I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT T WATARU HATANO, Feather talking with Chikage and being like, “wow you sound like someone I know…” and the Spring Troupe talking with Randall and being like, “oh wow you sound just like Chikage…”

Then the seven of them run into each other (Chikage with Feather and Randall with Spring Troupe) and Itaru covers Randall’s eyes like, “doppelgänger don’t look! You two might combine into one person!” And Feather hears this, gasps, and tries to cover Chikage’s eyes

But the only thing they have in common is the voice!

GOD YEAH. YEAH!!!!

Feather has the energy of a summer kid and i wonder if Chikage would start to get tired of him real quick.

Meanwhile Itaru would say Randall sounds like Chikage and Randall WOULD get annoyed because why is he like this.

But Itaru would indeed do that and would totally end up dragging Feather into his stupidity (Feather would buy any lies the Spring Adults would tell him)

Randall is very, very, very tired. And for Chikage at least it's only a sunday. Normal thing. And Chikage may start to mess with Randall on purpose.

did this for a secret santa on insta but they’re just too silly and happy to not also post here…

i’d like to think that they have an inter-troupe christmas tree decorating contest (from right to left, the trees in the back are harugumi’s, natsugumi’s, and akigumi’s…fuyu’s didn’t fit…alack!) I feel like haru’s is the most. chaotic (citron insists on spearheading the decorating, itaru contributes his collection of ornaments from his favorite games, masumi is not getting involved, chikage is watching this passively, sakuya gets dragged in, and tsuzuru does not have the will nor the energy to step in and reign them in.) yuki and kazu mostly take care of natsu’s. sakyo and azami are probably used to decorating ginsenkai for various holidays, plus they have omi and banri, things are fine. fuyugumi’s ends up becoming an intensely impressive flower arrangement.

Having failed to reach an understanding with Gawain or with the king and forced to flee for his life, Lancelot finds himself stumbling through the woods lost, injured and left completely alone for the first time since he can recall. As he prays for whatever deity or spirit that may be watching to come to his aid and help him save his friend, his pleas reach ears of someone entirely different and whose help does not come without a price.

Wisteria Lodge

Our third story from His Last Bow - we've already done "The Dying Detective" and "The Cardboard Box".

This was published in two parts in The Strand.

Take a note of the Watsonian date here because this will be important later.

You could send a telegram at most bigger post offices, or you could complete a pre-paid form and put it in a post box.

"Toilet" had a definition of the style of one's appearance.

Eccles is from Lee, which we've visited already in "The Man with The Twisted Lip" and which I discuss in my post for that.

Esher is today a town of around 7,000 people but part of a larger built-up area, thirteen miles from Charing Cross. While sitting outside the Greater London boundary in Surrey, the urban sprawl of London does not match the administrative boundaries and Esher is on the outer edge of this. You can in fact hit some serious countryside while staying within the city limits.

It also sat outside the Metropolitan Police District.

The town was historically a stagecoach stop on the London to Portsmouth road, which later become the A3 before that was diverted via a bypass around the town. It is home to the Sandown Park racecourse and George Harrison lived there for a while.

The railway station, then called Esher and Claremont (the latter being a Lancelot "Capability" Brown-designed mansion, then owned by a widowed daughter-in-law of Queen Victoria, her youngest son Prince Leopold having died due to haemophilia after a fall in 1884) is on the mainline from Waterloo to Weymouth - Aldershot being a bit further along on a branch line. It takes around half an hour to get there by modern electric train; only suburban services stop there, with express trains going straight through the disused centre platforms.

Spain, as a major power (even if most of its empire had already gone) and a monarchy, warranted an Embassy. San Pedro only would have had a legation.

There's quite a bit of racism in this one!

I'm curious what "fandom classic"/famous fics there are that I know of... the only ones I can think of are A3! fics like OCAM (using an acronym instead of the name and thinking people will know what I mean shows that it's famous. But it's of covens and magicians by flavovitta) and the Chikaita fic where Itaru reads fanfic of Lancelot/Gawain (to the fair unknown by headlong I just looked it up. Thank you headlong wherever you are I love your fics) and uhhh definitely more INFAMOUS but maybe the Chikaita dentist fic (I refuse to look it up to find the title) and there's probably a few Juban fics that count here since they're the most popular ship but I don't spend enough time in Juban spaces to have ever heard recs

2022 Fic Wrap Up!

I Touched a Magic Mirror and Ended Up in My Parental Figure's Favorite RPG?!

basically when i was wtiting this fic it was around this time of the year, and i was like "i'm gonna finish this fic by the time classes start up again!"

SPOILER ALERT. I DID NOT.

it kept getting longer and longer. umm. i do really like it! i love kniroun a normal amount, please ask me about the extended kniroun universe always. i did love writing it a lot, even though it caused me some grief because i was like i am not splitting this into two chapters fuck off.

so, yeah! also i'm sorry to oomf, who always cries when they reread the fic because fictional britain is homophobic. ummmm. sorry. lancelot has issues. again, please feel free to talk to me about kniroun.

short fics collection, lone wolves week, mostly platonic with azuhiso and azuchika thrown in

lone wolves week 2022! i ended up putting all my little drabble submissions into one fic. i think i wrote most of them the day before the actual day it was supposed to be posted? as usual, i skipped free day because i'm so bad at those.

azuma and sakuya one was cute and domestic! i like them and i always have camellia to cherry blossom on the brain (the fic by desikauwa i think) so yeah!

azuchi brainrot is azuchi because my friend super loved azuchi when they were into a3 and it rubbed off on me lol

the hisoka and sakuya one is silly because the entire fake play it's based off is actually a sakuya/homare play. nieves (hisoka) is my favorite because i love hisoka, and she's in love with zenaida (citron) to a. hm. questionable degree because i'm a sucker. liberato's (sakuya) the colead, he's cute but a menace, and he betrays vedasto (homare, lead) at the end of the second act. other actors in the play are ramil (azuma) and basilio (chikage), and all the names are based off filipino gods/names/words.

azuhiso cute and soft there's nothing much to say, tbh.

chikage & hisoka is the. most un-normal one. idk. they have me fucked up. they are also fucked up. they are traumatized in the same way but in a different way but they are family and it's. certainly a thing.

the last chikage & sakuya one is. hmm. i think it's inspired partially by another similar fic that percy timeskipped wrote + partially by the scene in act 12 (or 11?) where sakuya sees aunt yoshinaga, but don't quote me on this because i barely remember writing this tbh.

it was tricky to write because i got used to expanding this au verse through rp, but writing it out like this was fun too!

i feel like this one requires a lot of context. um. back in 2020/2021 i ended up in a discord roleplay game where basically my friend and i roleplayed citron and july respectively. and the thing is that they literally just antagonized each other the whole time and then we decided that _yeah we are ill for this ship now_ so yeah.

citron harem agenda is an entirely separate au where everyone i ship with citron is part of his bigass royal harem. this is literally everyone from tsuzuru to azuma, barring guy, plus augju. you can also ask me about this if you want. each of them has a specific like little character arc and they have fun little limk skills and everything.

okay, back to citoju. umm. so the thing is. this wasn't supposed to be the first citoju fic. but i did not have the time or energy to write a 20k fic featuring truth and betrayal and first love and separation and forgiveness and tenderness so here we are. nonetheless. i love em.

after rarepair week i got into a super writing slump for like a solid 3 months, where i could barely write anything. this one was for an exchange that i signed up for a few months prior, but finishing it gave me a sense of accomplishment. like, i had to sit down and write and write _something_ and i did and i finished it and i like it!

so about the fic. it's so stupid. don't let the title fool you, it's literally just a funny little fic where summer troupe writes franfic. i had like a spreadsheet open for everything and all the pairs that went together and who everyone got i swear i'm sane.
