I kind of miss getting to know the interior of other people’s homes. So many of my friendships in adulthood are distant, or long distance/only talking over the phone, difficult to make actual plans with because of Real Life Schedules Now, etc. etc., but like in school and stuff as a kid you can just hang out at someone’s house for a few days, have a sleepover every weekend, etc. etc. I still remember the interior of all of my childhood friend’s homes, I remember all the details to the rooms and the layout of the yards and etc. etc. There’s just something kind of neat about Knowing another person’s housing space, what the décor says about them, the history of how they came to live there and their household routines and what it’s like, etc. I feel like it can be an important part of really deeply understanding someone so it’s weird to talk to and vaguely know a handful of people, but also not even know what their bedrooms look like or how they organize the dishes after washing them or etc. etc.

idk man the John wick films just seem so lovingly crafted. it's an original story with such care, effort, and time put into every level of production. the action and stunts are stunning; the lingering overhead fight scene in chapter four was incredible. the vivid colors and thoughtful framing of each scene; the depth of the worldbuilding and the way it immerses you in the lore of the world without holding your hand through exposition as if you're stupid. the fun and stylized character archetypes. the costumes. the sets. the work that must have gone into everything... but hearing the cast and crew talk about it sounds like it was a labor of love. and it shows! marvel could spend billions on a movie and it wouldn't touch the artistry and excitement and creative joy i experienced in these four films. i'm so glad that movies like these, and everything everywhere all at once, movies made by people who love what they do, are still being created and enjoyed.

Having Failtopia, specifically Failtopia lore, be an actual special interest of mine that I’ve had for years is both a blessing and a curse when a good portion of Failboat fans/fan communities that talk about the bits of lore Daniel’s channel includes have barely heard of the series, let alone watched it

I've been looking at ideas for apartment layout and I do not enjoy looking at pristine desks with almost nothing on them except the computer and some glass jars. (only writers get an exception from my complaint about this and still only the ones that keep all their notes digitally). what are people doing there???? where is the desk burdened with materials? where is all the stuff you use when you sit down and create things? I'm not expecting a mess here; it's not hard to nicely arrange a lot of stuff. But these pics are too empty. They're not useful to me as interior design inspiration because they couldn't handle more stuff. too delicate. Another terrible variant is the pristine house full of kitschy crap on every free surface. Same problem as the empty case but now the design is overburdened already. No room to live there unless you want to push aside the faux-aged books and the fake heirloom things on the shelfs (that have nothing practical on them). I cannot stand it when the entirety of pointless home design demands being filled with garbage as a sad attempt to hide how useless the house itself is to anyone that lives there. (this is extremely common in cookie-cutter houses in suburban wastelands like Las Vegas)
I request more cozy lived-in small spaces inspiration. With books and stacks of papers and that little pile of computer dongles and your headphones and doodads that collect on top of the books you're trying to read and over on the sofa there's a few blankets and your nintendo switch and another pair of headphones and on the side table is a half-put away board game and on the coffee table is some craft stuff you were working on while watching The Terror.
