so i sent my friends a very long message about an episode of fraggle rock i had just watched and believe some people on here might like it so here:

im also gonna say this here cause idk where else but i just watched the episode “the river of life” where doc lets people test a system that will dispose of chemical waste i think into the tunnels under his house, believing that since there’s nothing under there itll be safe. and there are some very interesting things that happen that i just really want to point out

first of all: due to the water all the fraggles get super sick and are unable to do anything, other than boober who avoided the water. boober ends up doing a lot of things he’d normally never have the courage to do in order to save everyone (go boober go)

second: the water pollution is negatively affecting the gorgs too. they first blame the fraggles which causes them to grab boober, who then explains that it’s the silly creatures. any episode where one of the species around the rock talk peacefully to eachother is amazing to me. also raises the stakes for boober cause now hes saving the gorgs too

third: sprocket is very against what docs doing and spends the episode protesting. when doc tells him that he needs actual proof that there are things living in the tunnels, sprocket is at the hole trying to call for someone. its very sweet, he considers the fraggles his friends now :)

fourth: boober thinks the silly creatures are mad at the fraggles for taking the postcards, so he returns them, wrapped in moss. this is docs first clue that there actually IS something living in the hole, something that’s been taking those postcards he’s been throwing away for years… somethings in there doc 👀

an additional thing: boobers “begging and groveling” that he does to the silly creatures (when doc is sadly out of the room) is very heart breaking :( BUT ALSO! what if doc HAD been there?? au time ig hehe
