Catra being anxious and having panic attacks over the bad things she did is actually counter productive to any hypothetical scenario where she is self reflecting and/or receiving constructive criticism.
Her potentially having crippling anxiety over being an asshole in the past PREVENTS and/or DELAYS any changes she might potentially make.
Making this character spiral over moral dilemmas does not inherently mean she’s actively working to change her ways. Her being afraid of facing her badness does not make her good; it simply means she has anxieties toward constructive criticism/dialogue.

i feel like itd be rlly funny if the reason why eddie didnt like steve before he met him wasnt any of that "oooo steve BULLIED him" fandom bullshit but that steve has like. natural musical talent that he doesnt really do much with bc he doesnt care or something. like steve was mindlessly doing polyrhythms just tapping pens on his desk in class or sth and eddie had to jump out the window
LMFAO it's like a disney channel episode dramatic plotline he hears steve singing bruce springsteen or something by himself in the locker room or something incredibly casually sophomore year and has to run out of the school to go practice deep breathing techniques in the woods telling himself over and over that metal vocalists don't have to sound "good" that's just another way they try and get you to grind yourself down in the machine but he's crying and punching trees. so upset. writes a song that says GOD HATES ME on the school bus ride home

one of my favorite parts of rereading the republic is how fucking petty plato can be
sure, sure, there’s a lot else going on about what makes a good leader/governance/society but so much of it is plato going so anyway, fuck that cephalus dude in PARTICULAR (and ps this isn’t just my opinion so don’t come at me, this is SOCRATES talking hey guys, did i mention he was my mentor? anyway “socrates” says cephalus is a virgin who can’t even drive and we should all throw rocks at him)

gonna be real bud if your fic relies so heavily on intense triggering themes and shock value that you're averse to putting warnings on it to "maintain surprise" and "avoid spoilers", then you act like you did nothing wrong when people are upset that you didn't make any effort to turn them away and allow them to protect themselves, while also telling them it's their fault that they read something that upset them when they could have never known it contained specific things that will upset them, i think you are a tar pit

One day I’m going to write an Ochako character piece where she gets sick of standing in Deku’s shadow and breaks off their relationship in order to find herself - only for the media to begin constantly linking her to other Hero’s in the hopes of causing/unearthing drama.
She loses herself, succumbs to the idea that she’ll only ever be as good as the males she’s attached to and sinks…
It’s funny, she thinks, for someone who can control gravity - she sure does feel heavy.

i feel like ppl online need to realise that its ok to just arbitrarily not like an artistic decision WITHOUT it having to be “problematic” or a symptom of a deeper systemic issue. the amount of times i see discourses started about some piece of media/art where the criticism is just an incredibly bad faith reading of the media in question is insane like i assure you its okay to just be a Hater. just don’t be a dick about it

I don’t think Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji have actually stonily ignored each other for 16 straight years since Wei Wuxian died. I think their relationship has ebbed and flowed and changed shape several times, and that they’ve reluctantly worked together in situations where they’ve realized “ugh, That Fucking Guy is the only other person in this room with the Correct Opinion,” and most importantly I think they have a huge argument every few years to keep the loathing fresh and alive.
They’ve actually put a lot of work into their relationship, but the work they’ve put in is purely to maintain as much animosity between them as possible. And that is why they seem so very divorced.
