When I watch cooking reality shows I often long for them to give the contestants several days for just, like, *one* of the challenges so we can see what these same people would be like if they had time to make to-do lists and do their own grocery shop and put on their favorite kitchen playlists

Here we meet the distraught bunny king of Bunnybury, and eat a whimsical mango and strawberry Charlotte Russe from Great British Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussein. I’ve never done anything like this (just an apprentice!!) and it tasted good but I kind of got the thickness of the layers in reverse - the top was the most dense and the bottom the least dense, so it didn’t hold together well. Better luck next time!

I have taken it upon myself to write some 2018 resolutions on Netflix’s behalf:

1. Defend Net Neutrality.

2. Clear up the confusion once and for all: Grace Hanson is a lesbian, Frankie Bergstein is bisexual, and they are in love and in a committed relationship.

3. Bring back Grandma.

4. Ensure that all episodes of GBBO are available for viewing in any country and that all seasons, especially the Nadiya season, will be available for the rest of our lives because a lot of bad things happen in the world and the people need this.

Re PH's 'Public therapy' it's not actually unethical if both sides agree to do it and have contracted boundaries, which I'm sure they have. Nadiya Hussein (winner of tv baking competition) did this with Prof Salkovskis a few years ago to show CBT for anxiety and was filmed in session. It's not something I would do nor would the Palace have allowed if PH were genuinely ill. It does nothing to help with MH at all for which I am extremely disappointed, but I think there is more to this than we know

Watching Nadiya Hussein bake on Netflix is so cathartic. Her mango coconut sponge cake looks like the most divine thing and I need to make it even if I’m the only person here who will eat it. The way she makes her little strawberry clotted cream cupcakes omg! And her lamb “toad in the hole” holy moly

#cannot find clotted cream here nor am I really confident to try making my own so I will have to use my fav vanilla cupcake recipe #but I still desperately need to try her method of piping the cake around the berries + her strawberry frosting and topping #n
