I'm not freaking out, you're freaking out. Also this is....major/recognizable to me actor number 5 on The Good Wife who were also on Person of Interest (Elizabeth Marvel (Alicia Corwin), James Carpinello (Joey Durbin), Boris McGiver (Hersh), and Carrie Preston (Grace). They really DID film this in NYC!

Side note: I used the collab search feature on IMDB and saw like 50 other people (cast and crew) who worked on both and a certain Amy Acker as well!

There are three IFT flashbacks! An explanation from the most adorably smiley flashback-Harold of how the Machine works. A demonstration - for the first time seeing Harold interacting with and even talking to the Machine (his sotto voce ‘I know, I know’ reply to her warning him about Weeks is just 🤍).

And Carter meets Finch like for real! (and he’s soooo hot jfc)

And, and, the story of the week is wonderful in every way. I was completely gripped by it the first time I watched. It’s still great and suspenseful and funny and all-around entertaining.

Love this episode!

TM vs. Root in Fire Wall

So my best friend just posed a question after watching Fire Wall: Why didn’t TM give out Root’s number, since she was the perpetrator?

I’ve given it some thought.

Root was Caroline Turing, but she never made it obvious that she wanted to be a victim on purpose, so her becoming a perpetrator was not predictable for TM.

Furthermore, no one expected Alicia Corwin to show up (I think she had tried to hide and avoid being seen by TM, she was even more paranoid than Harold), so Root killing her was not planned, either. It just happened accidentally, so to say. Root was never considered a perpetrator, and when Alicia Corwin came up TM couldn’t warn Harold and John anymore.

However, TM must have known that Root was after Harold and TM. But Root didn’t want to kill Harold, she wanted to get to know him at first. This is what TM might have calculated. So TM didn’t consider Root an immediate threat. However, Caroline Turing’s life was in immediate danger, so TM gave her number to Harold and John.

I don’t know how much Root revealed on the outside that TM would notice. Since Root knew she dealt with an ASI, she must have been extremely cautious to not reveal her plans.

(Btw I would’ve loved to get to know more about Alicia, she seemed like an interesting person. Considering her paranoia she was a lot like Harold, and maybe she just lost faith in an ASI, while Harold maintained his; and I’d like to know how she and Nathan got along.)
