My very personal predictions for the Crimson Mirror circle:
DM Taliesin Jaffe 🖤
💀 Lou Wilson (Explorer or Criminal)
🧿 Erika Ishii (Medium or Doctor)
🍷 Aimee Carrero (Magician or Journalist)
🩸Christian Navarro (Journalist or Detective)
🪞Jasmine Bhullar (Occultist or Professor)
I'm hoping for a female majority this time around! I'm also betting towards "recent" guests to return as it happened to the other circles. I also noticed, it might be a coincidence, we've had Desi players in all three circles so far, so I'm hoping for Jasmine, specifically bc of her presence in the Doom one-shot with Anjali and work with horror.
As for classes, I'm just tired of Soldier, I really want somebody to take Explorer. Travis took both Detective and Journalist but I want players to tackle them individually and lean more into the backgrounds. I think Erika would play a sick Medium and Jasmine would serve with Occultist.
Other player possibilities:
Rekha Shankar (Been in Desiquest with both Luis and Anjali, great player)
Omar Najam (Been around recently as well, a very likely possibility)
Alex Ward (Someone from VTM that would fit like a glove in the game)
Utkarsh Ambudkar (Speaks for itself, down to cause chaos)
Becca Scott (Also VTM, never played in CR I think, and I like her xD)
Abubakar Salim (He did show up in 4SD and has been in project Taliesin been in b4, probable)
(Somebody on Reddit suggested a Taliesin run game with the other DMs as players and as much as I love my dream circle, I would explode with excitement if that was ever the case.)

again like, I cannot promise Bor'Dor isn't more than he appears to be (though what he appears to be is incredibly interesting, far more so than theories) but the nitpicking about how Utkarsh is playing is like...very ignorant of what he's seeing.
Here's a screenshot of my character sheet in D&D Beyond (L4 wizard):
As you can see, scalable spells (Magic Missile) also appear under higher level slots - it is pretty intuitive to say "ok, I want to do the BIGGEST THING POSSIBLE", go to your highest spell slot, and see Lightning Bolt.
On the other hand, this is the cantrip section:
"At Will", with no "Cast" button, could in fact be confusing!
Like...Utkarsh played a battle class (rogue) six years ago, and quite possibly hasn't played since. D&D Beyond's setup makes it easier to realize you can upcast, but doesn't clearly define what a cantrip is - or he could be just asking for clarification to be absolutely sure. If there is any evidence in-game that arises for something more sinister at hand I'll talk about it but like, everything is very consistent with what a player with hazy memories of 5e who has never played a spellcaster might experience.

Why I am so let down by live action Bumi
Let me start by saying this: Utkarsh Ambudkar is a hell of an actor. He nailed Bumi's mannerisms and brought this character to life in a way that I had previously thought impossible. I couldn't be happier about how the played the character and he is now the Bumi in my heart as much as the animated one.
My issue with Bumi in the ATLA live action series is (as many of my issues with this series are) the writing. And how Bumi was made much more callous and sometimes even cruel than his animated counterpart. I am not talking about his "tough love" approach to Aang and trying to teach him a lesson about how in war we must make impossible choices. This was a change, yes, but not necessarily a bad one; the message works, it makes sense. My problem is with how it was delivered and how Bumi interacts with people, including people other than Aang.
So let's back up a little. We meet Bumi and soon after he starts yelling a series of strange ingredients before clarifying it is for tea. So here the viewer is introduced to a bit of his eccentricity. So far so good.
The tea arrives, it tastes terrible because of the ingredients Bumi himself chose. His reaction? Throw the glass on the floor, yell and the servant, and send him away rudely with simply a wave of his hand.
That was the first time that I was appalled by the live action Bumi. Because he was terribly rude, if not cruel, to a servant. For no reason other than establishing to the viewers "hey, this guy is kinda crazy right?". But of course, there are tons of ways of doing that without taking it out on the servants. So here we are given the impression that, besides being "kinda crazy", Bumi is also downright mean to those who are under his authority. Which is (1) not developed further, (2) not even acknowledged, and (3) entirely in contrast with the Bumi we see in the animated series.
Moving on to the feast. Unlike the animated series, Sokka and Katara are absent in this scene. But instead of having only Bumi and Aang share the meal, we have a lot of well-dressed people who laugh at whatever Bumi says and seem to have no idea what's going on. What is their purpose there? Are they nobles? Rich merchants? Palace staff? Why is Bumi entertaining them? We don't know. Nothing is said about, they are never acknowledged. They are just there. But their mere presence raises a bunch of questions about worldbuilding and characterization.
Can Bumi really spare his resources to offer these people a lavish meal when his city is going through a rough period and attacks against civilians are made on the streets in broad daylight? Are they connections that he needs to keep happy? Is this serving a greater objective? Does he simply not care?
And I am asking these questions because of Bumi's main characteristic, the one we see highlighted throughout the animated series: he's a genius. A mad genius. Yes, some of his actions seem random and difficult to comprehend but when we look back, they have all been extremely calculated and served a greater goal. We see that especially in season 2, when he apparently does nothing to contain the Fire Nation's taking over Omashu. So what is his goal in giving these people attending the feast privileges when the city is in such a dire situation? We don't know and probably never will because, again, the presence of these people is not even acknowledged. This is a stark contrast to the animated series, when we see only Team Avatar sharing the meal with Bumi. We see no mention of nobles or privileged classes in the animated series' Omashu. Simply put, in the animated series we are not given any indication that Bumi is the kind of king that cares about social privileges. So why would he care in the live action series? And if he does, doesn't that go against his whole "war is hard, tough choices" speech?
Lastly, there is the way he talks to Aang about the air nomads. Yes, I understand that he was trying to rile Aang up and later teach him a lesson about the cruelty of war. Which is why he starts by saying that it must have been nice to be frozen in ice for 100 years. But then Aang mentions the genocide against the air nomads. Bumi's reply?
This is more than just riling Aang up. To me, this is belittling an entire people that was decimated. He could have pushed Aang's without making fun of his people - could have talked about how Aang "abandoned" them, how Aang never had any sense of responsibility. But he turns the killing of air nomads into a joke. This goes beyond establishing Bumi as eccentric or tough. At least to me, this is cruel.
And the fact remains that the Bumi in the animated series was never cruel. Even when we don't know his true identity and still think that he might be an antagonist. And in the end, when everything is revealed, we learn that Sokka and Katara were never in real danger. There are some lines that animated Bumi never crossed. Live action Bumi? We don't see that kind of care. Actually, the callousness that he shows in these scenes gives me the impression that he might, in fact, be willing to put innocent people in danger to teach Aang a lesson. Anyway, that is a subjective impression but it does not change the fact that live action Bumi was (1) cruel to people under his authority; (2) apparently favouring rich people with lavish meals when his city was struggling; and (3) making callous jokes about a people who were victims of a genocide. And I didn't like the Bumi that did those things. I didn't like it at all. That is not my Bumi.

c3e59 thoughts and musings
wow its been awhile. i have 57 and 58 t&m in my drafts unfinished bc of some irl nonsense i was dealing with but we’re back on the train now. i hope. aabria’s discussion of deanna’s afterlife gave me a new fic idea that i’ll have to follow up on later.
anyway. we’re coming back to team hells! i know they’re officially AOL but team bells and team hells just works too well. whatever happens this episode is going to be so great. i can’t wait to see what matt has concocted in this time. i hope we have the time for taliesin to explain what ashton was doing on their day off. not placing any bets on guests because old or new, whoever it is is going to have to match the incredible energy that aabria and christian gave to the team bells wildemount arc. just as deanna and frida had plothooks for chetney and fcg’s pasts in particular, i hope that whoever’s coming on will have some kind of link to dig into ashton’s backstory a little more and maybe get into the ashari/hishari part of his and orym’s background.
from what i can tell, this 3rd arc is all about uncovering lore--the new state of the world and the plans that led to it along with the backgrounds of core bells hells and their new friends. i’m really hoping for a good lore finding character--while orym’s fantastic perception is gamebreaking, i think they need someone for investigation/arcana. maybe laudna will get proficiency in arcana from having delilah in her head/unpicking the remnants? that would be good bc these three only have +1.
this group is also currently melee heavy; most of the spellcasters went to wildemount. i hope they can strike a good balance--maybe get some hybrid classes to work with them? e.g. ranger, paladin, artificer. i had thoughts about orym multiclassing into either of the first two, but i think orym is staying a fighter.
wtf is this ad sam. emily and omar are coming to the dome!!!! i can’t wait for this zelda oneshot!!!!
here we go! where are we gang! ruidus is likely to the south! wildemount, marquet, or issylra. laudna here being deeply worried about imogen and the blowup. oh boy sending’s not working.
this feels like a shittier situation than team bells. Pate’s here though!
Aimee’s back! latina dwarf energy! i love her. i love her. Mona! the energy is immaculate. ex-fiance??? barbarian rogue? i don’t fuck with the gods. denise though
that fucking speech broadcasted??? OH???
843 PD=no time lapse
bilbo bagginsing it
quick meth
new person??? utkarsh? cringefail of a guy. hair trigger bor’dor sorceror. ruidusborn?
EMILY AXFORD IN THE DOME HOLY SHIT
a little try hard wizard! Cobalt Soul Archivist? investigation queen! teleport malfunction result. Prism my wizard girlie
nexus of infinite personalities in a hole in my head??? this survey is just coming out with the best personality display.
combat?? the rookie energy coming off of bor’dor and prism is fantastic.
very different energy as we get into this side of bell’s hells. communication is going to be a sticking point--ashton and denise are both very insular and private, bor’dor and prism are both new to the situation in varying ways that will really affect the future of the party, and laudna and orym are kind of taking the lead on the social interactions for the party and easing the way through this unprecedented scenario.
laudna’s compartmentalizing hard. ashton is at least letting his anger out. the lightning bolt situation was super frazzling for orym and everyone. i hope that they have the chance to actually sit down after this battle.
i have a feeling that this is really going to bring out different facets of the people we already know, and i hope they have the opportunity to relax the way that team bells did. if it’s formulaic, i think they might head for the nearest big city, then go to traverse toward marquet and maybe hit the hishari village and/or ivaadel on the way.
emily kicking ASS. Bladesinger?? this battle is so cool.
weekend at bernie’sing two corpses as a bit is so funny to me.
prism and bor’dor interacting is so neurodivergent to me.
laudna & ashton talking it out! worries about imogen & the philosophy of not leaving people is really sticking. we are more than enough.
DARIAX???? WANTED POSTER?????EX_FIANCE!!!!
aw orym’s getting to talk it out.
ascendant bridge mountain--i’m seeing a vasselheim trip in the near future maybe.
and we’re off to the nearest town in june! i can’t wait to see where we go from here!

In Gadar 2, what is the "Crush India Movement"?
The ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971 is featured in Gadar 2’s teaser, which makes this clear.
One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year is Gadar 2 by Anil Sharma. The film, which stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, is a sequel to the renowned box office success Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001). The enthusiasm for Gadar 2 is also demonstrated by the enthusiastic response to the re-release of Gadar since last Friday.
A favourable reaction has been received by the Gadar 2 teaser, which recently surfaced online. The movie will focus on Pakistan’s ‘Crush India Movement’ in 1971, according to the teaser. This has led some people to wonder exactly what this movement was.
The ‘Crush India Movement’ took place against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which was ultimately won by India. As a result, Bangladesh, formerly known as East Pakistan, was created. The Pakistani government, military, and regular citizens were all enthused about the war prior to it beginning. Encouraged by the political class, thousands of people marched in Lahore while chanting anti-Indian slogans to show their support for Pakistan in its victory over that country.
“Crush India” was the main cry of the attendees at the procession. People carried signs and banners that read “Crush India.” Also distributed and adhered to walls, vehicles, and other surfaces were pamphlets with the same words. Eventually, the movement also spread to other parts of Pakistan.
This historical event is featured in the Gadar 2 teaser. Given that he is depicted as being in the middle of the action, it will be interesting to see how Sunny Deol’s well-known character Tara Singh would react or behave in such a circumstance.
Gadar 2 will debut on August 11 of this year. The movie will clash with OMG 2 and Animal, both of which have the same day’s release dates.
