#and that he convinced landon not to sacrifice himself
Text
One of the many things that bothers me about how they treat Landon is how they use his self sacrificing tendencies to justify him being left behind or killed since he’d be okay with it.
Like how they had MG saying Landon would agree with him about leaving him trapped in the prison world, so it’s okay to leave him there to die. Or how they had Hope going to Raf to make sure Landon would be okay with her killing him before going through with it. And Raf confirming that Landon would understand so go ahead and kill him. And ever since the beginning of s4, even though Hope would resist at first and not wanna sacrifice Landon, they’ve still had her ultimately doing it when Landon tells her to. She still goes through with it and let’s Landon convince her. Like killing him in 4x04 (even though we later see that she believed they could’ve found another way) and leaving him behind in 4x17 (even though she could still try and save Landon later rather than just accept that he’ll stay trapped there). Or how Landon told Seylah it was okay for her to leave him in limbo and that he’s fine staying there, so then she does. It’s like once they’ve got Landon’s approval, they go through with leaving him behind or sacrificing him. But just because Landon says it’s okay doesn’t make it right? Especially when he has been treated as disposable throughout his life, he’s literally so used to it at this point. And this is someone who has been su*cidal and has harmed himself in the past. Then they have him being okay with dying or being harmed, and then use that to justify hurting and killing him?? It’s like the writers really could not care less when it comes to Landon’s mental health and how messed up this is.
Landon is always saying it’s okay to leave him, it’s okay to kill him, and the writers will use this sort of self sacrificing/self destructive behavior to encourage the other characters to go through with it and make it seem like it’s okay? No one ever just tells Landon no. I mean, Hope will at first but in the end decides otherwise. For the past season anyway. (I’m also not blaming Hope’s character btw, it’s the writers who have forced this and it’s ooc for Hope.) I know Landon convinces her, but it’s the fact that the writers let her be convinced and go through with leaving him or letting him die. When they should be able to find another way. And Landon needs to be told that him being sacrificed isn’t the right choice and that they’ll find another way. He’s gotten so used to being the one who gets left behind and screwed over, it’s like he expects it and always believes it’s the right choice. And the writers always put it in a context to make it seem like it’s the right choice and the only choice, which is so wrong and not true, but that’s a whole other subject. But we can see that Landon so often feels like he shouldn’t be the one who is chosen or saved. And it’s gotta be so damaging for Landon mentally, for him to believe these things, and for them to be confirmed to him over and over again. Especially after he’s been mistreated and left behind all his life and it’s just continued to happen, even with the people who love him most. (It’s also even sadder thinking back on 2x11 when he didn’t understand why Hope chose to be with him. And to see that he feels like he can’t or shouldn’t be chosen even in these life or death situations.) Even if he acts like he’s fine and that he believes it’s the right choice, deep down, that’s gotta be harmful to him. Not that we’ll ever know much about how his mental state has been but, I mean, he’s at the point where he now believes he belongs in limbo. And the writers didn’t even have Hope deny it? When she should be telling him, no, you don’t belong here and you’re not supposed to be the one who is always left behind. But instead they have Hope, of all people, accept these things. Which probably just makes Landon believe these things even more, even though it’s completely wrong. But literally no one is speaking up about how wrong it all is.
That’s also one of the many differences you can see between the showrunners because characters did speak up more when Julie was in charge. When Landon was drowning himself in 2x01, Josie finds him and is concerned and upset and tells him it’s wrong for him to be doing that. And yeah, that whole thing should’ve been addressed better and a lot more since it was basically dropped after that. But it was better than nothing since nowadays, that sort of thing would never be put in the show. And at least it was kinda brought up again in 2x07 as well, when Landon was gonna drown himself again so the sphinx wouldn’t find him. They had Raf stopping him and telling him it wasn’t okay. Even if he can come back because of his phoenix powers, he still shouldn’t be doing that to himself. Or also with 2x04, when Landon wanted to kill himself to get rid of the demon, both Hope and Josie were adamant about Landon not putting himself at risk. And this is all minor compared to what’s been happening to Landon since Brett took over, and he’s handled it all entirely differently. With him in charge, Landon harming himself/being harmed has been twisted to seem okay and right, with all the characters just giving in to it. And this is all when Landon hasn’t had his phoenix powers too. And not to say that Julie is the best showrunner either, but at least with her in charge, they tried to show that it wasn’t okay, even when Landon did have his powers. At least the value of Landon’s life and the importance of him not repeatedly being harmed as a way to solve their problems, or just because he was a phoenix, was acknowledged to some extent. But it’s been the opposite of that for the past couple seasons or so. The whole thing is just yet another aspect of the writing and how Landon is treated that’s been unsettling to me. And I still don’t understand how they’ve continued to push these messed up ideas about Landon being sacrificed without ever doing anything to fix it.

Do you think once Landon and Hope interact Hope would say mean things to Landon cause her humanity is off or no? Like Caroline never said anything bad or hurtful to Stefan when hers was off. Do you think there's some truth to what she says about her 'friends?'
I can’t see that happening at all. I could only maybe see her saying something about fake Landons again, because I imagine she’s gonna think he’s fake and will have to be convinced that it’s really him. But I can’t imagine her saying anything bad about Landon himself. And yes exactly! Even with her humanity off, Caroline didn’t say anything bad about Stefan. She was actually still calling him kind and loyal and knew he could bring her back. 😂 So yeah, I can’t see Hope saying anything rude to Landon. And I feel like there would have to be some truth to what she said about her “friends.” I feel like the stuff about Cleo and MG, for example, is most likely true. Cleo did do a whole lot to hurt both Hope and Landon and Landon’s death is partly her fault. So I feel like Hope probably meant that, as well as the stuff she said to MG about being a leader. So much of that conversation came from what Hope has had to do as the hero and the leader, having to kill Landon and make that sacrifice. MG has never made a sacrifice like that, can’t possibly understand what Hope has gone through. So I feel like Hope did mean what she was saying then. Idk if there was truth to some of the other things she said, I think some of it may have been more about her not wanting to deal with the squad and the fact that her humanity is off, but idk.

Sebastian’s Backstory (Analysis)
From 2x09 I think we can piece together some of Sebastian’s backstory. So here is my very long analysis/recap on what we know about Sebastian’s backstory and what parts I think are the truth and what parts are lies.
CHILDHOOD (1570s-1580s)
At 8 years old, Sebastian’s parents sold him to merchant ship. This suggests he grew up in a poor family and probably didn’t have much of a childhood to begin with.
Sebastian continuously ran away from the ship, but the crew always found him. He was either really bad at running away, or the crew had a few supernatural members on board who could track him. Werewolves or vampires could do it by scent. Witches could do it by using an object he owned.
They punished him, likely with some form of torture, perhaps magical in nature. This happened repeatedly over the years, likely at every port they visited.
When Sebastian was 17, he was turned into a vampire. This was after 9 years of being enslaved to this merchant ship. It’s quite possible he found a way to convince someone to turn him into a vampire so he could fight back.
Sebastian likely slaughtered his entire crew and took over the ship. He became a pirate and killed so much that he gained the nickname “Sebastian the Merciless.” His ship flew the pirate flag, black with a white skull and crossbones.
He added other vampires to his crew and they went searching for things to steal or people to attack (Alaric calls them marauding vampire pirates). He would have needed some non-vampires to man the ship during the day, probably a witch or two on board.
ROANOKE (1587-1590)
His ship came to the Colonies (America) and he stopped at Roanoke. It is likely he met Cassandra there since she was involved with the townspeople and subject to their rules.
In Roanoke, Sebastian continued to be a monster. He still fed on humans while he fell in love with Cassandra. She obviously saw some good in him because she protected him from the town leadership, even going so far as to summon a monster worse than him so the town wouldn’t discover him.
Cassandra desiccated him to save him from the monster she summoned, and he watched from a spectral state as she was torn apart by the monster. She left the token that could destroy the monster around his neck in his coffin.
Somehow his coffin was moved from Roanoke to Mystic Falls. It’s unclear why it was in the basement of the Salvatore school or how long it has been there.
Sebastian claims to have been in that coffin for 483 years. Judging by his backstory, I think he is lying. He was likely a vampire for at least a few years before he was desiccated. I find it unlikely he became a vampire, formed a vampire pirate crew, and fell in love with a witch all in the span of one year, especially considering how much longer it took to sail on the ocean in that time period. But it is still possible that he was indeed desiccated at 17. We can only guess whether he was telling the truth or not. (I did the math, and if Sebastian really was desiccated in Roanoke, he would have only been desiccated for a maximum of 440 years.)
AWAKENING (September 2028)
MG and Kaleb splashed some blood onto Sebastian’s coffin while they were moving the blood fountain. It was enough to allow Sebastian to reach out to someone “fragile minded.” He chose Lizzie for unknown reasons.
Continuously, he warns her he is dangerous while flirting with her. He is definitely saying the right things to get close to her, and when they go on their date, he asks for what he needs. I think it’s important to note that he asks her if she has a supply of human blood and does not ask her to give him any of her blood. She probably would have if he’d asked, but he does not want to harm her or accidentally kill her if he drinks too much.
MG interrupts and tells Lizzie she’s seeing things, thereby breaking Lizzie’s connection to Sebastian, so Sebastian reaches out to MG.
MG won’t help him, so Sebastian takes advantage of Wade. It’s important to note that he doesn’t kill Wade. The Sebastian of the past would have killed him without a thought, but Sebastian of the present lets him go once he has enough blood to restore himself.
Sebastian lurks around the school and tries to attack Kym in the woods, but MG and Kaleb stop him.
When the Croatoan is on the loose, Sebastian offers MG sensitive information about his past to help them defeat it. He could have let the Croatoan wipe everyone out, or withheld the information until many more were slaughtered, but he gave MG the information as soon as he remembered it. He specifically mentioned that he didn’t want Lizzie to be killed by the monster.
Vardemus meets with Sebastian and decides he should be enrolled in the school to keep him from attacking people on the streets. Since this is Clarke, he may have had other plans for Sebastian, but we can’t know what that might have been.
THE SALVATORE SCHOOL (October-December 2028)
Lizzie makes Sebastian a daylight ring so that he can go pick up Landon with her. Sebastian says he wants to drink human blood, and Lizzie tries to ditch him on the side of the road.
Sebastian kills Landon. I fully believe that someone has told him that Landon is a phoenix and will come back to life if he’s killed. He was likely curious to see how that worked and probably did it mostly to annoy Lizzie. Landon wasn’t threatening Lizzie when it happened, and Sebastian isn’t just going to snap someone’s neck for no reason (at least not now).
Sebastian is charged with changing out the flat tire, even though he’s never done that before. He somehow manages to do it, but now that we know he worked on a ship, that kind of handy work wouldn’t be too bad for him.
Lizzie is not accepting his advances, so he reminds her he’s dangerous and grabs her neck. His gamble succeeds and she’s into the idea of danger. Sebastian and Lizzie have sex on the hood of her car.
Sebastian admits that the world has been cruel to him and that he wants to stay at the Salvatore school.
Sebastian and Lizzie have a lot of sex back at the Salvatore school, and they make out in the hallways. It’s safe to say the whole school, minus the teachers, know that she and Sebastian are kind of a thing.
Alaric tells Sebastian that he’ll have to pass some tests if he is to stay at the school. He has Landon administer the tests because he will come back to life if Sebastian kills him.
Sebastian makes an effort with the werewolves.
Sebastian recognizes that Alyssa set a trap for him by cutting herself on purpose. He has incredible self control. Literally every other vampire in the room has red eyes and fangs bared, but Sebastian is completely calm the whole time.
Sebastian helps calm down MG when MG’s ripper side takes over. He didn’t need to do this, but he obviously cares about MG enough to stop him from making a huge mistake. He knows about rippers and has likely seen some in his time.
Sebastian warns Landon that he should be worrying about MG and Alyssa instead of him.
Landon takes Sebastian to see the witches. Alyssa tries to get him to fail the tests again by using her magical orb to read his deepest feelings. It’s pretty clear that he’s hoping Alyssa will see how much he desires Lizzie and get embarrassed by his feelings. Instead she sees the truths he can’t even admit to himself yet. 1) The modern world is terrifying, 2) He’s afraid they won’t let him stay at the school, 3) He’s afraid they’ll find out about his past and throw him away “like trash off the side of a boat.” Alyssa’s word choice here makes me wonder if the feelings orb revealed anything about his piratey past. And then lastly, 4) He knows Lizzie is better than him and that he doesn’t deserve her.
Sebastian reacts badly, throwing Landon off of him, and then the witches use a spell on him. Lizzie stops them, and Sebastian looks genuinely terrified. He runs from them, embarrassed and wounded. I think what Alyssa said served as a big wakeup call to him. He has a past that he can’t escape, and he’s afraid that he will end up hurting Lizzie.
Sebastian works out his frustrations by practicing his sword work in the gym. Landon comes to talk to him. Sebastian opens up to him about his past on the merchant ship and how he was tortured.
Sebastian leaves campus and feeds on a girl jogging outside at night. Alaric has followed him and shoots him with a crossbow. I fully believe Sebastian knew Alaric was following him. He lured Alaric away from the campus to get him to stop him.
Alaric has discovered Sebastian is “Sebastian the Merciless,” a vampire pirate, but he’s still willing to give Sebastian a second chance. Sebastian could easily take this chance. He could act grateful and get the chance to stay at the school and sleep with Lizzie to his heart’s content. A true villain would accept that offer.
But Sebastian claims he’s controlling Lizzie and that he’s had sex with her all around the school. He says things that target Alaric’s anger. He’s goading him into attacking him. I fully believe Sebastian wanted to die to protect Lizzie. He felt that his past was too much to overcome and that she would be better off without him.
Alaric temporarily locks Sebastian up. Either Emma got a last minute flight or Alaric anticipated this happening and had her on standby. Emma helps to lock Sebastian in the prison world the twins made for Kai.
THE PRISON WORLD (February 17, 2018 - prison worlds run on a loop)
Sebastian encounters Alaric, Josie, and Lizzie in the prison world. He clearly knows that Alaric has sent multiple students to the prison world because he says “The miseducation of young minds.”
TL;DR - Sebastian has killed many people, but he is capable of love. He’s willing to sacrifice himself to protect Lizzie. Basically, there’s a lot more to Sebastian than we’re seeing.

I got a new theory!
My previous theory was that the Necromancer wanted to kill Landon so that Malivore would take a hold of his body. I still think this is true BUT it goes further than that.
I just rewatched the episode again and the last scene between Dark!Josie and the Necromancer peaked my interest.
Necromancer: You got what you wanted. Now it’s my turn. Let’s use that black magic coursing through you for my purpose. To raise and control Malivore himself.
Dark!Josie: Are you sure you want to do that? If we raise him and gets his dirty hands on Landon - he’d be invincible.
Necromancer: Don’t worry. I have plans for Mr. Kirby.
So, from this scene I figured out what’s happening. So, first of all, like I said in my previous theory, Landon isn’t DEAD dead. He is gonna be the host for Malivore but he is still there in the background, kind of like Josie and Dark!Josie.
Now, whether that’s true or not is not even in question. It is absolutely true. Malivore will take a hold of Landon’s body but before that the Necromancer is gonna raise Landon from the dead so that when Dark!Josie bring Malivore back and Malivore goes into Landon’s body, the Necromancer has the power over Malivore.
Do I think the Necromancer’s plan will work? Absolutely not. And as Josie said, once Malivore is in Landon’s body, he will be invincible.
I’m 100% I am right about this “theory” which to me is more of a fact that hasn’t happened yet.
The other piece of this theory is yet again a continuation of yet another theory I had about the word “Fatum” in the Noir episode where I did research on each word and Fatum means both “Fate” and “Doom”. I still mantain that that is somehow related to the twins BUT also to Landon.
Landon IS in fact Hope’s Fate but he is also her Doom. They were destined to meet but not in a soul mate kind of Fate, but in a Hope is the loophole to defeat Malivore because she is a Tribrid and Landon was born to be Malivore’s body in the real world. Landon and Hope were always fated to meet but they are also fated to be each others Doom.
“The greatest destroyer of all is love” this is definitely about Hope and Landon.
Now this could go several ways.
They both die a la Romeo and Juliet because Hope has to stop Malivore and that means sacrificing herself again, only Hope will come back a Vampire which will start at the worst time possible and Hope will probably shut down her humanity;
Hope dies to save Landon and defeat Malivore, Hope still comes back a vampire but everything is fine outside of that.
Hope won’t kill Malivore at first because she believes Landon is somehow still there which will cause a lot of destruction but eventually she has to face the fact that Malivore needs to die. Hope would never make this choice willingly so the only way for this to happen would be for a) the Saltzman wins and Alaric being in mortal danger b) Landon convinces Hope and he sacrifices himself so that Hope has no other choice than to kill Malivore.
I am personally of the opinion that option 3 is the one that will happen, then 1 and 2 is the one I think is the least probable.
What are your thoughts on this?

Legacies' Danielle Rose Russell Reacts to Landon's 'Choice,' Ponders That Twisted Riddle: 'Be Very Concerned'
Tumblr media
Legacies‘ latest supernatural visitor turned out to be a real know-it-all.
The legendary Sphinx popped up — as so many Malivore monsters do — in the heart of Mystic Falls on Thursday, interrupting an awkward conversation between Hope, Josie and Lizzie, the latter of whom did her best to ease the tensions between Landon’s scorned love interests. (“For the two of you not to be talking to each other just because you’re competing for the love of the same garden gnome, I think we’re more evolved than that as women.”)
It was a fun little scene, and for what it’s worth, Danielle Rose Russell has really been enjoying Hope’s newfound friendship with Lizzie. “Jenny and I never worked together that much, so now we’re getting really close,” she tells TVLine. “Unless you work together, you don’t get to spend as much time together on set as you might think. And I love the new dynamic between Hope and Lizzie. It feels like a very real relationship, and I hope it continues.”
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Josie and Landon turned to “Headmaster Vardemus” (aka Clarke!) for a way to destroy the Malivore portal that wouldn’t require any major sacrifices. His solution was to create a copy of Landon, inject it with Hope’s blood and send him into the pit, all of which sounded good on paper… until Landon’s clone, immediately upon being born, ran off looking for Hope, his one true love.
A furious Josie returned to “Vardemus,” who convinced her to channel all of her rage, sadness, etc. (all good feelings!) into a tiny trident, an adorable trinket that would have been even cuter if it wasn’t so evil. After drawing out Josie’s darkness, Clarke finally revealed himself to her, just as Alaric and Dorian were off putting the pieces together themselves.
“I started to figure it out after he devoured that monster at the end of Episode 3,” Russell says of Vardemus’ true identity. “Plus, we all knew that Alexis [Denisof] had a set period of time that he was going to be on the show, so I kind of figured he was tied into everything. And he was so wonderful to work with.”
With all secret identities finally out in the open, Hope & Co. faced off against Clarke, who tried to steal Landon’s body by stabbing him with that cute li’l trident. Little did he know, he was actually stabbing Landon’s copy (aka “Simu-Landon”), whose powerless vessel proved much easier to take down than Clarke’s. When the dust settled, Hope sat Josie down for a heart-to-heart chat, which ended with Josie giving Hope her blessing to re-enroll at the Salvatore School.
Upon learning from the Sphinx that “there’s no keeping Landon safe as long as he remains [at the Salvatore School],” Rafael convinced his brother to join him on the road, which also conveniently freed Landon from having to actually choose between Hope and Josie. (Simu-Landon was right about his real self being a total coward.) But fear not, ‘shippers of all forms, because a choice is still coming.
“In the next couple of episodes, you’ll see how he makes his decision, and it’s not how you’d expect him to do it,” Russell says. “He does care for Josie, and Kaylee [Bryant] has actually explained it really well: If you take every element of Landon and Josie, it makes sense, but that’s before you add Hope into the mix. And he’s clearly in love with her. He just doesn’t know what to do, or who to do right by, without hurting people.”
As for the Sphinx’s final riddle, which hinted that something even worse than Malivore is on its way, Russell says, “From what I’ve heard, including rumors, we should be very concerned.” She won’t say whether the riddle refers to Kai (“I honestly have no idea”), but she admits that she’s “so excited” to get to work with Chris Wood.
“From the scripts I’ve read with him in it, I can say that we have some really cool stuff coming up,” she says. “It’s definitely going to wreak havoc on the story.”
Your thoughts on this week’s Legacies? Any fun theories about the Sphinx’s final riddle? Whatever’s on your mind, drop it in a comment below.

She's The Loophole...Because Hope Mikaelson Hasn't Suffered Enough For One Lifetime
Tumblr media
This right here...this is so pure how they smile at each other, this kind of love should be nurtured and protected, but first it must be ripped apart, tested and put through literal hell and back.
Wow, that was one hell of a season finale and I have so many thoughts.  I knew this was a very real possibility, but damn it I had hope, painful pun intended, that Julie would not put us through anymore pain this season. Also Klaus did not sacrifice himself for his daughter for her to have to throw in the towel at 17. He’s going to be pissed, but also very proud because like father like daughter with all of that hero stuff when it comes to protecting the ones you love. First of all, seems like we were all pretty spot on about the brother being evil &  jealous of daddy’s love for Landon. I knew that our boy was leading him on a wild goose chase, but their is apart of me that is sad that he isn’t getting the big brother he’s always wanted, but he already has that in Raf and Julie better not destroy that next season with a damn love triangle. I can’t believe Jose was actually shot, but I like that Lizzie took the bullet for her. I really need them to stop fighting now and work on cracking the ascendant to stop the merge. I also really loved that scene where Lizzie admitted to all of them being friends with hope because up until then she had never admitted it and always seemed a bit jealous when Josie and Hope where becoming close. I am a little confused about one thing though. Since Josie drank Hopes blood, but didn’t technically die is she now a heretic or not. I would think not because she didn’t die? I think a lot of us thought for sure she was going to become a heretic and probably one of them still is at some point. I can’t believe Alaric might actually be stepping down as headmaster. All I have to say is Caroline is going to come back and wonder what the hell is happening. I really hope Candace plans on being in more of the second season. I want to say it’s not possible, but this might actually be why they brought Dorian back. I still think he’s going to be on the show just not the leader of the school. I can’t believe Raf is going to be stuck as a wolf, here’s hoping again, sad pun intended that it’s not for too long. I just love Landon & Hopes dynamic in this episode so much, especially with his nerdy banter about how to kill the headless horseman. I laughed so hard when he said “give him a bride”. Also when they reunited and their was absolutely no malice or hesitation on his part. All he wanted to do was hold her & he wasn’t even waiting for an apology. In fact he said he forgave her for everything that needs to be forgiven. He didn’t need it because he knew she never meant to hurt him & hearing her say I love you was better than any apology in the world. He wasn’t interested in holding any grudges, he just wanted his girl. When he said it wasn’t a huge secret because he loves her too & they both had these huge grins on their faces it was so amazing, but I just new that happiness couldn’t last not in this world. Handon is the type of ship you just want to wrap in bubble wrap and protect from any harm because they deserve so much good and instead they just keep getting kicked over and over. I loved when Hope said damn Phoenix Combats no joke because she was seriously impressed by her man in that moment. Then came the moment we all dread in this fictional universe Julie has created and continues to draw us into, the pain...so much pain. Of course Hope is the Loophole, we knew it when she said she was the cosmic mistake, it was a setup, but we were all crossing our fingers that it would be something else...anything else, because this girl has lost everything. I did enjoy seeing her take his brother with her though, it was a little bit of sweet justice. Hope Mikaelson has lost her father, her mother, basically her entire blood family & all season long she kept fighting for the boy she loved only to save him just to lose him in the end. This girl is so amazing & selfless, she deserves a lifetime of happiness, but I have a feeling things are gong to get even messier before she comes back. I’m talking Elena trying to move on from Damon because she erased him from her memory messy, which means Landon will probably be dating someone else when she comes back and we will have to suffer through that, but I’m not worried. I don’t mind watching them fall in love all over again. I guess if I’m nervous about anything it’s the idea that this is where Julie could implement the love triangle by having her & Raf kind of get together & then have Landon start to remember her and what they had. In other words make it really f*cking messy because that’s what she does. I wouldn’t mind seeing Hope doing everything she can to convince Landon he’s her person. I just know they will find each other no matter what, it’s the true test of any otp. Can you imagine Hope making it out of the pit and showing up at the Salvatore school and no one knows who she is but she’s a supernatural creature so they have to let her in the school. All of a sudden Landon sees Hope and he gets this feeling of dejuvu and he feels like he just knows this girl. From then on he can’t get her out of his head. I definitely feel like this is how it could go or this would make a good fic over the summer. It really is going to be delena all over again, but then again they were epic and I have a feeling Handon will be too.

S3 made me dislike every character and now they made me dislike Rafael. Talk about an accomplishment. Not only did they have him be completely unfazed when finding out what's going on with Landon but to also have him be completely okay at the thought of Landon. Rafael(Landons brother) the only other person besides Hope who actually cares about him and would do anything to protect/save Landon, is okay with him dying 😑😑😑😑. Do they really expect anyone to buy that? And I don't think I'll ever be able to find all the right words for how much this one line pissed me off. When Rafael said "after the life Landons had, him being at peace is fitting." (Or something close to that I can't really remember it word for word). Just no, no and no. I mean obviously he should and deserves to find peace when he dies. But you know after he's lived a few more decades or so. After he got to live a long happy life. Maybe have kids if he want it to, figured out what it is he wants to do with his life rather it has something to do with music or making movies(for some reason I can really see Landon making movies) etc. But most importantly him just getting to be happy without it being tied to something bad or something bad happening seconds after.
Not this B.S where they're like "Oh he's had a beyond terrible life but him dying and maybe finding peace is the perfect way to end all that" that the writers are really trying to sell.
P.S and it's official I'm only watching Legacies for Landon and Hope. Only scenes that concerns them. Everyone else can bite me. Also sorry for my mini rant.
They have quite an ability to be able to do that, huh? They’ve really been on a mission to make sure no one cares about Landon, and have now made it so even Raf and Hope are willing to let him die. I can’t. I wouldn’t say I dislike Raf because that was so completely ooc and inconsistent, I don’t even count it as canon. These writers need to go back and watch their own show. They clearly don’t even know their characters because Raf would have never said the crap he said this episode. And literally, the fact that he had no reaction to all that Landon has been through? The guy who tossed a chair and was ready to fight just when they voted Landon out of the school? Who went and beat up the guy who burned Landon with cigarettes? Who was about to attack MG after he killed Landon, and would have if Hope hadn’t stopped him? Really? Why do the writers make it so no one talks about it?? It’s like they are avoiding saying anything about Landon’s trauma and not letting anyone react to what he’s been through. It’s so obvious that they’re ignoring it, and it’s truly bizarre and not right at all.
And then Raf being okay with Landon dying is just...I have no words. And I certainly don’t buy it. Like when you think about all that Raf has done for Landon, all that he has said, that scene just contradicts all of it basically. That’s not at all how Raf has been, especially not when it comes to Landon. Even just with 3x01, Landon had wanted to sacrifice himself for the greater good, and Raf did not want him to. He convinced him not to, saying hero moves lead to tragedy, he didn’t want Landon to stop fighting. So why is he not saying this sort of thing to Hope? Why is he not telling her to keep fighting and find a way to save Landon? Why is Hope not trying to do that herself? Why are they even considering letting Landon die when they could find a way to get Malivore out of him first? Like they were trying to do last episode, and they would have done if Malivore hadn’t known what they were trying to do? It’s not as if there are no options here, it is possible to get Malivore out of Landon, they don’t even know if Landon has to die. But no one is making any effort now? Raf, the one who wanted Hope to look after Landon when he left and for Landon to live a good life, isn’t gonna encourage her to find a way to save Landon? Whatever Hope ends up doing is fine? And if Landon dies, it’s okay, he’ll understand? No.
And oh my gosh that line. Yes, it pissed me off too. I was pissed off by all of it honestly, and just a lot of stuff about the episode regarding Landon. But that line... that’s just wrong. And yes, of course Landon deserves to find peace when he dies but exactly, he needs to live first! (And also, with tvdu, we know when they find peace they’re with their loved ones, so who would Landon have? The people he loves would still be alive. He’d still be alone. Unless maybe Seylah dies when Malivore dies, or maybe he could be with Klaus, Hayley, and Elijah. But he still would be without Raf and Hope for who knows how long until they die.) He’s had a horrible life, he’s not had hardly any happiness, he deserves to live a happy life already, and a long one too. Yeah, he should get to have kids if he wants or whatever else he wants to do. (And I’ve totally thought about him wanting to make movies as well!) But yes, whatever it is, he just deserves to live a happy and safe life for once. Them adding that line and having Raf say that of all people?! So, so wrong. They really brought Raf back only to do that, can’t believe.
And actually, this reminds me of TVD and what they did to Stefan. And if you’re not a Stefan fan, I’m sorry and you can just ignore this, but this reminds me of the same sort of messed up mentality that went behind their decision to kill Stefan. Like it’s the same thing, Stefan suffered the most, he had the most guilt and pain, therefore he should die so he can be “free” of that pain, he can find peace. Now they’re doing the same kind of thing with Landon. Obviously Landon didn’t do the things Stefan did and doesn’t have the guilt. But it’s actually worse because he’s completely innocent and he’s still suffered and had a horrible life, but it’s fine for him to be the one to die, then he can be free and find peace? Are you kidding me? This is their way of justifying deaths of characters who deserve to live. Pick the one who is in the most pain and instead of giving them a life where they can live without that pain, kill them and act as if it’s liberating them from their suffering. When you could literally just let them live and be happy instead? (Like Landon and Hope finally were in 3x04?) What kind of message are they sending with this?? Basically, the more you suffer, the more okay it is for you to die? I’m so done.
But yeah, I’ve only been watching for Landon and Hope for a long time. Idc about any of the other characters. I just hope they won’t screw anything else up when it comes to Landon and Hope because I’m not sure I can take it. And it’s all good, feel free to rant. As you can see, I’m very much in a ranting mood myself after that episode.

Bad English (signs so that my thoughts will not be lost). We've found that Malivor prefers psychological to physical abuse. For this reason, a dream came to me which I know will not come true, but no one will take it from me. This is, in fact, killing Landon's soul will make Malivor truly immortal and immune to Hope's blood. He knew that Landon's "friend" would leave him because he believed that supernatural beings despise people or stick to their species because even in this school the integration is apparent, and the most integrative was the musical created by Landon, because the talent competition is not won by the best but the group, sports competitions Similarly. End of digression. Malivor, he thought that they would let go easily and would hit the blow without any problems, but the surprise of Hope's love is stronger than all these divisions. As for Landon, Landon has already sacrificed himself once, fortunately he had Raf who would "hit him on the head" and persuade him to come back. And now there is no one to do it, it's a stupid idea and you have to say Hope. I may sound horrible, but there is a difference in transforming between killing Malivor and avenging Landon and saving him. Landon will suffer forever, and as long as it doesn't sound like Hope, in this world such a sacrifice may be one season and so he will probably transform saving some of his "friends". And, to make it more interesting, Clark would find out and even for selfish reasons, because dad will stay here forever and Hope said everything. And Malivore in his speech praised that the Squad behaved as predicted, that they would abandon Landon because that is their trait, what they need a man for, if you could kill him because you couldn't think of anything else. I guess it's a bit chaotic, but I really want these "noble" creatures to be subdued for their hypocrisy. And the really noble ones like Landon and Hope so far only suffer, and the worst thing is that they seem to think it's their duty to keep others from suffering.
For sure, he definitely knows how to mess with people psychologically. And that’s a very interesting theory, and I’ve wondered if one of his goals has been to “erase” Landon, to have complete control of his body, which could allow him to gain the power he wants. So you make a good point with that theory. And I wonder if Malivore did know Landon’s “friends” would leave him? I guess if he has access to all of Landon’s memories he’d know that they don’t care about him, so it’d be pretty easy to predict that they’d leave him behind based on their past actions. And true, they have seemed to stick to their own species and other supernaturals more similar to them, while excluding Landon. And yes! I’ve wondered if Malivore had planned for Landon to get separated from everyone in 3x04, making everyone believe he was dead so they’d let him go and Malivore could possess him more easily. And now he probably sees just how easily Landon’s “friends” let him go, even with the chance to save him. But Hope is a whole other issue for him because of how much she loves Landon and is willing to fight for him.
And yeah, I thought the same thing about Raf too. He was the one to convince Landon to not sacrifice himself last time, by showing Landon how his death would affect Hope. But now Landon doesn’t have Raf, or anyone to talk to who cares about him just as much as Hope. And he believes that sacrificing himself is the right choice and the only way to save Hope, because he knows becoming the tribrid isn’t what Hope wants. But he must also know how that Hope doesn’t want to lose him either, so it’s such a messed up situation, and he can’t even talk to Hope about it. Yet the ones who can talk to her lie to her instead. And you’re right because it’s just very different since Landon would be suffering alone, forever, with no way out. So I don’t even think you can compare the fate that Landon would have to Hope having to become a tribrid, if that’s what you mean? But yeah, if your theory about Malivore becoming more powerful by killing Landon’s soul is correct, sacrificing Landon would be a huge mistake and the squad abandoning Landon would be the cause of that happening. It would actually make more sense if they made the squad behave the way they have for a reason, if it really is for plot purposes. And honestly, same, I’d love for the squad to face some consequences for their actions. They really are hypocrites. I’m so sick and tired of Hope and Landon being the ones to suffer and that they feel the need to keep suffering for everyone else. I really hope things will change because this can’t go on.
