I don't mind the DD/SoJ Phoenix soundclips for 2026 Phoenix (in the AJ Collection), but hearing them in the flashback case is... very weird.

I don't particularly like it, though that's the case with most other "updated" features in the flashback...

Apparently Apollo Justice Trilogy is coming out to the west physically!!!

At least it's being sold in Canada officially, through VGP and Amazon Canada. And VGP did confirm this is not an exclusive of theirs. Now to wait and see if Capcom confirms this and adds links to their website or just let it happen without acknowledging it. Usually they are slow with physical pre-orders at least with ace attorney in the west.

So I'm holding out for US stores to get them, but I'm VERY excited. Would this mean they finally release the OG ace attorney trilogy in the west???!!! Maybe a new updated version with concept art and interviews like TGAA and/or the new scenario creator like in AJT.

Maybe add actual videos like old commercials, translated interviews and a soundtrack playlist???!!! And ofc announce Miles Edgeworth Investigations Duology Release??????!!!!!! I'd just cry if we actually got all the ace attorney games physically in the west finally.

Somehow we still need to get those aa mobile games tho (poker, hanafuda, maybe a port of the pachinko game, etc.)

You’ll never see me claiming Apollo Justice Ace Attorney HD or Ace Attorney Investigations Duology HD (mobile) sprites overall are better than The 2019 Trilogy HD Sprites.To me some of the outlines for characters don’t work well or don’t look good at certain spots. AAI’s outline style works better usually but AA Trilogy’s Black outlines regardless look the most balanced to use. I think for a compromise, have certain outlines a certain material but maybe make it more dark but have some parts look better straight black (Earlier I made an edit where I combine the style of AJ HD with 2019 Phoenix Wright of that. I loathed doing that edit btw).The another problem is that the characters look flat. To me AJ Sprites look the most flat. It’s probably the shading but idk it doesn’t look well. I know some characters look fine for both games but idk. Gumshoe in AJ though gawd looks mad ugly. They should have used the AAI style for him. Last thing is size. AAI-2 and AJ Sprites (with the exception of perceive surging eyes closeups probably) are rather smaller and seems they lose detail the closer you look or can only look better at from far away (but that makes sense)

Now I noticed for the 2019 Trilogy, Rise From The Ashes characters sprites (aside from Meekins) look quite similar to AJHD and AAI HD sprite designs. But the difference is RFTA ones appear less flat looking to me and just works very well.

So if you are not interested with how the 2019 (non RFTA) characters interesting non flat blending and shading style, your standard should use RFTA style as the true template to for AJ and AAI-2 HD sprite design.
