Finished re-readin' Shaman King, having the ending on Book for the first time ! It was the greatest story of all time

-- Actually, I think it's a little better in the beginning--before all the Alive Powder, etc.--but it's still pretty cool

-- Their oversouls were more interesting before they became the elemental warriors; everyone already does that with the elements [earth/fire/water/air].           Shifting in the blanket as Opacho makes her way over to Nicole, she lifts her arm and the blanket before draping both of them over the child and holding her close. They both have their books, Opacho likes animals so Nicole got her quite a few books on them. She herself is reading up on mythical creatures. Dragons, fae, the likeness of them.

          It seems like the more and more time they spend with each other, the more Opacho warms up to her in her own little way. Before, the child simply tolerated Nicole and her presence. Now she seeks her out. It was nice, it was actually really nice to have quite little moments like this.

          Giving her a gentle little squeeze, Nicole settles back before going back to her book, now one handed and resting flat on her lap.
