#I still don't think int friendlies is a good idea

Hallo Leslie!! I finally had a free brain moment to look through your prompt ideas, and if you’re still open to requests, how about # 61 + 90 from the second list?
Hope your week is off to a good start!
A/N: I'm so sorry these prompts took 800 years to get written, but here we are. This one may or may not be inspired by Wait (it 100% is inspired by Wait). Enjoy!!
Tumblr media
Please Don't Tell Me Wait
Pairing: Dino x Reader Genre: idiots to lovers, friends to lovers Rating: PG (because of the kissing ig?) Word Count: 2.3k Request Prompt: "you can tell me anything." Warnings: kissing, Lee Chan as a general warning
Tumblr media
YN: I’ll kill you, Boo Seungkwan. I will
Boo: why? 😇
YN: What could possibly be so important that you ‘suddenly’ need to go to the mall all the way across town immediately, bring Vernon, Soonyoung and Mingyu with you, and cancel on movie night?? When Chan is already almost here?
Boo: giving you and Channie some alone time 🙂
You gape down at your phone.
YN: you’re shameless. Evil and vile. Canceled.
Boo: I think you misspelled thank you?
Your next raging text is lost mid-type as your doorbell rings, and you straighten up in your seat. You have a quick internal debate with yourself about whether or not you should answer, but then you think about how sad Lee Chan would be if you didn’t open the door, and you find yourself moving without any more thought. Whipped, comes the unhelpful thought.
As soon as you open the door, you feel like you’ve been punched in the gut. Your breath catches just at the sight of him, wearing his favourite grey hoodie and a smile, and you don’t think you’ve ever seen anyone more breathtaking in your life. “Hi,” he says, and you want so badly to ignore the way everything around you feels a little bit brighter just at the sound of his voice. You are in so deep.
You let him in and he quickly makes himself at home. It isn’t the first time your friends have plotted to get the two of you alone, but it is the first time it’s been in such an intimate setting. Chan’s been over to your place so many times before, but always with one of the boys in tow. You hate how nervous you feel.
You’re nervous because you like him. When Seungkwan found out last month, pretty soon everyone within earshot knew, too. Somehow – and you thanked the stars for this – Chan didn’t seem to have a clue.
One thing about your friend Chan: he was pretty oblivious, for the most part. You knew so many people who would kill for a chance with him, but he didn’t seem to notice or even care. He flirted with you – that much was clear. You weren’t naive. But he’d never once seemed to mean anything more than friendly banter, because that’s just who he is, so here you were. Pining unrequitedly after one of your friends, with your other friends desperately trying to push the two of you together. It was frustrating at best.
You can make it through this night. You always have fun with Chan, and talking to him is easy enough when you aren't thinking too much. You have similar taste in movies and snacks, he’s funny, he's a good listener… the list is endless. You like being around him. You can do this.
You manage to act relatively normal as the two of you get settled for the movie, even as Chan makes a joke about the guys ditching, even as you almost physically jump back when he hands you the popcorn bowl to carry into the living room, and your fingers brush. You’re fine, up until the moment you’re sitting on your couch with snacks at the ready, a semi-breathable distance between the two of you, and he decides to speak up.
“Can I tell you something?”
“You can tell me anything.” You answer without hesitation, because it’s true.
“Well…” He pauses, and you meet his gaze with a raised eyebrow when he doesn’t continue. As soon as your eyes are on him and away from the TV, his lips turn upward and he says, “I think you look really pretty tonight.”
Your eyes widen, and you nearly drop the remote. You watch as the corner of his mouth lifts up even further into a smile, and you can tell he’s pleased with himself. He raises his eyebrows, waiting for a response, but you don’t have one. Your mind wants to ask it, wants desperately to just blurt out the question — is this a date? Are we on a fucking date right now? — but you refrain.
“Chan,” is what you say instead, with a roll of your eyes as you hold out the remote for him to take. You know the effect his words have had on you is obvious with the way you’re reacting, but you can only pray that he doesn’t comment on it. “Just pick a movie.”
You would almost think he meant his words if he’d ever actually tried to take his flirtatious remarks any deeper, but he never does. It’s been months of this. It’s not that he’s mean, you know he’s not — you just think he doesn’t have a clue that you might actually like him.
“I mean what I said.”
You’re startled from your thoughts when Chan speaks again, and you realize that he definitely hasn’t moved to take the remote from your outstretched hand. He hasn’t taken his eyes off of you, either.
You slowly lower the remote back down to your lap. “Have you been taking lessons from Mingyu again on how to flirt?”
You watch as he leans forward slightly, that stupid, soft, teasing smile on his mouth yet again, and he asks, “Why, are they finally starting to work on you?”
You blink, staring back at him as all thoughts swiftly leave you. Your breath catches as his eyes wander across your face, and your own gaze can’t help but find his mouth.
“Maybe,” is what comes out before you can stop it.
Chan seems surprised for a second too, before he rights himself again. “Well,” he says slowly, “like I said... I meant every single word.”
His fingers gently pry the remote from your hand, eyes never leaving yours. He moves closer and closer, judging your every reaction, watching for any hesitation. He finds none. You let him draw you in, your back falling against the armrest and then he’s above you, his hands braced on the couch on either side. He’s gazing down at you so intently that you think you forget how to breathe.
“How do I know that you mean it?” Your voice is quiet, uncertain. You know that you want this, that you want him, but you’re terrified that he doesn’t mean it in the same way as you.
“I can show you,” he returns, as serious as you’ve ever seen him, and you can’t stop your gaze from falling to his mouth. He takes that as a sign. And when he leans down, nose gently brushing against yours as he waits for permission, it’s you that closes the gap first.
You kiss him, soft and hesitant. He responds almost immediately, pushing back against your mouth, a hum coming from somewhere deep in his chest. Like he’s been waiting. The thought makes your toes curl. Your hands find his waist, pulling him down to you as far as he can go, and you can feel him laugh against your mouth before he’s kissing you again, over and over, until you can’t think or feel anything but him.
You’ve never been kissed like this.
He breaks the kiss first, his forehead falling to yours as he catches his breath. You’re both silent for a moment as you process, and you can feel your heart pounding against your ribcage.
“Chan,” you finally say, voice quiet, your grip on the back of his shirt tightening.
“Yeah?” He mirrors your hushed tone, pulling away so he can look at you. He sounds breathless, and it makes you feel even dizzier.
“I…” You trail off. You squeeze your eyes shut in a feeble attempt to lessen the effect of his gaze on you like this, but it’s futile. The look on his face, the one that you’d sworn to yourself all these months meant nothing, is permanently etched into the back of your eyelids now.
He doesn’t move at all as he waits, giving you time. The heat of him so close, his entire body pressed to yours, is so intimate, so overwhelming. You can feel him everywhere, can feel every breath he takes, and you wonder if he can feel your heart ready to burst out of your chest.
“Chan,” you finally speak again, voice barely a whisper. “If you don’t…”
His eyebrows furrow; you can tell he wants to speak, but he doesn’t.
“If you don’t mean this,” you try again, your eyes still squeezed shut. “If this isn’t serious for you, then I can’t do it. I’m sorry.”
It’s silent, and your heart slowly sinks into the couch beneath you.
Then he’s gently pushing himself off of and away from you. The feeling of disappointment quickly claws its way up into your throat, robbing the air from your lungs along the way. You sit up too, keeping as much distance between you as possible. Your eyes stay trained on your hands in your lap — you can’t look at him for even a second.
“Y/N.”
You feel your eyes begin to water in spite of yourself. Stop, stop, stop.
“Y/N,” he repeats, voice soft, “I need you to look at me.”
You take a deep breath, feeling your lower lip quiver. You steady yourself before meeting his eyes, straightening your shoulders.
“Do you really not know how much I like you?”
You weren’t expecting that. The question hangs in the air as you blink back at him. “You—“
“I’ve liked you for so long… since that night when you were the only one who laughed at my joke at Soonyoung’s party.”
Your mouth falls open as you think back to that night — you know the very one. The same night that you finally learned his name — the name of the cute new guy your friends had been bringing around. That was ages ago.
“Oh.”
A few more beats of silence pass by until he speaks again.
“How could you possibly think I’m not into you? I don’t think I’ve ever been more obvious about something in my life.” He laughs nervously, running a hand through his hair.
Your heart is beating triple time as you search for your words. “We’ve known each other for six months, and you never said anything.”
“Neither did you.” He raises his eyebrows in a challenge, daring you to disagree with him, but the smile on his lips gives him away.
“You have so many friends,” you say quietly after a moment, and you watch as Chan’s face softens. “I just assumed you treated them the same way you treat me.”
“I don’t,” he says softly, “but I can see why you might have thought that.”
“So many people flirt with you. All the time.” You don’t know why you’re continuing to state these things — you blame it on the fact that you absolutely cannot process that he just told you he likes you — but Chan just takes your words as they come.
“I barely notice… especially when you’re there.” He bites his lip, tilting his head as he looks at you. “And people flirt with you too, you know.”
You let out a laugh at that, looking down at your hands. “I know.”
“But you didn’t know that I was flirting with you?” Chan asks incredulously, throwing his head back with a groan. You can tell he’s joking, and you can’t help the smile that passes over your lips now, too.
“I did know,” you offer, and Chan sits up straight to look at you again. You continue before he can protest. “But I didn’t know if it was serious for you. And for me…” You stop yourself before you admit what you were about to, feeling your cheeks flush.
For me, it’s serious.
“For you?” He prompts you to go on, and you can tell he’s trying desperately to hold back a grin, because he knows exactly what you were going to say. You let out a whine.
“Stop.”
He laughs. Then your heart leaps into your throat once more, because he’s reaching across the distance between you, finding your hand and pulling it back into his lap. “I’ll say it loud and clear so there are no misunderstandings,” he begins, thumb tracing lazy lines on the back of your hand, “I like you… seriously.”
You know he’s teasing you again, but you can’t find it in you to care when you know he’s being honest. Your eyes fall to your entwined hands, mesmerized by his gentle movements against your skin, your heart near ready to jump out of your chest at the softness of it all.
“So…”
You look back up to find him bashful as he speaks, and it’s his turn to avoid your eyes as he chews on his lower lip. You suddenly realize what you think he’s waiting for, and you smile.
“I like you a lot too,” you say, and when his gaze snaps to yours, you know you’ve said what he needed to hear. He smiles then, cheeks flushed and happy, and you’re enthralled by how shy he’s being when he had just been kissing you into oblivion moments prior.
“Good.”
You beam at him, and he beams back, before he’s pulling you closer by your joined hands and into a hug. You curl up into his side, your head finding a place in the crook of his neck.
“Y/N?” You glance up, heart stuttering a bit at the sight of him so close as you wait for him to continue. “For the record, in case you were still worried – I absolutely do not spend time with anyone else trying to ignore the way their lips move when they talk. That’s Y/N privilege.”
“Not even Soonyoung?”
He’s kissing you almost before you get the teasing words out.

pls pls ghoul, i need to know…what are ghost’s, soap’s, and gaz’ reaction to price “flirting” with the married duck?
At that point in time, Soap knows Duck and Goose so he gets word about it and immediately goes to find Price to laugh at him about it. "Getting shot down by your wife has'ta hurt." All smiles. Really it's great to keep that secret when it makes shit like this funny. He probably calls Goose and tells her about Price's new homewrecker reputation. They both have a good laugh about it.
Gaz, I always think Gaz knew Price was married before he started working on the ranch. It was one of those secrets that gets shared when you don't think you're going to make it out. Price made him promise to find Duck if he anything happened, but when they both made it out Gaz was sworn to secrecy(and like the good sergeant he is he fully planned on taking that to the grave for his captain). So when he hears Price is flirting with a married woman he runs some quick calculations and assumes it's his wife. Then goes "OH SHIT THE WIFE" and races to meet Duck. Which also earns Gaz a reputation for chasing married women.
Which leaves us with Ghost, Price's most loyal dog, and the most important man for Duck to meet as her future son-in-law. I personally think the idea that he unknowingly had any interactions with Duck or made any comments about Price's family is really funny.
It's hard to stop the sigh the leaves him as Ghost steps foot off the helo and into camp. Fucking desert ops. He'd kill for a half decent shower. Still, it's home enough to let him roll his shoulders back into place. The tension in his back won't leave until he's dead in the ground, but at least he'll be able to sleep on a cot and not a bedroll. He trails behind the other soldiers that pile out to hustle to camp, scanning the horizon beyond the tents.
Hell of a lot of doctors runnin' around here, he could see the red cross on their backs from a mile away. Bunch of targets if you ask him.
Ghost breaks off from the rest of the crowd and makes his way to the Captain's tent. The rest of the troop can get cleaned up, his first priority is getting Price the intel he asked for. He pushes back the tent flap and stops short at the red cross and white coat. It's not unheard of for the red cross to come by the camp to request aid or supplies, but it's unusual. Whatever argument had been happening quiets as soon as he steps into the tent.
There's a silent spark of recognition in the doctor's eyes, one that makes Ghost frown. Does he know this woman? He's sure he doesn't.
"I'll be back," the doctor warns Price, her accent is soft, lilting, southern US if Ghost had to guess.
"I'm countin' on it," Price replies, a little too genuinely for Ghost's liking. The doctor nods and gives Ghost a friendly smile before brushing past him. Not many lookers like that around camp, Ghost doesn't bother hiding the way his gaze follows the woman as she leaves.
"She's pretty," Ghost hums, staring after the doctor.
"Married too," Price tells him without looking up from the map on the table. Ghost nods any interest he'd had gone with that comment.
"She got a sister?" Ghost jokes, wandering towards the table to start marking points of interest.
"She's got a brother." Price huffs, annoyed with this line of questioning. Interesting.
"Cowboy's not my type," Ghost takes the offered pen from his captain, leaning to circle a few squares on the grid. Potential entry points he'd spotted from the helo, or lifted from the shreds they'd found at the base his team had raided. "Any particular reason you know so much about a married woman?" He prods.
Price stays silent. It's better than being lied to. They both know Ghost will keep quiet no matter how he answers, but lies aren't something that passes easily between them. It's better to be quiet than truthful sometimes. Ghost nods once, short, without looking up from his work. It's none of his business who the captain has an affection for, as long as it doesn't interfere with his work.
He bumps into the doctor again around camp. She seems to have made herself comfortable, more at home around the soldiers than any of the other red cross folks. Ghost gives her a polite nod and tries to step around her. She catches his arm, and drops it just as quickly.
"Lt. Riley," She starts.
"Ghost is fine," better to be informal with civilians, makes them more comfortable.
"Ghost," She smiles, "You haven't stopped by for your physical."
"Don't need one." He replies, gruff, hopefully enough to drop the subject. He does his best to look down his nose at the woman, to glare and intimidate. It's the easiest way he's found to interact with medical professionals. Most military doctors find it easier to let him deal with whatever is bothering him than try to wrestle compliance out of him.
Half an hour late he's sat on a cot in the medical tent in just his shorts and mask while the doctor jots down figures onto a chart. He's not entirely sure how she got him in here. Fuck he hates doctors. At least there's been minimal poking and prodding, nothing past the required. She hadn't mentioned any of the more alarming scars, hadn't tried to get his balaclava off, didn't shine a light in his eyes, hell she hadn't hit him with any of his usual triggers.
Suspicious.
"Everything looks good," The doctor hums, "Anything you're concerned about and want to share?"
"No," Ghost tells her shortly. Even if there was he'd be a fool to tell. A medical discharge is the last thing he needs.
"Figured," She nods like she understands, and sets her chart down to dig through her pockets. The doctor holds out a golden candy on a short white stick. Ghost eyes it suspiciously, tugging his tee back over his shoulders. "I have a daughter around your age," The doctor supplies, "She still insists on getting a sucker after exams, thought you might appreciate one too."
After a moment Ghost takes the offered sucker, pulling his fatigues back on. He ignores the friendly good-bye the doctor offers him in favor of unwrapping the candy. A daughter, huh. Christ, Price sure knows how to pick 'em. Flirting with a married mother, what a recipe for disaster.

All My Tarnished In Elden Ring
2 of you said do it so I'm doing it lmao
My first character is Ari, they were my very first character and are currently my "main" character. They started out as a raw Strength Claymore-only build and just kinda stayed that way until after I'd beaten the final boss. My original intent was to have them do the rad Carian Sword stuff as a sort of spellsword/battlemage thing, and while they can do that now, I just kinda waited a little too long to spec them into INT so now they're just a friendly summon who's a tanky sword-wielding sword mage who can deal a casual 7453 damage with Carian Grandeur under the right circumstances (As for weapons since they're my Main character I've got a bunch of random shit I've leveled for hyper specific situations, but Claymore is still, as always, Old Reliable for them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My second character is one named Bryndegaard, she's a VERY heavy Strength/Faith build that I like, accidentally made good lmao Turns out guard counters with the Great Mace do a lot of stance damage Her shield doesn't have an Ash of War on it, and her mace has Prayerful Strike, so even if someone does manage to hit her through it, her vigor is so good and Prayerful Strike is so strong that the damage is usually pretty negligible. She's my tank/healer build first and foremost, but I also have the Envoy's Longhorn levelled up for her just in case I need to absolutely decimate a large boss like Placidusax or Astel. The Longhorn also worked surprisingly well against Elden Beast, as turns out its 80% Holy Damage negation doesn't mean much if you output too much damage for it to matter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My third character's named Edge, Lord He was supposed to be my Spooky Scary Death Mage but tbh I haven't touched him in a while so right now he's just a really unoptimized scythe guy with like, Rancorcall and that's it. I tried to make him look like a black metal musician and I think I did really well, but he also looks so angy it's really funny to me fhdjksahfkxz
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fourth character is Vlad, he's my funny little Dracula Boy. He's not very good but I love him nonetheless. He's built around claws, bleed, and Lifesteal Fist, which I'm very glad was recently buffed because man, this guy was not great to play before that lmao Also I love how tiny his head looks with that cape it's really funny to me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5th character is Guano Gobbler. Very original. Do Not Steal. Idk man I wanted to get the Dung Eater ending at least once, and idk I didn't want to get it on anyone else. I did use the Dung Eater's facial presets for him, I just thought it'd be funny to make him bald too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6th character is the lovely Cap'n Rumguzzler. My entire thought process behind him was 'want pirate' and then I made one. I have no idea what build I was gonna make with him and as a result he fucking sucks but I love him anyway. He also has a cannon hidden in his back pocket or something (I am aware what his name is one letter away from, that just straight-up did not occur to me at all when I was first naming him)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7th character is my Gravity Boy, I don't like his name so you don't get to know it. I've decided he's not going to progress past Maliketh because I still want at least one character I can co-op with in Leyndel. He's exactly what he says on the tin, he's got a Zweihander with Waves of Darkness and he's got a bunch of gravity spells. Not much else to say tbh aside from that I really like how the purple of the gravity magic goes with his All Black Everything look tbh. It's just very aesthetically pleasing to me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8th character is The Legend Herself, 4PattyCheeseBurg. She's built with the express purpose of having the highest possible health achievable in game. Her first 85 levels were all in Vigor (She started out with 14). She only uses the Star Fist. Red Sun gets stuck in my head every time I play her. She's somehow the strongest character I've ever had for Colosseum battles. I've made people just straight-up avoid her completely for entire matches. Demigods fall before her. The earth itself shatters at her victories. She's so fun to play I love her
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her health bar looks like this btw.
Tumblr media
9th character is, regrettably, RudolphReindeer. My friend wanted to do a funny holiday-themed run and he'd already claimed Santa, so this is the best I could come up with. You don't get to see his face up close because I hate it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10th is my sleep build, Eurythmics (Because, y'know, Sweet Dreams) idk what else to say about them aside from that they're here, they do sleep, I don't know what to do for their fashion, and they're Not Very Good
Tumblr media Tumblr media
11th character is just this one, I've named her Sellsword because idk what else to do with her She's a Quality/Quality-Mage build and I just kinda use her for testing out all sorts of wacky shit trying to wrangle huge damage and big AoE's (Fun Fact: Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker is buffed by the Highland Axe, and the buff stacks if you have a second one, but for some reason it is not buffed by the Roar Talisman) I like making her dual wield stuff also
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the 12th (last) character is this one, She's a Quality build with a bit of arcane. With her I typically use either the Claymore, Marais Sword, or Eleonora's twinblade, and the Dragon Communion Seal in her off hand. Her damage is surprisingly good for me barely playing up her bleed potential, and for some reason she tends to get summoned by randos way more than my other builds, couldn't possibly imagine why She's in the Hoslow set here, but sometimes I switch it up and put her in the Briar armor (With the Vagabond legs/arms) instead. idk just kinda depends on mood but I think the Hoslow chest's red bits compliment her eyes idk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's it, that's all of them minus a few I started, got like 5 feet from Limgrave, and haven't touched since
Elden Ring 10/10 game, absolutely consumed my life 👍

Hey Kynim, what reason could the Church of Seiros, the Central Church, to interfere with more positive relations with the outside world? Do they fear that different religions could make their role less important and eventually make them bo longer in control of Fódlan or even the most wierd idea; that new branches of the Seiros religion would develop in other countries like Almyra. The last one is a funny idea, but what is your idea on why they this is the case?
Gonna put this under the cut bc it got a bit long ;w;
FYI: I do not really enjoy FE3H/FEW3H discourse but I know topics like this will probably attract that sort of crowd. My bias is for Claude/Leicester/Golden Deer, and this includes the "dreaded" GW!Claude that people dislike. 3Hopes despite all the flaws in narrative I love over 3Houses in general. The other factions/lords, while interesting, I am not as invested. So please don't label me as some apologist for anyone that isn't my stated bias.
BTW my answer to this ask will focus more on Seiros/Rhea so don't expect much Claude in this lol
In theory, I think the Church of Seiros would be ok with being friendly with the outside world. But the issue lies in Seiros/Rhea's priority of self-preserving 1) the remaining Nabateans and 2) the following that Sothis had with humans. And given how the Nabateans were nearly driven to extinction by Nemesis, I feel like Seiros/Rhea has a deep-seated suspicion of humans despite her image as the best holy woman since the goddess herself.
For her, the only way to prevent humans from causing another massacre is to make the current humans in Fodlan to believe in the goddess Sothis and never question her tenets. This meant hindering/banning things that could potentionally "reduce faith" in the goddess as mentioned by the Abyss text "The Encyclopedia of Fodlan's Insects" which you can read here. The title may be misleading but you can see some of the odd examples of Church banning things to maintain "peace" via preventing humans from questioning their religion with devices like telescopes, autopsy, and the like. We also see in GW that technology at least Almyra is far advanced compared to Fodlan, as seen here:
Tumblr media
So it seems that Fodlan is an isolated area for Seiros/Rhea to feel safe over trying to spread its influence. It is important to note that the Seiros Church is a shelter for the archbishop. Keeping the area that houses her shelter safe is what she wants the most, which stated rather clearly in both games. Given that her first time she had to deal with the non-believers of Sothis ended in an extremely traumatic event, you can see why Seiros/Rhea is hesitant to reach out.
"But wait," you might say. "All these foreign nations seem to be intent on attacking Fodlan so they are a victim! Who wouldn't want to isolate themselves and distrust outsiders knowing that?"
The game unfortunately only shows the Fodlan point-of-view when it comes of past events...so it might seem that way at first. But it is also interesting how Fodlan despite being a "victim" of all these attacks, usually come out on top and end up subjugating/annexing nations, even claiming their superiority over them by calling their "foreign" neighbors as monster and savages. Given how Fodlan is sort of a loose parallel of Europe and how Eurocentric certain historical events are in academic books...I just don't personally buy Fodlan being completely innocent.
While Seiros/Rhea may not have actively supported these wars/conflicts in Fodlan, she still is their symbol whether she wants to be or not.Given how long her reign has been (either as Rhea or some other alias being archibishop), this weighted reputation precedes her. Yes, the game shows she isn't a cartoon villain and can do good. Her devout followers see it and fight for her.
Tumblr media
While the game sucks at showing this, it is clear her long leadership is not perfect and has become stagnant, letting the nations abuse the system she had initially laid out (probably with good intentions?).  Insert joke of Rhea being the late Queen Elizabeth here.
3Hopes glosses over this but in 3Houses we see her multiple times using the Church’s influence to do take action on things, like suppressing rebellions and ousting bandits (see: White Cloud events). Still, most of these are used to protect her establishment and the order she set for the continent. Other social matters, Rhea does not really do anything unless she herself is threatened. So people like Edelgard felt justified in waging her war to just...uproot all of that obsolete system to reset everything.
Is that a great idea? I am not really sure, but it did make for two fun FE games lol.

hi!! if you dont mind me asking, how did you manage to end up teaching in japan?? ive been researching but info online is so extense and overwhelming and i never have good answers....
hello!! first of all i wanna say i understand the stress - i applied to j/et first and was going to work on backups like int/erac and private hiring if that didn't work out and i'm always thankful that i didn't have to. honestly now that i'm here it feels funny that i stressed out so much during the application process bc i always find myself thinking "damn they'll let anyone in" (often about myself lmao). it can be really odd and unexplainable who j/et does and doesn't take but japan needs a lot of ALTs to keep the system going so if you've got the enthusiasm for it there's definitely a place for you!!
i would definitely recommend trying for j/et and int/erac first before worrying about the other options!! since j/et has the biggest reputation ofc there's the double-edged sword of it feeling the most prestigious and hard to get into but again they do hire a ton of candidates every year, plus it has the highest guaranteed pay and takes care of so much for you pre-departure. idk where you're at in life/when you'd plan on applying but if you wanna start the job as soon as possible, int/erac has pretty much a rolling application and their main recruiting cycle is for spring departures (while j/et won't start recruiting again til october, for departure in summer 2025). int/erac gives you a little less pay and a little less initial help, but it's still very reputable. int/erac ALTs also have a few more freedoms once you're in japan bc i believe int/erac has your school hire you directly intead of employing you to your city's board of education. so for example my BoO doesn't let ALTs commute by car, but int/erac ALTs and private hires don't have that restriction. knock on wood, if neither of those work out, there are lots of sites like gaijinpot posting private hire opportunities. i don't know about the competitiveness of those and they do often require you to sort out visa application or housing on your own, but opportunity is always out there! seriously though i wouldn't worry about that at first. that's the backup plan ace up your sleeve
in terms of what you can do to raise your chances of getting hired, again, i think the enthusiasm is the key!! people say the j/et interview is a glorified vibe check bc they've been known to reject people who sometimes seem overqualified for the position (maybe for good reason - the amount of responsibility you get and teaching you get to do is suuuuper variable and dependent on your school, and probably about ~1/3 of my work days every year i have no classes and little relevant work to do, if any). i don't have a background or certification in teaching but i did a lot of tutoring in college and minored in japanese so i had a lot to say about my passion for language education. i know j/et really loves the angle of "what will you get out of the position, and what will you give back" - i can tell you're excited about the idea of teaching in japan so i'm sure you already have your answers!! if you have hobbies related to japan it's good to explain how being in japan would help you continue them. or you can always research what you could do with your non-japan related hobbies in japan! i love cooking and i started taking classes at a chain studio that does a mix of japanese and worldwide cooking. again i know the hit-or-miss element of it is scary but really they just want friendly open-minded people who can share their culture, have enthusiasm about education and exchange, don't mind the hours/job restrictions, and are down to pack their bags and live in japan. if you have any other questions please ask!! i know this is random but i've helped a couple of friends with their applications so if you do want some extra eyes on a statement of purpose my inbox is always open!! cheering for you!! 🎉🎉
#seriously i got. so so stressed out during the whole application process. and nothing any of my friends could say abt how i#seemed perfectly qualified could help#i really do understand the position you're in#but seriously the job is so much lower stakes than i thought intiially and a lot of the reason i say that is because of how little#responsibility i get#i love my school and my teachers are really receptive to my ideas#but basically once you're here all the meaning's gotta come from you#the dreaded Every Situation Is Different applies ofc#but at my school i don't get directly asked for activities much and get told i don't have to come to class pretty often#so if i'm not taking the initiative and making stuff myself or going to talk to the students myself it can be very easy to just coast#which i think a lot of people do. which i can't blame anyone for because 1) i know people who are physically in the classroom less than#8 hours a week#disregarding if they're given an active role in those lessons or if they're just asked to read vocab#and 2) i also don't use all of my downtime on work-related tasks and i honestly find it hard to imagine how i could#i'm just getting into my thoughts about my job now which is something i could talk about for hours and hours#trust me i do really love being here and i actually like that i have to challenge myself to speak up and carve out my place#i'll cut myself off there because i have too many thoughts#but genuinely good luck!! you can do it!!#asks

⚝───⭒─ 30 DAY HC’S | ZEUS ─⭒───⚝
ZEUS | lightly tanned skin. messy, wavy blonde hair that cuts at his shoulder blades. a flick of his hair at the front resembles a lightning bolt, and falls against the right-side of his face, while the rest of his hair is half tied up. he has a short goatee. sky-blue eyes. chiselled cheekbones and a jawline. an average height with a muscular build. a mischievous, trouble-making grin with a wink that lets you know he's up to no good.
┍━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☟━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┑
aight, let me first begin by saying that i always used to hate Zeus. i thought he was the lowest of the low- a bad king, a worse father, and let's not even talk about him as a husband. however, somewhere along the line, i had a change of heart, and i began to form in my head a different version of Zeus, a side of him that sometimes doesn't get represented very well in the myths, but can be pieced together from them. i don't think i've written anywhere my hc's for my idea of him, so i'm excited to write it here :D
ok, let's start at the beginning. we're all familiar with Zeus' important role in the Titanomachy, and how he was saved by Rhea from Kronos by being substituted with a stone, and then raised in secret by Amalthea.
personally, i love the idea that Rhea never had any contact at all with Zeus from the time he was born to when Zeus finally overthrew Kronos- i like the idea that Zeus was so top-secret, so confidential, that Rhea didn't want to risk being found out, so she simply never visited Zeus as a child. it's not that she didn't want to see him, it's just that she couldn't.
i've seen a few posts where people suggest that Zeus may have (unwittingly) been treated as Rhea's favourite child because he had the closest relationship with her, but in my hc, Zeus is on almost the same page as the rest of his siblings as a result of my previous point. his real relationship with his mother begins when the rest of his siblings are freed, because it's the first time that Kronos is actually out of the way and they can all just be themselves.
in any case, i like the idea that, being raised by nymphs and dryads and what not, Zeus had never met Rhea. he'd heard a lot of stories about her, and about her bravery, but he only knew her from those tales.
until, many many years later, when it's almost time to defeat Kronos, Rhea finally goes to meet Zeus... and i think it's a pretty emotional scene because it's the first time he's ever met his mother, and he's constantly asking himself, "Am I good enough? Can I do this thing that everyone's expecting of me?"
i like the idea of Zeus having a tough, playful exterior, but on the inside, he's more serious, and mature.
when Zeus does become king, my hc is that he's still too young and inexperienced to rule by himself, so Rhea takes charge of the whole thing and directs him from behind-the-scenes until he's old enough and wise enough to rule on his own.
about Zeus' personality- i hc him to be very approachable, and friendly. he can act like a goofball, but he's also very smart. i can't imagine him as someone overly arrogant- i think he's very confident in himself, and sometimes a little boastful, but he's not rude, and he doesn't put others down in order to lift himself up.
i also think that he greatly values order. he doesn't appreciate people taking advantage of him, or people who lie and cheat for their own gain.
and in this regard, i do think that Zeus is actually a fairly wise and good king. i think he's good at giving advice (not romantic advice LOL, but advice in general) and he's good at acting as a mediator.
i also hc him to be someone who always first sees the positives about people. he tries to look for the better things about them, rather than the negatives.
also, i think that, while Zeus can't be bought with flattery and bribery, i think he does appreciate it when people make a genuine effort to correct their ways after insulting him. i think he has a certain amount of patience for those kinds of things.
now, let's get into the most defining aspect of Zeus' whole character; his love life.
according to the myths, Metis was Zeus' first wife, and in my hc, his first real love.
i've already mentioned before my idea that, during the titanomachy, there was a band of titans, led by Prometheus, who got together to help Zeus, and my hc is that Metis was a prominent member of this little resistance.
in fact, i love the idea of Metis being the one who would spar with Zeus and train him in the days leading up to his battle with Kronos.
this isn't to say that Metis was his first gf or anything- i think that Zeus has always been a little bit of a player. that's just how he is. but i think Metis was the first goddess with whom he ever made a real connection with. she was the first goddess who made him feel understood and loved for just being Zeus.
and when he was with Zeus, i don't think he ever imagined that there would be anyone else after Metis. he thought that she was the endgame, his queen forever.
when Metis becomes pregnant after the titanomachy, i think Zeus was incredibly excited. i don't think Zeus had had children before this.
however, eventually Metis learns of the prophecy that if she has a son, that boy will grow up to overthrow Zeus. i imagine that, at that time, Zeus was still young- Rhea was still in the process of teaching him to be a good king, and the memories of Kronos' rule was still fresh in Zeus' mind.
and so, when Zeus hears the prophecy, he freaks out- he remembers Kronos' promise that one of Zeus' children would do the same thing Zeus did to Kronos, and Kronos did to Ouranos, and it scares him, and causes him to lose control for a moment.
but even though it's just a moment, it's too late.. by the time Zeus comes to terms with what he's done to Metis and their child, she's already vanished from sight, and no matter how many times he calls out her name, no one responds. she's gone forever.
where Kronos swallowed his children with malicious intent, i don't think it's the same for Zeus. i hc it to have been an accident, something that Zeus deeply regrets even after he learns that Athena survives. this is why, where Kronos swallows all of his children indiscriminately, Zeus swallows Metis but does not swallow Thetis, even though both goddesses were predicted to bear a child greater than Zeus.
i've written here (scroll down to Rhea's section) my hc for Rhea's reaction to this, but i like the idea of Rhea just being absolutely horrified by what Zeus has done. and i like the idea of her bringing him to Oceanus, and Zeus is the one who has to tell Oceanus exactly what has happened. and i think it's something very difficult for Zeus. but he does do it. it doesn't make things better, but i think it's all about the process of becoming a better king, and a better god.
after Metis, i like the idea of Zeus becoming very removed. yeah sure, he has a few flings here and there, but none of them mean anything to him. i hc that Zeus grew fearful of repeating what he had done to Metis with someone else.
so instead, he turns his mind to focusing on other things. until... Hera comes along.
now, most of us are familiar with the cuckoo myth and its unpleasant ending which essentially results in Hera being forced to marry Zeus for the sake of her dignity, but i, of course, absolutely hate that myth, so i'm disregarding it. i don't associate it with my personal mythology hc's.
i definitely agree with the general consensus that Zeus liked Hera before Hera liked Zeus. i love the idea of Hera not really caring about romance and relationships.. she was just out there having fun with her sisters, and the other goddesses.
i think that Zeus had always recognised how free-spirited and bold Hera was, even when he was with Metis, but he only realised how much it affected him after Metis had gone.
i hc that Zeus admired the way Hera was stubborn and wild, but still so elegant and kind. and i think that seeing Hera and being with her, redefined what being in love meant for Zeus <3
of course, Hera rejecting him time and time again only made Zeus try harder to win her over. and i think that, eventually, his efforts do prove successful. Hera begins to look forward to his goofy antics, and before she knows it, she's in love with him as well.
i've written here my little take on how poor Oceanus and Tethys dealt with Zeus taking yet another one of their beloved daughters, so i wont write about it again here.
when it came to Zeus and Hera getting married, i LOVE the idea of Zeus actually being extremely unwilling to marry Hera. but it's not because he doesn't love her. it's the opposite. he loves her TOO much.
in my hc, Zeus is extremely committed to being a king. he's seen the damage caused by Kronos' rule, and he intends to rebuild the world. in Zeus' head, he has a plan where Olympus will thrive. Zeus will bring into the world young gods and goddesses with keen senses of justice, gods and goddesses who will spread cheer and merriment wherever they go, who will offer his wisdom and judgement, and change the world for the better; all of this is a part of Zeus' vision.
and Zeus knows that those gods and goddesses are going to be his children. Zeus isn't omnipresent, he cannot be everywhere at once- that's why he needs his children to go forth into the world, doing his bidding for him.
but Zeus is aware from the beginning that his vision means he's not going to be loyal to Hera. now i know this might feel like a really poor excuse for Zeus' adultery, but bear with me-
historically speaking, kings in real life have been known to take other wives beyond their "main" wife in order to expand the empire, and have more children, so my hc is that Zeus follows this same principal.
anyways, i wrote a little more in detail about this here if you're interested :D
so, back to the hc's, i think that Zeus knew he was going to have other relationships. and he knew that this would hurt Hera, so he didn't want to marry her because he didn't want to cause her pain T-T
but here's the thing- Hera tells Zeus to "be selfish" and ask her anyways- because Hera does love Zeus. and they both know that they are each other's true loves.
and i think that it's for this reason why Hera becomes the goddess of marriage. does any other goddess fulfill the role of "wife" better than Hera? i don't think so. time and time again, she works hard to keep her family together.. she welcomes Zeus back and forgives him. and yes, she does have rages and she does fiercely defend her position as Queen of Olympus and wife of Zeus.. that's what makes her the perfect goddess of marriage.
i don't think her role would be as effective if her marriage was seamless. it's the challenges she faces that makes her such a strong, and unforgettable goddess. and she isn't weak for this in the slightest.
anyways, now in a lot of my recent posts, i keep on going on in the tags saying "oh i have something to say about Zeus' affairs"... so here it is:
i see one of the biggest questions related to Zeus and Hera is- does Zeus actually love Hera? if he cheats on her so much, then he surely doesn't love her.
BUT, i'd like to introduce you all to a little hidden gem i found while traversing the mythology side of the internet called the "Leucadic Rock".
now tbh i haven't really been able to find too much about it, it seems to be a very obscure detail about Zeus' life, but it's said that anyone who jumped from the cliff onto the Leucadic Rock would be cured of their passions. in particular, the myth that it's referenced in involves Aphrodite seeking Apollo's advice about healing from Adonis' death, and Apollo tells her that "whenever Zeus felt desire for Hera, he would come to the rock, sit there and free himself from the desire." (Ptolemy Chennos)
so basically, the rock stops you from being in love.
now i can't remember if i actually read this somewhere, or maybe im just making this up, but i LOVE the idea that whenever Zeus goes "out", he goes to the Leucadic Rock first, to free himself from Hera... this implies that: a) Zeus does love Hera (since he has to go and "free" himself from her), and b) if Zeus didn't go to the Rock, he wouldn't be able to have so many affairs, which to me, further supports my idea that the chief motivation behind Zeus' affairs is not simply that Zeus likes to get around, but rather, that he has a duty to his kingdom to create strong, and powerful gods and goddesses, and demigods too.
i mean, there's no doubt in my mind that he does genuinely love her- there's no way that Zeus, King of the Gods, would stay with Hera despite how many rebellions she's led against him, if he didn't genuinely, sincerely love her and understand her side of things.
of course, this isn't to say that all of Zeus' other lovers are trivial to him. some probably are, but i think that at his core, Zeus is just a lover at heart. there are definitely more than a few whom he truly cares for, but i don't think that any of them can compare with Hera. she will always be the one whom he goes back to.
anyways, in summary, my hc is that Zeus does love Hera. he always has, and he always will.
now, just before i finish up- let's quickly talk about Ares and the rest of Zeus' children.
the Zeus that i have in my mind is someone who thoroughly enjoys being a dad. i mean, i think he gets the greatest kick out of being embarrassing and pulling pranks on his kids, and spoiling them with gifts.
with Ares, my hc is that Zeus doesn't hate him at all. he dearly loves his son, but i think that, as the King, he also wants to make sure that his children are role models, not just for the other gods, but for the mortals as well. and i think, in this regard, Zeus sometimes feels that Ares is too immature, too brash and hot-headed.
and i think that, yeah, sometimes Zeus is a little strict with Ares, and sometimes he does sound harsh, but i think that's just a part of being a parent.
i can't imagine for a second that Zeus takes joy in being mean, or in sending his sons to do menial, mortal tasks- but he is a parent, and those are just things parents do to make their children better.
i think that Zeus does love all his children equally. he does sometimes get carried away with Athena, but i think this is more due to my previous hc about his relationship with Metis, and his guilt over her fate.
anyhow, so that's my hc's for Zeus ^-^

this might have been asked before but i rarely get to talk to other gary enjoyers SO!!!!! do you have any headcanons for what happened with gary and stan's relationship after all about mormons⁉ i like to think that gary moved back to utah a while later but even as the years went by he never forgot stan - i like the concept that even though gary is friendly and welcoming, he never really had any "friends" in school, he was well liked by everyone and got along with pretty much anyone he met but i imagine stan mightve been the only Close Friend gary had ever made - and at some point found a way to contact stan again (accidentally stumbling upon him on social media, maybe?) and the two began videochatting and grew pretty close again because i think that would be adorable... I ALSO really love the idea of gary STAYING in southpark though and him and stan sort of holding grudges towards eachother for a while (stan more than gary - gary seems like he would be more forgiving) but eventually taking up a fresh start again......stan would miss gary alot during the time they didnt hang out but he also has bitch syndrome and wont admit it. SORRY FOR RAMBLING IN YOUR INBOX ITS JUST. STARY GOOD‼‼
first off, NEVER apologize for wanting to ramble in my ask box ESPECIALLY if it's about gary/stary🥺🥺🥺🥺 secondly, omg i think about this CONSTANTLY!!! and actually, our thoughts are VERY similar for the most part! i definitely do think gary either moved out of south park and either stayed in park county or went back to utah. both places really do leave for different opportunities on how they see eachother again. theres just so many opportunities for them to come across one another, so i don't have a concrete set in stone headcanon.
but okay first i'd like to elaborate on some points you made😳. i also like to imagine that stan did really mean something to gary, he wasn't just a bump in the road that gary happened to come across and forget. heck, that was his first friend he made in colorado, that's definitely going to leave an impact on him. it was so obvious he thought the friendship was going to last pretty long, so having it cut short in such a brutal way probably hurt the guy. like you said, gary never really fit into a close knit group, so that added more fuel to the flames. so, later in life, when he comes across stan online or in person there's definitely going to be mixed feelings of regret and relief from him. regret because of how sour their last note was together and relief because he finally has another chance at making things right. stan feels the exact same but probably harbors much more shame than anything. i mean, he was sort of made a fool by this guy.
another thing i like to add to this vague scenario is that while this is going on, gary's getting ready to go on his dutiful, life-changing, church of latter day saints mission to god knows where. it adds even more of an incentive to patch things up with this old friend. of course though, it's going to be tough when they both realize they have feelings for eachother and gary's gotta peel the hell out of there and focus on his duties. 😔......... unless....🤔😏
this is like, my most ideal scenario about these two. but i still have many other ideas on how they meet again. hell, i even have a decently fleshed out fic planned out about them meeting and ending up going on an impromptu road trip together to california. i've also imagined them meeting whilst gary is on his mission and gary sneaking away from his missionary companion at night just to hang out with stan. ive even thought about one of the worst possible ways for them to meet up, which would be them meeting much later with gary already starting a family and locked into a marriage for the sake of the church. just .. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!
honestly, i could go on forever about how these two reunite again. i think that's one of the key components about the ship itself and one of it's themes, their reconnection. it's just so interesting thinking about different scenarios ranging from them clashing in school again to meeting up in the most randomest of places by sheer luck. this is one of the main reasons why i love these two a lot, their re-meet cute and differing personalities are just.. so great and integral to what makes them so fun to think about. GOd . I fucking love stary

Turns out when I said "later post" in the tags of my last post in meant immediately. SO here are my unabridged, unorganized thoughts on the Thelyss bros. Under the cut because I have so much to say about these two and it's a crime that their relationship is portrayed so little in fanfic.
First of all I think they're very close in age. like Irish twins close (Irish twins is when two siblings are born within 12 months or less of each other), or at least the elvish equivalent. Basically Verin was an accident baby while Essek was still in a cradle.
Verin is a paladin of the Luxon for several reasons. Reason 1: Echo Knight is a cool af class but I already know the details for paladin. Reason 2: I think it's funny to imagine Essek offering to teach him this cool new spell he invented and Verin is just like nah I already got this. Reason 3: I'm in love with the idea of the juxtaposition between Essek, who thinks the Luxon as a religion is absolute bullshit, and Verin, who has faith enough to draw his magic from it.
Actually a lot of what gets me about these two is the differences between them. They're different in almost every way but they still care about each other over just about anyone else.
Specifically Verin's paladin oath is the Oath of the Watcher. I think he also has some levels in Horizon Walker ranger because those two subcalsses are perfect for the commander of Bazzoxan.
Their childhood was not the best. Based on how much of myself I can see in him in canon and how much of my younger sibling I see in what little we have of Verin, I'm gonna make an educated guess and say Deirta was emotionally and mentally abusive and somewhat neglectful at best and somewhat physically abusive at worst. They are both very aware that she's not a good parent. They love her anyway, and it tears them up inside.
WOW typing that out makes me feel vulnerable as hell don't you love it when you can project onto a character so much that you give them all of your exact mommy issues.
Verin, while canonically the himbo of the family, is only the himbo in a relative sense. He's very athletic, has a high emotional intelligence, is not as smart as the people surrounding him, and has very few ambitions, be they political or otherwise.
However. Not as smart as Essek "23 INT" Thelyss is very very different from being dumb. Verin is a brilliant strategist and he's far from stupid in other respects. If I was making up stats I'd put his INT at 14, which is still above average (average being 10-11).
Now, about that emotional intelligence: we know Essek does great in a political setting but flounders in friendly social interaction. Verin does not have the same problem. He does alright in political situations, but he's amazing with people. He knows all of his soldiers by name and assignment and he knows the important things in his ranking officers' lives and his second-in-command's kids call him uncle.
Essek is good with people too, but in the lying and manipulating them sense moreso than the caring and talking to them sense. (if we're talking stats, Verin's base CHA is at probably an 18 to Essek's 15 but Essek has proficiency in deception and persuasion)
I LIKE TO KNOW CHARACTERS STATS OKAY
Their dad is.... a whole can of worms that they mostly just don't talk about. They're mostly past that at this point. Or at least they pretend to be.
If (aka when) their father gets reborn and finishes anamnesis, they're both going to be extremely fucked up over it.
When Essek got himself reassigned to Eiselcross, Verin did too. He'll be damned if his brother is going to go to a freaky arctic research base by himself. That's why the soldier the M9 talk to in 131 says Essek instead of the Shadowhand.
Speaking of Shadowhand, Verin thinks Essek's job is sketchy as fuck but he's been not saying anything about it for like 20 years and he's not about to start now. Conversely, Essek thinks Verin's job sounds fucking terrifying, but he's not going to say anything either.
Essek came up with the floating partially because Verin got taller than him, except that he didn't expect Verin to keep growing so Verin is still taller. He's a solid five foot ten whereas Essek is five foot six floating and five foot two standing.
They're codependent both because of the traumatic environment they were raised in and because I think codependent sibling headcanons are the shit.
Okay thats.... enough for now I think? I have many more headcanons but I need to go to bed now and if I put this in my drafts I'll forget all about it so

I know I keep reblogging ask games from you from my GW2 blog and I always feel guilty about not asking you one of them. I just don't know anything about your characters, but I want to. Might I indulge you to tell me about the lovelies?
This will be a Long one since I have many of them and not all of them is fully flushed out, but here I go!
First up my main: Thoernen:
He is a thief, literally, his occupation in his first 8 years was a thief. He ran away from his Wyld Hunt in fear of death and for years he tried to avoid any contact with undead or other dragon minions (not always successfully but always letting others solve the problems). Alas, in the end, he got baited into joining the Vigil and from there as a vigil soldier he worked against Zhaitan, eventually (following the personal story) forming the Pact with Trahearne and becoming the Commander.  After defeating Zhaitan he got a bit more confident in his work so continued to be the Pact Commander, forming a brotherly bond with Trahearne. Which made it really hard for him once he had to kill him in HoT. In the jungle, he also lost sight in his left eye and got several scars which made him look as miserable as he felt. Also in Maguuma, he saved an ex-mordrem, Dau who later ends up being his dear heart.  Personality wise as a sapling he is cheerful and keeps up the sight of that even after he runs away from the Grove and becomes Soundless, though as he fulfills his Wyld Hunt he gets more serious and broken even, especially after All or Nothing. He can’t take Aurene’s Death and steps off as Commander. he also loses his left arm because it was hit by a blast of Kralky’s and started to turn him branded, which he cuts off himself, not having anyone around. After he retired he and Dau moves back to the Grove to try and live peacefully.Aevelyhn:A helpful, tiny sylvari roaming Tyria and helping where she can. She doesn’t have a specific Wyld Hunt, rather she follows what she was in her Dream, which was helping others. She is often found in Divinity’s Reach, with her friend, Jaquline Du Ciel. She enjoys shopping for pretty dresses, dancing and practicing her elemental magic in her free time.Ainlon:A necromancer who awoken from the Dream with the face of Trahearne in his mind. He took it as a sign that he had to help him so after a few months of training himself, while Trahearne was in Orr and he waited for his return, Ain joined the Firstborn. It was a rocky learning curve to get used to living in Orr but he and Trahearne had a really good mentor-student, then a sort of brotherly relationship. He has a boyfriend, Quinlan back int he Grove who he always love to return to.Quinlan:Ainlon’s boyfriend and a gardener in the Grove. Mildly jealous of Trahearne being able to spend so much time with Ainlon, but knows Ain loves him and he trusts him.Sheara Swiftpaw:The leader of a Warband and member of the ash legion. Very skillful ranger has a pet stalker called Jul and loves hunting trips. She is very tomboyish and not very friendly, however, she does indeed have friends. A norn, called Rhaevee and an asura, Eaxxy.Eaxxy:Crewe leader in the college of dynamics. She loves to come up with new ideas which she usually forgets about as soon as she has the next, so her lab is full of half-finished projects and ideas. however, if she indeed finishes something than it’s the best it can be. She is rather sarcastic and loud. Has an unlikely friendship with Sheara and Rhaevee. Rhaevee:A journeywoman, who loves to travel and collect strange animals as pets. Has a big family with seven younger brothers. She is the only girl in the family which made her the protective big sister. She loves her family very much. They own a pub up in Shiverpeeks and make their own beer as well. Besides collecting animals she also loves to collect recipes from all across Tyria (and later Elona) and shares them with her mother who then tries to make them in the pub and home as well. She follows the Spirit of Raven yet her companion is a white wolf, called Morrigan. She saved Morrigen when he was a pup and his pack was slain by Sons of Svanir. She was led to the pup by a white raven. She is loud and strong, a true norn woman.Jaquline Du Ciel:A second born child in a noble family. She aspires to be a Shining blade member, currently a recruit, to be able to spend more time with her all-time crush so that she can live up to her idol, Countess Anise. Her best friend is Aevelyhn whom she loves to invite to tea and chat about the happenings in Tyria. She is a big lesbian and she does not hide this fact.Aeris Moonsong:Priory researcher and hobby gardener. She lives in Queensdale, near Divinity’s Reach and loves researching ancient artifacts. She also loves gardening but deadly scared of spiders.Cayde:Nightmare Courtier, Duke of Peonies or more commonly known as Dog of Faolain. He and his pod twin, Soléine were lured in a trap pretty much right after their awakening, by Inquest asuras. They both were curious and naive and paid the price for it. They were separated and experimented on. From the painful, torturous experiments Cayde turned to Nightmare and Faolain was there to welcome him. He has quite murderous tendencies and anger issues, resulting in him murdering many other courtiers and captives, for which Faolain had to assign a special ‘sapling sitter’ beside Cayde who can keep him in control. He is obsessively trying to turn her sister to Nightmare and kidnaps her from her loving home. Despite all of his flaws he has a boyfriend, @ascalonianpicnic‘s Aselif who he loves dearly and for whom he would do anything.Soléine:Cayde’s pod twin. She suffered the experimentations as well but was strong enough not to turn to nightmare, barely. She was saved by a group of soldiers, including Canach, who was the only one who could convince her to leave with them and the only one she actually sees as her savior. After she is rescued, she clings to him closely and they grow to love one another. She saves a half-dead fern hound in the human city and decides to take it home and heal him. and since then Isonos is by her side and she finds a passion for healing animals, learns more and becomes a vet.  At the time when Canach is in Maguuma Cayde kidnaps her ( or more like commissions @mystery-salad‘s Aezlin to do it for him) and tortures her, trying to turn her. That nightmare ends when the Court falls apart and she can escape, having again zero trusts in people and clinging to Canach just as she did in the beginning. She is shy and soft and loves animals and Canach.Lusus Naturae: They are Cayde’s 'sapling sitter’. Their pod was taken from the tree by the Inquest working with the fresh Nightmare Court in 1307. The name of the project and the one they ended up having was: Lusus Naturae (aka. Freak of Nature).  Their pod was just freshly sprouted so it had a lot of growing to do. Since they were severed from the Tree at such a young state they have no connection at all to the Dream, to the Pale tree or to other sylvari. It also caused them to take much longer to bloom. It took 16 years for them to be ready and when they were born, due to the lack of connection to the Dream, had the mentality of a newborn. The Inquest rectified the problem with connecting their brain to a computer and uploading the needed data which had them very confused for a while. (The implant which they used to do that is still embedded in the back of his neck.) After they were deemed to be a somewhat successful experiment, not counting that it took them way too long to awaken, and another series of tests, in which they tested their capabilities and discovered their fast regenerating abilities (tested for limb loss, high blood loss and many more which caused their Nociceptors to  shut down, thus they are unable to feel pain.), the Court took them over and they worked for them ever since. First, they worked under a Duke who was a Mesmer and learned from them (eventually broadening their abilities and learning Chronomancy by themselves), but a few years later they were assigned to keep another Duke, Cayde in control for his murderous tendencies. They work with him ever since.Tristrham:A revenant who is not at all proud of his abilities. He got his revenant powers by letting his guildmates die in the Mists when they accidentally found a way there. He actually had to kill one of them himself to be able to escape. (He killed more but didn’t want to think about it and we don’t talk about it. They basically were killing each other due to illusions.) Since he is out of there and once he got used to the voices in his head he went on about in the world, working as a mercenary, ending up in the Heart of Maguuma, where he was fighting to not give in to the voice of Mordremoth. He pulled it off for quite a while and giving in practically just before he died, so he has a short mordrem past, of which he doesn’t remember nor he wants to. After the jungle, he took a little break, trying to relax and heal but eventually ended up joining the Pact and is there ever since.Xeneviev:A spy in the Grove for the Nightmare Court. He joined the court because he has a HUGE crush on (again) @mystery-salad‘s Aezlin and he didn’t have much of a love for his supposed to be purpose either. In the Dream, he saw himself in nothing more than endless fields and mud and he really wasn’t about that. He hated it to the core so it wasn’t hard for him to throw that away for something more intriguing. He loves fashion, Aezlin, doing his job right, Aezlin, designing outfits, Aezlin, looking good and, you guessed it, Aezlin.Dau:His full name is Daulion but he doesn’t like that, so just Dau. He was in an abusive relationship with a courtier, named Alvanil and it took him years to be able to run away. But as soon as he did Mordremoth awakened and he was too weak to not give in, so he became a mordrem. He doesn’t have a lot of memories from that time but he still fears that he’ll turn mordrem again even after the dragon’s defeat. Thoernen saved him in the jungle after he successfully killed the jungle dragon and he fell for him at first sight. He joined the Pact and started to follow around the Commander, lending him a lot of emotional support in the desert, during PoF and they slowly formed mutual feelings and got together. Alvanil:Dau’s cruel, abusive Courtier ex-boyfriend. He loves to make others suffer, especially if they are weaker than him. Not many characteristics, only that he is an asshole. Gotta work on him more.Saberlily:Naive little sapling turned to Nightmare by Gavin, who is her mentor now. She kept her cheeriness even in Nightmare as she thinks there is nothing wrong with how the Court thinks. They want to free the sylvari and anyway, other sylvari do bad things too for no apparent reason. She loves sharp and shiny things. Has a very weird obsession with sharp weapons.Asteracéa:A soundless sylvari courtesan, living in Divinity’s Reach. He had to use his body as payment once he was stuck up in the mountains with no money or anything. (Not like he really had to have to but that was the first thought he had and it worked.) He ended up there by hiding from the Nightmare Court in a caravan. Ever since then he hasn’t returned to Caledon Forest and is a greedy, but highly requested courtesan. He loves to be fancy and even figured out a way to change the color of his body without much hassle. Has a roommate I am yet to name but he loves to hang out with him in his free time. He also obviously very much likes his job and the activities coming with it.Philix:A sweet, furry teenager, raised by two lesbian salads in Lion’s Arch. Works on the docks and as a part-time tour guide. Loves to get in trouble out of work and flirts a lot around. A true teenager. This two is not yet up in my character list, because I am lazy but:Endellion:You can call him En, Endy or Lion. Anything goes with him. He is a hairdresser/foliage dresser?  He loves his job a lot and doesn’t just excel at sylvari foliages he is great with hair or fur too. Residential in the Grove or  Mabon Market from time to time. A cheerful sunshine salad.Dhealaichte:He is Trahearne but not really. He is his reincarnation. Looks and sounds alike has his memories as well, but not his abilities. He bloomed a few years after the defeat of Mordremoth with the name Trahearne but he decided to change when he had enough of being compared to his previous life. He has no memory of his Dream this time though so he doesn’t have a Wyld Hunt.  Once Dheal was full of everyone wanting him to be someone he isn’t he left to discover Tyra for himself and then stayed in Lion’s Arch for a while, working and eventually learning to be a doctor. As the elonian refugees’ numbers grew he decided to go to Elona and help there, so as of now he is in Amnoon doing his best to help people.
