I’m just saying. I’m just saying that there was some SHADY shit going down at Spock’s school

I get that there’s a huge concern over keeping your emotions in check, but if you actually think about it, they would know and accept that kids have a harder time controlling their emotions, and so they would have systems in place where if a kid lost control of their emotions, they’d help them calm down and talk out how that kid should’ve logically reacted

What I’m saying, is that it would’ve been more in character for the school officials to look through security footage (which would’ve existed!! with it being the future and the way Vulcans like to document everything to the exact nth) and try to talk to Spock about how he should’ve reacted in that situation

Which means they would’ve seen the group of kids taunting him, and something about them makes me think that this is a reoccurring situation, not just with Spock, but any other Vulcan kid not deemed “Vulcan” enough

So although they would’ve done something about Spock losing control of his emotions, they also would’ve been more concerned about the kids making this a terrible learning space for other children, and they would’ve seen the logic in stopping the problem at its source

But instead no investigation was done? Against three kids cornering one, three kids who I’m sure would’ve been in multiple situations where they’ve had some kind of alternation with another kid, who would’ve let the adults know the other kids were taunting them? No investigation?

I think it was a coverup. I don’t think it’s just the school’s xenophobia either, I think one of those kids’ parents, or all of them, have ties in the school, and every time their kid is almost caught for doing something bad, they have the teachers tell the victims that the best thing to do is to control their own emotions and let it happen, making it seem like it was the victim’s fault so their kids get away with it and no investigation is done

I think the s’chn t’gai family should have sued the school.

have you played through zero time dilemma? asking bc I have played 999 and VLR but the bland artstyle of the 3rd game made it so much less engaging to me and I'm curious if you think it's worth playing through

I have! ZTD is definitely the weakest in the series when it comes to character design but ngl the promo/box art is a huge inspiration for me i love how grungy and atmospheric it is but i can understand if not everyones into that sorta thing

as to if i think ZTD is worth playing through I talked about that more here but expanding on that further: if you are invested enough in Zero Escape as a whole and go in with low expectations i think its worth a shot. It suffers a Lot from trying to tackle so much but has a few morsels of interesting ideas

Seeing as I have gotten considerably better at sculpting things in Blender since first making the little frog that eventually became my LC Employee OC Frogsilon, I decided to sculpt it in it's defensive stance. Just to have a frame of reference for my improvement.

This time the textures were not an issue at all.

when we meet ian he holds his cards pretty close to his chest, right? he still feels HUGE emotions and they burst out in pretty intense ways, but from day to day he just kinda moves through the world rolling his eyes at people sfkldj

what art program do you use nowadays? in what ways do you prefer it to firealpaca?

I use clip studio paint! If you'd asked this a couple yrs ago I would've given you a CSP salespitch but actually rn CSP has switched to a subscription based model and have discontinued the download of their 1.0 version, which I currently use (CSP 2.0 and any other newer versions are subscription based I think).

So. I decided to give firealpaca a fair chance before I got back to you because I'm petty and I think any program that isn't subscription based is better than CSP ❤️ I used firealpaca like (redacted) years ago so there's been many changes since I last used it, so I tried to draw smth on it

And tbh it doesn't look THAT different😭 I mean obviously my CSP Aira is more polished bc I'm currently more used to it, but otherwise my process was pretty much the same. I'm sure if I used firealpaca more I could probably achieve a replica. If I tried hard enough

The biggest difference between CSP and FireAlpaca is that CSP has a wider variety of assets and brushes. FireAlpaca does have like a brush asset store, which is very cool, but it doesn't have as many as CSP.

But usually artists don't use that many brushes when drawing anyways, a lot of us just like downloading them and not using them so even if you don't have access to the entire library of CSP assets you'll survive probably

However, when it comes to brushes, CSP has better default brushes (especially their airbrush). FireAlpaca's default brushes aren't bad, but they aren't the best either, although this can be rectified by just downloading a brush in their brush store 💀 FireAlpaca does give me some trouble with pen lag and stuff but it's pretty minor

I didn't use this in my drawing, but CSP has a 3D asset function that's useful for posing and drawing objects, which is convenient for me but if you're the type of person that doesn't have trouble with anatomy and stuff, you'll be fine even without it.

Overall, I do prefer CSP because I'm used to it and I like the assets there, but you can draw just fine with FireAlpaca even without the excessive assets. Honestly with all the additions over the years, I'm surprised FireAlpaca is still free 😭

lmaooooooooo I had a tricky situation last week where I had to untangle a mess caused by another company at work, but because I knew what the mess was I just decided to say screw my job description and call over to the company we work with and handle it myself rather than make the customer call them and try to handle it, and it turns out the customer not only works for that other company, but I guess is a vp for the company I was dealing with, and he sent feedback up through his company which then went across and up through my company, and now I'm getting some fancy recognition bc he's a bigwig lmaooooooo amazing

it's very nice he did this but lol it's really all who you know isn't it

I have been researching Animatronics and it is oh so very very fascinating. The arduino boards vs something complex enough to use a raspberry pi, the types of servos, how you can build a servo without using an actual servo if the servo would be too big, etc etc etc.

The downside is now I look at fnaf animatronics and figure how they may mechanically work and you know what? The Daycare Attendant, if they were real, would be such a highly advanced machine. Not only is the programming and machine learning and large language models of all the animatronics of FNAF security breach super advanced, just the physical build is so technically advanced. Mostly because of how thin the Daycare Attendant is, but also with how fluid their movement is. One of the most top 10 advanced animatronics in the series. (I want to study them)
