Kamado saw them as an imediate threat. Ingo and Iscan arrived looking to check on the people of Jubilife and Akari (having not seen either leader as they were both busy doing damage control with the other wardens who are in no condition to be doing much of anything)

Kamado has more or less seen the wardens as a threat since before they first landed in Hisui and has been making contingencies ever since. When they confronted him upon hearing about what had happened he put those contingencies into action upon them.

The cuffs put upon them having a mix of different types of symbols meant to seel away ghosts. Symbols both Hisuian and other (it seems these sorts of things canonically work in the pokemon world at least to some degree) This leaves Ingo and Iscan unable to just phase out of their shackles, and unable to break them as they are welded shut not just locked.

Even then Iscan is more on his own in any attempts to escape. Ingo being more ghost than he should be he is more negatively impacted by the shackles than Iscan. He's rendered practically paralyzed.

Kamado has no intention of keeping them forever or killing them, his only goal is to neutralize the perceived threat they pose to his people.

Shin and Midori are almost the only characters in yttd that have a whole scene dedicated to them messing with someone’s PTSD

It’s a really good parallel and shows just how messed up Shin’s actions were and how he ended up acting more like Midori even after he stopped trying to. The only person that went as far as Shin did was an actual cultist serial killer and one of the people responsible for the death game happening in the first place

It also highlights their differences because of how and why they do what they do. Shin does it because he thinks he’s justified, and it’s also an impulsive decision made right after Kanna is killed. He’s not there to laugh at Sara when she finds the Joe AI, we don’t even know how he feels about the whole thing after the fact (I don’t think giving Sara amnesia was an intended consequence. I wonder how he reacted when he found out). But Midori makes a whole show out of messing with Keiji, and he had to have planned the whole thing in advance to make the Mr. Policeman doll. He also doesn’t hide behind revenge or a greater good, he just torments people for fun

It really shows how Shin is just that close to being on Hiyori’s level, but he’s not there yet, and the scales could be tipped to either side depending on what happens next

#I don't think shin messing with the joe ai makes him irredeemable but it's still horrible and gets more horrible the more I think about it #anyway I'm obsessed with the idea of Shin getting a reality check from Midori praising his cruelty #we'll likely never get that but I can imagine Sou going on a whole speech about how he's just So Proud of what Shin did with the Joe AI #he truly has learned a lot. I personally am so happy that the episode was all a dream because I’m okay with there not being macdennis but if they had confirmed Dennis as a killer i would have been devastated. I do wish they’d explore more of his emotions tho- especially since Glenn has said he misses playing those colors. Like he’s got Big Feelings! This was more of his rage- but it’s a step up that he was able to curb that rage I guess?

Also people are saying it’s joever for macdennis but like… they didn’t fight or anything right? They’re still super close- and remember Frank vs Russia? That’s still a thing

i really need to rewatch uwe before the upcoming season finale and properly gather my thoughts on it but i really really like the show! its goofy and cartoony style paired with a serious story about these warriors' souls stuck in an eternal war with the evil, the slight psychological horror of being used as hosts for said souls and almost completely discarded and disregarded (though it doesn't say too much about this, this is more my overthinking), the steampunk elements, the character designs, the voice acting... all of it. despite that i still have some irks with it, like the pacing. this show would've definitely benefited from having more episodes. for such a story heavy show 10 episodes doesn't feel enough. it worked with primal, genndy tartakovsky's previous show, because there was little to no dialogue there. it did an excellent job at making the viewer understand what was happening with mere facial expressions. but uwe characters have a lot to say, a lot to work out between each other. and it's clear tartakovsky wants to tell more. they need more episodes to do that. i hope the show gets renewed for a second season. i need everything that i'm extremely confused about to be addressed and cleared up

microdosing getting into mechanical keyboards by replacing my keycaps for the first time

#building mechanical keyboards is on the list of 'hobbies that would be absolutely ruinous for my bank account' lol #but i wanted to mess around a little so i got a new set of keycaps! #i was Not sure this would work because this keyboard (corsair k60) had weird proprietary low-profile keycaps by default #and i couldn't find a lot online about replacing them but some people had had trouble #but it did work and i like it! matches my new mouse :3 #these caps don't let the backlight shine through but it still looks cool lighting up between the keys #i'd like to try out other switches and stuff at some point #but i generally like this keyboard so i'm probably going to try and stick with it until it Needs replacing #also god my phone camera sucks ass. just no stabilization at all huh #i'm continually looking for a new phone but it seems like you can either get a good camera or a headphone jack but not both #anyway. #j rambles

sanoh is of two minds with this:

she's not exactly super close with nuntida. she doesn't want to be, either. they're more polite to each other and cordial in a mother-daughter way, but they aren't buddy buddy. nuntida respects sanoh as an individual because while sanoh was growing up, virote told their mother to not bring this bullshit so sanoh's doorstep. let her grow up knowing she's supported and heard. sanoh appreciates their mother for not being such an awful parent. she loves her mother.

but,

she's seen what being neglected did to virote, so she can't bring it upon herself to forgive even though virote's already forgiven.

virote sat nuntida down and opened the flood gates on her behavior and forgave her after forcing her to reflect… is because he has a younger sister. named sanoh. she’s about 14 years younger than him and at that point, his sister was in the ballpark of being like 8 years old. and he didn’t want his mother to put sanoh through the shit he went through. so he really took it upon himself to tell his mother to cut the bullshit, stop being a self-obsessed person, and be a loving parent. virote would never let sanoh being treated the way he did be a thing. absolutely fuckin not.

so he took it upon himself to put an end to it. for himself and for his sister.

sanoh adores her brother for that and her feelings for love remain semi-lukewarm for nuntida. she finds herself conflicted often.

but virote tells her to just let it go, no need to stay angry on his behalf.
