OH DDLJ??? duuude this is a whole story:

Oks so I watched it super late at night like a month ago, and just when it finished I said under my breath “gosh, what an amazing movie” however I just couldn’t explain what was the thing that made me love it sooo much?? Was it the cinematography??? was it the movies??? Was it their love?????? I really couldn’t explain!!! (it was 3am okay let me be) So I decided to watch it again the next day, however this time making my mom watch it (this is where the story gets good)

To put it in simple words, my mom is a person who ALWAYS falls asleep watching movies, and I mean it, ALWAYS. And never like musicals (except probably Mamma Mia because ABBA but still) she’s always like “why is there so much dancing? let’s go to the plot”. At first I was nervous because omg I liked the movie so much and she might ruin it for me??? I was hesitant, until I decided to just press play. In a few words, my mom was delighted, I had probably never seen her so happy after watching a movie (honestly) (also she got a huge crush over kajol and srk but that’s a whole other topic lmao) I concluded that there was not a single thing that I did not love about the movie. The pairing, the dialogues, the songs, the cinematography, seeing how much love two people can have for each other... woah... it was all just too much...

Anywayyy some days later my mom was with her friends and she told them to watch the movie, so we decided to get all together to watch it (I’d say this was my third time watching but nah it was probably my fifth) It was so funny because we started watching at 8pm and the movie was supposed to end at like 11pm (and well in my city u cannot be that late in the night outside bc its super dangerous). We got to the intermission and all her friends were like “shit i have to go... but I really don’t want to....” anywayyys we stayed super late watching it, they all loved it, we almost died in the driveway getting back home but it was worth it lmaoo

Yesterday, as I was watching Mr Sunshine, I was almost ugly crying and then suddenly I hear zara sa jhoom loon main coming from my mom computer and I was like wtf are u serious, eugene is dying and ure making me sing right now?? but yh I have the whole album downloaded because the music is jUST SO GOOD

I literally have no words to explain how much or even why I loved this movie, I probably could watch it over and over and over AND OVER nonstop until I memorize the dialogues (ngl I almost know all the songs lol the one missing is ruk ja o dil deewane) So kids, this is the story of how a movie fucked me over and made my mom a srk stan (also if anyone ask me about my favorite movies dilwale dulhania le jayenge is 100% going to my list)
