Zealoid Prelate, my beloved.
This was another watercolor attempt which ended in watercolor/acryl paint/fine liner

2 things I’m really looking forward to in Warframe next year:
1. Infested Liches/nemeses
2. The unnamed (narmer?) orb mother

Warframe Story, Act IV: Prelude to War
Tumblr media
1. The Chimera Prologue (despite being combined into prelude to war cinematic thingy, this is the part where only this happens storywise for a long time).
TW: The quest is not replayable:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqxA74QN3c0
2. Most of the Nightwave seasons take place during this. Most notable are Zealoid Prelate assassinate happens here, and afterwards the Glassmaker and his bossfight. Can be considered just as side missions but this is where they are storywise.
The Wolf of Saturn Six:

Zealoid Prelate (The Emissary)

Glassmaker:

https://www.orokinarchives.com/nightwave-3-glassmaker/
3. Amalgams on Jupiter and Ropalolyst assassination.
You can witness Amalgams in any Gas City tileset mission (except for Assassination) with Alad V announcing their presence. The Amalgam program research can be also observed in Jupiter secret labs.
4. Rising Tide (while it is unlocked before, imo this is the best moment to do this quest and start the empyrian.
Technically you can do the missions before and personally I think those are one of the best missions in the game, so you could do them if you want).
DO NOT do Orphix missions yet.
5. The Kuva Liches.
(Additional objective from me – kill/convert at least one lich.)
6. Call of the Tempestarii.
Followed by Sisters of Parvos making an appearance.
(Additional objective from me – kill/convert at least one Sister of Parvos.)
7. Make your way to Veil Proxima and do the anomaly. Take the Paracesis and shatter the crystal at the end of the mission with it. This unlocks Erra cinematic in the Prelude to War (technically not needed anymore, but again, storywise this is when that happens).
8. Scarlet Spear – Erra launches scout ships at earth. Little Duck mobilizes.

Unfortunately, this was only an event so the gameplay aspect is lost. While there is no chance of the event returning in the same form there is a big story significance here, so I would at least like to have the thing turned into a quest. Meanwhile enjoy the video, I guess.

Walkthrough: https://youtu.be/GxJxnYZQdbc
9. The Maker (this is the last cinematic in the prelude to war).
10. Orphix Venom - Time to dust off the Nechramechs. Build one if you haven’t. Can’t 100% say if these important transmissions from Natah are in the missions anymore, so here they are.

That it. With all these you are all caught up and ready for the New War and Beyond

Did Val ever work with a Sister of Parvos? Maybe they both mutually agree to infect them with val’s infestation?
hmm im thinking she'd need some convincing to do, since corpus are wary of the infestation and especially wary of her.. maybe she was only able to get one or two sister test subjects but goes absolutely nuts on em. maybe they could look something like the zealoid prelate 😳

what i appreciate the most about warframe is that i can decide one fine evening that i shall defeat this ancient, unfathomable entity, cloaked in darkness by punching the ever-loving shit out of it with a starter weapon, and that will, in fact, play out, just as I envision it.

inversely, the grineer as a faction are generally ok to be attracted to unless it’s vor, vay hek, or the queens, in which case i will personally issue a cease and desist to your place of residence. if you like tyl regor and kela de thaym i will instead grant you a certificate of good taste. if you genuinely wholeheartedly want to fuck any of the infested please seek an exorcism effective immediately

Warframe Infestation Worldbuilding: Pillars
A "pillar" of the Infestation is any infested individual, or collection of individuals, who contribute a substantial amount of power and intellect to the Infestation's Hivemind. The term "pillar" is used because they "hold up" the Infestation and provide it with its goals and are the primary driving force behind outbreaks.
Notable pillars include:
Lephantis
Phorid
Mutalist Alad V (former)
Cephalon Jordas
The Zealoid Prelate (or Kenga, if that is what he became)
Arlo (or That Which Pretended to be Arlo, or simply the Emissary)
Pillars will also guide the mutation of the Infestation itself, often to the point of giving rise to their own unique strain. Infested who are infected with a specific Pillar's strain take orders from that particular Pillar more directly. Lephantis is very likely the Pillar of the Primary or Origin strain, given the age and level of mutation it/they have. Most, if not all, strains arose from Lephantis', and as a result most Infested on some level are controlled by Lephantis.
The Helminth in Tenno Orbiters is sufficiently separated from other strains to not have a specific Pillar associated with it. The (relative) lack of infectivity and virulence of the strain means that the Helminth strain has no "need" for a Pillar.
This does not mean Helminth isn't conscious and intelligent.

Hm yes after fighting that Zealoid Prelate Ember is very much awake. And very anti-infestation that isn’t Sinew or other Niduses.
Not sure if I should be worried that they decided on the name Inquisitor.
