Clouseau‚ complete with brownface accent and head wobble. in 1988. a genuinely shocking #decision and audaciously offensive considering this is a film actually made in India and with a largely Indian cast; absolutely mind #boggling stupidity and Brill's deeply insensitive performance kills the film stone dead whenever he's onscreen. to be approached with #caution‚ if at all.

The government hospitals in all districts of Uttar Pradesh will now have dedicated wards reserved for members of the transgender community. They would also be issued identity cards to help them bag benefits of various government welfare schemes, informed officials aware of the development.In Prayagraj, five-bed reserved wards for members of transgender community have been set up at four hospitals comprising SRN Hospital, Tej Bahadur Sapru (Beli) Hospital, Motilal Nehru Divisional (Colvin) Hospital and Dufferin Hospital (District Women’s Hospital), informed chief medical officer, Prayagraj Dr Nanak Saran.Taking forward the mission to help transgenders in UP join the mainstream, now they would also be issued identity cards by respective district administration across the state.

The work of making and issuing identity cards for members of the transgender community has already kick- started in Prayagraj, informed district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri.

So far, identity cards have been issued to three individuals belonging to the transgender community in the district. The identity cards will help them avail benefits of all government welfare schemes they are eligible for, he added.

Member of the Uttar Pradesh Kinnar Welfare Board and Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada, Kaushalya Nandgiri aka Tina Maa said that these initiatives of the state government would greatly help members of the transgender community to get basic facilities and support needed to move ahead with rest of the society while leading a life of dignity.

Intertextuality in Taming of the shrew and Sanam teri kasam

The main character : - Saru as Catherine - Kaveri as Bianca - İnder as Petrucio Intertextuality is the shaping of a text’s meaning by another text, either through deliberate compositional strategies such as quotation, allusion, calque, plagiarism, translation, pastiche or parody, or by interconnections between similar or related works perceived by an audience or reader of the text . Intertextuality allows us to draw on existing ideas to create interesting new works and these texts are strongly influenced by society and culture. Shakespeare’s plays are some of the most well-known and adapted texts. His play Taming of the Shrew written in 1590 was adapted in 1999 into the film directed by Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru, Sanam teri kasam. Adopted from the film Taming of the Shrew, Sanam Teri Kasam brings a more modern story. Even though in the Sanam Teri Kasam film the players have slightly different characters, but their roles are the same as the players in the Taming of the Shrew film, that’s why I think this Sanam Teri Kasam film is adapted from the Taming of the Shrew film . Both films tell the story of love life, marriage and community culture. Similarities and differences between the two films Similarity : • Between the films, Sanam Teri Kasam and The Taming of the Shrew, it tells the story of a younger sister who is liked by many men, but she cannot marry before her sister is married. Meanwhile, no man wants to marry her sister. • The character of Catherine in The taming of the shrew with Saru in Sanam teri kasam both are equally melted with a man who has a strong background.

Differences : • The difference between the Sanam Teri Kasam film and The Taming of the Shrew is that Saru's character in Sanam Teri Kasam is more friendly, feminine, weak, and easy, while Catherine's character in The Taming of the Shrew is firm, indifferent, and behaves like a man. and fierce. • In addition, Saru has a dream man in her heart which means she has a crush on a man but no son wants to be with her, while Chaterine doesn't get married right away because she really doesn't like men. • Then another difference is that in the Sanam Teri Kasam film, no man wants to marry Saru because his appearance is not beautiful, while in The Taming of the Shrew there is no man who wants to marry Catherine because she is too fierce. • In the end Kaveri was able to get married before Saru got married because Saru had her own way that made him removed from her family while in The Taming of the Shrew, Catherine did not care about other people so the younger sister remained unmarried until her sister married.
