As for me ever since I can remember I was a reader I loved reading. My mom told me I loved telling stories when I was little like really really little (I am a talker and have always been hehe) the first time I got into reading was in first grade. I remember I got picked on by a teacher for not being able to read Greek very well and I would pause every few words. I was the only foreigner in the class so it was easy to get picked on lol. I remember going back home and telling my mom to go to a store that had books and I got lots of books so I can practice. I practiced really hard. Unfortunately I grew up as the child that moved schools a lot so from kindergarten to the 3rd grade I moved schools 4 times. When my family moved to the states I was in that same cycle of not knowing how to read. Remember sitting in my fourth grade class and being scared I would get picked on. But it was different people in my class helped me and didn’t make fun of me or bully me for not knowing how to read English. I think I recently mentioned how my 6th grade English teacher is the main reason I read so much today. I remember being in her class and always getting a new book to read. During 6th grade is when I stumbled upon wattpad…I am not proud of myself for reading stuff I wasn’t supposed to😩😞 I had no one to tell me what I was doing was wrong. I remember being so obsessed with wattpad the first story I ever read on there was the Lavery twins (IF ANYONE KNOWS IT I LOVE YOU). That was tame when I got into hs I started reading more and more filthy books. I remember my first ever creative assignment I had to do for ap lit I loved it so much. Being able to create something out of my imagination really touched something in me. At one point of my hs career I wanted to become a journalist lol. I think reading and getting to escape our reality for a while is something that relaxes me and I enjoy a lot.

How I got to tumblr…I first created tumblr back in 2017 for my exo fan account 😭 but didn’t know how to use it so I left it and came back in 2021. I came mainly for txt fics it was the same time I came across the fic hub and I joined it. The person I got inspiration from and made me actually wanna write my first fic was actually…you! Like I said you’ve been by my side through thick and thin and I can never thank you enough. I love writing and I love reading ive just taken a break from both in the last few weeks. Haaaa, I mean, as long as ppl are being kind, I love all the feedback! I’d totally be down to hear if I made a mistake in one of my stories (it would actually help me edit!) but I’m not a fan of ppl saying “this character is an idiot,” or “I believe James would never do that,” bc those just aren’t helpful and are very subjective and negative/condescending. Those only tell me that you’re reading the wrong story, and I can’t help you there!

What I really dig is when I can see the progression with ppl. Like, if someone is really invested in one of my stories, and tells me what they think is gonna happen next, I find that so fun! 🤩 As you know, writers really notice when someone reviews again and again, and you sort of build a bond with them and want to make them happy and proud! @all-things-jily is so good at this! She SOMEHOW knows exactly how to compliment you on the part that you were the most proud of, or the part you were scared to post bc you didn’t know if it would pan out, and it’s like 🥹 gaw. You noticed ☺️ I love when I get to know a reviewer, bc then sometimes I’m just giggling to myself as I write like, “hehe, oh she’s going to love that…” 🤭

When a reviewer is in doubt, I say it’s always nice to hear their favorite line or scene from the chapter! ♥️ You never know, them saying they like a certain character may even make us put them in an additional scene! (Haaaaa or saying they hate them might as well. You never know 😈)

My red flags are probably my anger issues , I get irritated very easily( depends but sometimes it’s at people and at situations), when I get angry I usually calm down fast , I don’t think I actually felt so angry in my life that I needed to go beat someone up ( i also get violent thoughts like how I wanna slap someone when I’m irritated or angry , but I usually just calm down after that and I’m over it ), I’m a perfectionist ( I think this trait really depends ) but like I hate it when things don’t go perfectly or how I want it to and i just get frustrated. I also switch off very fast when my energy isn’t being reciprocated. I’m actually very insercure and I just don’t show it , I also have a low self esteem. Lastly I think I just do things without thinking ( I’m more of an act first then think later person).

My love languages are physical touch and quality time( that’s like a lot but HAHAHA). I’m not afraid to hug someone after I’m comfortable with them. I also really like the idea of just spending time in someone’s presence. ( but I’m a sucker for words of affirmation like 🤭🤭🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️)

i go through like constant phases because i’m neurodivergent so i suddenly get weird bursts of motivation but i have quite a few drafts right now ! i think it always like really helps with what environment i’m in - i work better on prompts in the car when i’m on the move, i write them in my notes app but fics i’m so specific about. i have to be sat on my sofa, either music or youtube on tv and my laptop on my lap with a drink on standby 😭 i cannot focus and work in any other way. i also usually always deadline myself with my works? mentally anyways. i tell myself that no matter how many words by the deadline or by the time i reach all my bullet points for the plot? that’s also another thing !! bullet pointing your plots !! i find that helps me a lot

i keep meaning to make a post dedicated to tips and advice, i’ve had a few people ask and mention it so i’ll hold off on rambling right now and focus on getting to work on one of those if you’d like? <3
