More Kory-as-a-BG3-Companion ideas, specifically around endgame.
I was a big fan of your companions hooking up in the background of DA:I if you hadn’t romanced anyone, so that’s part of the inspo here.
(These scenarios all assume a Korydass that has not been romanced by the PC/Tav.)
Kory will jump in faster than Wyll to go with Karlach to Avernus (sorry to steal your thunder Wyll, but I gotta. I gotta!). Kory will, in fact, insist on going. The PC/Tav cannot talk her out of it, unless they have romanced Karlach and are going instead*. Kory’s adamant that once they find a cure for Karlach, she’ll get them both home (alluding to Druids getting Plane Shift at level 13). In the meantime, Karlach “will not be without friends or flowers.” Of course Wyll or Tav could go with them, if they want.
If nobody does go with them, there’s a deep implication at the reunion party that they’ve hooked up—Karlach makes a joke about Kory making a “good mount” and when the PC/Tav says “for riding into battle?” Karlach would say “that too!” If approached after Karlach, one of Kory’s dialogue trees would lead into “Gods, did she use the “mount” joke again? I think everyone in the hells has heard it by now…”
If Tav/Wyll are together and both went, there’s still the implication of Kory and Karlach hooking up. If it’s just Karlach, Tav, and Wyll, and none of them have been romance by the PC, there’s implications of a polycule forming, albeit slowly as they’re juggling dealing with the engine and potentially Mizora as well.
If she doesn’t wind up in Avernus (because Tav has romanced Karlach) at the reunion party you find out Kory has tagged along with (Selûnite) Shadowheart and is helping her with the farm/animals. It’s ambiguous if they’re together together but they’re both overwhelmingly enthusiastic about taking the Owlbear home with them. Kory had been looking for him for weeks after the final battle. She will transform into an owlbear and run around with him for a bit right after it’s decided he’s going home with them.
If for some reason she doesn’t wind up in Avernus or with Shadowheart at the farm, Kory has taken up the position of head of the park restoration of Baldur’s Gate. To be clear, nobody asked her to, but nobody can work up the courage to tell her “No” so she just takes it over. Someone spreads a rumor that she’s related to Ansur in some way (Astarion, probably) and the Dukes of Baldur’s gate relent fully and put her officially in charge of it… not that they would have been able to stop her.
Kory’s goal is the city to have a better balance of nature and urban life. She plans on expanding the number of green spaces in the city, starting with getting rooftop gardens set up in the lower city. If asked about it she’ll say: “Everyone’s pouring gold into upper city. Someone has to look to the people who don’t have as much, and fresh food will alleviate some of their suffering.”
There’s no fucking way “at the farm Kory” or “Park restoration Kory” has let anyone other than herself or Tav adopt Scratch.** “Went to Avernus Kory” would not have wanted to risk him getting hurt there though 🥲.

If Korydass was a Companion in BG3
This is just touching on Act 1…
The big Kory disapproval moments are any time you’re an outright asshole, really. Abandoning or killing potential companions is a huge no-no. Killing the tieflings OR the druids and she will turn against you outright. You get an approval bump from her for saving the Owlbear Cub and Scratch, but there’s also a big approval boost for treating the distressed Frog in the swamp with kindness.
General chatter in early game will see her very awkwardly flirting with Karlach (of course ❤️‍🔥); but also getting a little flirty with Wyll or Shadowheart.
(So much more after the break!)
When Kory gets the slightest hint that Shadowheart likes animals but is trying to suppress it, Kory goes all in on pointing out rare birds or offering to help with her fears of wolves. The wolf thing doesn’t get a great response, but there will be another ambient dialogue about it in Act 3 after the events of the House of Grief, one where Shadowheart does take Kory up on the offer.
Another ambient dialogue soon after recruiting Karlach would be Kory and Karlach both offering horn-care suggestions for Wyll after his transformation. Towards the end of the conversation there’s an exchange that goes somewhere along these lines:
Wyll: Is it polite to ask for assistance with the cleaning process?
Karlach: “Depends with tieflings.I’d pick stones outta my friends’ if we got too rough-and-tumble. Mum and Dad and I would help each other out with the annoying nooks in each others’. But you know, you gotta gauge it person to person and never handle someone else’s horns without asking first.
Korydass: “I’ve been led to understand that is always something… intimate for Dragonborn. Something that you’d only ask a lover to do.”
Wyll: “Led to understand?”
Korydass: “I haven’t spent a lot of time around other Dragonborn.”
Wyll: “Oh.”
Shortly after this Karlach would offer to point out the proper oil to buy for his horns when they next saw it and the dialogue would end.
Kory would absolutely have something to say about the exsanguinated boar, which would change depending on if Astarion was in the party at the time or not. After the Vampire reveal, she’ll note she’d suspected he was a vampire since then (if you have not found the boar or she wasn’t in party, she’ll be surprised).
An early exchange with Lae’zel would have her nearly flirting with Kory, and it all going over Kory’s head:
Lae’zel: “You fight ferociously, like the beasts you embody.”
Korydass: “Well, that’s, um, the point of undergoing the transformation.”
Lae’zel: “I appreciate your tactical approach as well. You beguile your foes with your seemingly soft nature, then you tear out their throats when they’ve let their guard down.”
Korydass (surprised, and honestly a little alarmed by the description): “I—uh… thank… you?”
Lae’zel: “However, you could do with physical training for this form. Should you wish it, I will assist you.”
Korydass: “I’ll… take that into considerstion.”
There will be chatter between her and Gale about assisting him with the cooking; Gale politely calls her cooking “rustic” and Kory takes it as a massive compliment. They do discuss foraging quite at bit, with Gale occasionally making requests of Kory for certain ingredients if she can manage it or use druidic magic to grow said ingredients.
If you’re wondering about her romance, check under the bonus on this post.

To demonstrate why it takes so long for anyone in the Tadfools to even begin to get a read on Korydass, here is the first, most dramatic expression change she makes in front of them—
Kory, approximately five seconds before seeing Karlach the first time:
Tumblr media
Kory approximately five seconds after seeing Karlach for the first time:
Tumblr media
Astarion is the only one who catches this. Wyll is too distracted accusing Karlach of being a monster and Shadowheart is too busy sizing Karlach up for… other reasons. Given that Astarion watched Kory cold-cock Aradin with next to no change in her expression before she threw the punch, Astarion find this reaction very interesting (and files that juicy tidbit away for later).
One evening, after Karlach is with the group for a while, she interjects in the middle of a stupid party spat to tell folks to knock it off because they’re upsetting Kory. Astarion scoffs and asks how Karlach could possibly know how Kory is feeling.
Karlach points at Kory’s tail, which is thrashing madly.
As soon as attention is drawn to it, Kory freezes, tail and all.
That’s when the group realizes that this whole time Kory has been extremely easy to read, but none of them had noticed her obvious tell, because none of the rest of them had tails. Karlach had been getting accurate reads on Kory since day one because, as a tiefling, she’d grown up with tails being a regular part of the body language of the people around her.
Though, even with this insight, Karlach has a noticeable blind spot when it comes to Korydass’ feelings; that takes a little more time for both of them to sort out.
(Meanwhile a certain vampire spawn is enjoying the show, and cackling about it the whole time).

Been working on this for a couple days in-between various obligations! I saw someone else did this with their Tav (I cannot remember who or I’d link it as my inspo 🥲). In any case, Korydass’s expressions/greetings at various levels of approval:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(As you can see, she gets a bit chattier as your approval goes up!)
BONUS:
Tumblr media
I like to think that the strange little way Kory’s romance would go would actually involve something along the lines of the character finding trinkets outside their tent. Like useful herbs for alchemy, or small, shiny rings. One time the MC will catch a crow with vibrant green eyes placing this item there; the bird startles and flies off.
At the tiefling party she’d present you with something useful, like the scroll case or potion case from BG2 (because goddamnit do I miss those) and of you ask her about the other gifts you can launch whatever the initial romance scene she has. It’s a romance that can’t start before the tiefling party, but you can initiate it after by hitting the correct approval level and mentioning the gifts.

Headcanon rambling today!
Korydass winding up in charge of the “Tadfools” is almost entirely because she met Lae’zel, Shadowheart, and Astarion first.
She might have defaulted to Lae’zel’s leadership, but Lae’zel was going to leave Shadowheart behind so Kory overrode her. There was no way Kory was going to pass by someone in need, not when her own escape was a fluke. When Shadowheart assumes Kory is in charge, Kory goes with it—for the moment.
If Wyll or Gale had been next, Kory probably would have stepped back. Wyll has a natural leader’s air to him, Gale would have honestly talked too much for Kory and she would have gotten quieter and quieter because she didn’t know how to speak over him without being perceived as rude.
Instead we get Astarion, who Kory clocks immediately as weird, with those teeth, those eyes, a set of puncture wound scars, and then he tries to jump her. Sure, it all works out, but this means she’s got two bickering women and a strange, suspect little man when she stumbles in a grove of Druids under attack. That gets her wound up, so she starts directing the trio in the scuffle and after that something clicks in her brain.
These are idiot ducklings and she is the mother duck.
That is a sense that gets reinforced when she meets disaster wizard Gale stuck in a rock. Kory doesn’t defer to Wyll because he was blindly gambling on not transforming, and risking the grove and the tieflings on that gamble. Now she has five ducklings, each one looking to her for guidance because they see others are looking to Kory for guidance.
It’s not until they find Karlach that anyone gets a real sense that maybe, just maybe, Korydass has been faking it and is actually wildly out of her depth.

5, 11, 16 for the ask game pretty please <3
OK, this time my excuse is that I was very, very sick for the past few days. Hopefully the next potential ask I will be faster with.
5. Describe their idle animations!
I do love this question so thanks in particular for asking it. 💕
Kory tends to/prunes the vines on her tent (see this post for the tent description). In the daytime she’ll appear to take leaves off and put them near her mortar and pestle. At night she’ll take off a flower and do the same.
Related to that, she has an animation where she is sprinkling things into the mortar and pestle, then turns around and uses it for a while, before putting it back.
She’ll sit at her table and scratch out some notes on a piece of paper-but she uses a claw instead of her quill, and then dunks it into a dish of water to clean it off.
Much like Jaheira has an animation where she talks to rats, Kory has an in-depth conversation with a crow that comes to perch on the top of her tent.
If the owlbear cub is recruited, Kory has an animation where she turns into an owlbear and does a loop around the camp with him and Scratch.
Epilogue Animations
(Thanks to @optiwashere's lovely response to my ask for the idea… this post wouldn’t have been a classic ramble without it!)
Based on the previous ask I answered if Kory winds up with her “bad ending” there will be a moment where Tav hears a rustling in the woods, and sees a green-eyed wolf. It growls at them—if Tav passes an animal handling check, the wolf looks at them with sad eyes and runs off. If they fail, the wolf snarls and snaps at them and runs off. That’s all you’ll see of her if she ends up with that bad end.
In any good ending, Kory will do the following:
Kory will have a little “druid huddle” with Jaheria and Halsin, discussing their preferred forms (Kory emphasizing Owlbear and Air Myrmidon).
Kory checks in with Halsin on how the Shadowlands is recovering.
Kory speaks to Withers about Arabella—he assures her that “the girl will be fine” and Kory is a little miffed when he won’t speak about it further.
Kory turns into a Cat to apparently discuses something eye-to-eye with Tara.
Kory turns into an owlbear and romps around the party with the no-longer-cub.
Kory gives big pets to Scratch.
Depending on what Kory winds up doing/who she might have hooked up with post-game (details in this post!) she has some additional stuff.
In any “Kory winds up in Avernus” ending:
Kory has chat with Gale about how the spell “plane shift” works, since she might need it to get them home soon.
Kory expresses delight over whomever is taking the Owlbear home, and laments that she wishes she could have been an option.
If just Kory and Karlach wind up in Avernus together their animations include:
Kory bemoaning that her outfit “looks ridiculous for this event.” Karlach: “I could always help you take it off, Soldier.” Kory: “Later! I wouldn’t mind a private swim before we have to go back.” Karlach: “Sounds like a plan.”
Karlach and Kory do a goofy little dance together.
Karlach and Kory have a little strategy session about getting those plans for her heart fix.
If Kory/Karlach/Wyll all wound up in Avernus:
Kory bemoans the outfits to Wyll. “Karlach’s looks good, ours are ridiculous!” Wyll: “I’d suggest you take something from the trunk but if we have to go back suddenly you’ll want the armor, not a dress shirt.” Kory: “Ugh, I know.”
The trio have a strategy huddle about getting the plans for Karlach’s heart and possibly getting rid of Mizora for good.
If Kory ends up on the Farm with Shadowheart:
If they adopt the Owlbear Kory is absolutly overjoyed and the two of them have an excited conversation about his dietary needs.
Kory has a conversation with Halsin and says “…she brought him home and named him Bubbles!” Halsin: “Oh ho, that’s sure to amuse the Oak Father.”
Kory has a brief conversation with Volo: Kory: “Shadowheart and I decided it would be easier to run a farm together so that’s what we did.” Volo: “And thus… they were… roommates.” Kory (tail thrashing) : “Why are you saying it that way?”
If Kory is a in charge of the garden in Baldur’s Gate:
She has a brief conversation where she slightly guilt trips Jaheira about how Kory sees Jaheira’s children more than she does.
She and Wyll have a positive conversation about the reconstruction of Baldur’s Gate.
Kory will encourage Astarion to come visit the gardens “We have night blooming flowers now; the Society of Brilliance helped me procure some from the underdark that would grow up here!”
11. What is your Tav’s go-to comfort food? Honestly, Kory spent so much time in the woods it’s a lot of basically nuts, berries, basic tree fruits, and leafy greens… and then Elminster shows up demanding cheese. Good cheese is revolutionary for Kory.
Have you ever had an apple/walnut/arugula salad without cheese? Then you add blue cheese or gouda or feta and suddenly it’s a whole different ballgame. Bam! Suddenly Kory’s got a whole new outlook on food. She tries a lot of new things on this journey, but that apple/cheese/walnut/arugula salad is her favorite.
Gale finds Kory jumping on the cheese train a little exasperating, honestly.
16. What do they do for fun, when not adventuring? What are their hobbies? Gardening! Kory adores cultivating herbs and flowers especially. Once she finds out “flower arrangement” is a thing (she’s never encountered that concept until Baldur’s Gate) she’ll try her hand at that, and eventually seasonal wreaths.
You know, once her girlfriend’s heart is fixed.
Thank you again for the asks, Bear!
If anyone else wants to ask something, the list is here!
My answers to 2, 3, 4, and 6 can be found in this post!

I could never in my life animate this to my satisfaction, but Korydass’ transformations take up a great deal of my thoughts.
For a lot of her forms she would transform mid-movement, scales seemingly peeling away like ginkgo leaves flying off a tree, bursting into motes of light behind her as she shifted.
Myrmidon forms a slightly different—it would essentially look like her scales had peeled off her, started orbiting, and reformed into the armor of the Myrmidon. While the scales were doing their thing her body would essentially be a shifting blob of light changing color and shape to match the base form of the elemental.

How did you choose the height for Korydass and why?
Is it connected to anything lore wise or just a preference?
I gotta throw back all the way to OG!Korydass for this one. As I mentioned in this post a while back, Korydass was originally created for a homebrew game where none of the standard 5th Ed Dragonborn stuff was relevant. Dragonborn were so extraordinarily rare that they were considered legends. Dragons were total myths. Korydass was basically a near-immortal thing that had emerged from few centuries of hibernation because “her wood” was being threatened by an imbalance in the world.
Her being seven feet tall was to give her this sense of being larger-than-life. Imagine her as almost an old god emerging from the depths of the forest, an enormous, unclothed dragon-person, covered in dirt and moss, taking in a deep breath and exhaling sparks of lightning as she wakes.
(Also, every player had a bit of an over-the-top background—one was a sky pirate captain, one was a strange cleric who had been contacting a dead-man-turned-god, etc.)
BG3 Kory is that tall because her previous incarnation was, lol!

If you still want some of the Tav Ask questions about Kory... how about 14, 15, and 18?
Thanks @optiwashere! I get to throw in some fun tidbits for these:
14. Where are they from? What was home like?
This one is interesting because Korydass can split her life (pre-tadpole) into two major “homes.”
The one I’ve already spoken about, her “Homewood” is nowhere special or in particular, nor is it any place in an official setting; the name I gave it was “The Thornlore Woods.” Having a lone dragonborn druid tending to it was probably the closest it got to having any claim to fame. As mentioned in another post, locals started calling it “The Green-Eyed Wood,” because of the number of animals with “strange green eyes” spotted there—all of them just Kory in a druid forms, watching those who passed through.
Kory didn’t have a set place she stayed in the wood, so much as she had stashes of supplies throughout. She knew where all the best nooks to nestle in were, without disturbing any of the animals that already lived there. There were a handful of animals she made regular conversation with: a few corvids, at least one boar, some bears, and the occasional deer. The nearest village was a few hours away by foot, shorter by flight. She’d go into town to barter supplies if she really needed it, and a handful of times helped lost or injured travelers out.
Her first home was her Grandsire’s sea cave, and had Kory been given a choice in the matter she might have never left.
Fayencrux didn’t hoard treasure so much as he had a wealth of books and art and other things that had once adorned his home when he spent his life with his wife. He even has a section of his cave that is built to be suited for an average-sized dragonborn to live in. Kory was hatched, named, and raised by her Grandsire, and spent most of her time there studying from books and learning from him. It wasn’t until later that she realized some of his teachings—particularly on social interactions—were out-of-date. That’s what happens when you’ve spent a few hundred years away from civilization in a prolonged period of mourning/depression.
Speaking of being out-of-touch, Fayencrux took dragonborn being “of age” at fifteen too literally—that was when he dumped Korydass on her own in the wild and forbid her from returning.
(Fayencrux no longer wishes to watch his descendants “wither and die like mayflies,” hence the complete banishment.)
Thus, Kory started her druidic path out of necessity, and kept to it because she found a peace in living as one with nature…
…also it was a great excuse to avoid people.
15. Is your Tav more likely to fight/flight/freeze/fawn?
Social situations: Freeze. Kory feels wildly inadequate when dealing with other humanoids, and when she isn’t completely frozen she defaults to manners that are so formal and also so antiquated that it probably would have been better to have stayed frozen.
In Combat: Fight. If you asked Korydass how she sees herself she would say something to the effect of “Guardian Druid” and she takes that “Guardian” part very seriously. She favors larger animal forms and puts herself between her friends and danger.
18. Where/with whom do they feel safest?
The too-easy “with whom” answer is Karlach, followed by the rest of the companions, because honestly… Kory didn’t have a lot of other contact with people before this whole tadpole shindig.
The more complicated answer is her Grandsire. Had he not thrown her out, Kory would have stayed attached to his hip for life. Not out of a sense of fear of the outside world, bit because he was kind and gentle for being what he was, and did always try to do right by her. His perspective was just… too different for that to work out well. (Korydass is better for having been forced from his side, though it certainly didn’t feel that way to her at the time).
Now, if you want to instantly see Kory happy and at peace, all you need to do is present her with a river deep enough to swim in, preferably near to a waterfall, with large, flat rocks on the shore. I am a sucker for adding lizard-like traits to Kory’s behavior beyond the quirks she’s picked up from other animals, and she will sun herself on rocks, then dive into the river to swim and cool off, then sun herself again and repeat this process for hours. If you don’t interrupt her, she will easily lose the whole day.
Thank you again for the asks, Opti!
If anyone else wants to ask something, the list is here!
My answers to 2, 3, 4, and 6 can be found in this post!

If Korydass met a Companion!Durge….
It was the abrupt shift in her body language that signaled to her companions that something was wrong. Kory stooped over, her shoulders pulling in, her tail stock still, the side of her mouth twitching with a suppressed snarl. Had she been in a Druidic form, one could easily imagine her ears pinned back—the natural sweep of her horns lent itself to that illusion even while she stood on two legs.
Karlach and Wyll’s hands went to their weapons almost immediately, Shadowheart inhaled, ready to chant an incantation. What stumbled from the brush was no ambush of goblins, but a sturdy, disturbed white dragonborn, his hands up in surrender.
Wyll released his rapier and started forward, “Ho there, do you need help?”
Kory’s claws shot out, grabbing Wyll with an unexpectedly iron grip, pulling him back. He began to protest, but Kory squeezed his arm twice, urgently, to silence him before releasing her hold.
“What’s the story, Soldier?” Karlach asked in a low growl. Her eyes flitted between Kory and the newcomer.
Kory whispered back urgently, “Whoever, whatever else he is, that is a predator.”
Shadowheart murmured, “A predator? Whatever does that mean?” Skepticism colored her tone, but she did not drop her guard.
The white dragonborn’s red eyes fixated on Kory. She met his gaze, nostrils flaring, scales shivering and shimmering like they often did right before she underwent a transformation.
Then the two dragonborn reeled away from each other; the discordant shriek of minds crashing together washed over the group. Kory slammed the connection shut as quickly as she could.
“Not a predator. Rabid!” Korydass snapped, baring her teeth at the stranger.
With an icy calm in his voice, the white dragonborn replied, “Yes. Yes, I think I am.”

Tav as a compnion 6,4,2 and 3? Pretty pease?
Thanks for the asks! 💕 Sorry it took a while but I went in-depth on (most of) these…
6. How would the player go about meeting them in Act 1? What is their introduction?
(You know, at first I was wondering why you asked for 6 first, but then I read the prompt—why wasn’t this 1 on the list?)
In the area of the sunlit wetlands, Tav & their current companions would see what appears to be a wounded dog lying on the ground—as Tav gets closer the narrator notes that it is not a dog, but actually a wolf (this happens regardless of if wetlands illusion is up or not). The player can then choose to try to help the wounded animal or back away.
If Tav chooses to back off—either because Shadowheart is in the party and alarmed or because of their own worries—a passive perception check triggers. A pass of this check reveals that behind Tav the wolf is transforming
If Tav chooses to lean in there is a harsh noise and a raven with bright green eyes dives at Tav, startling them away from the wolf and causes them to spin around following the bird, triggering that passive check…
…in both cases the raven then swoops in, and as she hits the ground Korydass' transformation drops. She whips up her staff to cast spike growth between the party and the “Wolf.” The Dragonborn says, without much preamble or explanation “Not a wolf—!” and then a fight starts between what is, in fact, a Shadow Druid and the party. The Shadow Druid is higher level but has already lost quite a few hit points.
After the fight Korydass is examining the body and murmurs something about not understanding why there are shadow druids here, and the player can then say “Would they be after the Grove?”
Kory is a little startled that Tav is still there and still paying attention, and asks “What Grove?"
This is how the party discovers that Kory is a lone druid, and was on the Nautiloid with them. Her thoughts are an absolute cacophony compared to her exterior presentation. She gets growly and snaps “NEVER do that again!” Then immediately seems cowed and murmurs that she’s sorry, that was rude.
(One of the fastest ways to tank Kory’s approval in the game is to prod her mind with the tadpole to figure out what she’s thinking, rather than wheedle it out of her via dialog trees and checks!)
2. Describe their tent setup! What’s on the outside? The inside?
Note: directions are based on if you were looking at the tent straight on!
In general, Kory’s tent is a wooden pergola made out of thick branches held together by living vines, rather than carpenter-crafted beams of wood. There is a herb-drying rack leaned up on the left side of it, and no matter where the crew sets up camp, there is a bed of grass and wildflowers expanding from the interior of the pergola our a short way into the environment. A roughly-hewn log table is on the left side of the entrance. On it is a mortar-and-pestle, an ink bottle and paper, a raven skull, a bundle of flowers, and some herbs (similar to the ones on the drying racks).
Kory’s tent would have a fairly distinct day vs. night difference!
During the daytime you can see closed pods on the vines, and the top of the pergola is open so that sunlight hits the flowers and grass inside the pergola.
At night the vines grow thick over the top of the pergola and the pods on the vines open to reveal gently-glowing blue flowers, and there are fireflies in the grasses and flowers.
3. What would their character quest be titled? Why?
The Dragonborn Druid
It’s obviously very on-the-nose, but so are “The Pale Elf” and “The High Harper,” etc. Etc.
Yes, I am dodging the further implications of that question…
4. What would your Tav’s romance scenes look like? How many would they have?
Deep inhale....
Hooooo boy you, you asked for it.
For reference: Korydass uses Voice 6, to give you the vibes of what she sounds like.
As mentioned in this thread Kory’s first full romance scene would be at or after the tiefling party, largely because she will turn against you and attack you if you kill the tieflings or the druids.
Paraphrasing from the original post: Once you hit the right approval level, every long rest or two Tav would find trinkets (perception highlight) next to their bedroll. If they ask Scratch/Owlbear cub about it they deny placing them. After a couple nights, Tav will catch a crow with vibrant green eyes placing this item there; the bird startles and flies off.
At the tiefling party Kory would present Tav with another gift; if asked about the crow/other gifts Kory becomes flustered. She admits that she’s not used to being around this many people and feels overwhelmed/isn’t sure how to talk to anyone, including Tav. If Tav expresses sympathy and suggests they take a break from the party/their companions (depending on when it triggers), the first romance scene launches.
The Act 1 romance scene largely revolves around Korydass expanding on her inability to to express her feelings more directly:
If Tav makes the mistake of volunteering that they could use the Tadpoles for communication, Korydass refuses [disapproval] and abruptly transforms into a crow and leaves, ending the scene. This will lead to an alternate scene the next evening [!] where Kory explains that while she’s not as fanatical about it as Lae’zel, she is vehemently against the tadpoles, and would rather die than turn into “An invasive parasitic species.” If Tav apologizes and promises not to suggest using the tadpoles, there’s enough of an approval bump to even out the disapproval from the previous scene—the consequence of this being if you later try to make any persuasion roles to get her to use the tadpoles/astral tadpole you get a DEEPER disapproval hit even if you are successful with the persuasion rolls!
If Tav suggests they simply talk about things they like, or declares that there’s no rush and they can just take in the the evening, Kory will be quiet for a bit [the narrator expands on the rhythm of breathing and idle movement of her claws] and then start pointing out constellations. She eventually points at one and trails her claw down from it in a particular direction, opposite of Baldur’s Gate and explains “That’s where my Homewood is,” and then points slightly off from that direction and says “…and that’s where I grew up.”
A very low-level passive insight check notes that she’s hiding some strange feelings about “where she grew up.” Tav can remain silent, ask her about it, or talk about where they grew up. There’s an approval bump for the third option.
Shortly after she’ll note that they should probably get some rest and stand up. When Tav does so she asks “Um, what do people typically do at the end of an evening like this?”
Here Tav can essentially say “walk back together” [the “let her down easy” option] “embrace” or “A good-night kiss wouldn’t go amiss,” [Tav/Kory follow through with the action, and there’s a big smile from both and pan up to the stars/fade to back].
There’s a bonus Act Two Kory romantic scene under very particular conditions: Halsin’s quest cannot be resolved yet, and the party needs to be long resting in the Last Light Inn area. Essentially Tav hears a lot of thumping and investigates—to see Kory is aggressively pulling draws out of bureaus and checking in dressers and grumbles about Inns “always having spare beard oil or horn brushes but never what I need,” and scratching at her horns. There’s a passive perception test here. Failing the perception you can ask her “Do you need help?”/ “What are you looking for?”/ or remain silent.
A success will note that she seems to be trying to pick grit out of between the scale-plates on her horns and neck. There are two unique options here: [Dragonborn]: “Do you need help with scale care?” [Tiefling/Wyll]: “Do you need help with horn care?” if you are neither you can ask her “Is something stuck in there?” Kory will react with a loud “YES!” which visibly startles Tav, and she apologizes.
In all cases she winds up explaining that she’s been incredibly stressed out since you arrived in the Shadowlands because “Something has so deeply wounded nature here.” While she would normally throw herself into a body of water and—she admits this with some embarrassment—scratch up against bushes to get the grit or grime out of her scales, she can’t do that here because of the curse. Tav can then offer up a brush that they have in their pack and help Kory clean up… the scene doesn’t turn spicy because Kory winds up being so soothed/comforted by the assistance she winds up nodding off, and in her embarrassment upon waking, she blurts out at thank you, turns into a cat and darts away.
Act 2 has a spicy romance scene, but it can only trigger AFTER Halsin’s quest is resolved. The romance and her attitude going forward are directly affected by how that is resolved. Success at fixing the curse means Kory still stays soft and kind but is more outspoken and open with her friends. Failure means Kory shifts into a more… feral creature, resenting those around her and becoming territorial. The scene reflects this change by starting with Kory either expressing relief that she can feel the potential for healing return to the land, or Kory declaring that “People broke this place, and they would not, could not heal it. Now it will break them, and they will not heal.”
Feral!Kory’s romantic encounter boils down to her wanting to feel something in this desolation. It is ultimately leading into her Bad Ending.
Korydass otherwise is bubbling, joyful, showing Tav with druidcrafted flowers that nature is already healing, though it’s imperfect as Kethric still lives. She turns to Tav and exclaims, “I’m so happy I could kiss everyone!” Then she looks a little sheepish and says “I will, um, refrain as that’s extremely forward and inappropriate… but I would like to kiss you? And… maybe more?”
[Cue the mood lighting and romantic music]
The Act 3 romantic scene takes a bit more time to get.
When you first encounter Exxvikyap in Gyldro’s shop, there’s a variable event (with the same ultimate outcome). If Kory is with you, Exxvikyap will ask “Oh! Here for the Fayencrux order?” Kory, startled, says no, and Exxvikyap insists that it is ready already, so she should take it [it is a decorative piece of armor with no stats]. If Kory is not in the party, Tav can say “Oh I know a Bronze dragonborn like you,” to which Exxvikyap says “No, no, I’m brass, easy mistake to make! But… bronze dragonborn around here, you must be talking about the Fayencrux clan! I have an order for them but I can’t leave Gyldro alone with the shop… here, can you take to them?”
If Kory is not in the party, and Tav does not mention Bronze dragonborn, as the group is departing, Exxvikyap will bemoan that the Fayencrux order is done and nobody has come to pick it up yet. One of the companions will mentions Kory’s surname is Fayencrux, prompting Exxvikyap to foist off the armor on Tav & company.
At the end a series of events that are not romance-related (Feral!Korydass will break off the relationship with Tav at the conclusion of those), Tav finds Korydass in the Baldur’s gate park, sitting on the grass, basking in the dappled sunlight. The general conversation is about belonging at the conclusion of which Kory says “…you’re my family. You’re my home.”
After a kiss Kory lays her head in Tav’s lap and the camera follows a trail of flowers growing out from where they both sit.

I hope you find that all that interesting Anon!
...And for my own sake I’m going to beg that anyone who wants to ask any of these to send them in separate asks in the future. I DON’T mind if you want to ask about multiple numbers, just send them in one-by-one, I beg you. I wound up spending soooo much time on this and I really would have liked to spaced these out, hahaha. 💕
One further note: I would prefer any depictions of a “feral” Kory are NOT done by others. I have included it as a “Bad Ending” idea to be thematic with the concept of companions in BG3 but I do not enjoy that idea nor would I depict it outside of an ask like this.
