Where should we go to eat? Nando’s.
We always have Nando’s, shall we try something else? *End up in Nando’s*
What does everyone feel like eating today? Nando’s.
I want to take my friends out, they’ve come all the way from blah, where should I take them Nando’s.
I’m not in the mood to eat anything tbh, nothing is appealing to me. Except Nando’s.
That’s right, you can NEVER and I repeat, NEVER, go wrong with Nando’s. It is literally THE best. I’m getting a bit excited here with my caps lock on and stuff but I just love Nando’s so much. The restaurants, the atmosphere, the food, the prices, the sauces, the staff and the service, everything is on par.
I’ve literally tried everything on the menu. Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures of everything though 😦 I only have pics from my most recent visits. Oooo yesterday I tried something new, always get excited when there’s a new dish on the menu 😀 Will show you later on in the post.
So with Nando’s, as most of you must know, you order a main dish (choose the spiciness) and you have an option of having it on its own or with one or two sides and a refillable drink (LOVE that you can refill, literally the best thing ever). You can pick up as many sauces as you wish. I obviously, being the mixer that I am, pick a few and mix them together and it is divine.
I normally go with the grilled chicken wrap, medium or hot, with extra cheese and get that with 2 sides which are always changing but the peri salted chips remain a constant 😉
How good does that look? The chicken is ALWAYS cooked to perfection. I think I’ve only had about 2-3 not so good experiences from about 100 visits. I love the peri salted chips, they add that extra oomph factor to your food. Take a bite of your wrap onto your fork, dip it into the mixture of sauces, pick up a chip and eat it and make your taste buds go insane!
Other sides that I’ve ordered include: Corn on the cob, spicy rice and garlic bread:
The spicy rice is nicee but it wouldn’t be one of my first options. Sometimes you’re just in a spicy rice mood and you have to order it haha. The corn on the cob is yummy too, sometimes it comes a little burnt but I kind of like it that way. Once again, probably won’t be one of my first choices as I have to pick it up and eat it with my hands, and it gets messy and I tend to prefer a knife and fork lol. The garlic bread is perfect, crispy and tasty. You can also see the burger above, extremely tasty and no sesame seeds for those with allergies, but I would still prefer the wrap over it. And the chicken thighs/chicken butterflies which are always on point.
The new side that I tried yesterday was…
Supergrain – grains, green and full of beans with an avocado buttermilk dressing. I genuinely didn’t know what to expect. I was just excited to taste it and it really was very yummy. It might become a regular side helping be balance out the healthiness. Chips = unhealthy. Supergrain = healthy. Chips + Supergrain = balanced diet! All the flavours blended in so well. The buttermilk dressing gave that perfect twist and complimented the grains and greens so well.
The Nando’s salads are also very delicious and filling. The above one is the Mediterranean Salad with semi-dried peri and piccolo tomatoes, cucumber, mixed olives and feta cheese, on a bed of mixed leaves with spinach.
I’ve also had the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was AMAZING. You know how I am with my caesar salads. Nando’s does it so well. I wish they sold their caesar dressing in stores 😦 Now one might say, you’re at Nandos, why would you have a salad? But trust me, they aren’t plain, they aren’t “just” salads. They are very delicious, tasty and satisfying.
The above is the shared full platter with a whole chicken (half hot and half lemon and herb) and 4 sides, 2 peri salted chips, one corn on the cob and garlic bread 🙂
I think that’s about all the pictures I have from my recent Nando’s visit. I’ll definitely add to it when I go next, if I eat anything new 😛 #fattyforlife
The review for this will be simple. The prices are extremely reasonable, no fuss. You see restaurants who become successful and suddenly increase their prices. You see restaurants in high-class areas which are expensive. But with Nandos, the ones in Central London and the ones in the less posh areas, prices are all the same and I would actually say cheap! Never change Nando’s, you’re awesome x
