Most annoying issues I have met includes:

Vet clinic staff won't do anything for hours (EA says it has been fixed, but it's not): pets are ALWAYS sick and you have to take them at the vet hospital in the Brindleton and checked in, because regular cheats won't cure them. But vet wouldn't treat pets and they just stand there for over 5 hours!

Sims 4 Dine Out is still buggy as hell in 2022: common bugs include Sims not seating at the table, waiters not serving food, and Sims not eating their food;

Why is Prom happening every single week?? Prom occurs each week in High School Years;

Whole Sims 4 High School Years is completely buggy;

University Bug won't let me load Households and the only solution to fix it, is download MC Command Mod and delete all my sim's relationships, including the one with her own parents, that now are just two random strangers to her!

There are so many bugs in this game it's so frustating 😭 I can't even control my sim Juniper because if I hover over her it says "neighbor" and doesn't do any of the things I tell her to do to the point I have to cheat the needs so the baby doesn't get taken away...

has anybody else experienced crashed on start up after the new update ?? I recently got a new pc and I could run the game just fine but after the last update it won’t open. I don’t get any error messages it just exits back to my homescreen ???

I am perplexed by the fact that in its laundry list of bugs to be fixed, EA has considered bugs that I have never heard players complain about but that instead the bug of the fourth trait that corrupts the UI of the CAS and in the worst case prevents the CAS from loading or the player from editing his sim is not taken into consideration.

This bug corrupts the UI of any loaded save even if you don't have a sim with the fourth trait in other saves and you can have it even if you only download a sim with four traits from the gallery. How can they not talk about it?

Talking about bugs... look at my Miele Legacy Michael Bell’s freaking family! 

I started receiving notifications from him asking Brie to come to his ‘cause he had adopted a child... except these notifications kept coming! And at first I thought he just kept asking to see that one or two children he had adopted, but then I checked and he had like 6 kids! I don’t have cats and dogs, but I know people are experiencing this with pets too! Like, a household will keep adopting cats or dogs and of course neglect them. I hope they fix this issue soon, for now I had to disable adoption for everyone ‘cause it was out of control (I also left Michael with just two kids, I’m sure it’s plenty already).

PS: This is not happening in my Santino Legacy save file. I wonder why!

Some people think that if I post memes criticizing The Sims 4 I must be mad at programmers for silly stuff, but I'm not mad at all with EA for this reason. I am chill and I found ugly newborn and toddler/not-toddlers extremely hilarious, I'm just sad that people still continue to pay for uncompleted, buggy and glitchy contents and don't get mad at it. I'm not laughing at those people and I'm not mad at EA for focusing on “realism” instead of supernatural creatures (I'm still waiting for fairies, mummies, genies, etc, but this is my problem), I just think that players who invest their money on games have the right to receive a well developed product. People are legitimately mad EA, because EA doesn't even bother to fix old bugs but continues to create contents that doesn't work or patch that create problems with the gameplay and CAS. That's why I support creators and modders, who do an amazing job trying to make The Sims 4 still enjoyable.

Important! Sims 4 cas.fulleditmode bug

If you have the new Sims 4 EP Growing Together Since the Infants patch, you need to know that there's a bug with cas.fulleditmode and Sims with added traits (beyond the basic 3 traits). If you trigger this bug, all your household Sims will have the same name and your CAS UI will be corrupted. Worse, this bug can spread to other Saves.

You can avoid this bug:

Back up your saves outside the game folder before you play. Make this a habit. Don't rely on an automated online backup (like Drive) to do this; there are known issues with this.

Save before entering cas.fulleditmode. That way, when you do the next thing, you haven't lost a lot of gameplay. You might be fine if you're not touching Traits in CAS, but play safe!

If you encounter the bug in CAS, exit without saving.

Before you open a new save, exit and restart the start.

There is not a mod for this bug. When this bug is resolved, I'll updated this post.

Welp... remember when they "fixed" the jewelry genetics bug?

New bug just dropped, unfortunately. Same exact problem, but now it happens when your sims use the "Keep style" feature on the styling chair from Get Famous. 🤦‍♀️

Here's the comparison photos from both tweets: before shots on the left and after shots on the right.

Just a PSA, you might want to avoid using the "keep style" function on the styling chairs for a little while. If you have the same issue, be sure to upvote/interact with the thread on EA Answers HQ.

For Rent Workarounds

Wrong Lot Type

If you bulldoze a Residential Rental, you may notice that whatever other lot type you put down, it still says RR. Here's a workaround... Hit build mode from the map screen, and set down any Residential Rental from the Gallery. Now, delete each unit.

Now, bulldoze the lot and landscaping, and you can set it it back to Residential or another Lot type.

Notes: If you're just trying to place a Residential Rental from the Gallery, you need to change the lot type FIRST. If it's NOT RR, the lot won't place.

Change Residential Rental Lot Name

Another fun bug For Rent brought with it was the inability to save a new name for your lot when placing a Residential Rental. Enter build mode for your rental, change the name (even if it's already what you want it to be- retype it) and Save Game. Exit to map view and it should now be correct. (Sometimes it takes a couple of tries).

To change the unit names, do so in map view as pictured below, NOT build mode, or they won't stick.

Also, DO NOT USE the cheat for more units. Stick to the default limit of 6.
