Old England Paris vintage
My public service of vintage found around the internet -- as always, I have no commercial connection to these sales unless I say otherwise. My book about all this and much more about classic Paris custom menswear is available at the link in my bio though.
1990s ad for the defunct suitmaker Chester Barrie at Old England Paris. Chester Barrie used to be the best maker of British ready-to-wear suits. The name got separated from the factory, which ended up being owned by Lutwyche before liquidation during the pandemic.

Bluey Fanart: CLEM7 Tunnel Canopies
The M7 Clem Jones Tunnel (CLEM7) is an underground tunnel toll road under the Brisbane River. It connects Woolloongabba to Bowen Hills. It is 4.8 km long and it serves 28,000 vehicles a day.
The Clem 7 Tunnel Entry Canopies are an eye-catching public art feature. There are three entry canopies, located at the north end of the Lutwyche Road entry, Shafston Avenue and the South end of the tunnel at Ipswich Road.
They are made of composite materials, with lighting and shapes designed to look like tree canopies native to Queensland.
While they haven’t been depicted in an episode of Bluey yet, I think it would be neat to see them one day in an episode, perhaps on Mum’s drive to work?
I drew this image by colouring over a photo using Freeform, using the colour-picker tool to block out polygons of the same colour. Then I added Mum in the SUV! Kind of like a big paint-by-number. ☺️

We sit in our beautiful Envy of the World renovators dream Queenslander in the prestigious World Class Champion Suburb of Bardon. Our cyclists are being slowly but surely killed but it is the 11 1/2 months of Summer that is the greatest genocide of all. We implore you to aid us with relocation to Tasmania before too many bogans beat us there and traffic and proices (sic) become just as bad as in Brisbane. It is so that we can exercise the ancient rights of a white person wearing a coat or parka roasting marshmallows over a fire and drinking hot chocolate and coffee as our ancestors did. We need to display these incidents of our ancient culture on Instagram to be one with the other white people's (sic). Oh Great UN! We ask for your help to escape the humiditiy (sic) fit only for the brown man for we are an ethnic minority and the demands on us to stay here constitutes human rights abuses - and our reliance on the welfare we receive from our public service welfare jobs for our upkeep and status in the humid reservation know as Brisbane. No amount of Ice Break will be able to save us.
