I find Nancy and her relationships so interesting because I feel like the show makes everything way too simply mostly in favor for Nancy. Like the narrative automatically sides with her every time.
In s2, Jonathan shouldn't have encouraged her like that when she wanted to expose the lab. In s1, Jancy was on the same page, Jonathan wanted to find his brother, Nancy, her best friend, so they were working towards the same goal. In s2, Jon didn't have the desire to expose the lab. It's Nancy who is trapped in her guilt that turned into revenge that wanted to do something. Jon had positive experiences with the new lab and realistically wouldn't want to risk putting his mom and brother, who go there weekly, in danger. Especially after witnessing the whole problem, the gate and the vines spreading, he should have put a stop to it. Both didn't know about El being alive. The lab literally was the only thing that stood between the demise of Hawkins. They were the only people searching for a cure. Automatically, Jon should have pushed back bc Nancy wasn't thinking straight bc she was too wrapped up in her shit. Jonathan helping her accept Barb's death in a different way would have been more powerful and helpful bc Nancy still struggles with it after everything. Plus, I'm a believer that the lab would have searched her bag before, knowing she had plans to expose them.
I feel like when Nancy is in a relationship or even with friends, people always have to say yes to her with no pushback. If you push back, she just moves onto someone who will say yes. Robin was her yes man in s4 Jon in s2. In s3, he pushed back the slightest, and you see the conflict that came from it (financial struggles) was never truly resolved from Nancy's part. It carried over to s4 where Jon is afraid to tell her truth that he can't afford to go to college with her. Now, the show treats Jonathan as the villain for this without asking what caused him to lie to Nancy in the first place. It's also because the narrative lets Nancy be right. I think Steve was the only person in s4 who was a bit apprehensive with the plan, and yet this is treated as something bad, or he doesn't know what he is talking about. Or within the fandom people use his different opinion as proof he doesn't get Nancy, and look at Robin who just goes along and understands she's the best suited partner for her.
I feel like Nancy doesn't grow much personally throughout the series because she never gets truly challenged. And if she does, it's resolved in a way to her favor. Like, I think she needs someone who isn't a doormat who challenges her in a way that makes her realize she has to change her behavior in certain situations. I will forever mourn the plot s4 could have gotten if they made Robin into the person who would challenge Nancy. Both girls are smart. If Robin was the driving force in the investigation god, that would already set Nancy off.
oh yeah, the show sort of hands Nancy relationships on a silver platter and we never see her actually put in effort towards them? and this prohibits Nancy from growing more than she could! It doesn't let Nancy be wrong let alone admit she's wrong. We see Mike apologize to Will, and Steve apologize to Dustin, we see Robin and Steve have back and forth and Steve trying to get robin a gf, and we see El and Max spend time together talking and getting to know each other. we see them interacting in a way that we see there is a push and pull.
But we see Nancy and Jonathan fall into bed together, Jonathan supporting Nancy's (ill-advised, even if the show won't admit it because that would mean saying Steve was right) plan to expose the lab. I think your point about Jonathan not having a reason to do that is super interesting because you're right! we know the lab is sketchy as hell, but to Jonathan they're the reason Will went missing, but also the reason they got him back. Will's been getting treatment or tests done there for nearly a year by that point, and while Jon may be distrustful of the Lab, wanting to take away the only official support his family has for what they went through doesn't make sense. What were they expecting to happen to the MASSIVE ALTERNATE DIMENSION GATE if the lab shut down? (why did owens show them lmao. why weren't they searched?) it makes no sense and just reinforces the idea that Steve had a point. I think if they had been able to have the library conversation not in public, then maybe he could have worked something out to help Nancy but alas. They didn't and people just point ot it as Steve dismissing Nancy and pretending everything is fine (when Nancy was also doing that!!)
When Jonathan does resist Nancy's idea (which isn't even UD related she just wanted to prove herself to misogynistic jerks) because financially his family needs him to have a job, and him having a job working in a field he likes and enjoys is a best case for him to get better work out of hawkinis/into uni, and honestly Jon had a sweet gig because he didn't mind the work, it was good job experience, and it would look good on a college application.
While Nancy is right that they shouldn't treat her with mockery, I can't help but think it's...incredibly naive of her? She was an intern. She wasn't going to get anything other than interviewing people for fluff pieces if she got anything other than typing/gofering to begin with. It's frustrating because living in a sexist world you do have to pick your battles. She has no power there, because she's an intern and replaceable and a teenager. It's just not realistic to me that she would think she would get anywhere or get away with trying to follow the rabies rat lead. (which is also...a boring story like oooh rat rabies? in a town where whole fields of pumpkins rotted on the vine? Very much an excuse to inset Jonathan and Nancy into the plot [season 3 is a mess and the best thing from it is robin and scoops troop which tbh makes up for it imo]) Like she could be mad and frustrated and insulted and humiliated, let her rant about that!! about her powerlessness! That's interesting and heartbreaking because there really isn't anything to do but quit then. but idk what she thought she was going into in a male dominated field in her podunk town. Not blaming her just think that writing decision should have been thought through more.
Her fight with Jonathan actually kinda made me think jancy was interesting for a second because yes!! those are real conflicting issues and priorities!! That's relationship conflict that's real and natural for the characters to have! and misunderstanding!! and then Nancy's mom (ew) gives her a speech when it's like bro. you're owed an apology but you also owe Jonathan one if you want to repair and strengthen your relationship. So she never apologizes and jon gives a half-assed apology and then they never have to talk about it again because the UD is here and that's more important!! It's another place where Nancy's development stalled and it's frustrating because it also makes Jonathan more of a doormat (sorry Jon you've been done so dirty)
their s4 conflict is so stupid to me. It goes both ways like damn Nancy if you missed your boyfriend whose family is notoriously broke maybe you should go visit him? or talk to him? It's an issue for both of them (I think it's really weird that people bring up steve's RV dream and wanting Nancy beside him to shit on Stancy but barely bring up the fact that Jonathan [admittedly in a catastrophizing spiral, but one might also think Steve, having been half eaten and going into a situation that could kill him, was also not in his most steady of mind] assumed Nancy would drop everything to be with him in California (after saying she's incredibly ambitious) and they'd have kids etc? idk it's just that both mentioned kids but only Steve mentioned his own experience with taking care of kids, wheras Jon is using that as part of his excuse for lying to her...) Jonathan lying is obviously a problem. He's "slow-mo breaking up with Nancy" and that's an issue he's got, but we only see Nancy stressed about it but also not...really do anything about it? idk we don't get to see her fight for her relationship with a boy she supposedly loves! Why not? Why can't we see Nancy's stubbornness and pride and ambition turned in the direction of saving her relationship with Jonathan? Instead of him just coming back to Hawkins and them still being a bit awkward around each other, him lying, her having been flirting with Steve for a week. Like. Why didn't we see her pull him aside and go "okay I love you. We're obviously having issues and it's absolutely not the best time but I can't take not talking to you and feeling like we're drifting!"
With the whole plan at the end of s4...yeah. The narrative/show can't let Nancy be wrong and/or Steve be right. It also needed a plan that would fail. So we get Steve pushing against the plan, treated like he's being irrational for it, and then it failing. As for Nancy needing to be challenged...I mean yeah? but also I think a key part of what she wants from romo relationships is to not be challenged! She doesn't like when her boyfriends push back against her ideas/plans, and ignores them anyways. Which is why it's so frustrating that there have been opportunities for the writers to let Nancy be wrong and learn and grow and they just...don't. They validate her decisions even if they make no sense.
And the thing is...Robin is Thee driving force in their investigation. she gets it right again and again and is the reason the connection to music is even made, But for some reason I feel like the show treats it as another Nancy Investigation Success instead of Nancy being the one that was just kinda there and also a bit mean to robin for no reason other than jealousy. The opportunity for Robin to be a challenge to Nancy's authority was there! It was there and all they would've had to do was have Robin not suck up to Nancy, have the show/narrative acknowledge it was Robin who was the reason the got any information beyond the name Victor Creel, and have Nancy realize that she isn't infallible and right all the time. It would have been so good to see her take stock and reconsider herself and her decisions and her relationships and want to make a friendship with Robin, who wouldn't be co-operative.

What you said abt p'jojo, I feel this.
For Chueam, I thought for sure she would be more developed but I understood quickly (but not so quickly) it wouldn't and i was sad. Yeah sure it's a BOYSLOVE, but I thought.
The thing is, I started the first 3 eps of the show and realized it wasn't what I thought it would be, and that is saying smthg bc I had zero expectations. So I did a thing that I already did for a little few other gmmtv shows, I stopped watching, let loose of my thoughts, and started over 2 weeks later and catching it up live again. And honestly it was better. But I wasn't like other ppl in the fandom lmao. I had no analysis, no theories, no nothing. It was just vibes😅 But then something happened and idk why, but I got bored of it ??? Idk maybe it's like you said and this series had lots of shocking value, but in other departments it was lacking.
Like the lack of repercussions or like just you know, finishing somethings, having resolutions. And having it makes sense for the characters, bc how you feel with something tells you what kind of a person you are. But they seem to kind of always cut that ? I don't know the words exactly English isn't my first language sorry (I'm so mad I can't find the words it's killing me my god).
For me it was also too much for the stable pairings if it makes sense. Like the first and khao and book and force (Mark and neo in this series as a couple was a great choice bc I didnt that 'problem' with them). I don't follows the actors closely at all but sometimes I could sense something weird. Like it's for example an actor interacting with the other actor he's close with, and not another entity interacting with another with their own (fictional) feelings. Again I'm really sorry for my weird English I don't know how to say it 😅 hope it makes sense lol.
So all in all, kind of fun, I don't mind having characters that have a grey moral, in fact I like them the most, or having characters opposite of my morals, bc it makes me think, and keep things interesting (well usually).
I like the mess usually, and I did like some in this series, but maybe this show is not for me bc it was a mess yes be for me not the right reason in a way, I think. Also I love a series that is concentrated on friends but sometimes hum something was lacking idk.
There is one thing that happened who made me rrreeeaallly think. Bc a character isn't supposed to always be the light of reason, and can make mistakes, or just have a different opinion of mine the watcher. And I like that. But yeah at one point I wanted to wake-up-slap Chueam. Bc I dont understand what the show/the story/the show runners whatever  was trying to tell me. And that's what I talked abt earlier. Bc either it is something that is not well resolved until the end, or it is and that's just that. Honestly idk.
[ Boston find a new group of friends. Bc they're like yeah we're messy and fucked up and then act or pretend like they are morally white and the he is evil. But I do like though how Nick and Boston broke up. That he should find someone who is okay with his way of life and share the same sentiments abt monogamy.]
And lastly I like the actors but i I'm so tired of seeing them with the same couple pairing. I want them to grow up outside of their couple pairing bc you can sense a sense of safety net when they act together. I find they are GOOD actors, I just want them to fly more.
But then again, all of this is my opinion, it's very subjective (apart from the lack of development of chueam, of course).
Maybe I'll rewatch this series next year in a binge. I'll be waiting for your review, if you will do one.
Sorry this is long, I send you my regards 🐝
I agree with everything you've said above. I think that when p'jojo announced this show as the gay friend zone, I was hoping it would bring the one thing that friend zone does not have into its show: queer community. I was hoping that, despite the drama, this would feel like such a relatable show to anyone who has a queer group of friends... but it really wasn't. the only parts I truly LOVED are sand being openly bi, though sadly all of his relationships are with men, and the kiss scene between sand & nick when they just laugh bc they realize they're not compatible. THIS! this felt like the queer experience. if the show had leaned into this kind of scenes, I would've honestly overlooked everything else. but again, having watched friendzone where 1) its female characters are developed 2) its WLW characters are loved & developed 3) stud is the best "slutty messy gay" character and boston WISH he could be him 4) topmew are just a re-hash of samearth's boring ass relationship 5) arm's character in friend zone was everything boeing should've been... the purpose of only friends becomes only the audience being shocked bc two random actors kissed and/or fucked. and by the end? I got mond & first kissing yet I felt nothing. ME! the biggest not me stan & a fan of the gramyok ship... felt absolutely nothing about seeing them kiss. bc since everyone kissed there was nothing to be surprised about. I'm glad that despite the show's popularity, people are FINALLY opening their eyes & seeing that it was not a good show and never was from the very start.
note: I feel the need to say something bc a few people have been misinterpreting what I mean when referencing the queer community. I do think this show represents some of the queer community well, and perhaps I relied too much on people knowing my opinion of jojo tichakorn & his previous shows for it to get understood. what I'm saying in this ask is that the show didn't lean into the queer FRIENDSHIP enough like the nicksand kiss example that I stated above, not that the queer experience reflected on the show is bad or unrealistic.

OKAY SAME ANON sorry this is the third one,, but im going thru the rest of your asks and im realizing so many things.
I agree, a show SHOULD be able to stand on its own as an individual thing rather than counting on a sequel to continue its story. Now that I'm looking at the show in this lens, it is very lackluster. I still do quite love it, scratches that slice of life itch,, but mystery wise? No. I loved how ominous the "Everyday" song was. I thought it was supposed to foreshadow Armageddon (which it did, kind of) but more so it was for the Beel Gabriel reveal in the end. Aziraphale ran around looking for clues, but the annoying thing for me is he never puts it together? It was just something he does for US, the audience. It would've been good if he acknowledged all those clues in the ending, or realized it faster than us. In the end it seems so fruitless for him to investigate bc it never really did him any good? It was just for the audience to see. Also the Nina--Maggie subplot was cute, but it was also lacking? I like the point of "you cant force us together" bc theyre humans and its not that easy. But as a subplot it was waaay too ignored for it to be any relevant at all to the plot.
The thing about you mentioned abt A/C being supporting charas in the book, I agree. The good thing abt their dynamic is even with little clues and gestures we realize how good they are w/each other. The subtlety is what makes everything MORE interesting. But s2 makes it revolve around the ship, to the point where its all just filler. I dont mind filler,, but as you said, canon-compliant filler would be better. I appreciate that they're the main characters now since more screentime but I'd love it if they weren't ship-focused and still had proper interaction and dynamics with people outside of their circle (which I liked from the book + s1).
Anyways,, I still like it. But I appreciate seeing your takes since it really changed the way I view the show now. I feel more neutral about it now somewhat? I'm not invested in fandoms anymore bc of irl stuff so I don't think I would've spotted these things like you did so I really, really appreciate all your insights. Thank you. There's a lot of things to fix if s3 ever gets announced.
I think Neil mentioned that Terry brought up the "Everyday" song as a song about the Apocalypse (the book or S1), which could have been so good and ominous......instead it got used on this random Beelz x Gabe romance that came out of nowhere 😂😂 I thought the Nina x Maggie romance had potential in the beginning, but also completely fell flat/didn't go anywhere towards the end. Again, my takes are NOT trying to convince people who liked the show that they should change their opinions and NOT like the show anymore -- I'm just trying to explain why I personally didn't like it. Feel free to enjoy it as much as you can! Unfortunately I had way too much insights about it for it to be enjoyable for me 😂😂

I dont see Helaena cheating. I see her having feelings for Aemond both romantic and sexual in nature but I don't see her cheating. And IK people bring up the "so you don't want female characters to have agency and sexually fulfilled lives? So you think only men are allowed to cheat? So you think all people with autism are aroace robots with no interest in sex?" arguments and I believe some anti-helaemonds genuinely smack of that kind of thinking, but something it's simply: I just don't think Heleana is that kind of character from what we have gotten. Helaena not cheating doesn't mean all real woman cant ever cheat or all female characters cant ever cheat, its just in Helaena's case she does not. There are female characters who cheat, not as many as men, but they're there. I don't see why Helaena specifically not cheating would be such a big blow? Is it because of the autism? In that case the scarcity of autistic characters should be criticised IMO; we shouldn't need to make one autistic fill a niche by herself. Thats just sad tbh.
It's the only reason I don't believe anything happened between Helaemond on the show and will be very surprised if it has or will unless helaena does a 180, which IG could be a kinda fun angle - her becoming more like Aegon/a Dragon. But there's so much gonna be going on I don't know if we need this. I'm just a little sick of Aemond I guess.
Just to maybe drop a different perspective.
hey there, i want to take this opportunity to assure everyone that, with all my ranting, i'm not really a prescriptivist person, bent on shaping the way people interact with their chosen piece of media :)
so, if that's your interpretation of helaena's character, that's completely fine in my book, and you are entitled to your headcanons. don't get me wrong here, i'm not trying to police the way people consume fiction or how they like to play in their own sandboxes, lord knows there is enough room for all of us under the sun. so, if you think that she wouldn't cheat for various reasons, i'm not here to contradict your view specifically and tell you you're wrong. our opposing opinions can co-exist just fine in the space-time continuum. :))
personally speaking, i interpret their social & familial roles breaking down so much within this cycle of generational inbreeding that whatever this is doesn't even register as cheating anymore since the regular boundaries start bleeding into one another. but that's bc that's what i find a really cool idea to explore, others can and should come up with their own takes
i only take issue with a certain type of moral framework that excludes all other possible interpretations bc it doesn't fall within whatever the circulated papal bull stipulates at the moment. especially when it's over really silly stuff like this. meaning to say that other people are not stupid or badly-intentioned or sinister or secret team black sleeper agents :)) for enjoying alternative possibilities. and, i have to say, it does feel really kind of rotten when you hear how other greens talk about helaemonds like they carry the plague, bc i think there are some really lovely people in this little internet niche that could contribute in a lot of positive ways to the fandom.
i, for one, can't control how people choose to judge me for not shutting up about this (lmao this really unintentionally feels like coming out, which is absolutely ridiculous, touch-grass-levels), but i'd think it rather childish if 1. i felt force to go underground and lie about it so people wouldn't blacklist me for this dumb reason and 2. i couldn't really engage in other ways bc people formed this unfair opinion that i'm some tainted radioactive waste. i write a lot of meta on a lot on topics and i enjoy talking to a wide range of people, which is why i rarely even block, so, that's just a personal disappointment i would have as a fandom navigator.
at the end of the day, it's.... you know, whatever, as far as i'm concerned, because i have a big mouth anyway and i don't really shut up IRL either, so, in that regard i had to already teflonize myself. but i feel like a lot of users are held back from participating and being more active for fear of judgment, which is just a damn shame, as the toxic voices always tend to drown out the ones who would really help turn this place into a more pleasant experience for everyone
so, what can i say, i'm a big softie, y'all

Bonnie and Enzo was just a rushed mess. He first showed interest in Caroline and Damon’s mom, and then switched to Bonnie, it was honestly the epitome of ‘we don’t know what to do so just put him with Bonnie’ but as usual they couldn’t let her have anything so they killed him off. They always gave her such safe love interests which is why I liked Bamon and Bonkai, the latter more so than the former simply bc tvd does this weird thing were they’ll make all the characters Damon sympathisers/defenders. One of my fav things about Bamon was the provocation they brought out in one another and it seemed like once the writers clocked it they made sure to have Bonnie become Damon’s best friend who found a way to defend his actions and decisions. Which is also why Bonkai worked for me bc there seemed to be a real opportunity for the writers to show this equally toxic and destructive, dark relationship where they both forced the not so good parts of each other out, something tvd rarely allowed to be shown with Bonnie.
So, basically I didn't miss much with Bonenzo. I am in no way surprised that they killed him off because as you said, Bonnie can't have nice things.
I feel like even with the provocation was shown with Bamon in earlier seasons it was used to prop Damon and demonize Bonnie which is why a large amount of the fandom disliked her so strongly, well that and because she's black but that's another post. Then when they're dynamic gained popularity the writers absolutely clocked it and turned her in to a Damon prop because Damon was the one who had win out over every male on the show. Which was why he was supposedly the root worthy brother over Stefan. Which is why he got to kill Kai. Which is why he got Elena. They wouldn't allow him to actually lose and hated to see him undermined in any way which is also why he didn't honestly have much character growth at all. Stefan was actually more developed and they did it by trying to undermine and destroy his character for Damon's sake and accidently made him more nuanced as a result.
You're absolutely right about Bonkai. Most of my knowledge of them is from clips but in every scene you saw the potential and Bonnie developed as a character in all of their interactions and we got to see that underlying darkness a lot of us had been waiting seasons to see, come to the surface.
The problem is those writers honestly had not idea how to write dark ships. If you think about it, even DE and KC weren't possible without neutering Klaus and Damon and dumbing down Caroline and Elena, because they refused to let these characters go there without involving half ass redemption arcs and because they hated the idea of their pets looking bad when honestly it would have been more enjoyable all around if everyone got to explore their darkness full on no apologies at different intervals, especially Bonnie.

I think you need to check yourself because it's not the jikook delulu that started problems as you say. The shipping thing can be annoying, every groups has them, but I love how everybody just turns a blind eye to the shit Taekookers headed by their manipulating leader, Tklives has caused by painting Jimin into an attention needing homewrecker who forces himself on Jungkook. That caused the problems to the point that now any interaction that Jimin and Jungkook have is labeled fan service and JK is forced to pretend he likes Jimin. That group are the ones filled with larries. When I first joined this fandom I was bombarded with Taekook videos on youtube trying to paint Tae and Jungkook into being secretly dating but the company is forcing them apart to keep it secret. Sound familiar? Only this time an fellow band member is the beard supposedly used to hide the "real couple". While some Jikookers are annoying af with their insistence that Jungkook and Jimin are a couple without solid proof or confirmation, all most of them do is watch actual BTS content and squeal about what Jimin and Jungkook have actually said or done. Meanwhile you've got Taekookers who rely on slowed down clips or videos made to manipulate a situation and then surprised when someone shows them actual footage that was left out of those clips or videos. They also make up shit and then spread them as fact. Example - Tae was also supposed to go to Tokyo with Jimin and Jungkook but he decided to go with family. Wtf??? Where has that been said??? No where. All Jimin said once was that he wanted to go to Tokyo with Tae. I've seen so many Larries believing Taekook is real and that's because they're use the same blueprint! Shipping is out of control in BTS but I find it pretty shitty that Jikookers are painted as the ones causing problems when it's been the virus in this fandom called Taekookers causing most of the problems. Most of them are despicable towards Jimin and his friendship with Jungkook. I'm disgusted at this fandom continuing to ignore the actual idiots. It's fucked up.
Dude…. This is exactly my point.
Y’all take it way too far. There is no reason for this to be so deep. At the end of the day their RELATIONSHIPS are their PERSONAL lives. There should not be SHIPPING WARS. Read your fanfiction and mind your business. No need for the constant delulu and psychoanalyzing every single interaction they have.
Learn from the Larries, Louis literally said the shipping ruined his friendship with Harry. But I’m not worried bc the K-fans will not let it get that far lmao. They will check y’all so quick.

10 Great Opportunities the Showrunners of the Flash will Keep Missing Until Snowbarry Happens
Tumblr media
There are many opportunities the writers of the Flash are missing by ignoring Snowbarry. These are 10 of them:
1. A Chance to be More Unique:
The biggest argument for the existence of WestAllen in the Flash TV show is that it happened in the comics. The writers of the Flash tv show have ignored the Comics from time to time so that they can provide a unique take on the tale of the scarlet speedster. This means the writers are not bound by what happens in the comics and can break away from following any plot line originally derived from there whenever they feel like doing so. Moreover, the sucess of Olicity shows that a non-canon pairing can be just as sucessful a canonical one especially when you have two actors that can provide the chemistry required to make a love story believable.
2. A Chance to Delve into Symbolism
Whenever Snowbarry becomes Flash and Frost, they can be represented by the symbols of the main manifestation of their powers.
In s01 we got this line:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's time for the show to go back to using symbolism to express deeper meaning. WestAllen cannot be symbolised but Snowbarry/Flashfrost can and this will make watching the Flash more fun when Snowbarry's symbols keep popping up in different places.
Tumblr media
The showrunners need to remember that Snowbarry's symbols can even be commercialised.
3. Merchandising
Flash and Frost have their own coffee but when Snowbarry happens they can have a combined coffee for the both of them and that would be so cool.
Tumblr media
Flashfrost symbols can be used to decorate necklaces and rings.
Tumblr media
They could even make T-Shirts and many other things that can be sold. All it takes is for WestAllen to be set aside and Snowbarry should have all the focus it deserves and it can even help with the ratings.
4. A Chance to Boost Ratings
Making Snowbarry the main couple will be a welcome change bc a lot of Flash fans hate Iris and are sick of all the drama she brings since it's clear that she has nothing more to offer the show other than crappy drama that most people skip bc its annoying. This season, the writers have been trying to make some changes to the tone of the show in order to attract more viewers but since they also decided to double down on WA, their plan is not as successful as they expected it to be. Very soon, the writers will stop listening to the small group of WA fans and start listening to the rest of the fandom and this will eventually lead to more Snowbarry scenes and we can finally get some answers as to why KF was so loyal to Savitar.
5. A Chance to Tie Up Loose Ends
When it comes to Snowbarry, a lot of things are unclear bc we got a lot of hints that they liked each other in s01 but the writers didnt want to go into any of that bc they suddenly felt it was time for us to get IncestAllen. Then s03 came along and we got 03×07 which had the most iconic Snowbarry scene which left us wandering whether Caitin wasn't over Barry and if it was possible that Barry was even aware of how deeply Caitlin cares about him. The issue of Caitlin kissing Everyman when she thought he was Barry has also been left unresolved. Barry and Caitlin have never even talked about it. There's also the fact that Barry calls Caitlin "Cait" and has been compared to Ronnie many times. All of these questions can be the addressed once the writers stop forcing WorstAllen down our throats and start focusing on the special bond that exists between Caitlin and Barry.
Tumblr media
6. Expanding Snowbarry's Special Bond
Snowbarry has always had a special bond and it stems from how similar their lives are. Even in s04, their similarity is basically the main focus as we keep watching them trying to defeat their main villains. The special bond they have is very strong and it reflects in their ability to talk in sync, finish each others sentences and even move at the same time. It is quite impressive and so deep bc they can basically read each other's mind since they know each other so well. Its hard to believe they just met in the first season of the Flash. Their bond is beautiful and should be showcased for the world to see bc nothing about it is forced, it just comes naturally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Flashfrost Improving Each Other's Powers
Flash and Frost should be fighting crime side by side as Flashfrost. Tbh, Barry should have been the one to train Caitlin on how to use her powers after 04×05, instead he spent all his time training Ralph Dibny. The sad thing is KF can help Barry use his powers in a new way and we won't get to see that until Snowbarry or Flashfrost happens.
Frost helping Flash is so remarkable bc it shows she can really help him with crime fighting instead of merely being his love interest.
Tumblr media
8. A Chance For Barry to Get a Love Interest that isn't Just a Love Interest
Many people keep saying they liked Iris in s01 but I only liked Iris in s02 bc in that season, we got to see her at her job more often, she had a friend outside STAR Labs and most importantly, she wasn't a love interest for almost the whole season. Unfortunately, once she started dating Barry, she turned into the thing he had to save and she got so used to it that she even asked the villain to take her in 04×01. Even with all the pathetic attempts to make Iris seem like the leader of Team Flash, she's still nothing more than a useless love interest bc she can't do anything herself, she just gives orders and seats down. With or without her powers, Caitlin's presence is vital to Team Flash and 03×21 showed they wiĺl always need her. Once the writers are tired of forcing Iris' annoying storyline, they can bring Caitlin to the forefront and Snowbarry can outshine WestAllen without even trying bc they work well together and individually, the fate of the show rests in their hands.
9. Making the MVPs of the Show the Main Couple
Since s03, Barry and Caitlin's storylines have been the entertaining part of the Flash for many viewers. Even in s04, Barry and Caitlin still have the best storylines as Barry is now tasked with defeating the Thinker while Caitlin has to find a way to defeat Amunet. This is even the main focus of 04×09 and it just shows how much more interesting it will be if Caitlin and Barry had to face all of this as a couple. They're basically going through the same journey and so far, its been a bumpy ride that is always more interesting to watch than WA's therapy or wedding or whatever. Snowbarry always shines no matter how hard the writers try to repress it bc they are the true MVPs in the Flash and this is all thanks to Granielle.
10. Showing Granielle's Chemistry
Grant Gustin and Danielle Panabaker are real life besties. They provide the amazing chemistry that Snowbarry is well known for. Even some WA stans have admitted they like Barry and Caitlin's friendship and that's bc Granielle interacts well and it shows whenever Snowbarry interacts. I just don't know why anyone would want to ignore such chemistry.
