I enjoyed this a lot. It's far from Yuji Sakamoto's best work, but even his lesser scripts still have above-average quality. I must admit I didn't really care for the murder-mystery part of the story, although the final twist did surprise me more than I expected. That being said, I definitely liked the romcom parts way more. The writing is as witty as one could expect from Sakamoto, and Ryo Yoshizawa and Aoi Miyazaki know how to play off each other. The banter between their characters is delightful. The rest of the cast is also great, and it's clear the actors had fun making this movie. On top of that, I also loved the social commentary that permeates the plot without overwhelming it. Overall, I had fun with In Love and Deep Water.
Hello your art is incredible, you are one of my inspiration to trains in drawing. Continues what are your inspirations to your drawing? Thanks for your attention.
Hello, thanks! I'm glad I'm inspiring you!
Some of my inspirations when developing my style were from animators/anime + game character designers like Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Tatsuyuki Tanaka, Yoh Yoshinari, Kinu Nishimura, Akihiko Yoshida, Yoshitaka Amano... lots, lots more. And also too many online artists to count.
In terms of illustration, I took a lot of inspiration from woodblock print artist, Hiroshi Yoshida, and also a bit from illustrators like Norman Rockwell, Dean Cornwell, Walter Everett, Moebius, Jamie Hewlett... I could go on.
Comparable to: My Teacher, My Love (jdrama); Doctors (kdrama); Something in the Rain (kdrama)
This is a hard one to review. In one way this a very awkward controversial drama. You have a student/teacher relationship. It’s done fairly well and realistic in a way. In some ways I wish the the ending was a bit different and wished the characters were had more of a “Doctors” (kdrama) romance storyline age approach to it🤷♀️ it’s still not bad. Just wished we saw more of the “adult age part.
