maliwan is a family Business. a hipster silicon valley corporate cult masquerading as Cool. elemental weapons, advanced tech. family as another word for war, struggle, discipline. transhumanist only in name, functionally deeply ableist, with dehumanization of people down into mere assets, things running rampant. presented as villainous.

jakobs is a Family business. old timey, largely cordial, an arrangement of people who just Know one another. non-elemental, simplistic but powerful. family as the core, the meaning of it all as community and respect - reliance, civility, honor. with an explicitly disabled man now at the helm of it. presented as heroic.

Well, starting every week in May, a new Community Challenge will appear where the community has to band together to take on one of the many Maliwan-themed Bosses in the game! After completing each Community Challenge, the community will be granted a SHiFT Code that rewards us with a new Customization Head and Weapon Trinket!

   Week 1:  Kill Gigamind a total of 50,000 times to earn the Super Mecha Customization Head and Ball and Chain Weapon Trinket.
