FCD to use the building, and the financing from Bull Run Overseas Limited for the refurbishment costs, the refurbished Ranger Outpost is now operational. This building was previously occupied by the British Army Training and Support Unit Belize (BATSUB) and will now serve as the central hub for FCD's monitoring program in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve.

Challenges & Solutions of Studying Abroad
Many people think that going abroad will be as cool as any other type of travel: enjoy, eat and have fun. But studying abroad is not a holiday. This is real life. The cost of dining at restaurants will eventually add up, prolong your sleep during late night class and the overall pace can make you run into ruins. Even if you do well, you will find that studying abroad has its ups and downs, which affect you day by day - sometimes intensifying.
Tumblr media
The Language Barrier
The main problem abroad is the language barrier. Living in a country where no one speaks your language can be very different.
difficulty in communication are a fact of living abroad and making sense of Abroad ' lifestyles. This means that many students studying abroad can feel deserted.
You can let this put pressure on you or you can see it as a learning opportunity.
Cultural Differences
In addition to the ideological barrier, there also be Culture difference. Every country has its own believe  and you may not fit to integrate. This can be especially difficult when you live with roommates. Your roommates' behaviour  may seem strange and nasty, but these behaviours are quite normal in your new home.
You suddenly look up and feel very lonely. You are surrounded by other people and your appearance, your fashion, your inability to communicate in the language of the country or your general appearance is definitely... different. You Never Felt so Uncomfortable before
Finances–Running low on cash
Despite all your efforts to plan, budget, and track your spending throughout the semester, you may have spent too much this one weekend. No one can blame you for managing your double-digit bank account.
Like all students, you will have a hard time controlling your finances from time to time. If you live abroad, it can be difficult to reconcile your living expenses and your study expenses. Worries about your fund  can make you feel lonely or stressed.
Academic Difficulties
Honestly, you might be in trouble when it comes to starting classes at your new college or university. The language barrier itself can contribute to this challenge, as you may be taking your courses in a language you don't even understand until the first word.
Homesickness
We've already mentioned homesickness, but it can be a real problem for many students abroad. You live thousands of miles away from your friends and family, which makes you feel isolated. Universities around the world are facing the problems of students' homesickness, which shows how widespread the problem is.
But then again, feeling at home is perfectly healthy and normal, just don't let it become a crippling part of your experience abroad. Your support network is still there!
Time zone annoyances
Adapting Between two time zones on opposite world can be really frustrating. You have to Very frequently check time is appropriate for each time zone and make a habit of calling early in the morning or late in the evening.
Getting used to currency differences
Getting used to the currency difference is also a difficult process. For example, in Costa Rica, you need to remember that 500 Costa Rican colons is equal to one dollar. And in continental Europe, you have to remember that anything that costs €1 is actually $1.40.
As with most foreign learning challenges, currency differences are something that won't really hurt you if you only stay for a short time, but if you stay at least a semester or longer it's a big deal. have an impact on.
Wanting to stay forever
Now You just Love with the Place – You Love each and everything about that place.. More importantly, you love yourself living here. Fearing the thought of returning home, you feel more confident and confident than ever. As theVery fmous says, every good thing comes  to an end.
Solutions to study abroad challenges
How to Overcome with  Language Barrier During Your Study Abroad
The best thing to do is to practice more before starting your studies. Also, don't feel shy  to ask the locals. They are  eager to help you. ,
We also recommend using some online Platform to Overcoming the language. Duolingo offers a very convenient  language learning program, while Grammerly or similar programs help you translate sentences or check for grammatical errors.
How to Handle Cultural Differences studying Abroad
Try to become familiar with local cultural norms and terminology. If you do not speak the native language of the host country fluently, create a translation dictionary or fill your smartphone with foreign language applications. Search For groups ask for them , About countries
Join Groups  and ask for advice.
Ultimately, you shouldn't let the fear of being insulted or spoken inappropriately deter you from interacting healthfully within the host culture. You will learn with time, and if you are patient with yourself.
How to Handle Finance Challenges studying abroad
•   Keep an eye on scholarships that will help you. There are lots of scholarships opportunities open to international students studying abroad
•   Depending on your study abroad laws, you may be able to work part-time. Try to get a job that you can consolidate into your studies.
•   Prepare your meals instead of buying takeaway food.
•   Save the cash for emergencies, because you'll be happy when an unexpected bill arrives.

Hotel Debuts in Costa Rica: Andaz Peninsula Papagayo
Shark diving without a cage. Sounds insane, right? That’s what I thought too. Turns out sharks aren’t the terrifying monsters we think they are.
But we’ve all seen the movie ‘Jaws’ and Hollywood doesn’t lie. It’s why thousands of people around the world suffer from Selachophobia. Fear of sharks.
But who can blame them? Why on earth would any rational person swim in the ocean
As for those who purposefully seek out the company of sharks they clearly have a death wish. Because shark attacks on humans around the world are exceedingly rare despite popular belief to the contrary.
Seeking The Company Of Sharks
As an adrenaline junkie, my tolerance level these days is high. Luckily Fiji delivered the goods. They have a Shark Reef Marine Reserve located off the coast of the island of Beqa, where you can go swimming with up to 8 species of shark.
Shark Reserve is because of the money flowing in from these dive trips.
To help finance shark research and compensate local villagers for their lost fishing grounds, Beqa Adventure Divers offers scuba diving trips into the marine reserve’s shark-infested waters.
They let you get face-to-face with these underwater killers.
Because shark attacks on humans around the world are exceedingly rare despite popular belief to the contrary.
Shark Attack Odds
They have a Shark Reef Marine Reserve located off the coast of the island of Beqa.
Let’s look at some examples. How likely is a shark attack in the United States? Odds are greater that one of these will happen to you first:
You will die from a dog attack.
You will die from a lightning strike.
You will get killed by bees or wasps.
You will be executed for a crime.
You will be bitten by a human.
You will die falling down in your home.
Dick Cheney will shoot you on a hunting trip.
As for actual death by shark attack, that’s even rarer. Like 1 in 3,748,067 to be exact. You are more likely to die while digging a sand hole on the beach.
So stop digging those stupid things. They’re dangerous!
My First Shark Dive
Knowing these statistics made it a bit easier to join the professionals at Beqa Adventure for my first ever shark dive. They’ve been doing this for over 10 years with no problems.
Beqa Adventure Divers teamed up.
I’ve been scuba diving in caves before, but diving with large Bull and possibly Tiger sharks was a big deal. These massive animals can grow 8 to 15 feet long and weigh hundreds of pounds.
Both have a history (however rare) of attacks on humans. But, as I’ve learned over & over again on my travels, breaking out of your comfort zone is a healthy thing to do.
Now if you didn’t already know, feeding sharks like this is a bit controversial. Some say that it trains them to associate humans with food, increasing the odds of an attack.
These diving trips pour much needed money into shark conservation & research projects. Without that money, shark populations around the world will continue to rapidly decline. If dive operators don’t pay to help save the sharks, who will? You? The government?
That’s wishful thinking in my opinion. It won’t happen.
The ONLY reason marine life is protected at Fiji’s Shark Reserve is because of the money flowing in from these dive trips. Beqa Adventure Divers teamed up with local villages to ban all fishing here in 2004. The result? A once dying reef is thriving and full of life again.

fines for too much clean energy, even though it's not even 10% of our total grid electricity profile; Costa Rica is totaly renewable and we are fining and penalizing what little solar we have.
It's as if their hyperexpensive toll bridge long-con designed to finance all road construction and maintenance has gone horribly awry, and now they just wanna charge an electric vehicle tax to help pay for the roads and bridges we all use; same exact logic below as the CPUC tries to stab their constituents in the back and take California back to the 1900s in terms of energy policy
...isn't a new clean energy tax is just what we need, according to the gullible, conned out CPUC, clearly an income based grid maintenance fee for each meter would be way too fair to consider. instead they propose a basic harvesting of clean energy blood
the energy monopoly admits it is a tax on poor people, literally gaslighting us when they accuse solar of being that, but poor people basically pay the same as the rich, so guess what it's a tax on the poor. Solar energy gives the utility benefits from being able to meet daily electricity demand, like to run air conditioners, more easily, with solar, and this grid that we all use that is failing and causing trillion dollar fires that could be mitigated greatly by the same technology we are not giving a dime to help finance (home battery backups; yet when a homeowner has a battery and solar why would they even want to associate or give a cent to the utility monopoly?) the grid we all use, they're just going to make solar customers pay any direct fee to maintain that whole grid, everyone else gets free access and the right to buy price inflated energy, that again is price inflated to in theory finance the whole grid anyway; so they are basically fighting over whether they cut their shit pizza as a pie or in squares but either way it's shit pizza and they need to do better. What the utility won't say is that they need to charge a grid maintenance fee to all customers one way or another, and the fairest way to do that is as an income-based flat fee; yet these proud dirty energy monopolists want to blame solar every time they stub their toe

Dominical - February 4th
I peddled past familiar shops and cafes down to the ocean. Immediately feeling the comfort and tranquility of one of my favorite places to be. Dominical is a beach town i used to visit on weekend trips from a farm in the mountains of San Isidro that i used to stay at. Some of my favorite memories were made on this beach. Something about it feels like im home again.
Tumblr media
In 2019 i met this couple in Dominical who crafts incredible organic jewelry inspired by the earth & the indigenous people of Peru. I bought a necklace from them, and wore it every day for years until one day not too long ago it busted. Things crumble so that new forms can take over. After my swim i rode through the street & recognized the couple and their crafts. I was incredibly excited to find them here again. I spoke with them for a long time about indigenous teachings, epic adventures, and the art they create together. Their english is better than before, and so is my spanish. I found a piece that i really loved. A sliced nut native to costa rica that is incredibly strong, inlaid with stones of Peru. They were so pleased that i returned at perfect timing to receive another powerful craft from them. I ran to the ocean to bless this necklace with the sea.
Tumblr media
I ran to the lifeguard tower and yelled for a friend who i met here a few years ago. A head popped out and instantly we were excited & surprised to see each other again. Benny & his brother Juan Carlos were born in Dominical and spent their life here surfing, lifeguarding, and working in the tourism industry. When i met them a couple years ago we became friends & had so much fun dancing at the rum bar. Benny called his brother, and 5 minutes later Jaun Carlos shows up on a bike with hilarious flip up sunglasses making all sorts of hoots and hollars.
We walked down to the estuary and went fishing. I still had no luck. I’ve learned that if i dont want to carry anything, go fishing. If i want to carry more things, look for rocks and shells! I’ve added some serious weight to my pack with all that i have collected. The rest of the day i slack lined on the beach, drank fresh coconut water, and explored places and memories of the past. Today was emotional for me. Lots of laughing, tears, and apologies. I spent a lot of the day sitting with my emotions and reflecting. The ocean has a lot to say. I decided to continue my journey and leave this place of magic behind. Back to the mountains i go.

I caught the last bus of the evening to San Isidro with Bikey. I was advised to not bike the road leaving dominical because of the traffic on the tight winding road. It was a short bus ride, and i was ready to be in the mountains. I got to San Isidro just after dark & rode a few miles to an old friend of mine’s apartment. My pal Jerry is someone i met on a farm in Costa Rica who holds a wealth of knowledge & a willingness to share. We stayed up late discussing finance, farming, and just goofing. Jerry taught me something very valuable that night that will stick with me forever. He has been teaching me about this strategy with investing called compounding interest. The way i understand the concept is that when you make an investment you should receive interest on that investment that continously compounds in return. He looked me in the eyes as a man with over 50 years of experiencing the highs and lows, twists and turns, the gains and the losses. He said this, Jeremy, if there is any advice i could ever give you. It is to figure out what it is that brings you happiness and joy. Then ask yourself, does this also bring others joy? Or is it limited to you? By always focusing on making only yourself happy, the radius of joy that spreads is minimal. It gains no interest. By doing something that not only brings you joy, but also to others, the expansion of that joy is infinite. Like compounding interest, when you invest your life into the things that give back, your growth will forever expand. Thank you Jerry, i really needed this. Tomorrow i ride south through the mountains towards San Vito. Only a Few good days of riding before i make it to the farm. Feeling all sorts of excitement.
