Inspired by a bizarre argument I had on reddit,
I think the question comes down to whether the word "treatment" encompasses strategic behaviors for lessening negative outcomes that result from ADHD symptoms or if treatments are meant to alleviate the symptoms themselves.

When this research is covered by the media, you’ll almost never see an article suggest that we should change the system to get to the root of the problem. The advice is usually of the discrete, individualistic, consumer variety: buy organic, do more exercise, get more sleep, get tested earlier.
How about changing the system to ensure that the only vegetables we can eat are organic. Or change it to give people more free time to exercise or sleep; or how about we stop plastic production or halt new fossil fuel production to move us out of a carcinogenic world? These stories never tell us that the causes of cancer are baked into industrial life and cannot be solved by individual behaviour change. I suppose “end fossil fuelled industrial capitalism” doesn’t fill people with agency. But it’s exactly what we need to do.
Cancer in young people (indeed cancer in general) is another of the structural crises of our time, playing out almost unseen in the background, but guaranteed to warp the future. This crisis will further strain our world as we have known it, working alongside covid to create sicker societies. This should be an all-hands-on-deck period of modern human history. Governments should be mobilising to rapidly reconfigure society to prioritise human health, wellbeing and planetary flourishing. They won’t do it. But the good news is that what is unsustainable cannot be sustained. Change will come.

something that bothers me every day at work are medication 'allergies' that just aren't true allergies
And i don't blame the patient's because its just poor education on our part on what classifies an allergy (probably should avoid the drug in future) vs a side effect/adverse reaction (we can use the drug in future unless theres an equally effective alternative with some supportive meds)
nausea/vomiting/diarrhea after taking a medication is almost certainly not an allergy, especially with antibiotics (antibiotics of all sorts are known to cause this as a side effect!)
the reason it bothers me is because so many people get slapped with 'penicillin allergy' which means you can have THE most effective antibiotics for several conditions (skin infections, chest infections, meningitis, gut infections are often in part treated with penicillins). Us using an alternative is possible but largely far less effective! And just because someone hasn't sat down and explained that its not an allergy!!

nah bro I don't care actually, I 100% wholeheartedly believe Wilson actually started treatment after the end of the show, and House was there for him every step of the way just as Wilson was there for him post-leg surgery, and he eventually got better and recovered and he didn't fuckin die and he and House lived happily ever after. And I literally do not accept any criticism on that. Let my boys be happy ffs.
(I'm still in s3 but idc idc.)

Hmmmm. Kinda, sorta, really bummed to see confirmation that Goro is DLC in P5T. Not unexpected (because why would they actually give him anything) but still extremely disheartening. I genuinely can't tell if it's just because they actually don't give a shit about him or if it's because they know he's popular so thrusting him into DLC hell means more money for them, or perhaps it's some combination of both. But I'm just....really tired. Either way I'm a dumbass and will buy the game because I am genuinely curious and would like to experience it for myself. I'm also an even bigger dumbass because I will gladly beg for any crumbs they can give us of Goro (as long as they don't destroy his character).
Still, I just feel really drained after the last few days since the leak happened. Between people taking advantage to come out of the woodwork and harass/hate on Goro to the people that enjoy him and the fact that Atlus constantly treats Goro as if he doesn't exist half the time I'm so damn exhausted.

We have to normalize talking about how privileged is having the money to went to therapy, not every family have the same economy and just because your family can afford to spent 5000+ pesos in a therapist, medicine and more doesn't mean every family can afford it. The same way happened when a familiar is sick, not everyone can afford having an expensive treatments, my family and I were in a financial crisis when my mother got sick, she almost died from diabetes and she probably would have died if it wasn't for some emergency money we have, it's stressfull and painful to see someone declining so fast and couldn't do anything, just imagine if we didn't have that money, imagine even poorer people with less economy, don't blame us for couldn't afford spending so much.
