had a really funny idea for an ask blog ft. Vanny and another plex employee oc,,
#Get this right. 2 pizzaplex employees accidentally get tumblr famous bc someone has been leaving weird graffiti everywhere and#Getting up to other shenanigans and sends asks abt it to this one like urban exploration blog. Who later gets an ask basically like#Hey I work at the plex?? This is some insider info only another employee would know????#The two anons are constantly back and forth in this persons inbox and are eventually assigned nicknames#‘Pix’ for the mystery vandalism employee because she shows up as nothing but weird pixels and glitches on cameras#The other employee is ‘Cam’ because they have been monitoring all this on the cameras#One day they get each others blogs and keep sending each other death threats and shit jokingly but one day pix warns cam not to go to a#Weird late staff meeting#The next night it is literally just the two of them and they think this is so funny they start a blog trying to uncover why everyone else#Just isn’t coming in. At first they are like well layoffs duhhhh#But then ppl send asks and messages like ‘hey have u seen this employee it’s my brother/friend/etc’ and they realize shit is actually going#On in here#One night cam is live-blogging their shift and sees a weird intruder in a costume with a knife and runs around eventually escaping and find#Pix lying at the bottom of a stairwell unconscious with a bloody nose later#Takes pix to the hospital. Only to be alone in the plex the next night and suddenly get a phone call saying that pix left the hospital. Bc#Pix left cam as the emergency contact because ‘she didn’t have anyone else’.#Cam has to survive the masked intruder#eventually starts recording everything but when the intruder gets closer the footage gets glitchier#Eventually there’s just one fuzzy image of the intruder with Roxy and Monty standing on either side and that’s the last we hear of cam. Nex#Post is pix saying hehe thanks for following our little story aha !! Bye now it’s over!! And that’s it…..heheheheh#Killer rab blog has become a little boring for me so… might start this soon….#I’d have to make like 2 blogs plus some fake dms too probably . Damn

A Question For The Shadow
plotted starter for @mute-call
Jeremy had been doing relatively fine with the night shift. Holding his own and staying alive against all the animatronics with not a lot of confusion or fear up until the other night when he had seen something he’d never been told about prior.
Everything was going as he expected and by now Jeremy was so in tune with things that he hardly flinched when Toy Chica peeked from the vent or Withered Bonnie was right before the desk. He just put on the Freddy Head and waited until he knew they had left.
However around 5AM? Was it? When all the ‘withered’ gang were out of the parts & service. Jeremy pulled up the monitor and quickly went through the cams only to stop on parts & service when he saw Withered Freddy sitting against the wall. But that couldn’t be Freddy because he just saw the damn bear on another camera and he certainly didn’t just magically become a dark shade of purple. He’d been pretty shaken up for the remaining hour afterwards.
As much as he just wanted to forget what he saw and just carry on with being such a flawless and picture perfect nightwatch-man the image just wouldn’t leave his mind. He had to ask someone.
So here he was. Gently knocking on the door of his fellow employee’s office.
“Uhm. Mr.Bell? May I come in? I wish to ask a question or two but if you don’t have the time right now that’s alright!!”
The man nervously fiddled with his tie as he awaited an answer. He must seem a fool! Really! Having been such a great employee who hardly asked any questions yet suddenly now he has something to ask? Idiot.

I'm a big fan of your work and your Hawks too, the way you write him is adorable. Since your requests are open, what about an extra jealous Hawks x hero reader where they like each other (but they're oblivious) and during a mission another hero (call it fatgum or jeanist or whoever) keeps hitting on her and at the end that hero helps her or rescue her after she gave her best, Hawks was busy doing his job but not busy enough to see everything.
I hope you like my idea! I'm a sucker for hero reader and Hawks. I just think working with him must be cool!
Oh my gosh you’re so sweet thank you anon 🥺❤️ I’m also a sucker for hero reader and Hawks. I love the idea of him being able to work alongside his s/o because work is such a huge part of his life so being able to integrate those two parts of himself would be so major. Anyway! I hope you enjoy this request <3 sorry it took me five years to write 💀 it basically turned into a wholeass fic
Hawks watches you laugh at something Fatgum has said for the third time since you two walked into the gala from inside an HPSC-issued surveillance van and he hates it. He knows you’re just playing the role of Fatgum’s date for this stupid sting operation but that doesn’t mean seeing you hanging off someone else’s arm is any easier. And why did Fatgum have to flirt so much? The other man had been a little too eager to volunteer to be your pretend date and frankly Hawks is still annoyed with the HPSC for mandating he not be the one to go in with you. He’s too known for his stealth capabilities now, they’d said, sending him in would tip the wealthy and suspect hosts of the gala off that the heroes may be on to the shadier side of their business dealings. If you ask Hawks he’s not sure why he’s being punished for being too good at his job when the HPSC are the ones who bragged about it to the public. Still, Hawks is nothing if not professional so he’s kept his mouth shut and his emotions schooled as he monitors the cameras and audio feeds from the event.
He lives up to his namesake as his eyes scour the screens for signs of trouble so he notices immediately when there’s a sudden flurry of activity in the camera by the luxe mansion’s vault. He honed in on it, noting how harried the employees seem as they rush to move something large and heavy from the vault. His eyes narrow as the tarp covering the object slips just long enough for him to spot the metal carrying crate it’s hiding. It’s not hard for him to figure out they must be moving the arms they planned to sell, a quick check of the loading dock cams revealing a truck rapidly being backed into the space. It’s odd. The arms deal isn’t supposed to happen for another week, so why are they in such a rush to get everything out of the house?
His eyes widen as he realizes the true intentions of your and Fatgum’s attendance must have been discovered. Immediately he’s on the comms unit, the static crackling as it takes a second to calibrate itself. Finally Fatgum answers.
“What is it Hawks what’s wrong?”
“You’ve been made, get out.”
Gunfire rings out through the courtyard the gala is being held in and shortly afterwards Hawks’ camera there goes out. He curses, trying to get a hold of Fatgum and you on the comms with no luck. He’s about to go flying in after you when his eyes instinctively go back to the monitor showing the metal cases being hauled out of the vault. Millions of dollars worth of black market weapons and quirk enhancing drugs, all being stacked in the hallway. If it gets to the waiting truck out back it’ll be in the wind. By the time they track down the deal and location again the items will already be back on the market or in the wrong hands. All of the hard work put into this operation will be for nothing.
His heart is terrified for you, wants him to drop everything and soar towards your location to take you away and save you. But he had a job to do and none of you can afford for that truck to get away. So when Hawks makes his way out of the security van, he flies the opposite direction from the gala itself and towards the loading dock instead. He’ll just have to trust that you and Fatgum have things handled on your end.
It’s a good thing Hawks made the call he did. He arrives just in time to stop the truck, round up all of the villains at the dock, and confiscate the contraband. Again he ignores the way his heart yearns to check in on you to make positively certain that the police officers who have arrived have everything covered. Only once they’ve assured him they can take over does he start to walk back towards the courtyard where you’re, hopefully, waiting for him.
The sight waiting for him when he arrives both fills him with relief and makes his heart drop. You and Fatgum both look roughed up but the older pro is entirely focused on you, checking you over for injuries as you rest a hand on his arm and assure him you’re fine. With his wings he can pick up on your conversation long before you notice his approach.
“Relax Taishiro, I’m ok. Thanks to you I might add. Thank god you were there,” you sigh, giving the man in question a reassuring smile.
“Alright but don’t scare me like that again ya hear?” He replies, finally stopping his check over although he doesn’t move out of your space.
“Hear you loud and clear,” you laugh.
It hurts but he swallows it down, turning and heading towards the security van instead of you. You were just fine with Taishiro there, so why should he interrupt the moment just because he harbored unrequited feelings? All that matters to him is that you’re happy and that’s exactly how you looked just now. He wouldn’t ruin that for you. Even if it left him feeling aching and lonely.
“Hawks!”
Keigo startles at the sound of your voice, turning in the direction of its source only to see you rushing towards him, leaving Fatgum behind. He barely has time to register your approach before you’re crashing into him at full speed, almost bowling him over as you wrap him in a tight hug.
“Don’t scare me like that again!” you demand, easing your grip just enough so you can look him in the eye as you say it.
“What? What do you mean, Kid?” Hawks asks, genuinely bewildered.
“Don’t ‘Kid’ me, do you realize how worried I was about you when the comms went out?”
“No? I was fine.”
“But what if you weren’t?”
He’s surprised at the genuine level of emotion in your voice. There was infinitely more evidence that you were the one in trouble so why did you seem just as frantic to check in on him as he’d been to check on you just moments ago?
“I’m fine, ok? You didn’t have to worry about me, you were the one in real danger. I’m glad you got out safe,” he assures you, although his soothing tone is carefully masking his bemusement.
You nod, squeezing him a little tighter for a moment before finally releasing him and stepping away, as if suddenly aware of just how long you’d been hugging him. He selfishly didn’t want it to end but that wouldn’t be fair to you or Fatgum so he doesn’t reel you back in the way he wants to. You seem to come to a realization then, eyes narrowing at Hawks as your worry clears and anger takes its place.
“Hold up, were you about to just leave without saying anything?” you ask incredulously.
Hawks gives you a sheepish goofy smile as he shrugs.
“You and Fatgum were having a moment, I didn’t wanna interrupt!”
His tone is light but the words burn as he says them. The way your brows furrow, head tilting like a confused puppy, doesn’t help matters. God Fatgum is a lucky man.
“What are you talking about bird brain?”
“You don’t have to play dumb, I heard you and Taishiro earlier. I’m happy for you.”
He means it. It hurts but he means it.
“I’m- hold on. Is this because I called him by his first name?” you ask incredulously.
“Yes?”
“I call everyone by their first name,” you huff with a roll of your eyes.
“You don’t call me by mine.”
The words are out of his mouth before he can stop them and he almost immediately wishes he could take them back. They’re too sad, too obvious that he wishes it was him in Fatgum’s place.
“You never told me yours,” you explain softly, starting to realize that you’re missing what feels like a vital piece of this conversation.
“Everyone knows my first name Kid, it was national news,” he chuckles but it tastes bitter. He may not have been conscious when Dabi made the announcement but he still remembers every moment, every curious or judgmental stare, that came afterwards.
“Yea but you didn’t consent to that and you never told me your name,” you insist.
“Oh.”
He doesn’t know what to do with this information. His mind spins as he tries to align all the puzzle pieces he’s suddenly had dropped in his lap in just these past few minutes.
“It’s, uh, it’s Keigo.”
“Welcome to first name privileges Keigo. I didn’t realize they meant that much to you.”
“Yea well, wanted to be part of you and Taishiro’s club. It looked like a lot of fun.”
He means it as a joke but you completely ignore his teasing tone, eyes narrowing as if you’re analyzing Keigo extra hard.
“Keigo?”
His name sounds so perfect coming from your lips.
“Yea?”
“Are you… Jealous?”
Internally he freaks out, heart racing in his chest when he realizes he’s been caught out. Externally he doesn’t flinch.
“Nah, you know me. I’m not the jealous type!”
“Oh well that’s too bad.”
His heart literally stops in his chest, mask cracking for a moment as he looks at you stunned.
“What do you mean, Kid?” he asks hesitantly, voice embarrassingly airy as he speaks.
“Well if you were jealous,” you pause, shoring up all the confidence you can muster to finish your sentence.
“Well if you were jealous it might just mean you like me back, y’know?” you admit with a nervous chuckle.
Keigo closes the distance between you two in just a couple short strides, hands coming up to caress your cheeks as he searches your eyes for any hint of a lie or a joke.
“I was so fucking jealous you wouldn’t believe,” he admits breathlessly and suddenly your lips are crashing together in a kiss you’ve both dreamt of for too long.
From a distance Taishiro watches you both, sees the moment you start to put the pieces together about Keigo’s true feelings. When you and Keigo kiss Taishiro smiles, glad he was right that the two of you just needed a little push.
A/N: AHHHHHH I don’t usually put author’s notes at the bottom of requests but this one ended up so long it seemed fitting. I loved writing this, can’t believe I finally got it out. Thank you so much for being patient

P2 A Nice Catch
Part 1 here
(NOT A PROMPT)
Oooh, A Nice Catch was *chef's kiss*. Could you continue it? Maybe completely, not thinking straight, grief-stricken villain goes after Supervillain and the supervillain hurts him because the villain is very dangerous/angry and then maybe the Supervillain has to caretaker because they have a bleeding, sobbing villain at his feet.
Sorry if that seems bossy or specific, but i really loved the piece and my brain went haywire with all the possible endings. But do whatever you want to.
Not bossy at all <3
******
Flashing red lights on a Saturday. Supervillain sighed. The sound was probably the most obnoxious part of it all. No matter. Needs to be dealt with. Even his thoughts were gruff and tired. He would never admit it to anyone else but tracking down that little rat and weakening her was difficult. No wonder Villain struggled with her so much. Doesn’t explain how he developed feelings for someone so righteous though.
‘I don’t know what your life has entailed but there are other ways of healing. I can help you.’ Hero had said to him upon being captured.
Healing. Supervillain scoffed as he urged himself off the couch, turning the television off, and flipping off the lights, trying to make the quarters look vacant. There were various other electronics still on, but they were necessary for security- which was currently blaring.
I don’t need healing. I need power. Power to take down all those shitty, rich neighbourhoods. What good were they when so many people were left on the streets, starving, and begging for pocket change? The rich didn’t care, and for it they would perish. Villain used to agree.
Now, Villain was bent on a ‘The rich are a necessary part of the economy. Without them, there would be a middle class and the rest of the economy profits off the middle class,’ idea.
With a grumble, Supervillain left his lounging area, walking instead to the monitor room.
“Camera one, good. Camera two, fine. Cam three. Four. Five. Six. Then why the hell are the alarms going off?”
Not a single room revealed even a twitch of movement or a breeze to rattle lobby plants.
Ker-pshhh. The radio. The only other people working right now were part of the security faction. Meaning, Supervillain needed to respond, especially since the radio was going off. He grabbed the speaker off the side of the metal box and brought it to his mouth while holding the button. “What is it?” It no doubt had to do with the alarms.
“Sir? There’s been a breach in Building 2, third hall monitoring room. One body confirmed to be dead.”
“Any others?”
“No response from Radios 8 through 13. I’m in room Fourteen now…Sir? I think I’m next.”
Supervillain pinched his brow. “Have you gotten into contact with Buildings 3 and 4 yet?”
“No response from them. I’d gotten the alert from Radio 21 and sent it to Building 1 as soon as I got it. I don’t know who it is, Sir, but if they’ve made it as far as they have then I’m afraid-”
There was a crash on the other end of the radio before it cut out. Supervillain cursed under his breath before slamming a hand on the counter before him. He squeezed the button on the radio. “Whoever you are,” Supervillain growled into the speaker, “you’re dead.”
Silence.
Silence.
Silence.
Ker-pshhh.
“Oh, I’m very much alive,” a voice said. A voice which made Supervillain groan and slap his forehead with the blunt of his hand.
“Villain, what the hell are you doing?” His voice was more disappointed than anything and he released yet another groan. “Don’t tell me this is because of the rat.”
It didn’t take a second for Villain to respond. “She isn’t a rat.”
Isn’t. Oh boy, this was a case of grief, wasn’t it? “You didn’t dress her up and put her in your kitchen to eat breakfast with, did you?” Supervillain joked. “Probably had to spritz her with some of your cologne a few times, huh? Would smell like rotten meat otherwise.”
“You must want me to kill you. It’s why you tried to kill her, isn’t it? Isn’t it? You’re sick of living this sad and vengeful life, so you did the one thing that would piss me off enough to do this- to sabotage your own business.”
“Villain, old buddy, you’re in over your head.” A sigh. “I killed her, alright? She’s dead.” Supervillain refrained from calling Hero a rat for another time, seeing as it sent Villain over the edge. “And it was for your own good. You were becoming weak, and your business was falling because of it. Do you even realize how much fell apart all because you let her slither into your heart?”
“The old boxing pit on Third Street,” Supervillain explained, “underwent construction shortly before you were about to buy it. You know what was left at the scene- what the media didn’t cover? A mallet with Hero’s DNA on the handle. She smacked at the foundation, Villain, until it was bad enough to need repaired. What’d you go and do then? You bought a greenhouse instead- reported to your employees that it would benefit them because they wouldn’t need to go buy a lunch for themselves. She manipulated you, Villain, into someone you’re not.”
“She helped me become the best person I could be,” Villain gritted out, but his voice sounded with an echo. Supervillain paid it little mind.
“The rat changed your priorities.”
“They needed to be changed.” Supervillain squeezed his eyes shut, grimacing at the door slamming against a wall as Villain came crashing in. Well, that’s why I heard his voice twice. Once through a radio, and second through the door.
“That’s gonna cost you, but I tell you what.” Supervillain spun on a heel and told Villain, “You go in halfsies and I’ll let this whole thing slide.”
Nothing could have stopped the fist which Villain sent towards Supervillain, one nearly bone-crushing. One which sent Supervillain staggering back into his radio, pushing it up against the wall with a bang.
“I’m the one in the position to grant mercy, not you.” Villain began walking towards Supervillain as he regained himself but as Villain raised a fist, his old friend launched a hand of his own forward, grasping it tightly. In Villain’s shock, he lacked the response to pull away, and was instead pulled towards Supervillain while being turned, his back flush against Supervillain’s chest, his arm skewered behind his own back.
Of course, Villain fought against his old friend, wanting nothing other than to send another fast-flying fist in Supervillain’s face…or his groin.
“Villain. Villain, hey!” This made the more vengeful of the two cease his struggle. “Look, I know you’re mad, alright? You loved the ra- Hero, and you were blinded by that love, so much so that it clouded your judgement. It happens to the best of us, Villain.”
“You killed her.” Villain gave another jerk, this time with a tear in his eye. Realizing such raw emotion was leaking out, he corrected himself with a shout, “She was everything I had!”
Supervillain sighed, tightening his grip as Villain continued fighting him. “Yeah…you said that one before.” Supervillain let go, not waiting a moment before pushing Villain’s back, causing him to stumble forward, nearly passing through the door which he left open when he so rudely barged in. “Villain, listen to me, bud. You are better off without her. That love you felt was going to cause you to lose everything you worked so hard to build, and even if that weren’t the result, you would always have this internal conflict- to do-”
“To do the right or wrong thing?” Villain seethed, righting himself against the doorframe which Supervillain pushed him towards. “Supervillain, we’ve been doing wrong this whole time! Nothing we have done has been good by any moralistic means. We kill people.”
We kill people. Supervillain could almost laugh at the irony. “You killed at least one of my men today. One, which was confirmed out of twenty-eight. You’re just as bad as me.”
“Because you killed the one person in this world I could ever find myself loving.”
“You depended on her dammit! Don’t you see what I’m seeing? You don’t even know who you are without her coaxing her own ideas into your ear. You needed this. You needed her gone.”
“I needed her.” Villain’s voice finally broke like the day Hero was killed, when she was shoved through without remorse, discarded like a candy wrapper, and called a ‘rat’ without pause. “I needed her, and you stole her from me.”
Can’t bring her back, now, can I? But Supervillain didn’t say this, for he knew it was entirely pointless. Villain would just keep repeating those same few phrases, which Supervillain heard as, ‘I’m sad. You’re a monster and I can’t acknowledge myself as one. I miss my crutch and my ankle is always broken. Blah. Blah, blah. Blah, blah.’
“You need someone who you can rely on, who can rely on you just as easily, Villain.” Now onto the more sensitive topic once again. “I don’t remember you stepping forward to help Hero when she was shaking beneath my arm. You loved her, but not enough to sacrifice what we have here. We’re friends, Villain. We’ll always be friends. No one knows you as well as I and no one knows me as well as you.”
“Come sit down with me,” Supervillain finished. “In the lobby. I’ve got a few fridges, one with your name on it- literally. You stopped coming around, but I keep a stock of that weird soda you like.”
Supervillain was so casual, so friendly. It was as if he actually cared, had wanted to continue being friends, and had done everything he could to be friends. As much as him killing Hero hurt, as much as Villain wanted to hate him for it…it seemed as though Supervillain did it to help. Because Villain did rely on Hero, didn’t he? He looked to her for everything- even what food to buy. And the timing of the boxing pit was odd; what if Hero really did destroy it so that Villain would buy something else? Something that catered more to her own thoughts and reasoning than his own?
“I’ll sit down for one soda,” Villain said. “One.”
******
@digitalart-tw I considered being kind and bringing the Hero back. I really did. But the evil runs rampantly through my veins and knows no end.

just a tip for lïfters out there, some good intel on 0ffic3 d3p0t ~
My boyfriend has been a manager there for 6 years and I worked there for a year. Combined, he & I both worked in about 10 different locations (associates for d3p0t get transferred or work at diff stores all the time).
They have a no-chase policy!! They will try to get you to give stuff back in the store but there’s no real LP, just regular associates & managers. So if you get out, you’re golden. They won’t try to get your plates or anything either. Cameras are definitely all real but there’s plenty of blind spots. RFID tagging is infrequent, but spider wraps are super common and HARD to get off, so I don’t recommend trying to take super high dollar items. Also, many of the boxes of expensive items that are encased in the plastic boxes are EMPTY so don’t kill yourself trying to open those acrylic containers just to get an empty box. Most items of high value are kept locked up. If you were to take one of those acrylic boxes to a register, they’d go to lockup to get the actual item. So don’t bother with that. Also a lot of 0D stores have a single bathroom rather than stalls, so it’s worth checking bc it’s an awesome opportunity to be able to go in & double check for any tagging and body conceal without worrying if anyone is listening.
The main thing to keep in mind with 0D though is that the stores communicate with each other VERY well!! So you might get away with lïftîng some stuff at one store, but if you think a camera caught you, steer super clear of other 0D stores because they generally send out memos to all the store managers in a given region (sometimes in a whole state, depending) when they see someone lïft on camera. They send screenshots of the person to all stores & tell them to pay attention for that particular person. So when lïftîng from 0D, make sure to wear your mask, change bags if you go to diff stores, do some sort of disguise work if you think you’ll be on camera. Also keep in mind that 0ffic3 m4x is the SAME company so they communicate w/each other. Cams are monitored relatively frequently, I’d say about ~50% of the time. Inventory is kept of all items except clearance. Clearance items they would never know were missing.
Last but not least, they treat their employees like SHIT so have a field day and rob those mfs blind. 💗if you have any questions reach out, I’ll answer anything I know!

Top 5 Advantages of Using Dash Cameras in the Workplace
Fleet camera systems have become a vital component of many businesses as a way of managing and monitoring their fleet of vehicles. Businesses have discovered that using a fleet management software solution has greatly reduced insurance premiums by identifying the most risky drivers. A professional fleet management software system has the ability to generate reports on vehicle speeds, fuel consumption, fuel mileage, vehicle maintenance, driver records, and much more, all of which can greatly assist fleet managers in making informed decisions about vehicle usage. Businesses have realized the value of a good fleet management system, not only in cutting insurance costs but also improving customer service, reducing productivity and increasing profitability. With so much riding on good management, fleet managers are always on the lookout for ways to improve their fleet's efficiency and productivity.
In addition to tracking vehicle speeds and miles logged on the fleet card, some fleet camera systems have the ability to trigger a number of special events. Deep learning technology makes it possible for these special events to be pre-programmed before they occur, providing a highly customized and effective solution to fleet management. One example of this capability is providing real time information on driver reoccurring work issues, saving the company additional time spent analyzing driver behavior. Other events include preventing the need to send out driver work orders, saving time that could have been spent communicating work detail updates to drivers.
For companies considering investing in fleet camera systems, a great first step is to develop a driver and vehicle behavior event collection strategy. This includes collecting information on past events, such as accidents, reckless driving, completion of required tasks, completion of work requirements, etc. The goal is to develop a breadcrumb trail of driver behavior events. Once a driver has completed their work requirements, document that completion occurred and where in the process the driver moved from their original position. These data sets can then be integrated with each company's fleet camera systems to determine the cause of excessive speeding, excessive stop time, or non-conformities with work requirements.
A second goal of developing dash cams with fleet camera systems is to reduce driver error by improving line operations. In an auto-less system, if a driver is late to a destination, the GPS in the fleet camera systems will automatically notify the control center, alerting the driver that they are late to the destination. Likewise, if a driver is not meeting required hours for their shift, they will also be notified, allowing the company to re-plan their employee rotations accordingly. This saves time, reduces employee turnover, and allows drivers to meet their minimum hours for each shift, saving money in pay for the company.
Automotive fleet management software systems help to streamline operations and track every driver and every vehicle. They also can provide real-time visibility into operations to ensure everything is running smoothly. Since a fleet manager has up to date information about each and every truck and every single vehicle in their fleet at any given moment, they can make better decisions as to what to do when certain circumstances arise. For instance, a manager might notice that one of their most reliable drivers is rarely arriving on time. By having dash cam footage of this driver at their location, the manager can determine that they are not meeting their schedule, re-plan their routes, send extra staff to the driver's location, and solve the problem before it becomes a serious one that causes the truck driver to miss a couple of days of work.
Fleet managers that choose to go with vehicle-mounted camera systems have a great deal at risk if they fail to properly monitor their fleets. Without having access to real-time video footage, it is nearly impossible for a fleet manager to determine whether a driver is errant. Historical video footage will show a pattern of behavior and give managers a chance to monitor drivers more stringently before they commit a criminal act. Additionally, since most dash cameras record only one side of the incident, it is usually possible to use a company's historical data to prove liability in a court trial.
As mentioned earlier, there are advantages to using dash cams to monitor a company's fleet. Despite the inherent risks, fleet managers should seriously consider using a vehicle mounted system, especially if they want to protect themselves, their company, and their employees. If you are a business that wants to protect your workforce and protect your reputation, a dash cam could be just the piece of equipment that you need. Consider what it would cost in terms of time and expense to replace vehicles that were destroyed or vandalized by an errant employee. Dash cams can help save your company money because you won't have to keep replacing them, you'll get footage of the suspect in action, and you can show your insurance provider evidence that you are actively maintaining safe working conditions.
A dash cam is an affordable solution to a complex problem. It allows fleet managers to monitor their employees in real-time, which is critical. They can see instantly if there is a problem and take necessary corrective measures before a situation escalates. By monitoring driver behavior in real-time, fleet managers are able to address issues before they adversely affect the operation of their business.

Today, things are different
Today, things are different. After saving money and learning enough savvy to avoid continued exploitation, Anna is done with money-sucking studios, and so she works only about five days a month, from her own home. Five days of camming per month allow her to match the Romanian per capita income of roughly $US12,000 per year with a minuscule fraction of the labour. If she wants more money, she works more days.Inside the building, Studio 20 occupies the first and second floors. Forty rooms open off pristine, white corridors, their walls adorned with pictures of women in states of glamorous undress. A closed door means business. Inside that room a woman is live and direct via webcam with international clients - and as long as she is alone in the room, it is entirely legal. In this world of virtual relationships and cybersex, those in front of the camera are "models" and the men who watch are "members". Her friend, "gave [her] sex toys" and she was on her way, waking at 6am each morning in order to hit American-internet primetime. She hopped from studio to studio, at times living with her employers (and their unwanted advances), still far enough from self-sufficiency that she had to depend on them for support. One had a wife who insulted her constantly. She had to work, almost every day, on strict, long, tiring shifts, doing the same performances over and over and over again. She was an urbanite, but she was still a poor stripper in a small room. When one studio boss lost all of his money and had to move in with a friend, Anna had to go along, having lost her room, board and virtually all of her possessions. And as a cam girl, you won't know where it's coming from. You'll get your split — typically around 35-percent, but sometimes upwards of 70 — siphoned to you via an innocuous credit card processing site like CCBill, while the site takes the rest of the cut. However you earn that cut is up to you. Some sites, like Streamate, allow actual sex to the point of orgy, while others limit your act to a solo show. You can do whatever you think will earn cash in the form of dollars-per-minute private shows or instant "tips". That's the formula. You're up against tens of thousands of women (and men, to a lesser degree) offering the same product in varying versions. That's a tough stab at making a living, even with your clothes on.
Some of the girls broadcast risqué photos of themselves for free using sites like Instagram and Tumblr while others only use sites which require payment before viewing. Inside, Studio 20 feels like the Paramount Pictures of camming. You walk in and there’s hallways and hallways of rooms. One of them is decorated for a surfer girl, one of them is a girly teen-looking bedroom, one has teddy bears, one has a stripper pool, one is a fake bathroom with a tub. And they’re all just these fake sets where one side is a bedroom and the other side has a huge monitor, camera, computer, and professional lighting.A lot of their clients are really freaking mean for no reason. The downside to raking in that sweet cash is that a lot of people can be really mean for no reason. She says a lot of guys can't even sit there and watch her without saying mean things to her, and many of them don't tip either. Granted, that happens in minimum-wage jobs too, but I'm guessing what guys say to her is probably way worse than what people say to fast-food employees. This kind of money and naked fame is the rarest exception for a camgirl. The rest of the many thousands struggle to make any money at all under what appear to be demeaning, even dangerous conditions. After eight years of observation, Mila says, straight up, that camming is a criminal business on an international scale:
Geography is important too, so the models can talk about where the members are from. This comes off as somewhere between cynicism and naive denial, but the fact that she knows of any girls at all who've raped and beaten suggests that it is, at the very least, a real occupational hazard. But I have all these questions about camming. Why is camming so popular? Is camming the future of porn? Do people prefer it mostly because it’s so much more personal?Sometimes self-regulation regarding finances is the best option for some people: I’ve been treated better and more fairly as a Cam Girl and nude model than I was in my last retail job where I, no word of a lie, got fired for ‘looking sad’. Yet despite how much control one can have over their career as a Cam Girl there are certainly discrepancies within the industry, including safety issues and issues of future employability, as well as what is considered a fair payment and no guarantee on a basic minimum wage for hours put in. It leaves a lot up to chance. CONTINUED BELOW...

Covid-19 And Security: How Have Things Changed?
You’ve probably noticed that security is not taking any unruly people anymore. All kinds of businesses that are allowed to stay open and operate are showing compliance officers and regulators that they take the pandemic seriously. They are instructing security staff to be extra vigilant. They want guests and employees to immediately wash their hands with hand sanitizer the second they walk through the door. They also want people who aren’t authorized to be in the building to be swiftly escorted off the premises. No more second and third warnings! You never know who is carrying the virus, so a stricter approach is necessary.
youtube
Workers too
In a rare shift of behavior and strategy, any of the world’s business owners have instructed their on-site security teams to be wary of misbehaving employees. Now they are burdened with the task of making sure their own employees are following the rules. That means security officers are on standby to make sure, social distancing is followed, masks are work, hands are cleaned upon entry, they are able to prove they have a medical exception from wearing PPE, as well as sneezing and coughing into their elbows. It's quia rare task to be given but it's needed in this time and situation. Security staff is allowed to ask partnership employees to follow the rules too, so if any collaborative teams from your B2B partner arrive, your security will have to make sure they too are following these rules.
Stores are actively watching
It's not like retail stores were not watching your every move before, but now they are actively requesting customers to follow the rules. A company like Watchmen Security Services has been working overtime, installing surveillance cameras and CCTV systems that are fully operable and easy to use. Their video monitoring is easy because they use eye-cams, which give a 360-degree view of the entire store. It's not uncommon to hear a voice come through the speakers, asking a customer to wear their mask properly if it's hanging down not covering their nose. This reassures other customers that someone is watching them and when you can see someone not doing what you are doing, they notice too!

Signs and compliance
Security staff are being asked to put up signs around the retail store so that customers know what is going on. This could be something such as a reminder to wear a mask, a public health message from the local authorities, or perhaps a poster that is specifically branded such as an employee with their uniform on wearing a mask or washing their hands. This is something that security will also need to enforce and remind people to obey as they walk in. Another key task is to make sure they are walking around the retail store with an inspector that can be shown the measures in place and how they are enforced.
Security plays a crucial role more than ever now. They are literally involved in life and death tasks that will help to keep everyone safe and boost your customer's ease to get back into the swing of things and do some in-person shopping.

In a promotional video, Amazon.com Inc. says its Cloud Cam home security camera provides “everything you need to monitor your home, day or night.” In fact, the artificially intelligent device requires help from a squad of invisible employees.
Dozens of Amazon workers based in India and Romania review select clips captured by Cloud Cam, according to five people who have worked on the program or have direct knowledge of it. Those video snippets are then used to train the AI algorithms to do a better job distinguishing between a real threat (a home invader) and a false alarm (the cat jumping on the sofa).
An Amazon team also transcribes and annotates commands recorded in customers’ homes by the company’s Alexa digital assistant, Bloomberg reported in April.
AI has made it possible to talk to your phone. It’s helping investors predict shifts in market sentiment. But the technology is far from infallible. Cloud Cam sends out alerts when it’s just paper rustling in a breeze. Apple Inc.’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa still occasionally mishear commands. One day, engineers may overcome these shortfalls, but for now AI needs human assistance. Lots of it.
At one point, on a typical day, some Amazon auditors were each annotating about 150 video recordings, which were typically 20 to 30 seconds long, according to the people, who requested anonymity to talk about an internal program.
The clips sent for review come from employee testers, an Amazon spokeswoman said, as well as Cloud Cam owners who submit clips to troubleshoot such issues as inaccurate notifications and video quality. “We take privacy seriously and put Cloud Cam customers in control of their video clips,” she said, adding that unless the clips are submitted for troubleshooting purposes, “only customers can view their clips.”
Nowhere in the Cloud Cam user terms and conditions does Amazon explicitly tell customers that human beings are training the algorithms behind their motion detection software.
And despite Amazon’s insistence that all the clips are provided voluntarily, according to two of the people, the teams have picked up activity homeowners are unlikely to want shared, including rare instances of people having sex.
Clips containing inappropriate content are flagged as such, then discarded so they aren’t accidentally used to train the AI, the people said. Amazon's spokeswoman said such clips are scrapped to improve the experience of the company's human reviewers, but she didn't say why unsuitable activity would appear in voluntarily submitted video clips.
The workers said Amazon has imposed tight security on the Cloud Cam annotation operation. In India, dozens of reviewers work on a restricted floor, where employees aren’t allowed to use their mobile phones, according to two of the people. But that hasn’t stopped other employees from passing footage to non-team members, another person said.
The Cloud Cam debuted in 2017 and, along with the Alexa-powered line of Echo speakers, is one of several gadgets Amazon hopes will give it an edge in the emerging smart-home market.
The $120 device detects and alerts people to activity going on in their homes and offers them free access to the footage for 24 hours. Users willing to pay about $7 to $20 for a monthly subscription can extend that access for as long as one month and receive tailored alerts—for a crying baby, say, or a smoke alarm. Amazon doesn’t reveal how many Cloud Cams it sells, but the device is just one of many home security cams on the market, from Google’s Nest to Amazon-owned Ring.
While AI algorithms are getting better at teaching themselves, Amazon—like many companies—deploys human trainers across its businesses; they help Alexa understand voice commands, teach the company’s automated Amazon Go convenience stores to distinguish one shopper from another and are even working on experimental voice software designed to detect human emotions.
Using humans to train the artificial intelligence inside consumer products is controversial among privacy advocates because of concerns its use can expose personal information. The revelation that an Amazon team listens to Alexa voice commands and subsequent disclosures about similar review programs at Google and Apple prompted attention from European and American regulators and lawmakers. The uproar even spurred some Echo owners to unplug their devices.
Amid the backlash, both Apple and Google paused their own human review programs. For its part, Amazon began letting Alexa users exclude their voice recordings from manual review and changed its privacy policies to include an explanation that humans may listen to their recordings.
Reports by the Information and the Intercept technology websites in the last year examined the human role in training the software behind security cameras built by Ring. The sites reported that employees used clips customers had shared through a Ring app to train computer vision algorithms, and, in some cases, shared unencrypted customer videos with each other.
Amazon doesn’t tell customers much about its troubleshooting process for Cloud Cam. In its terms and conditions, the company reserves the right to process images, audio and video captured by devices to improve its products and services.
In a Q&A about Cloud Cam on its website, Amazon says “only you or people you have shared your account information with can view your clips, unless you choose to submit a clip to us directly for troubleshooting. Customers can also choose to share clips via email or social media.”
The Cloud Cam teams in India and Romania don’t know how the company selects clips to be annotated, according to three of the people, but they said there were no obvious technical glitches in the footage that would require submitting it for troubleshooting purposes.
At an industry event this week, David Limp, who runs Amazon’s Alexa and hardware teams, acknowledged that the company could have been more forthcoming about using people to audit AI. “If I could go back in time, that would be the thing I would do better,” he said. “I would have been more transparent about why and when we are using human annotation.”

🌸 Dutch Masterpost 🌸
🇳🇱 Hey fellow lifters. This post is for Dutch lifters, but we know that other European countries also have some of these stores, so if you aren’t located in the Netherlands, please take a look anyway! 🇳🇱
Thanks to @ladylikelifter, my partner in crime, for helping me write this post! 💕
🌸 Hema 🌸 Hema usually has cameras in the smaller stores, the big one (at least the one we go to) doesn’t have many cameras (still beware, though). Employees are usually in uniform, but there is NO LP. Just managers, but they either hang out near the entrance or makeup area. Makeup is fairly easy to take, just make sure you are quick and make good use of blindspots. Blindspots can be found near the underwear section, so take those undies! Underwear isn’t tagged, and sometimes they have Instax Minis just on display. Make good use of the fitting rooms as well, as they aren’t at all monitored, ever.
🌸 Kruidvat 🌸 If you have enough experience, Kruidvat shouldn’t be too hard to lift from. Blindspots aren’t very hard to find, even though there are loads of cameras, so beware! I ( @ladylikelifter ) usually lift my contact lenses and drugstore makeup from here. The managers might chase you if you get caught, it happened to me before (I got tackled for another reason, not because I was lifting, but still).
🌸 Etos 🌸 Pretty easy to lift from! There’s usually a manager walking around the store, aside from that there’s no LP. Very few blindspots but you can make it work if you have enough experience. I ( @ladylikelifter ) usually get my Beautyblenders and Real Technique brushes from here!
🌸 Big Bazar 🌸 Minimal security. Almost no cams from what we’ve spotted, but still beware, we think they might be upping their game when it comes to cameras. Makeup is mostly free to take if it’s in the middle of the store, but beware of costumers passing by. They have drugstore and high-end makeup piled up in boxes and they usually have RFIDs but those are extremely easy to take off. Food and snacks are also very easy to get. Again no LP, and on busy days there could be a manager walking through the store and employees in uniforms.
🌸 H&M 🌸 The locations I ( @ladylikelifter) have been to usually don’t have SAs standing near the fitting rooms to count your items. If there are, just wait until the clothing rack with unwanted items gets full and the SA leaves to empty it. Half of the stuff is untagged, I actually got all of my lifted clothes from here and I don’t even own a magnet or hook. They do have tiny red stickers on shoes, I call them alarm stickers. These stickers DON’T set off the towers, they’re just there to scare you.
🌸 Primark 🌸 Loads of cameras, but it’s not that difficult to find a blindspot. Clothes are always untagged. SAs will count your items on your way in, but won’t bother to recount when you leave the fitting rooms. You can either conceal on floor or in the fitting rooms; it’s up to you really. It’s very crowded 9/10 times so take advantage of that!
🌸 Douglas 🌸 We’d compare this to Ulta/Sephora. There’s lots of LP and employees who will CS you a lot. It depends on the store and security, but ours have cameras over the perfume section. Most of the brand makeup is good to go as long as you’re experienced at lifting. If you look suspicious you will get CSed to death. The more you get into different Douglas’s the easier it will be. There are a few blindspots, but be careful anyway.
🌸 ICI Paris XL 🌸 DON’T. Just don’t fuck with them, unless you’ve got plenty of experience. I ( @shinebrightlikealifter) got caught there. It is strictly secured and almost everything is tagged (inside the packaging). Lots of cameras in almost every section and even if they leave you alone; don’t do shit. If you want a particular item please just order it online and say it never arrived. In-store lifting is a no go.
🌸 Kiko 🌸 Definitely one of the easier stores! We’d advice you to go on busier days (like Saturday afternoon), because SAs will CS you to death if you go in at a quieter moment, since they’d have nothing to do lmao. On busier days there’ll most likely be a manager standing at the entrance, and beware of the mirrors as they can screw you over.

Masterpost
It's 5:00 in the morning and I need to be asleep cuz I have school in an hour but I feel like this needs to be made. There's most likely listing like this one and are bigger but these are things from my head that I can remember about tags from stores I've been to or know about If there’s a store left off that you want me to add or you have any corrections/additional info please message me so I can add it and this list can be more informative! Abercrombie and Fitch/Hollister
Super tags that require a hook
Black dome cameras, mostly near register, but the separate rooms make for easy concealment Aerie/American Eagle
Tags for items over $30-$40
In my experience the dressing rooms aren’t well monitored so I conceal there Aeropostale
No tags
Personally I don’t shop here so I don’t have much advice about dressing rooms or cameras but as always scope out the store and leave if you’re sketched out! American Apparel
RFID and pencil tags
Sometimes you can find things untagged. SAs count going into the dressing room but they don’t usually hover so you can conceal a few things Anthropologie
RFID Bath and Body Works
No tags!
Few cameras (mostly by register) and easy to conceal; SAs will probably greet you but if you’re nice they’ll leave you alone Barnes and Noble
NEVER try to lift medical textbooks. Paperbacks are hardly tagged, especially books that have been out awhile, but still flip through them. If you are lifting a moleskin journal or something take the plastic off first. The best method is taking a school backpack, picking out a few books, then sitting for awhile, reading/doing work/etc then just sticking your new books in your backpack Best Buy A big no no, unless you're a lifting GODDESS and know your store like the back of your hand I 100% do not recommend. They use all sorts of tags and RFID tags Charlotte Russe
I haven’t been in awhile so idk the tags but they do monitor dressing rooms. Once I went in an unlocked dressing room and an SA knocked and asked who gave me the room and why I didn’t have a card saying my # of items etc. However I don’t think they count coming out. Claire’s
No tags
Lots of mirrors in Claire’s so watch for those when finding a blind spot! DIck’s Sporting Goods
Tags require a hook I believe; almost everything is tagged in apparel
Someone has to unlock the dressing room but they don’t count items Dillard’s
No tags from what I’ve heard Forever 21
Dome ink tags; require a magnet
I don’t believe they use RFIDs, so if an item is untagged it’s probably good to go; However the dressing rooms are well monitored, so concealing on the floor is probably best Francesca’s
No tags!
The stores are pretty small so concealing clothes can be a bit difficult, but if they don’t count in the dressing room you’re prob good to go. Jewelry is super easy though Free People
Attentive SAs; they like to start rooms for you. Conceal on the floor and try not to linger Garage
I believe some things have tags but I know there are things that don’t. Not many SAs in my experience so pretty easy to conceal if you find a blind spot. They also monitor dressing rooms pretty well J Crew
Tag items over $30 and uses RFIDs H&M
Not sure about tags
Stores are generally big and the SAs stick to the register area so concealing isn’t very hard Hot Topic
Not exactly sure about tags but I don’t think they tag everything. There might be hidden cameras & towers so be on the lookout Loft
RFID
Large store usually, and I don’t remember anyone ever monitoring the dressing rooms very much Lush
No tags!
Small store and attentive SAs, so getting in out as fast as possible is best Lululemon
Most things are tagged (I don’t remember what kind) and SAs count going into dressing rooms. You can conceal things like leggings and shorts pretty easily, but only if you find a good blindspot since there are cams Madewell
RFID tags Old Navy
No tags
Generally few cameras and dressing rooms aren’t monitored Pacsun
Ink tags or super tags, RFIDs inside cardboard tags. I’ve also seen gator tags that you can remove with a hair band
Generally inattentive SAs, few cameras (still scope out in advance), don’t count going in dressing rooms Rue 21 Is a pretty easy place to lift, RFID tags on jewelry but shouldn't be on clothes I haven't been there much but when I go back I'll update this part Starbucks
No tags
This is one of the easiest stores. After ordering a drink just pick up whatever stuff you want and hold it like you own it. As far as I know employees don’t really do much when merchandise goes missing, but make sure no other customers are paying attention Sephora
Some tags, likely RFIDs on palettes
I don’t really mess with Sephora; lots of cams and attentive SAs Spencer's Kind of like hot topic, but they're might be hidden cameras. Just be careful and there's RFID tags mainly on jewelry and maybe in the tags of the clothing. But everything else is a free for all just be careful because there might be hidden towers Target
Black dome cameras all around the store. They count going into dressing rooms. Finding a blindspot is hard but can be done. Please be extremely careful here they have plainclothes LP that are generally pretty good and they really don’t fuck around lol Urban Outifitters
Black square tags that require a magnet; RFIDs in price tags
I’ve heard they count going in and out of dressing rooms and that they use magnet sensors so be careful. I also believe they have LP but not much info on that Victoria’s Secret
Pencil tags that require a magnet, but they sometimes use tags that require hook so be prepared; tag almost all clothes and bras and the occasional panty
Locations vary greatly, but employees can’t act on you unless they are sure you’re stealing. There’s a lot of advice about VS floating around, and most people conceal in the dressing room, using shopper bags to bring in a lot of underwear Ulta
RFIDs on palettes
There’s usually a blind spot in the hair care section, but always scope out the area well. Pretty attentive SAs but just act like you know what you’re looking for Walmart Most people say this store is a no no but personally, it's where I've started lifting and I still lift from there to this day. They have black dome cameras and RFID tags mainly on jewelry and accessories. If there's anything else message me and I'll add on or add on yourself. Happy lifting ✨

Surveillance in a Modern World
Surveillance always seem to be a heavily talked about subject.  It has its advantages and disadvantages across the board.  It can help the government identify possible or current criminals, but it also gives corrupt governments the chance to spy on the innocent.  It can affect and be caused by ethics, performance, politics, identity, and technology.
Within the ethics spectrum of surveillance, one needs to determine the positives and negatives of surveillance.  In “Top 8 Pros and Cons of Surveillance Cameras…”, the author Amanda Li reviewed security cameras.  As far as her pros, she only gave reasons why surveillance cameras help dwindle down crime rates.  Now, security cameras are generally used to record any action, or possible crime, that happens (Li “Top 8 Pros and Cons…”).  This can lead one to believe that the only purpose for surveillance cameras is to stop crime; which, the morality of them is to be determined by the eye of the beholder.  There were not as many cons as there were pros; this could be presented as the author was in favor of security cameras and had a bias toward them.  National Geographic presented a video that shows how a single person can be tracked consistently with surveillance cameras. This was a study inspired by the 1993 terrorist attack in London (National Geographic).  The video did not state whether or not this study was done for positive or negative purposes; however, it can be interpreted either way. The third article in the ethics category focused on why one should be concerned with mass government surveillance; it happened to be written while President Barack Obama was in office (Herro “#UnfollowMe…).  The author wrote with a resentful tone and told the reader why they should fear and fight against government surveillance.  The style of writing had an extreme bias against the other point of view.  Both articles took biased sides of their narrative, while the video remained neutral.
Performance refers to how individuals act differently when they are being watched.  These actions are called the Hawthorne Effect.  Hawthorne’s original study observed employee’s decision to wash their hands when an authoritative figure was there and when they were not (“Hawthorne Effect”). This study is paralleled in the “Performance #3” image.  The Youtube video explains several studies done that initiated the idea for the Hawthorne effect.  It used strictly facts, until the creator added in a personal anecdote (“The Hawthorne Effect…”).  The personal anecdote could have been used to create interest or possibly to make the watcher believe that these situations are real world happenings.  “How being watched changes you – without you knowing” took on a psychological point of view.  It explores social media surveillance, Halloween in the United States, and bicycle theft in the United Kingdom.  Each one had a different eye watching (Goodman “How Being Watched…”). The psychologists that were doing these studies brought in the idea of exposing secrets of the wild.  They did not let the subjects know they were watching, but yet, their behavior still changed.  This idea comes from Chapter Four of Under Surveillance by Randolph Lewis.
Surveillance can often present itself as a political issue. The Washington Post presented statements from Edward Snowden about government surveillance.  Snowden was pro-government surveillance; he believed that the Boston bomber could have been caught before his terrorist actions because of surveillance.  After assessing Snowden’s statements, the author, Matthew Guariglia, relays through historical governments that have used surveillance to their advantage (Guariglia “Too Much Surveillance…”).  Guariglia gives an impression that he believes that governments will use surveillance for all citizens, rather than just threats.  This pulls in George Orwell’s idea of “Big Brother” from his novel 1984.  It is the notion of an ever-watching eye of a higher power.  Big Brother directly shows how unhindered government surveillance can put citizens in harms way.  Both of the last sources are pertaining to government issues with the application TikTok. It has been believed that the data from TikTok is being sent to China’s government; which, is a communist government (Cornell University “TikTok Ban…”).  TikTok has been a popular app in most developed countries; this means that China has surveillance in all areas of the world.  Political surveillance puts all individual citizens and other governments at risk.
The person and the personality can also be affected by surveillance.  Kaleigh Rogers explains that surveillance can harmfully hurt those with mental problems or disorders.  Rogers’ writing suggests that she is against surveillance because of the effects that it has individuals (Rogers “What Constant Surveillance…”).  The Youtube video explains that Elon Musk, a wealthy, genius engineer, has brain implant technology in the works.  It would be able to connect the brain to the internet and could monitor for diseases like Parkinson’s.  The video explains that this could put the sick at high risks of undergoing surveillance that they did not consent to.  Medicine could present it as helping the individual, but they could actually use this technology to harm the sick (Lombardo Brain Implants, Surveillance, and Control).  Tying in the Hawthorne Effect, camera surveillance can change individuals to change the way that they are acting.  Surveillance can change identities, which is the core of each person.  The study, without bias, done by “Frontiers in Psychology” explains this exact conclusion in their research paper (Jansen et al “The Influence…”).  Surveillance can critically affect the core of a person’s identity.
Public surveillance is a normal part of life in the modern world; however, this does not mean that it is a correct way of life. The ACLU published an article in 2002 that was extremely skeptical of modern-day surveillance technologies.  It gave an extremely negative tone toward the action of public places being monitored constantly.  The union said that it understood surveillance in high-risk areas, but not all over the United States (ACLU “What’s Wrong…”).  Places that sell security cameras, obviously, speak very high of them.  In other words, they say that they can fix all problems and solve all crimes (“4 Benefits…”).  They have a strong bias toward this surveillance, because they are directly affiliated with them. Every person, place, and business have their own opinion on public surveillance, but it does not seem to be coming to an end any time soon.
Many of these examples of surveillance tie into our English 212 course material.  While not specifically pointed out, several examples include the Funopticon. The brain implant could be considered part of the Funopticon because it is represented as “cool” and highly intelligent, but it could very well be used to keep tabs on individuals.  Public surveillance cameras are also very similar to nature cameras, just with humans.  In Week 6, we covered the nature cams and how they can bring out the secrets of the wild, which was an idea from Week 5.  Each kind of surveillance method can have advantages for safety, but they can also present harmful and invading technologies.

Amazon Workers May Be Watching Your Cloud Cam Home Footage
In a promotional video, Amazon.com says its Cloud Cam home security camera provides “everything you need to monitor your home, day or night.” In fact, the artificially intelligent device requires help from a squad of invisible employees.
Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa still occasionally mishear commands.
Amazon’s spokeswoman said such clips are scrapped to improve the experience of the company’s human reviewers, but she didn’t say why unsuitable activity would appear in voluntarily submitted video clips.
The $120 (roughly Rs. 8,500) device detects and alerts people to activity going on in their homes and offers them free access to the footage for 24 hours. Users willing to pay about $7 to $20 for a monthly subscription can extend that access for as long as one month and receive tailored alerts – for a crying baby, say, or a smoke alarm. Amazon doesn’t reveal how many Cloud Cams it sells, but the device is just one of many home security cams on the market, from Google’s Nest to Amazon-owned Ring.
While AI algorithms are getting better at teaching themselves, Amazon-like many companies-deploys human trainers across its businesses; they help Alexa understand voice commands, teach the company’s automated Amazon Go convenience stores to distinguish one shopper from another and are even working on experimental voice software designed to detect human emotions.
