Lucifer and Alastor argue over you
TW: mentions of a sibling? idk if thats a trigger
masterlist
Tumblr media
Alastor had really done it this time. You knew he wasn’t the most genuine of friends, aware he was just being nice for personal gain. But as time went on and you and he settled into the gentle routine of quiet afternoon teas listening to jazz in his half-open bedroom under the stars, you allowed yourself to believe maybe he enjoyed your companionship. Then you lay in bed, crying over finding out your sibling ended up in hell, and he had the audacity to offer you a deal. Not even a good deal: he’d get them to the hotel in exchange for your soul. You yelled at him angrily and stormed down to the bar, face still puffy from your sobs. You demanded the strongest thing on hand from Husk before burying your hands in your arms. He poured you a double shot with a small smile.
Lucifer entered the empty bar and walked over to you. He stood quietly, waiting for you to acknowledge his presence. Eventually, he spoke, his voice barely a murmur. "I heard what happened."
You hastily wiped your eyes, looking up at him with a nervous smile. "What? How?"
"Everyone heard what happened… you weren’t exactly quiet, kiddo," he sighed gently, taking a seat on the stool beside you. "I already sent Maggie to retrieve the new sinner, so don’t worry your head about that, okay?"
You nodded silently at the information, taking another sip from your glass. You didn't know what to do; you were still so angry, but you didn't want to yell at Lucifer too, even though you wanted to yell at everyone and anything that could hear. His presence somehow seemed more comforting than the empty stool that was next to you just a few seconds ago.
Lucifer stayed silent for a moment, thinking of what to say next. He cleared his throat slightly before speaking in a soft voice, "I'm sorry about what happened with Alastor. He was never the most trustworthy demon." He leaned back against the bar and sipped his drink. "But I promise you that I will do everything in my power to ensure that your sibling is well taken care of at the hotel. And don't worry, I won't ask you to give up your soul in exchange."
You smiled softly and turned to thank him, but as soon as you opened your mouth to speak, you were interrupted by the voice you least wanted to hear.
"I don't recall being untrustworthy." You almost jumped out of your skin. After all this time, you’re still not used to him appearing randomly behind you. "At the very least, I can be trusted to uphold my end of the bargain. No need to vilify me."
"Oh really? Because I seem to remember you agreeing to take this poor sinner’s soul in exchange for getting their sibling to the hotel! Isn’t that right, Alastor dear?" The devil spoke up, a playful yet firm edge to his voice, his expression remaining steady.
"I don’t remember this deal involving you," Alastor said pointedly, placing a hand possessively on your shoulder, ignoring your stiffening under his touch. "Can we discuss this matter upstairs, my dear? This really should stay a matter between two friends."
"We were having a conversation, and I think it’s rather clear she’d rather continue that than leave with you," Lucifer interjected.
Alastor, with a wide grin that can only be described as predatory in context, slowly slid his hand off you, a slight shiver running down your spine. Lucifer's eyes turned cold, and his smile disappeared, a chilling silence filling the air. Lucifer slowly stood from the stool and looked directly at Alastor with an angry expression. Alastor stared back with a calm and confident expression, not backing down from the argument.
"Come with me, my dear. This was just a misunderstanding we can get through."
"You think she would ever choose you over me?" The King laughed. "Even if she could forgive you for your actions, she'd rather be with someone whose heart isn't filled with hatred and fear. Someone who wouldn't use her for their own gain. Someone like me."
"Are you really going to side with him? You know as well as I that Lucifer is nothing more than a deceitful, tyrannical tyrant that cares nothing for the soul of a mere sinner. Now please take my hand and let's discuss this upstairs, shall we?" He didn’t give you a choice, grabbing your hand and pulling you gently. Lucifer grabbed your other hand to hold you in place. You were in a very awkward position now, caught between a rock and a hard place. Lucifer and Alastor continued to bicker. Their voices were becoming louder and louder with each passing moment. You wished they would just shut up and leave you alone for a few seconds.
Lucifer seemed to be the only one who wanted to do the right thing for you without expecting anything in return. And you know what? He's right. Alastor is untrustworthy, manipulative, and cruel. You're so glad he's on your side.
"Will you two just shut up!" you finally said loudly, causing both of them to stop mid-sentence. "You two can’t just argue over me like I’m the last piece of pizza. Alastor, I don’t want to go with you."
"Well, you heard the girl! She doesn’t want to go with me! And since she doesn’t value me as a friend, I’ll be on my way," Alastor said, his tone unreadable, smiling broadly at Lucifer before turning to leave.
Lucifer's grip on your hand tightened a bit as he watched Alastor walk out the door. He let out a long exhale and looked at you with a soft expression.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly, his voice full of concern. You nodded silently, feeling relieved that the confrontation was over.
The Devil smiled warmly at you before releasing your hand. "Would you like to stay for another drink? On the house, of course."

Ok, so I noticed that your requests are open. I'm in dire need for more Husk x Reader. So, really, anything is cool with me. Especially fluff XD
Sorry that this took so long, I hope you enjoy it still! I apologize ahead of time as it's been a while since I've written a one-shot or at all, really. But I love Husk so here you go!
NOTE: This version of Husk is based off of a fan theory on his backstory where Husk fought in the Vietnam war. In this headcanon for him, he had been engaged when he was drafted. His fiance became upset that he had left her and cheated on him with his childhood best friend. Husk then drank himself to death and ended up in hell and made a deal with Alastor, at first asking that he take away his ability to love, something Al was unable to do for him. So that's a bit of this version of Husk's story! Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stuck...
It was getting late and while he knew he needed to turn in soon for some rest, Husk was still wide awake. It was hard being so far away from home, so far away from his fiance and family. Even with that aside, this war had been violent and letting your guard down for even a second could result in tragedy. Perhaps he’d instead offer to stay on look out while the other soldiers rested. Or maybe he just needed to unwind, read some mail and try to get some shuteye anyway?
Looking over to the small stack of still sealed envelopes, Husk shuffled through them a bit, stopping on a specific one that made his heart both melt and ache at the same time. Admiring the way their handwriting flowed across the front of the envelope. The one thing that he knew for sure in all of this uncertainty was that (y/n) would always be able to ease his nerves no matter where he was. Just thinking about them was enough to soothe him and put his mind to rest even for just a few minutes.
That was when he decided to open it the letter that he had been holding onto for the past couple of days. Eagerly, he opened the letter and carefully unfolded the pages that had been compacted to fit.
“Dearest Husk,
I hope you are doing well, I’ve been keeping busy myself. It’s been really hard to go on each day without you here. I started a new job, I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit.
I don’t really know how to tell you this, but I have moved on. I started spending quite a bit of time with Jimmy, I know you two have been best friends since childhood, so please don’t take this out on him. He’s kept me company when I get lonely now that you’re gone. He treats me good and I’ve fallen head over heels in love with him.
I’m sorry, but I just can’t keep my life on hold, waiting for you forever. It’s time for me to move on from all of that and pick my life back up.
I hope you’ll understand,
(y/n).”
As his eyes continued to reread each line, trying to make sense of the letter that he had just read, Husk felt his heart sinking further with every word. A small, emotionless laugh escaped from his mouth, unsure of if he should be more sad or angry.
This couldn’t be happening, this war couldn’t be taking them away from him too. He didn’t have a choice! He was drafted, it’s not like he could just say no to the government, not without serious repercussions. And his childhood best friend nonetheless, had he always had eyes for them? Even before he was drafted into this damn war?
His chest was getting tight, it felt hard to breathe, this couldn’t be happening, not now when they were what he needed the most. How could he possibly keep going after this? To keep living a life that wasn’t even worth living? A life where everyone left him no matter what he did to try to make it up to them?
“Husk! Sweetheart, wake up!” (y/n)’s voice called out, causing further frustration. Why was he hearing their voice? Why did he have to be this distraught over one person?
“Husk wake up, you’re having another nightmare, hun.” Their voice rang out once more.
That’s when the feline’s eyes snapped open, sitting over the demon with a worried expression on their face, sat (y/n). They were brushing back the messy fur that lay on top of his head as he breathed heavily.
“Hun, did you have another one of those nightmares? ...About her?” they asked, concern still laced in their voice.
“I uh-sorry.” Husk cleared his voice, sitting up and gently resting a paw on his partner’s hand to try to reassure them that he would be alright.
“Yeah, it was another like that, but…It was you.” He admitted, albeit sheepishly. “And before you go and freak yourself out, I know you’re not like that. I’m not saying you are, I just…” His other paw reached up to rest his face in, frustrated. “It felt real. The damn nightmares always do.” Husk huffed quietly.
“I know what you mean though, nightmares like that usually do. It’s what makes them so scary, you don’t know what’s real and what isn’t. You don’t even realize that it’s all just a dream most of the time until after you already wake up.”
Husk nodded as (y/n) spoke, it was true, all he could really do was endure that same pain all over again until he had woken up and realized that it wasn’t real. While the feline was well aware that his partner wasn’t the type to leave in such a cruel way or that he was no longer out on the battle field, there was still fear there. Fear and pain from the past that occassionally still ate at him, one that not even alcohol could really cure, even temporarily. The fear of losing (y/n) and having to go through another heartbreak would be way too much for him. His last heartbreak had been so hard that he had not only lost his life in the end, but also caused him to beg and plead with a certain overlord to simply just remove his ability to love. That, was not something that even Alastor was able to grant him, ultimately resulting in indulging further into his alcoholism.
(Y/n) knew their lover’s background and had quickly picked up on these fears, especially when the post traumatic stress nightmares had really started becoming more and more frequent for him. Yet they had been there by his side ever since they had fallen into hell.
“Well, I can’t change what I do in your nightmares, but I can prove that this isn’t a continuation.” (Y/n) smiled and left a small kiss on Husk’s cheek, his fur gently tickling them as they did so. The demon’s shoulders fell a bit, seemingly easing any tension that he had previously bottled up from the stress of the morning.
He uncovered his face, offering a small smile and a little nudge. “That’s definitely you this time.” he chuckled a bit.
“I brought you some coffee, the way I made mine last time! Because you said you liked it.” (Y/n) gestured over to the nightstand where a mug rested, filled with hazelnut mocha coffee, steam gently rising from it to show it was freshly brewed.
“Oh-Thanks. I’m surprised you remembered that I liked it.” Husk decided to let it sit a few more minutes before trying to drink it. The last thing he needed was to burn his tongue off despite admittedly being rather excited for the drink that his partner had made for him.
“Of course I remembered!” (y/n) smiled, their response making Husk chuckle once again. “And Husk?”
“Hm?” Gently, he picked up the mug to take a small sip and test the temperature.
“I know what she did to you, I know that it’s hard for you to do this sometimes, the whole relationship thing...But I promise that you’re stuck with me. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. I’ve been really happy being with you, I love sharing stories with each other and you rolling your eyes at my jokes and you making me random drinks to try so you can laugh at me when I make weird faces about it. I love it more than anything and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, not even a ticket straight to heaven. Being here with you, I know it’s where I’m supposed to be and you can tell me that I can leave all you want, but I don’t want to. I want you, I want us, I want this.” (Y/n) held onto Husk’s paw, giving it a squeeze.
Husk set his mug down once again and leaned over to give (y/n) a small kiss.
“I want you too (y/n), as long as you want to be here. So I guess you’re stuck with me too then?” he smiled, the demon absolutely melting as his partner looked back at him.
“Till the end of time.”
I was recently asked how I would describe this couple or they relationships? Well, I answer - half-sided sadistic bromance through mutual hatred. Shortly - like killing dance. I THINK (and this is headcanon) they both know how to dance swing (THIS IS THE BEST DANCE ON THE DAMN PLANET) and I can't leave you without thematic music ~~~
So, for this art - Music: The Correspondents - Fear & Delight
Now it's headcanons time!
I put everything in my head in one big pile, so I'm sorry about this big mess)
in life, Al wasn't be a "social person" at all, but he was very well developed acting skills. People saw him as he wanted them to see him and because he was so masterful in his bloody affairs without consequences for himself, but with a public resonance nevertheless.
in hell, Alastor just wildly pumped communication skills, because he can directly persuade anyone to his side and make a deal. And of course he's a good judge of character.
demon Al and human Al are somewhat different personalities. I believe that in hell he became the embodiment of a directly violent and bloodthirsty spirit, and also became more unpredictable and (here it is difficult to apply the word "mad", because he is though insane, but extremely smart and calculating bastard). In life, Alastor was twice or even three times more stable.
when people go to hell, they remember their life as if it were a dream. That eventually begins to be forgotten. Someone immediately, someone very slowly, and someone then catches flashbacks.
as a child, Husker really wanted to be a magician when he was growing up in a casino and in the midst of all this environment. But life has created a great fucking joke with him, he didn't shy away from fraud and in general his youth shook him well so, and by maturity he became a really tough man. As a result, his demonic form actually mocks him.
when Husker gets drunk, everything goes according to two scenarios: either he becomes even more angry and irritated and in the end someone may not count his teeth, or he begins to entertain himself with his favorite things with genuine enthusiasm, which does not always lead to good. When Alastor gets drunk, it gets fucked up (like drunk driving, which is one of the most harmless things he does).
Niffty may be the only one whom Husker has ever had a warm feeling for and a sense of "fatherly care," though she may give him a real head start on some issues.
Alastor is a fucking troll over 9000000+ level. And even though he considers showing emotion to be a weakness, he really REALLY likes to bring Husker out on these very emotions, because it's a hell of a lot of fun to watch. By the way, Niffty had learned from Alastor the habit of constantly smiling. She sometimes tries to copy his habits.
I don't know how about in the canon, but I think Alastor and Niffty have known each other longer than Alastor and Husker. And also, I'm thinking about the part that Niffty and Husker made a deal with Alastor and got their powers through it. All three of them have the same auras. However, Husk could be initially with a considerable level of strength and it's unlikely that he was persuaded the first time.
Alastor doesn't recognize the personal space of others AT ALL. But God forbid you to touch him without warning/approval.
Husk also has a reflex to sudden touches. He had been used to this feature of Alastor for a long time, but thanks to the war, he still couldn't shake the urge to grab something sharp in the unpredictable course of events.
of weapons, Husk has a clear preference for firearms. Actually, another thanks to war, he can use anything as a weapon.
well, only Husk and Niffty must have seen Alastor in a rage a couple of times and survived.
Alastor and Mimzy were good friends in life, and Mimzy was hopelessly in love with him until Alastor killed her under the influence of circumstances.
after one nasty fight, Alastor had to get out of the woods in blood-spattered clothes. The dogs were set on him, and during the chase one of the hunters mistook his silhouette for a deer. The result is a bullet in his head.
in the old years, Husker was drunk enough to hold a trophy gun to his head several times, genuinely hating his life. But the final shot never came.
my friend thought that in the Husk's family could be Russian-speaking people, and it is interesting headcanon.
Husker's tail works like a cat's, which sometimes gets him in trouble and annoys him.
during aggression, he can make a whole set of sounds of growling and hissing, and the tail moves from side to side.
he purrs, and it makes him MAD TOO.
well, he can lick himself, but almost never resorted to it, as he considers it disgustingan and unworthy occupation. And fur very very long dries up after washing.
for Alastor to start using obscene language, a real fucking thing has to happen.
Alastor is asexual and childfree, in modern terms.
although Husker is always challenging Alastor most of the time, sometimes this crazy deer scares him and he would be happy to never mess with Al in his life. Alastor knows this and it gives him pleasure to watch what is happening. I would also call him an energy vampire.
in general, if Alastor begins to be interested in some person, it sometimes turns into an unhealthy interest, which is also FUCKING scary.
Husker usually keeps a certain level of alcohol in his system at all times, because otherwise stress, flashbacks, migraines and apathy the size of hell begin to fall on him.
Husk hates his fur. HATES. And those damn wings, like he didn't have enough fur and shit.
Baxter is still a good companion and interlocutor for him, but sometimes they can just and correctly say each other to fuck off.
Sometimes Baxter even feels sorry for Husk that he has to go through so much shit, from FUCKING fur to having any dealings with Alastor.
posttraumatic syndrome. Just two words, and how much sense.
very defensive, just like I said, Husk is clearly not inferior to Alastor in this.
these triple have been dealing with each other so long that Husk and Niffty can read a HUNDRED expressions of Alastor's smile. Or more.
Like that: "oh fuck he's got right corner of his mouth at 45 degrees"; "run?"; "run."
A LOT OF LETTERS. Thanks to those who reached the end. I hope you enjoy it!
The one who fell part 4
Alice woke up startled, the sound of a clock ringing in the distance spooked her awake. She, thankfully, didn't have any nightmares this time but still, she wasn't excited to be up. She sat up to stretch and rub the sleep out of her eyes. As she got out of bed, she noticed a piece of paper on the little desk next to her bed. She picked it up to read the note left on it.
Dear Alice
Good morning, hope you slept well, I won't be here this morning but Vaggie will be here and I've informed her of you and Als predicament so she'll look after you for me till I get back. Don't worry, Al maybe scary but he isn't that bad once you get to know him. I also left you some clothes in your closet, hopefully they fit
Sincerely Charlie <3
Alice smiled by the end of reading the note, Charlie was so nice. It did make her question how she's in hell if she's so nice but she'll probably ask her later. She got up and looked in the closet at her new clothes. She chose a nice red dress with some flowers embroided on in. She tied her hair up and put on some black sandals. She left her room and went downstairs, her stomach growled as she got to the lounge, she was ready for any kind of food they would serve. Her stomach then twisted in her gut as she saw Alastor at the bar area, talking to the cat person on the otherside. Alastor spotted her and waved to her while smiling a closed eyed smile. She didn't give the same gesture, she instead moved over to the couches where Angel dust sat and sat on one of the other ones near him.
She sat there for a moment, keeping a careful eye on Alastor, her appetite leaving her completely but she was still hungry. Angel noticed her existence and placed his phone down. Angel dust: "Yo". Hearing Angels voice made Alice turn her attention to him. Alice: "Oh morning Angel, how are you?". Angel shrugged as he lay his hand on his clenched fist. Angel dust: "Okay I guess, just bored, what about you? Ya look tense". Alice looked at Angel wide eyed, surprised he would notice her behavior. Alice: "Well, I'm just nervous, haven't stayed in a hotel before, hehehehehe". Angel looked at Alice, perking his eyebrow. Angel dust: "Really? Hmm". They both sat in silence as they both stared off in space.
Angel then popped out of his thoughts and smiled cheekily. Angel dust: "Hey, wanna do something fun?". Alice glanced at Angel confused, what kind of fun? Alice: "I don't know, I thought I'd stay here till Charlie got back". Angel huffed in dispointment until he noticed Alices uncomfortable and nervous staring at Alastor. Angel dust: "Hmm, are you sure you really want to stay here?". Alice thought for a bit longer, she peered at Alastor deep in his chatting till he peeked back at Alice, that look he had sent a chill shiver down her spine. She quickly shot up, scaring Angel. Alice: "Okay, let's go".
Angel dust whispered a yes as he followed Alice out the door while Alastor watched the two leave. As they walked down the fiery streets of hell, Alice got nervous as she didn't know what to do. Alice: "So, what are we doing now?". Angel hummed in thought as they continued to walk. Angel dust: "*gasp* I've always wanted to prank these idiots I knew for stealing my money after I gave them my service and I know exactly where they would be". Angel grabbed Alice, dragging her along, faster then when they were walking. After maybe 10 minutes of speed walking, they finally stopped in front of a bar. Alice was more or less out of breath when they got there.
Angel dust stood at the gate, thinking carefully what to do next. Alice was about to speak protest on the idea of causing a prank but couldn't since Angel rushed away. Angel dust: "Wish I brang my gear, be a lot more fun if I did, no matter though". He climbed up boxes and crates stacked beside the building, climbing to a small window. He looks through the window, looking at everything inside. A small grin grows on his face after something caught his eye. Angel dust: "Jackpot". Alice was totally confused over the entire situation, she wasn't sure what he was up to or what he'll do to get them back. Alice: "What do you see in there?". Angel dust: "Something that'll make this night extra fun, get up here".
Angel gestured to Alice to climb the boxes, she hesitates but is curious on what he was seeing. When she made it to the top, Angel moves aside to let her see. She looks in an sees a small bar filled with demons. They all were enjoying their time, drinking, chatting and more. Angel dust: "There, you see those two in the corner, they're the ones that scabbed me". Over to the bottom left of the corner was a large burly man and a short skinny one, both mean looking too. The sight of them gave Alice goosebumps. Those were people she didn't want to mess with. Angel dust: "And look what they're packin". Resting on the tables were weapons and explosives, it was shocking to see. In the normal world, someone would immediately be arrested and the weapons confiscated if they were seen at all. But this was hell, this place worked differently which Alice quickly learned.
Angel dust: "If we can get those weapons, we can blow them all to hell or out of hell really, hahahaha". Alice: "You said we'd be pranking them, not killing them". Angel smirked at Alice. Angel dust: "I know, the prank being that they'd be dead". Alice frowned at his words, its no wonder Charlies having so much trouble on him. Alice: "Angel!". Alice spoke strongly to Angel which gave him a shock. Seeing the upset face she pulled made Angel back up. Angel dust: "Jesus girl, you're taking Charlies rules seriously aren't you?... *sigh* fine, we'll steal their weapons and I can sell them, I know what brand they are and trust me, they are good ones, they must of cost a fortune, I don't even have those. Bet they'll be going mad if they went missing".
Alice thought for a moment, stealing those weapons wouldn't be so bad. She nods her head in agreement to Angels plan which he smiles widely, happy to know this was gonna happen. Angel dust: "Alright, here's the plan". Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Vaggie struts down the stairs, face buried in some papers she had. When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she sees that Angel dust is gone, so is Alastor. She sighs in anoyance, hoping those two weren't causing problems. She finds Niffty, dusting out some shelves. Vaggie: "Niffty, where did Alastor and Angel go?". She was annoyed that she had to keep tabs on both of them but for this hotel to be a success, the most troublesome of them had to be kept under surveillance.
Niffty stopped her cleaning to glance up at Vaggie. Niffty: "Oh well, Angel dust took the new guest Alice out for what he described as "fun" and Alastor left right after them, don't know why though". Vaggies eyes shot open, her fears and anger boiled up inside of her. With an angry expression, she swore she'd make them pay. She placed her papers on the table and left the hotel. Hoping the chaos hasn't started just yet.
