ehehehhee hi Ammy
😭 share a snippet that will break our hearts
Excuse me while I come out and shoot you in broad daylight with feels via this snippet from my battle of haven WIP lol
Also, Thalia's 'I'm not a child' line is a direct callback to this bit of dialogue from The Ties that Bind:
“I’m sorry,” he said. “You’re not a child anymore. I shouldn’t presume to treat you like one.”
Pravin faced Thalia in disbelief. “Are you absolutely bloody insane?” Thalia recoiled slightly, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. “Like Cullen said, we don’t have other options.” “You’re going to sprint out there and try to strike up a conversation?” “I mean, if I’m the target—” “He’s going to kill you.” Thalia’s mouth tensed. “I’ll find a way out.” “I told you,” Pravin hissed. “I told you these people would twist you to their cause. Force you to follow along. I told you I would not bear to see that happen—” “It’s. My. Choice,” Thalia said, enunciating each word clearly, even as her voice shook. “And my idea. I know what has to be done, and I’m not a child; don’t presume to treat me like one.” Her words stung, knocking him mentally off-kilter; he’d stated as much, reflecting on his treatment of her after a far more innocuous spat. “Thalia—” “I want you to go.” Her face scrunched; she swallowed back tears; righted herself. “I need you to go. I need for you to live through this, alright? Please.” “Don’t concern yourself with me; I can’t let you—” “Please.” Her palm came to rest atop his hand—his right hand, he realized, which was clenching her upper arm. He peeled his grip free and let his arm drop, the pain of the gesture subsiding to a dull ache. He looked at her without seeing her, calling to mind the glow of her smile but a few hours ago: cheerful, delighted, thrilled to experience the world with him. How radiant her future had seemed then, he thought. How much he’d loved her, then. How fanciful he’d been, to assume that her good intentions wouldn’t catch up to her. He took a step back, flexing his fingers, stilling his features. “I’m sorry,” Thalia whispered. He shook his head, his grief sharp as ice. “Maker go with you, Herald.”

I beat Okami for the first time!
I'm very sad it’s over, it easily being added to my favorites list. It’s not super long or hard so It could easily be an annual replay like wind waker is for me. The Zelda influence is pretty obvious but I think the game very much is own thing. Also ammy is absolutely delightful she as lot silly dog mannerisms that I see in my own dog. Might try to 100 or at least get all the stray beads on another run when I have more time!
Tumblr media
The ending leaves stuff open for sequel that might never come... I hope we can see it one day, I know the original director expressed interest in it before covid.

/late, but OKAMI OKAMI OKAMI OKAMI I am always happy when new people get into it! Favorite game of all time and only game I have every played and finished repeatedly and the only reason I stopped was bad home decoration. Please feel free to tell me all the thoughts <3 ALSO yes Wakammy! This man is here flirting with a canine with his entire chest I love him so much. And Ammy does seem to reciprocate which I also love lmao <3 <3 <3
/Okami anon again Also the devils gates are so hard my sympathies and I hope your hand is feeling better! BUt! I now want to play Okami again so much I want to beat the absolute shit out of Orochi and experience the terror or running from the sea monster king and hating on the damn ghost in Kyuubi's headquarters you have to fucking race like three times when you hate racing-! ;u; Thank you for bringing back these memories! I need to fix my house now so I can play again! <3 (Also Himiko/Rao <3)
I don’t think I really count as a “new” person because I’ve had Ōkami pretty much since it was released in the US and I’ve played it on multiple systems, but it’s one of those games that always feels new when you restart it, y’know?
I love Waka just shamelessly flirting with Ammy, he doesn’t even seem to realize how it looks to other people that he’s over here calling a wolf pet names?? He fucking dances with her??? Waka honey what are you doing.
The Orochi battles are sooooo fun. He’s like the easiest boss aside from the Spider Queen but I just love his animations and his confused little Lightning head so much that fighting him is fun even when it’s easy. The fact that you get to fight him THREE TIMES is an absolute delight for me lmao
Fuck Tobi. I hate that goddamn slip of paper so much. I do not have the motor skills to get through those races without wanting to cry at least once.

2 Chronicles 25: 1-4. "The Edge."
Tumblr media
Joash "Grab the Power" is killed and Amaziah, "Getting Stronger" becomes the new king.
Amaziah King of Judah
25 Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan; she was from Jerusalem.
2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but not wholeheartedly.
Amaziah=
אמץ
The verb אמץ ('ames) means to be or become strong. Nouns אמץ ('omes), אמצה ('amsa) and מאמץ (ma'amasa) mean strength or power. Adjectives אמוץ ('amos) and אמיץ ('ammis) mean strong or mighty.
Jehoaddan=
עדן
Root עדן ('eden) has to do with free exchange of broadly diverse information, services and goods — which is where wealth comes from, in the modern understanding of economy. Nouns עדן ('eden), עדנה ('edna) and מעדן (ma'adan) mean delight, finery or luxury. Adjective עדין ('adin) means delightful or luxurious. Verb עדן ('adan) means to luxuriate or to delight.
3 After the kingdom was firmly in his control, he executed the officials who had murdered his father the king.
4 Yet he did not put their children to death, but acted in accordance with what is written in the Law, in the Book of Moses, where the Lord commanded: “Parents shall not be put to death for their children, nor children be put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.”[a]
Amaziah became the king like his predecessor after Seven Years. His 25 years of age have a Gematria of 2+5 or 7 years. The change in figures is due to the amount of time he reigned, for 29 years. 25 + 29= 54 years total which is the number of Parshiot in the Torah.
He quotes Moses and says personal responibility will be the rule of thumb in Israel, which is the overaching theme of the Torah.
Each year past Parsha 25, Tzav, "the Commands," the King apparently improves in his ability to run things including getting vengeance against his parents' killers in a very sensible way: By leaving Eden behind and finding his own way.
Before one can be wholehearted in the effort to move out, the Gematria for verse 1 says one must be Agazah, אגה‎‎זח‎''a person with intensely good feelings" Just as Moses was the day he led the people of Israel from Egypt:
And It Came To Pass That Moses Looked And Beheld The World Upon Which He Was Created And Moses Beheld The World And The Ends Thereof And All The Children Of Men Which Are And Which Were Created Of .
The value In Gematria Is 10848, which returns the word אאֶפֶסחד‎ח Aepsahdah, which means, "To transcend the smaller realm for the larger."
ספף
Root ספף (sapap) has to do with creating, marking or temporarily reaching through the border between two essentially distinct realms that nevertheless have a common origin; this border circles around the smaller of the two so that this smaller realm sits within the larger. It's the verb that describes any such formation from the palisade around a tribal territory to the fence around a single house, the skin of a person or even the cellular wall of a eukaryote.
Noun סף (sap) means threshold or sill (and is also the word for a kind of goblin or based bowl). Verb סוף (sup) means to come at an end. Noun סוף (sop) means end. Noun שפה (sapa) denotes the edge of things. Noun סופה (supa) describes a violent storm (perhaps a tornado, in form comparable to a goblin or based bowl).
Noun סוף (sup) refers to reed, which grows at, and thus marks the border between water and dry land. From reed comes papyrus, and books mark the border between the howling outer dark and the enlightened space within. The industrial production of papyrus, of course, was an absolute marvel and a milestone in information technology (easily comparable with the invention of floppies and disk drives in our age).
Verb ספה (sapa) means to sweep away (across the threshold, out the door) and so does verb שפה (shapa). The latter may also mean to skim, to shave or to border-mark by means of a protruding beacon or mark. From the latter comes the verb שפת (shapat), which describes some kind of setting or placing just outside the realm of civilization, and that usually by means of a ring of conspicuous, guiding and protecting fires. Proverbially, both the contagious and the extremely poor, and of course the shepherds, their flocks and wild animals abided on the dark side of these fires. The latter verb also yields noun שפי (shepi), which describes bones sticking through the skin of an emaciated man, or hills that likewise conspicuously mark some border, presumably in an otherwise flat landscape.
Verb שוף (shup) appears to mean to violate in the sense of illicitly entering one's personal space (or body). This verb became associated with the bite of a snake, and the noun שפיפן (shepipon) denotes some sort of snake, presumably one that attacks by darting from its burrow and then swiftly retreating.
The new King of Israel, Amaziah, embodies everything one needs in order to capitalize on a society that has given up on apartheid, has resurrected its value system from the past, and perform the Fellowship Offering, AKA kindness, the "edge" between fellowship and personal freedom.

hi, Ammie here!
how are you?
I've seen you post a lot of Leverage content, and you seem to be very invested in the show, so I was wondering if you would recommend it? and if so, what is the age rating roughly? it seems like the sort of thing I would like to watch :)
thank you!
Hello, Ammie! Delighted to receive this ask—that's how I am. 😊 So excited to talk about one of my favorite shows.
Tumblr media
I would absolutely, with no hesitation, recommend Leverage. It's a fun show where goodhearted criminals take down rich and powerful bad guys (who hurt and exploit others just because they can) while creating a family for themselves, and I think that's something we all need in our lives.
It's official rating is TV-PG, while most review sites I found have set their recommendations for viewer ages anywhere from 12 to 15 years old and above. There is some violence in the form of a punchy man punching other punchy people, but no more than your basic superhero show (less, probably). No explicit sex, though there's some innuendo here and there. It explores some fairly serious themes and they go against upsettingly terrible people, but if you pay attention to the news, these wouldn't be anything unfamiliar. It's never dark for the sake of being dark. It's a mostly lighthearted show that wants its audience to be happy, and to give them a world where the corrupt get their comeuppance, their victims receive justice, and lonely broken people find a home in each other. Who doesn't want that?
It's not a perfect show. It ran from 2008-2012, and some jokes aged poorly. Representation could be much better (though they're making up for it in the revival series). But there's so much to love and to enjoy in the original Leverage. Give it a chance and it might end up one of your comfort shows. It's that kind of wonderful.
Thanks for asking me!
Abby

TT, what are your overall thoughts on QH 2.0? I really liked Kabhi chemistry and funny/romantic portions of the show, but the plot was kinda predictable. What did you feel bout it? Have a good weekend!
Hi hi anon! 🤗🤗🤗
Lol, achcha hua you sent in this ask, coz I was meaning to make a post about it anyway. 😊😊😊
Man, I quiiiite liked the show. I didn’t expect to like it as much; esp. coz these reboot thingys never really work for me, usually the characters are just there (literally) in name, with absolutely none of the things we loved about them in the original. But this series did a really good job of bringing back everything we loved about Zoya and Asad; and even made it better (Asad is not a perpetually angry asshole this time, just merely withdrawn and exasperated, but fully in control of his emotions. Except when it came to his feelings for Zoya.............. He was fully driven by his heart there and *siiiiiiiiigh* ngl, it got me a lil swoony. 🥰🥰🥰) The callbacks with the scenes/dialogues and character quirks were suchhhhh a delight, it really was like our same old characters, just set in an alternate universe. Also, bringing back Dilshad/Tamaatar was just such a balm to my heart. I wish we’d seen Asad interact with them more though. Oh well, that’s for S2, I guess! (Also crossing fingers for finally getting my recommended dose of “Ammi, woh BECHAARI nahi hai!!!!!!” then, coz honestly.............. It’s literally my favt. part of the show.)
I found where the show falters is the whole.............. Spy thing. Like....... It’s kinda ridiculous to think of, imagine the govt. recruiting Virat Kohli or Mary Kom or any other eminent sportsperson of the country as a spy and sending them on full-on dangerous missions, lol. Kuch Bhi. Every time Mandira Bedi showed up on the screen I was rolling my eyes coz this whole angle was just tooooooo far fetched. Also you’re right about it being predictable as hell; it’s coz they literally gave it all away in the trailer. It would have definitely packed more of a punch if we just saw unexplained shots of WHY Mandira Bedi is keeping track of Asad/Zoya until they revealed that he’s a trained spy at the midpoint.
Another thing I wasn’t toooooo keen about was the randomness of some of the characters thrown in. Like, Zoya’s parents and Sana (MY FAVE!!! MY ACTUAL FAVE!!!!!!!! PLS GIVE ME MORE SANA I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!!) and Zoheb/Anika and all work; even Salman and his irritating family/gunde, and the annoying Phupi contributed to the plot properly, but why was the cast so bloated with so many randos on Asad’s side? Like what was the point of bringing back Rashid and that whole plot point of him leaving Dilshad for Shireen (whom we saw for LITERALLY ONE SECOND)??? Ayaan toh phir bhi theek, he had a purpose to serve towards the end (not too much, but thank god, kuch toh dikhaaya; the fact that Najma turned to him when she couldn’t reach Asad and he just readily showed up willing to do what he did, lol..... I loved it.) but like...... That ex girlfriend plot??? Kyun? So ainvayi. It served no real purpose (other than one callback in the last ep ka car scene where Zoya asks him about the ring.) They even brought back the actor who played Farhan (Imran’s brother/Nikhat’s haraami husband) and I was like oh, yeh BHI hai iss plot mein, but he was just there to be a chamcha to Mandira Bedi? Hein? Why cast this dude specifically and confuse us if he had nothing to do with the character from the show?? Isse achcha toh you shoulda brought Vikram back as Imran and have him be the secret Pakistani spy.
So yeah overall, I’d give the show an 8 out of 10, maybe even an 8.5? The aesthetics and production quality and stunts and everything were on point and executed really well. The title track is awesomeeeeeeeeeeee and I’ve been humming it ever since I saw the trailer. The acting and chemistry toh was evident from the trailer itself, and it delivered splendidly. Everyone here knows that I’m not really a KSG fan, but honestly no one else can play the character of Asad like he does and have THIS level chemistry with SJ. Everything I hated about his character in the original was done away with and I really was able to wholeheartedly ship the couple. Surbhi toh........ Kya hi kehna; Zoya is a role she fully inhabits and I’m just so glad to see one of my absolute favt. Tellywood FLs return, and that too in perfect form!!!!!! And the fact that it was on the web and we finally got one of our Tellywood OTPs kissing for realz? I’m ecstatic, lol. 🤪🤪🤪 So yeah, on the whole, I really liked the show, it was a good binge watch for me (who’s been away from Tellywood for the past few weeks, and esp. anything of QUALITY..........) I’m so glad S2 has been confirmed, I hope we get it within the year (max by this time next year) coz I really need to know how that cliffhanger resolves and how their relationship progresses!!!!!!!!

#Repost @qasim._.misaq with @make_repost ・・・ Qasim Reviews @homemade.wholesome ✍️ . STOP EVERYTHING! 🛑✋🏻 Now order these brownies first, then we can talk. 😗 . I have had many brownies (many = MANY! ) But a bite of these, and that single little bite made it’s way to my heart, and then to my conscious, and I let these in my best brownies list. They didn’t plead, they didn’t ask, they simply told me to let them in. All it took was a bite. 🙈🥰 . The texture bois! Phenomenal! 🙌 I was shooketh. I was clutching my pearls. I was enthralled! It’s highkey moist with a capital m, amazingly fudgy, astoundingly chocolatey, impressively rich, and absolutely delightful 🤤 When you’ll have these brownies, you will immediately get the feel that this person has been in the baking biz for long and knows their shit. If you still find issues, stop being a Karen. 😌🙊 . Chocolate-Orange is a relatively new and unfamiliar flavour combination for me since I’ve never tried a dessert based on it. Also because Ammi always kept away Orange Creme from Quality Street every time we got them “because they smell suspicious”. Anyways, took a risk, and while I do enjoy oranges on their own, sadly these weren’t for ME. That’s not to say they were inherently bad, as quite evidently, they’re excellent, it’s just that my palate wasn’t accustomed to it, and I didn’t grow up liking it as well. What I CAN appreciate though is the scent which will drive you delirious, plus the resounding and striking orange flavour present throughout the brownies; something I especially look for in flavoured brownies. 🍊🍫 (at Karachi - The City of Lights) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLPPW8sBocS/?igshid=43cz13wx8tad

Dreamer, Part 6
Parts 1-3 https://we-are-guildmaster.tumblr.com/post/186332090734/original-story-dreamer Part 4 https://we-are-guildmaster.tumblr.com/post/186722752629/dreamer-part-4 Part 5 https://we-are-guildmaster.tumblr.com/post/187124114564/dreamer-part-5 Anthony helps me clean my face while we wait for the plastic to arrive. I'm struck most by the smell. It's like a raw sewer on a hot day, just rank and overwhelming. I avoid looking to the other side of the room where Rackam is laying. The Madam talks with Ms. Landers in hushed tones in that language I don't know while we wait.
After a few minutes Hassan and a small troupe of house staff arrive, carrying a roll of sheet plastic and pushing a cart full of supplies. How often are they called on to clean up a body that they have a fucking cart ready to go within a few minutes notice? As Hassan lays down a layer of plastic to create a walkway, other people begin to put on rubber gloves and boots and spread out a body bag. I know it's a body bag because I've watched far to many American television shows and movies. Others are taking cleaning products and start spraying them on the spreading stains and splashes on the walls.
Another takes a large robe and offers it to Ms. Landers, who accepts it with a nod and shrugs into it.
Hassan finishes with the plastic after a few moments and the Madam leads us out of the office with authority. “We will await you in the small library when you are finished here Ms. Landers.” she says over her shoulder as we leave. “Feel no shame at what transpired. You have served your station and name proudly. Wear your form with pride.”
As we leave she walks like a woman who is command of the situation and knows exactly what to do. No matter that a murder has just happened not 15 minutes ago. Or that there is a huge werewolf standing in her office covered in gore. Or that a cleaning crew is mopping up a body and bloodbath like it's a spilled coffee. Oh no, the Madam is in control of her house, and she is pissed. I can almost feel rage pouring off of her in waves.
Arjun appears out of nowhere like a puff of smoke. “Ammi, I was informed of the... affair with Steward Rackam. I have started making the necessary calls and arrangements as per your protocols.” He shoots a side long look at me, “There is a complication however.”
As he's speaking we walk through an arch and into a very not small library. The ceilings are at least 4 meters high and covered wall to wall in books, manuscripts, sculptures, and works of art. A large set of south facing windows lets the mid-morning sun in framed with a breathtaking view of the landscape surrounding the house. “A complication Arjun?” She asks in a very business like voice, but you could cut stone on the angry edge of her words. “And what would that be?”
“The Dreamer, ammi, he is uninitiated into the ways of the tribes. He has no sponsor and no ties to the servant families. His presence at the unfortunate events could mark him as a liability to the continued security of the tribes. There are requirements that must be seen to quickly if he is to be protected.” he talks like she already knows what he's saying, like he's just repeating something that is common knowledge.
The Madam walks across the library and picks up a discreetly placed phone and presses a few keys. “Please pass along a message to the First Lord from Madam LaRoche, his direct intervention may be required in current matters. I await his convenience.” she places the phone back in it's cradle.
“Ammi, do you believe this is an attempt on the Dreamer?” Anthony asks.
“Of course it is.” she says mater of factually, “Whoever engineered this series of events, and it is not Councilor DeBrock, he's far to subtle to be this ham handed, knew that the Dreamer would still be outside of our traditions. The required course of action is well laid out and known. Now we must move quickly to prevent it.” she looks at me with almost pity in her eyes, “What happens in the next little while will determine if you live or die. I will need your trust and obedience if you are to survive. Myself, Anthony, Ms. Landers, and my staff are the only people you may trust at this moment. By law of hospitality, if your life is to be taken it will only be through our deaths that it will occur.”
“I don't understand ammi, I've seen dozens of this kind of thing in my Dreams, and it's never been a problem. I've haven't told anyone anything since I was a child, and no one ever believed me.” I say. My voice is shaky and I'm sweating badly. I don't know that I've ever been this scared, “I didn't do anything, everything just happened. I don't understand.”
Anthony is the one who speaks next, “The difference is that you are awake. Anything you see in a Dream cannot be used to harm the Tribes. You telling anyone of what you see while you sleep is of no danger. Awake and unconnected to the tribes, you are a witness and a dangerous liability to the continued security of our people. The Dreamers owe fealty to no one and serve out of a sense self preservation for the most part.”
I can hear people hustling through the halls. The Madam turns to Arjun, “See to it that our other guests are moved to the west wing, with our regrets, and that security is increased. Have yourself and the others do your best to make them comfortable and insure that no harm comes to them.”
“Upon my life it will be done ammi.” Arjun does a formal bow and leaves the library with purpose.
Madam LaRoche leans against the edges of one of the tables. “The Tribes are thirteen in number, each divided by region, sect, and history. They are not confined to tidy lines on a map, more a series of territories group together by likeness. Inside each of the Tribes are many different breeds, some related, others not.”
Anthony locks my wheels into place and crosses the room and opens what looks like a book shelf but turns out to be a small armory, with guns. Lots of guns. He takes out a shoulder holster and a large hand gun and puts them on. The look of a gun belt on a robed man looks kind of odd but given the circumstances I don't say a word. He crosses back across the room as the Madam Continues speaking.
“Each breed hold a place in a general hierarchy, from the low and common, to those who by the intrinsic part of their nature are superior to those around them. The First Lord and Council members being of the later type, as are myself, Anthony, and Ms. Landers. Beneath the least Tribesmen are the servant families. Humans who are descended from a series of long ancestral lines that are in service to the Tribes and have been for over a hundred generations. Each member of the servant families knows from a young age that they will, in some way, serve the Tribes and consider it a high honor. Steward Rackam was one such man, having risen in the ranks from the House of McTyren, to being a Steward to a particularly powerful member of the Council. Sir Microft DeBrock, Lord of the third region, you would know it as most of the United Kingdom, and a staunch traditionalist.” As she speaks I hear motion in the hall and see other people, I can only guess that they are other guests of the Madam, moving past the library.
One of the guards appears in the doorway, “Ammi, the most honored requests a moment of your time.”
The Madam stands and straightens her clothing and stands a little taller, Anthony does the same, “By all mean, Aahi, see her in.” As the guard leaves the door the Madam turns to me, “When the most honored enters the room do your best to bow and wait until you see Anthony and I rise before sitting up again. Say nothing unless directly spoken to. The most honored is far above all of us in station and demands all due respect.”
I nod dumbly. Up to this point the Madam has been the soul point of power in the house, to see her act as if the Hand of God is about to walk into the room is noteworthy.
A few moments later the guard returns, “Ammi and company, may I present the most highly honored Nieth Maloof, daughter of the goddess, and the voice of divinity.”
Anthony and Madam LaRoche both go to their knees and bow their heads, I lean over as far as I can without tipping myself over and do not look up. I'm expecting Godzilla or Superman to walk in, but what I hear is the voice of an old woman, “Rise my children, and speak freely with me. I would know why I am being moved from my rooms and to the security wing, and who this delightful young man is.”
I haven't been called young in a long time. When I was in my thirties I look like I was fifty. The years haven't been kind to me. I see Anthony and the Madam stand up so I lean back to sitting up and look at the person before me. She looks like someone's grandma. She has skin the color of old leather and a slight bit of hair coming off her chin that you see sometimes off of really old women, not a beard, but not hairless either. He hair is white and pulled back into an intricate knot pattern behind her head and her robes are simple but trimmed in gold and silver brocade. She leans on a knotted wooden cane with a silver knob for a head, it looks slightly tarnished by use but is still bright in places.
The Madam approaches her and kisses her hand, “Most honored, you bless us with your presence. There has been a minor incident in the household that may require a response from forces high in the Council. I deemed it wise to move all of the guests, including the person of the most honored, to the security wing should something go amiss.”
Daughter of the goddess and the voice of divinity. I had a Dream years ago where I heard that title used in passing, every monster there bowed their heads and did what I can only guess was the monster equivalent of making the sign of the cross. I know from that Dream that some of the people there were really high up on the ladder of power, and all of them reacted the same as everyone else. Absolute respect and almost an aura of fear. And here she was, a grandma in a robe. I was at a loss for how to react, so I just sat there.
“And who is the young man in the wheelchair my child? I do not smell the Tribes upon him, nor does he bare the look of one of the families.” she sounded curious and like she knew what the answer was going to be before she even asked the question.
“Most honored, may I present the Dreamer, who was sent for by the First Lord to recount the events surrounding the deaths of earlier this week. He, as we all, are at your service.” Madam LaRoche motioned her hand towards me as if unveiling a piece of art or a prize possession. “He is untrained in our ways and is in the midst of the unpleasantness that brings us to move your person.”
“Ahh yes,” the old woman said, “I had heard that a Dreamer had been summoned. I have not met a Dreamer in many years, let us take a look at you.” She stepped close to me and gave me the once over. “Aren't you a sight child. Battered and bruised, frightened and confused. All this must be so upsetting to you. Yes?”
“Yes, ma'am. I'm very much out of my element here and not sure what to do, if I offend you I am very sorry. I... don't know how to act ma'am.” this little old woman intimidates the hell out of me because of the reaction she gets out of the others.
“Ma'am,” she smiles, “how quaint.” there is genuine amusement in her voice, “You may call me Nieth. In my native tongue it means goddess of war, although I haven't held that title in many years.” she smiles at me. “Be at ease young one, the Madam and your caregiver are well liked by me.” she pats me on the knee, “Unlike some members of the Tribes.” she says with a wink.
“You bless us with your considerations, most honored,” says the Madam, “we are, as ever, at your service.”
“Then of service you shall be. I will be returning to my rooms, there are none among the tribes, even those foolish enough to see themselves above most traditions, who would attempt to do me harm. Prepare a tea service with lunch and have the Dreamer brought to me in two and a quarter hours, at the time of high sun. A fortuitous time for conversation.”
“Most honored it will be as you say, however between now and then forces of the Council may arrive to investigate the matters at hand, and I will be obliged to cooperate with them should they ask certain things.” the Madam seemed to wait with anticipation as to Nieth's response.
She smiled a kind and mischievous smile, “Then you will tell them to wait. I will have my lunch and tea with the Dreamer and his man. This is my will. See that it comes to pass.”
“On the word of my heart, it will be as you say most honored.”
“And call my doctor to see to the wounds on the young man. While the ministrations of his caregiver are well and good, I would have him taken care of personally.” she smiled and laughed slightly, “A Dreamer. It has been such a very long time. I will speak with you soon young man, be well. Nairobi, Anthony, you do service to your stations, I give you my blessing in the coming days. You may each invoke my name thee times between now and the next full moon, twenty one days hence, and what you declare will be as if it came from my own lips. That should clear any hindrances that you may face.”
“You have blessed us beyond measure, most honored.” Madam LaRoche, Nairobi by name now, and Anthony went to their knees again so I bowed again too.
Nieth walked from the room, “ Aahi, you will see me back to my rooms.”
“As you say most honored”
With that she passed out of sight and the Madam and Anthony stood. Madam LaRoche looked at me. “Unless you are in her presence, do not utter her name. Although she has given you permission, her name carries the weight of an imperial decree within the Tribes. Not even the First Lord would go against her unless it be of the most dire of circumstances. Anthony, consult with the doctor of the most honored as she has said. This is unexpected but may yet work in our favor.”
“Ammi, I will do as commanded, but I fear that the ministrations of the most honored may only be a temporary solution to our problem.”
“Her blessing will purchase us the luxury of time, of which we will need every second. Now go, there is much to be done.”

Former Limerick striker Rory Gaffney joins Walsall on loan from Salford City
Former Limerick striker Rory Gaffney has joined Walsall on loan from free-spending Salford City for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign.
Gaffney joins the Saddlers having played for Salford three times already this season, scoring on two occasions for the newly promoted side in the league.
The 29 year old forward joins the recently relegated League One side off the back of a promotion winning season last year with Salford.
While at the Peninsula Stadium, Gaffney scored 14 times in 50 appearances for the Ammies, who are have been bankrolled by the Class of 92 in recent years.
Gaffney, before making the move over to the UK, played with Mervue United for three years before joining Limerick in 2011.
The Tuam native spent a further three and a half years at the Superblues before joining Cambridge United in January 2015.
He has since gone on to play for Bristol Rovers amongst others. Speaking to his clubs media team, Gaffney admits his delight upon joining Walsall; “I’m absolutely delighted to join the club for the season,” said Gaffney.
“It happened pretty quickly over the last few days but when I got the chance to join, I was more than happy to do so.
“I spoke to the manager on Friday and I know all about him and about the staff that are here as well, like Marcus and Brian, so he didn’t really have to say that much to convince me to come here.
“I know some of the lads who are here as well, like James Clarke and Stuart Sinclair, so I was really happy to take the opportunity to come here.
“It’s the first time in my career that I am re-signing for a manager, so I know exactly what is expected of me, I know all about the training and what is expected of us as players.
“Having played with James and Sinco, I know straight away what they are like as players so it’s easier to come into a group that I know a few faces in.”
