I don’t think I have it in me to really write a whole fic on it, but basically-

Catra did something stupid when she was a kid, hurt herself bad enough to require stitches, and Shadow Weaver was the one who took care of her.

A) Shadow Weaver wasn’t exactly gentle B) Catra was still bby and having a thread and needle put through her skin was horrifying and she couldn’t look at it and Adora had to take the stitches out when it was healed because she refused to go back to Shadow Weaver

tl;dr Shadow Weaver ruined the idea of health care for Catra which is why she’d rather suffer than trust anyone (except Adora) to try and patch her up
